Big Brother Season 20 Winner

Kaycee won the power of veto in Big Brother Season 20 Episode 38 and eliminated Angela, saving Tyler to honor her final two deal with him. The same deal everybody in the house had.

The first part of the final HOH competition has them hanging on to amusement park rides. JC is the first one to fall at 54 minutes. Tyler promised to throw it to Kaycee. Should he? Does it matter? Kaycee falls two minutes later. Tyler wins part one of the three part HOH competition. I don’t know if that was worth risking alienating her. I wouldn’t expect JC to be able to beat him in the next competition, regardless of what it is.

The second part of the competition requires them to climb the wall and answer the questions about the season that match four houseguests. Kaycee botches the second question of the three, while JC is left guessing on the third.

Kaycee – 18:55
JC – 19:34

Kaycee’s poor performance is not enough to stop her from winning.

Dr. Will nearly 20 years later joins the jury. They know who’s played the best. No chance Tyler joins them. They are happy to see Angela.

It’s here that they find out about Level Six as Angela spills the beans, which she seems to have planned with Tyler.

Kaycee gets credit for winning competitions, mostly vetoes that she didn’t need to use. When asked what else she did, the answer is nothing.

Faysal admits that JC played them. Who didn’t? They had such an awful alliance that they could play themselves. Still, though he largely served as a necessary vote to keep Level Six afloat, JC was always scheming and in everybody’s ears on both sides.

Multiple people admit having a bad taste in their mouths because of Tyler. He promised to be with them until the end, almost every one of them, right up until he wasn’t.

The 50/50 guess final part of the final HOH competition requires them to listen to the jury members rambling and answer whether they are making all factual statements. At least in this case, they actually have to know something about what happened during the season, instead of just guessing about the jury’s feelings. Both are correct on the first six questions. Both get the seventh and eighth questions incorrect. That brings us to a tie breaker. How long was the jetpack competition in seconds? We know it was just shy of an hour or 3600 seconds. 3413 is the answer. Kaycee wins HOH with an answer of 3400.

JC has no enemies, but he has a much tougher sell to convince people he played a strong game.

JC

I don’t know if that that was the smart move, though it was the loyal one. Her only hope is that people are bitter that Tyler outwitted them, which they are, but how bitter and can they get over it?

Tyler talks about the things people already know, all his final two deals and Level Six. He also surprises everybody by revealing his power app. Kaycee says her strength is her social game. Very generic. She can’t point to big moves because there weren’t any.

Swaggy C proposes to Bayleigh. Really? You were eliminated in week 2.

By a vote of 5-4, Kaycee is the Big Brother Season 20 winner. Not necessarily a bad winner. Loyal, won a lot of competitions, formed strong alliances and let them do the dirty work. Nowhere near as good as Tyler, who played everybody from the beginning and by the midway point had alliances with literally everybody. The opposing side blames him for beating them, and Sam puts a cherry on top after Tyler perhaps made one final two too many. She told us she would get revenge, and there it is.

Haleigh, Brett, and Tyler are the top three vote getters for America’s favorite houseguest. Tyler wins.

Big Brother will be back again next summer for season 21, and Celebrity Big Brother will return for season 2 in the winter.

Big Brother Season 20 Episode 38

Given a choice between JC and Sam, Level Six chose to get rid of Sam in Big Brother Season 20 Episode 37 because she has not been very compatible with the other females in the house. Then JC won HOH.

They won’t admit it, but this is actually good news. For whoever survives. They have all generally played well, but they don’t really want to go up against each other in the final two. That is not smart gameplay.

Nominations
Angela
Tyler

JC wants to split up the couple, and he wants revenge. He tells Tyler he’s just being a bitch to him.

We take a first visit to the jury house. Kaycee seems to have more fans than the other two. She hasn’t done much other than win veto competitions, but that’s the point. Tyler and Angela are the bad guys who are getting rid of everybody. Then Angela talks down to them as they leave. As more people enter the house, they realize that Tyler had a final two with a lot of people. He played them. Extremely well.

The final veto competition will require them to remember the competitions and like or dislike the competitions that correspond to the clues by dropping balls into slots using pulleys. JC gets the first strike and the second strike, predictably losing any chance to gain additional power this week, leaving the final decision up to whoever wins this. Tyler gets the next two strikes. Angela gets the next two strikes. Kaycee wins the power of veto.

I don’t think she has much choice. Angela has played a solid game, but she has bad jury management. Tyler may likewise potentially have a bunch of enemies, but that’s because he was close to everybody, until he cut them.

Kaycee: Angela

I don’t get it. But Kaycee explains to Angela. She is honoring the final two deal she and everybody else has with Tyler.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another recap of Big Brother 20 Episode 40, where we will find out who the Big Brother Season 20 winner is, which airs Wednesday at 8/7c on CBS.

Big Brother Season 20 Episode 37

Angela won HOH in Big Brother Season 20 Episode 36 and maintained the alliance, nominating the only non-threatening people remaining, JC and Sam.

Julie surprises them a day early. It’s a fast forward episode.

JC has nobody left to talk to, except for a stuffