Heroes Season 3 Episode 23

Sylar the shapeshifter, Danko, and HRG started to play mind games on each other in Heroes Season 3 Episode 22, as little Matt Parkman gave big Matt Parkman the encouragement he needed to continue. At the end of the episode, Angela, Peter, Nathan, Claire, and HRG proceeded to dig up a bunch of bones when they arrived at Coyote Sands.

The digging continues. There are a lot of graves there. What happened out there?

Flashback to February 1961 and a relocation center. Angela and her sister Alice are meeting Dr. Chandra Suresh. One of the first people she meets is named Linderman. The doctor told their parents that place would make Angela’s nightmares go away. She assured her little sister everything would be fine. Before she and her parents died there. Now she knows that everybody needs to come together there now, or history will repeat itself.

Angela’s been dreaming about her sister, alive. She thinks she has to find her body to give her a proper burial. The company started there and worked fine for 50 years… until now. Peter and Claire aren’t very happy about the ways of the company, such as memory erasing, blackmail, and murder.

Young Angela believed she and the other freaks were there to be saved. Her nightmares came true, not the coolest power.

Alice has something to share with her sister. She thinks she can control the weather.

Claire asked for some alone time with Angela. Why didn’t she tell Nathan and Peter about her sister? After dancing around the question, Angela asks: did you ever do something so shameful that if you talk about it you might never stop crying? Then they’re interrupted by Angela’s dream coming to life.

Peter still blames his brother for making him miss a 1986 World Series game. Missing Mookie Wilson somehow continues to interfere with their relationship 20 years later.

There’s a severe storm warning over Coyote Sands. Mohinder arrives just in time to find the hectic conditions. He came to find out what his father was doing there 50 years ago as a doctor. Now he’s not so sure he wants to know.

Back to black-and-whiteville. Suresh wants to talk to Angela. She’s had dreams about him. He’s going to kill everybody there. He wants her to rest assured… that won’t happen.

With that flashback done, the storm’s gone, but so is Angela.

Seeing the bones, Mohinder’s disillusioned by his father’s killingness. He worked there and survived, while everybody else died. The most obvious answer is usually the right one. HRG defends his dad.

Suresh thinks they’re destined to repeat their parents’ mistakes. Nonetheless, he has to believe there is hope for redemption.

Claire can’t remember the last book she read or the last movie she saw. When does she get to go back? When does digging graves not seem like just a regular everyday experience?

Back in 1961, Angela’s plotting an escape. Her sister would just slow them down, though, so she’ll have to lie to her and leave her behind.

A growed up Angela gets a visit from her also growed up sister Alice.

Having escaped, Angela’s having trouble getting the cops to believe her. Rather than worrying about that, she’ll have a dance to make up for missing her prom. The cook won’t let her dance with a colored, but they don’t have to be afraid since he’s got the power to make him forget what he saw and go back to his cooking. When she hears about a severe storm warning, she insists they have to get back to Alice.

Alice really is still alive. She’s been there for 50 years, staying in that same place because her sister told her she’d be safe if she stayed there. And the world would be safe from her.

The night Angela left, Dr. Suresh came for Alice. Wanting him to not experiment on her, she created a severe storm. Then total chaos erupted, and armed guards began firing on people with abilities.

Now that her life’s pretty much over already, Alice doesn’t have to stay there any more. She can go home. Wherever that is.

Angela apologizes for lying to her. Time for another storm and some people to get knocked out with lightning. Despite an apology from Angela, Alice doesn’t want to go home. She will take her up on that leaving the place she’s stayed at for 50 years, though.

Peter’s ready to leave, but Suresh will be staying behind. He’s not ready to forgive himself yet.

Peter has realized that families have the capacity for forgiveness. They need to try to put their lives back together.

Nathan plans to go back to Washington, take ownership of his mistakes, and talk to the President. Looks like Sylar beat him to it. He’s on the TV holding a news conference in Nathan’s body.

The Celebrity Apprentice 2 Episode 7

Last week’s double firing in The Celebrity Aprentice 2 Episode 6 was brought to you in part by Donald Trump’s ego. If you missed the first hour and 50 minutes, don’t worry. You didn’t miss anything related to the firings. First, Tionne was told by Trump how impressed by her he was the prior week. Then, she was fired after he asked if she remembered Bradford (she didn’t, and nobody else does either), who got fired for volunteering to come back to the boardroom. Next, it was Khloe Kardashian’s turn to be fired. What did she do wrong? She got a DUI before the show even began filming, which Trump was too incompetent to figure out until after the first 6 episodes had aired. Taking the moral high ground, Trump (yeah, Donald Trump) fired her on the basis of not wanting someone who had a DUI in her history to be on his show, although he had no problem letting Dennis Rodman run around drunk for 6 episodes. In the real world, this would be illegal. So much about this being a show about business lessons. This is the same hope for ratings that sank this show the first time, and it looks like Trump’s trying to do it again.

Joan expects Clint to be fired, but if he’s not fired, she says she will not work with him again.

Clint and Melissa both expected the people they brought back would be safe. They should have been.

Brian McKnight will be on Athena now that he’s back.

Trump asks if anybody has any problems with the boardroom. Joan speaks up. Trump defends himself. Not well.

Natalie Gulbis will be the project manager for Kotu. Brian will be the project manager for Athena. The two people who haven’t led a task, Annie Duke and Jesse James, do not step forward. Annie doesn’t want to be the manager for this because it’s too subjective and she doesn’t have a great deal of control over what the person judging it will think.

This week’s task is for an identity theft company. They’re going to create an in-store point of sale display.

Annie takes the lead on asking the executives questions. Brian just sits back and lets her run with it.

Next we see an ad for Joan and Melissa’s “viral” videos. Combined, with two national promotions, they’ve managed to generate just over 3000 views. Should have gone with Jesse’s video, All.

Joan’s a bit of a one trick pony, wanting to make their display funny. The others opt for a theme that revolves around a safe.

Jesse will be doing the display design for his team.

Brande will just sit back and let the others do whatever they want. She doesn’t plan to give any input on the task, believing that, if she just does as she’s told, she’ll be fine.

Athena’s construction design team has been waiting around killing time for three and a half hours. Annie finally asks Brian if anyone’s called the construction guy about time lines. His response: no one has. So would he like somebody to do that? Annie calls. Melissa’s take on Annie calling the guy: she’s just covering her own butt. The answer Annie gets is that they need to be there by 4:00. They have 15 minutes. Nobody else seems concerned by this. So then she calls Brande and Jesse and has them leave and get there as quickly as they can.

Jesse believes he’s getting sick, which is bad news for his team because he’s been relied on quite a bit. After he vomits, maybe he’ll feel a little better. For him, though, there’s no excuse to sit on the sidelines unless he’s dying, so he’s going to keep trying.

Brande is there merely to serve as a distraction to the guys who are trying to work on the design.

Joan believes their concept is boring. She suggests to Natalie that they should use Herschel Walker in their display. In addition to celebrity, she wants to use humor, and idea that shows who’s really running this task.

With that said, at 5:15PM, they call Clint to say they want to change everything. His concern is time. Somehow, this leads to an argument between him and Herschel. Clint’s the only one who realizes that the ad can’t stay as is if they add a bunch of stuff to it. They’ll have to shrink the rest of it down.

Athena’s CD is blank. The designers need something not blank to be sent to them so that they can finish their work.

George is concerned about the lack of creativity he sees from Athena.

Joan has decided she can tolerate Clint.

Athena is struggling with technology. First, they lack technology at the design place, so it must be done at the printer by the other half of the team. Then, they struggle with e-mail because the image is too big. Annie blames their troubles on the lack of understanding of a deadline by anyone until the last minute.

When the others arrive at the design place, they’re impressed that Jesse’s still working despite being sick, but they don’t like that Brande’s not doing anything on her own.

The night before, Natalie decided that they should pack in a couple hours before 10, instead of going back to Brooklyn to see what they are going to be working with. The next morning, they realize the faces are too small, so they’ll need to run around trying to get the fixed version. With one minute remaining, they return and are ready to go.

Joan does the presentation for Kotu. She thought her presentation was just okay.

Brian will be doing the presentation for Athena. He wants to sell them the display, not the product.

Natalie was impressed by her team, although she’s not sure they won.

Clint believes Natalie was a great project manager. Joan rates her about average.

Kotu’s positives: original idea, great use of celebrities
Kotu’s negative: display units didn’t house the packaging (anyone wanting to buy would have to call or go elsewhere)

Athena’s positives: good presentation, good brand messaging
Athena’s negatives: spin on what they had already done, not very original

Kotu won, despite the lack of actual product. Had Joan not stepped in and forced them to change it and add celebrity pictures with bright colors, they may not have won, although the quality of the packaging was pretty good without that. Natalie will receive $20,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of America.

Joan is pretty sure her daughter is safe because Brande’s going home based on her conversation with Annie at dinner last night. I have to wonder whether she heard what she wanted to hear.

Annie blames mainly Brian about the fact that they ran out of time.

George found Brian to be very laid back.

When asked who she thought was the weak link on the team, Annie says Brian. Because she didn’t say Brande, Joan assumes she must be a trouble maker.

George says that it’s not good that they spent so much time on the presentation, which was Melissa’s primary focus. If her daughter is fired, Joan will quit, too. So she says.

Brande blames the project manager Brian. Jesse would also fire him.

Melissa would fire Brande because she doesn’t think ahead or outside of the box. She just does as she’s told.

Annie agrees. She doesn’t stick her neck out. Ivanka counters that Annie is just like that, since she hasn’t stepped up as a project manager.

Brian doesn’t seem overly concerned whether he’s fired or not. He chooses Brande and Melissa. With that, Joan breaks her glass and starts packing.

Melissa blames Annie. Uh, Melissa, Annie’s not even on the firing line with you. Stick to Brian and Brande.

Brian says that he doesn’t like the idea of firing anyone, so he doesn’t offer an opinion who should go.

Brande doesn’t think that Brian wants to be there any more. He responds that, in some ways, he’s had enough. With that said, Brian’s fired. He’s okay with that decision, accepting responsibility for the loss.

Still an awful lot of time left in this show, though. Something else is going to happen.

Trump wants them to be brought back in.

Their next task starts right now.

They will hold a fashion show and jewelry auction. Because Trump’s daughter has a jewelry line, they will be selling her product.

Annie will be the project manager for Athena. Joan suggests Herschel as project manager for Kotu. Trump would rather see Joan do it. Time for a showdown between Annie and Joan. Yeah, this wasn’t staged.

The first thing Annie does is assign tasks. She picks Melissa for jewelry. Melissa wants to do clothes as well. Brande will be in charge of that, though. Melissa is offended.

Brande’s excited about being involved in this task. She has booked the models to give them first pick, and she’s got evening gowns lined up as well. She’s proving she’s the right choice for this task. Melissa’s slowly growing more irritated, although you can’t really tell because she has no facial expressions.

Joan’s goal is to get the nicest, cheapest jewelry.

Clint will be the auctioneer for Kotu.

Joan is continuing the personal attacks on Annie. She’s over her fight with Clint. Now it’s time for fresh blood.

Annie’s already lined up a buyer for $25k, or whatever she needs to win. That’s more than anybody else on the other team thinks they can get from all their buyers. Melissa, who apparently doesn’t realize she’s on Annie’s team, doesn’t like this.

Annie tells her team that, if they lose, whoever raises the least is going to be taken into the boardroom to be fired. Jesse doesn’t want to waste his bullets unless it’s going to his charity or for when it counts.

The other team knows how dangerous Annie is. They come up with an idea to pool all their money. If they don’t sell a piece, they don’t have to pay the wholesale price for that piece. All they have to do is sell their cheapest piece for a lot of money and make a big profit.

Natalie is in charge of picking the jewelry. Joan has opted to let her do that, although it’s not entirely clear why.

Joan is unhappy with the jewelry that Natalie picked. They won’t display well on a runway. Natalie says that the jewelry Melissa picked was too flashy and chunky. Joan says her daughter was right. Not that she’d ever say she was wrong.

Annie and Brande are spearheading the phone calls to the donors, in an effort to pick up the slack for Melissa and Jesse.

One of Brande’s donors says he’ll raise as much money as they need to win.

Natalie’s already exhausted her rolodex, so she asks: are there any poker players who would like to beat Annie?

Natalie and Joan decide to go to the department store, so Clint and Herschel are left to the task of picking models. Jesse realizes that this was a mistake when he sees what the women on his team are looking for from models.

In addition to the fact that they actually paid attention to what they should have with the models, Athena comes up with the idea of making Brande the model for the piece of jewelry that her big donor will be buying. Somehow, this offends Melissa, too.

Watching Joan and Natalie shopping, it’s not as if Clint and Herschel would have been any better at this aspect of the task either.

Brande’s concerned what she’s going to wear, so Melissa takes over the task of dressing the other girls.

Natalie hopes to get some money from Phil Hellmuth, one of the leading poker champions.

Trump has asked someone to keep an eye on Annie and Joan, project leaders who hate each other, as well as the bratty Melissa and Jesse, who hasn’t raised any money. It’s Piers Morgan, last year’s winner.

The Amazing Race 14 Episode 8

Having gone the opposite way of the rest of the pack, Mel & Mike were eliminated in The Amazing Race 14 Episode 7.

Last week, CBS managed to get things started on time when the CMAs were on. Now that TAR is back, we’re delayed again. 60 Minutes is running about 35 minutes late due to a golf overrun. A live blog will begin as soon as 60 Minutes is over.

Teams depart in the order in which they arrived.

First: Tammy & Victor – 9:27PM (I’m assuming this is actually supposed to be 12:27AM)
Second: Jaime & Cara – 12:31AM
Third: Mark & Michael – 12:46AM
Fourth: Margie & Luke – 12:53AM
Fifth: Kisha & Jen – 1:05AM

Teams will now fly from Phuket to Bangkok, Thailand, about 400 miles away. All the teams get on the same flight.

When they land, Kisha & Jen and Margie & Luke are right near each other, and their cab drivers (both lost) start talking to each other to figure out where they’re going. Kisha & Jen take off, but Margie & Luke stay behind because their driver heard some locals shouting instructions. Kisha & Jen blame Margie & Luke for their cab driver’s mistake.

They stop at the boat yard. The road block is to assemble a propeller for a longtail boat.

Road block (in order of arrival): Margie, Jaime, Victor, Mark, Kisha

They’d better hope those propellers work okay because they’ll have to ride those boats through the Bangkok canals. Like what happened with Victor, who got his propeller okayed, then his boat wouldn’t move.

The first two teams took their bags with them. Mark & Michael and Kisha & Jen have opted against this, although Kisha did want to go back for her fanny pack and shoes but was vetoed by Jen. Tammy & Victor also grab their bags.

Jen wasn’t aware that they didn’t have their fanny pack, with their money and passports (lose those, and you’re out). Unlike before when Jen didn’t want to be bothered, now it’s Kisha who says not to turn the boat around.

The detour is a choice between broken teeth or broken record. In broken teeth, teams will go to the street of happy smiles and search through 50 sets of dentures to find good matches for 5 of the waiting patients. In broken record, teams will ride in a party taxi and sing karaoke for 5 miles, hoping for good traffic, which Jaime & Cara don’t get, so Jaime proceeds to get rude as usual.

Upon arrival, Mark & Michael realize they’ll need to get their bags at the boatyard. Their boat has left by this time, so they’ll have to find another way. They realize they don’t have enough money to get back. Mark & Michael are arguing about whether to bother getting the bags or not. They do have the money and passports they need to continue, but now it’s a question of how much comfort they wish to continue in. They eventually decide to go back.

A shoeless Kisha and her sister don’t want to go back until the task is over.

Broken teeth: Margie & Luke
Broken record: Jaime & Cara, Kisha & Jen, Tammy & Victor

Now that their detour is over, Kisha & Jen don’t have any money. Luckily a taxi driver has pity on them and agrees to take them to the pit stop for free. It’ll be interesting what the rules are as to whether they’re going to be allowed to go back after check in for their bags that they intentionally left. Last year, Dan & Andrew were forced to leave their shoes because they were dumb enough to leave them behind.

The pit stop for this leg of the race is Phya Thai Palace. When they arrive at the pit stop, we find out what the penalty is for not having your passport: go back and get it. They were third, but they’ll need to go back, which they should have been smart enough to do when Kisha was yelling at the beginning (and then again when Jen was telling her they needed to do so).

When Mark & Michael arrive, they are penalized again. Since they ran out of money, they used their belongings, which is a violation of the race rules. They have incurred a 2 hour penalty. Times 2. In total, they have received 4 hours in penalties. This is a joke, right? Make the penalty match the offense. A 4 hour penalty is the same penalty as they would have received if they quit a task, and it’s 8 times the penalty they got last week for tampering with race equipment.

First: Margie & Luke (win a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico)
Second: Jaime & Cara
Third: Tammy & Victor
Fourth: Kisha & Jen
Non-eliminated: Mark & Michael

Hard to say who made the dumber move here. Both teams could have made much better decisions. In addition to their 4 hour penalty, Mark & Michael must complete a speed bump. Makes me wonder if next week even has a point to it.

Reaper Season 2 Episode 6

The boys found a baby in Reaper Season 2 Episode 5. Unable to care for it, they gave it to the first demon to come knocking, Tony.

Sock and Sam are watching bug fighting. Surely PETA will not appreciate this sport.

Then the Devil pays Sam a visit. First, he’s trying to figure out how to use a video camera. Then, he tells Sam his next soul is some tentacle thing. The vessel is a grenade. Sam plans to turn this into a road trip with Sock, Ben, and Andi.

Ben’s growing a little too attached to his demon girlfriend. She wants to be left alone for a while, and she wants to go eat a llama. Then she drops by to see Andi and notices the postcard for Dove Hollow. Ben invited her to go along on their little road trip. Oh, and by the way, Sam must be a little evil because he’s the son of the Devil.

The hotel only has three rooms. Sock and his sister will have to share a room/bed. The guy at the hotel suggests taking his sister to the silver mine. It’s quite a sight. When they go to get sandwiches, Andi and Sam are also told to go to the mine. Then, a whining Ben is told to go to the mine when he’s drowning his sorrows at the bar. The whole town’s in on this capture and kill tourists bit, and Sam’s car is among the missing, so they’re pretty much stuck there.

They report the car to the sheriff. He had the car towed, but the impound lot is closed for now. Perhaps tomorrow they can get it. Then he asks sam if he believes in Hell.

Ben’s on the phone talking to his girlfriend’s machine. Again. Andi is concerned by his stalkeriness. The word clingy might have come up. That’s not good. He’s gotta call her to make sure everything’s okay. Andi turns the phone off, though.

Every now and then, Sam gets this weird Devil power. He tries to use it to open a wine bottle. He’s getting pretty comfortable with all this Devil stuff, isn’t he? “I have no choice” is starting to sound like an excuse. So like did an angry Sam just blow up the wine?

When Sock walks into the room, he finds two beds, one that rolls away. Well, that spoils his plans to sleep with his sister. He has to figure out a way to get rid of that second bed before she notices. Maybe if he chucks it out the window. On a car. When she hears the alarm going off, Kristen knows he threw the cot out the window. She realizes he was protecting her virginity. For himself. She wouldn’t like him, though, even if they were not related. Women are like a mystery wrapped inside a mystery wrapped inside a third mystery.

Kristen goes down to the bar where Sock’s getting drunk and introduces herself to him. They’re just meeting randomly at a bar. He uses his best line. “Hi, I think you’re standing on my penis.” One bed in the room will be fine by her.

The next morning, Sam and Andi are getting ready to leave and want to go get their car. They run into the sheriff. Do they have any idea how a bed is on his car? Sock opens his window and looks out. He’s not afraid to shout from the rooftops that it is his cot. He needs to be dragged away in handcuffs now. He’ll be released on Wednesday.

The sheriff wants to know about the soul hunter thing he found in Sam’s car. It’s a school project.

Sam will be going off to what could possibly be his death now. Andi’s not worried.

Nina arrives in Dove Hollow looking for her friends, since Ben hasn’t left her any new messages lately. Has she been out to see the mine yet? She says the bartender is off and not real, and he smells like Hell. She smells delicious to him, so he’ll eat her now.

Ben suggests letting Sock dig his way out of the jail like in Shawshank Redemption. Didn’t it take that guy like 20 years? Perhaps they can break the lock instead. Ben wants to get the pickaxe from the bar, where he notices Nina’s purse. The bartender’s not sure where she went, but on second thought, Ben can borrow the axe. Then the guy and his green blood goes all over the place. Perhaps the sheriff really is on their side.

The sheriff has done what he can to make people leave the town. Everybody in the town is the soul. He plans to smoke out the soul so that he will be driven toward the guys, waiting there with their grenade. Ben’s happy to just jump into that mine with the grenade now that his girlfriend’s gone. If a girl doesn’t hit on him, Sock will get lost in his eyes for days. That convinces him he doesn’t want to die, and then he’s pulled in by the creature. Then there’s an explosion, and the grenade pops out of the mine.

When they return to the sheriff’s office, they find out he didn’t set the fire. On the contrary, he warned the thing that they were coming. He wants his twisted little town to stay the same as it’s been. He’d like to shoot them now, but first he will have to load his gun.

They steal the sheriff’s car and start to fleeing. The sheriff’s somehow right in front of them, so they’ll just keep driving and hope they don’t get shot. The car dies right directly in front of the sheriff.

The Devil gives Sam a vessel to bargain with. The town and the sheriff’s creepy friends are all in that grenade.

Sam knows the sheriff used to be a good person, once upon a time, but the sheriff says it’s too late to change, so Sam tosses the grenade back into the mine. Nina’s back. Sam convinces her to let the sheriff live so he’ll have to live with what he did. Nina believes that Sam is diabolical for wanting this guy to suffer, which turns her on.

Kristen’s made her way back home on her own, and she feels ashamed. But she’s in America now, a country that doesn’t give a rat’s ass about shame. Now she can sleep with her brother again, or at least she would be able to if their parents didn’t just show up.

The Devil tells Sam he can withstand any blow. Such as Andi dumping him.

The Apprentice UK Series 5 Episode 3

After the boys lost, Rocky was fired on The Apprentice UK Series 5 Episode 2 because he was too young. So why did they let him on the show in the first place?

The task is to invent a piece of portable home fitness equipment to be sold to retailers.

Since it’s been two whole weeks and the teams have only racked up one loss each, it’s time to mix the teams up. Kimberly and Kate go to Empire. Noorul and Phillip go to Ignite.

Debra volunteers to be the project manager for Ignite, which Lorraine doesn’t seem overly happy about. James volunteers to lead Empire.

Ben wants to do something kinky.

Debra fears that her whole team is uncreative.

Having dropped the concept of creating something that you can use during sex (then again, he may still have that in mind), Ben suggests that they need to get rid of the nation’s bingo wings, which I’m going to assume is an actual term. He wants to create a product that allows people to do assisted tricep dips.

Phillip wants to do a square Swiss and/or Swedish ball. Debra suggests an ankle exerciser. Both their ideas are shot down by a personal trainer. The problem with getting advice from a trainer is that they don’t necessarily need something that works. People will buy any sort of useless crap if it’s marketed correctly.

Mona doesn’t think Noorul should be on the ad because he’s not very good looking. Yasmina agrees and calls project manager Debra, who is offended. She believes the proposal is racist because she doesn’t live in bloody Vietnam (yeah, like that won’t offend someone).

One half of Empire visits a store to find out what sells, and they decide to just keep it simple. The other half of the team goes to the gym and wants to go the opposite direction.

Debra’s team arrives at the prototype maker, still undecided. Phillip suggests a bum ball. They agree to do that.

Ben has ignored advice to keep it simple and pushes a more complicated idea. The design team will be pulling an all nighter.

At 7 the next morning, they get a delivery. Ignite’s bum ball has been rebranded the body rocker. Empire’s bingo buster has been changed to a gym in a box, though James is not particularly enthusiastic about it.

Lorraine has requested to do the pitch. Debra doesn’t like the job she does but lets her pitch anyway.

Kate and Ben will be doing the modeling for Empire, a sensible choice.

Debra has selected Mona and Noorul to model, a less sensible choice. She also chooses Yasmina to take the pictures. Rather, she chooses Yasmina to aim a camera exactly as she instructs her and refuses to leave her be.

After Lorraine gets up to do the pitch, Debra offers an opinion that her pitching style is like it’s to someone either hard of hearing or slightly stupid. So why didn’t she say no and make someone else do it?

Kate does the pitch for her team. Their first stop is a retailer that targets a mid-to-high end customer. Why exactly did the show book them, then? Obviously, a portable product is going to be fairly cheap. Perhaps, though, this is more of a slam on their everything in a box idea, as this can be more comparable to a home gym, whereas the other team’s is only comparable to a Swiss ball.

When Debra’s team visits John Lewis, they ask about an exclusive. They have not considered that as an idea. Yasmina offers exclusivity for 6 months for 20,000 units. The response is that this is not a good deal.

Ben says that James was an okay team leader.

James liked the concept, but he didn’t like the end product.

Debra’s team likewise thinks she was okay.

Debra says that Lorraine tried her best with the pitch, which wasn’t very good. Phillip responds that Lorraine did a fantastic job and doesn’t appear to like that Debra’s being critical, which is something she seems to be good at.

Powerhouse did not place any orders for Empire. Ignite received an order for 80 units.

Totally Fitness did not place any orders for Empire either. Ignite received an order for 100 units.

John Lewis ordered 500 from Empire. Ignite was unable to get the 20,000 Yasmina asked for, but they did get an order for 10,000, resulting in a complete slaughter. Sir Alan thinks that they have Phillip and Lorraine to thank for this win, which probably is not what Debra was wanting to hear.

James says that he didn’t want to jeopardize the creativity of the concept by actually being involved in product development. Sir Alan suggests that Howard’s just sitting too much on the fence as well.

They totally missed their target audience, not that they appear to know what their target audience was anyway.

Kate blames the project team: Ben, Maj, or Kim.

Maj blames the project manager. James says that Maj just came along for the ride.

Ben says that James was delighted when they got the product the next morning. Was he watching the same James I was?

James will be bringing Ben and Maj back with him into the boardroom.

Margaret agrees Maj was just a passenger. Nick thinks that Ben’s the most fit, so he should have had the most knowledge. Sir Alan doesn’t like that Ben never has anything positive to say.

Maj blames his project manager for not giving him a big enough role.

Ben blames the retail research team. Yeah, the one that said to keep it simple, advice he ignored.

Margaret felt that James wasn’t a bad manager.

Sir Alan believes it would be unfair for Ben to be held responsible for the task’s failure.

Due to his lack of contribution, Maj has been fired. James has Margaret to thank.

Howard and Kate were hoping to see Ben go. They blame him for distracting everyone from thinking about proper ideas.

Hell’s Kitchen Season 5 Episode 10

After much complaining about how much she hated Andrea, Carol was finally sent home in Hell’s Kitchen 5 Episode 9.

Paula says that Andrea is the weakest chef on the red team. Danny says that Ben is the weakest on the blue team.

They are both called forward and asked to take off their jackets. They both get new jackets, as does everyone else. Was the drama really necessary? Did anyone actually believe they were being sent home?

Each contestant is given 14 ingredients and must create a dish using all of them.

Andrea’s dish is a lot better than it looks. Giovanni’s is nice with rich contrast. Paula’s is delicious. Robert’s is slightly too dry but has lovely flavor. Danny’s is very nice. Ben talks and talks and talks as usual, but when that’s finally over, his dish is delicious. He’s the only one that used the drum. It’s between Ben’s stuffed chicken and Danny’s rosemary chicken bruschetta. Ben wins the challenge. He will be heading to San Francisco with Chef Ramsay, and he invites Robert with him.

For those who stay behind, they have to deal with delivery day. When they hear the delivery trucks, they have to stop what they’re doing and unload the trucks.

Danny’s not happy with Ben’s choice, and Robert feels guilty because he thinks Danny should have gone. Ramsay thought he was going to pick Danny as well.

With the first truck, Giovanni’s breaking plates and other assorted boxes. By the time another truck arrives, Giovanni hates the punishment, and instead of running to the trucks, he’s hiding and chowing down on some snacks. When the fourth delivery truck arrives, Danny signs the invoice without confirming that they’ve got everything. They don’t. After Giovanni runs out to stop the guy, they realize… oh wait, they’re not really short lobsters. That creates more anger from Gio.

For their first service as the black team, Ramsay wants to see them working as a team.

Robert’s first scallops are rubber.

Andrea’s using the extra time to get ahead. Too ahead.

Paula’s caesar salad is very nice.

Giovanni’s chicken drums, part of Ben’s winning dish, are bloody.

Andrea has no idea what she’s doing. Luckily for her, nobody else knows either.

An hour and a half into dinner service, only half the appetizers and not a single entree have left the kitchen. Andrea, however, has left the kitchen. She’s being given a choice to either come back or leave the show. When she returns, she’s finally awake, sorta.

Robert puts bacon in a dory. There’s not supposed to be bacon in there.

Giovanni’s chicken has been returned again. Ramsay flips out on him, and he gives it right back. So then Ramsay loses it. It’s not personal. Sounds like it to me.

Ben will cook his own chicken special, while Giovanni handles the rest of the meat.

Two hours in, only 5 tables have received their entrees.

Andrea is growing increasingly frustrated due to the lack of communication from Giovanni. Robert’s also frustrated with Giovanni because he can’t get his part of the dish ready if Giovanni keeps delaying his. Eventually, Robert ends up getting burned by a hot pan. Giovanni put a hot pan in the fridge without telling anybody, resulting in second degree burns.

Ultimately, they’re pretty much just all hoping they don’t burn the kitchen down.

Paula’s the only one who gets a compliment, although Danny is the other one who’s not insulted. She will choose two idiots to nominate.

Giovanni is nominated largely based on that night’s performance. Andrea is also nominated due to her communication.

Giovanni, who has not appeared to struggle until tonight (on the contrary, he’s done fairly well), has been sent home, while Andrea lives another day. On the back of that performance, though, Chef Ramsay is pretending to shut down Hell’s Kitchen.

Survivor: Tocantins Episode 8

Sydney’s flirting came to the end of the road in Survivor: Tocantins Episode 7 after Taj, JT, and Stephen formed an alliance.

Coach is meditating because he’s been keeping everything bottled up in an attempt to be less annoying than he normally would be. Even Erinn likes the nice Coach.

Joe’s leg is getting worse. An infection in this environment has the potential to be instantly game ending.

The tribes are told they’re going to be getting a feast, and it’s the merge feast. They will all live at the old Timbira camp. While they’re all eating and trying to come up with a tribe name, Sierra wants to discuss the last two eliminations.

JT and Coach are already getting along. 15 minutes into fishing, Coach says he wants to talk about the game. JT says that Brendan thinks he’s in control of the game according to Taj, and Brendan’s got an idol as well. He doesn’t know if Taj has an idol, though. JT wants to target Brendan, which is potentially a problem that Taj and Stephen need to step in and prevent.

Afterward, Coach goes to Tyson and proposes an alliance between them, Stephen, JT, and Debbie.

It’s becoming pretty apparent that, despite the fact that Timbira has the majority, they’re not particularly married to that majority.

JT’s surprised to find out that he’s getting along with Tyson. Now that Tyson has worked on JT, he invites Debbie to go look for some fire wood.

Taj is concerned whether Brendan is actually still with her or not. He believes their alliance needs to lay low for the time being, and then his Exile alliance can take charge after Joe and JT are gone. If needbe.

Joe believes he’s got an idol. Erinn has no clue where it is. It’s not there, so they know somebody found it. With that said, she plans to vote out Brendan and Sierra because one of them must have it.

The new tribe name is Forza because they think it means strength (close enough).

The first individual immunity challenge is an endurance challenge. Last person hanging on a pole will win immunity. Joe and Stephen are struggling early. Stephen is the first one out. Joe follows him. Then Jeff notices the thing on his leg. Brendan is next, followed closely by Taj and Erinn. 4 of the remaining 5 haven’t budged yet. Only JT is struggling so far. JT drops at 20 minutes. That eliminates old Jalapao. Coach is the next one out. From the looks of it, he threw it. Sierra struggles for the first time and slips all the way down. It’s Debra against Tyson. They reach half an hour. Debra slips, and Tyson wins immunity.

Joe will be staying behind so that medical can take a look. I’m not real clear why nobody looked at him sooner. Because the infection is so close to the bone, it could enter the bone. It could also enter the blood and risk death. His injury won’t heal itself overnight.

Tyson is pretending to Brendan and Sierra that they’re all still together.

Stephen will go with JT to join Coach, Debbie, and Tyson if he promises him he’ll turn on them. Yeah, but that leaves you down 2-3.

With that done, Stephen asks Taj to take out Brendan. She doesn’t trust him any more because he hasn’t really talked to them in two days.

JT’s realized that, if they vote for him and he and his group votes for Brendan, if he uses the idol, it will backfire on JT, sending him home instead. They decide to split the votes so that Sierra would be the one the idol takes out.

After all the scheming that’s gone down today, it’s pretty obvious it’s all moot. Jeff arrives to tell them that Joe is out of the game. Nobody will be voted out.

Dollhouse Episode 13 Won’t Air

Felicia Day, who played Vi (one of the young slayers toward the end of the series) on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, tweeted that Fox is not going to air the episode of Dollhouse that she starred in, episode 13 Epitaph One. The episode was apparently created merely so that the DVD could have 13 episodes.

Nonetheless, everyone is insisting that the refusal to air this episode is unrelated to whether the show will or will not be cancelled. If Fox does keep it around for another season, perhaps they could try airing it on a night that makes sense. It’s not as if they’ll have anything else to air in the fall.
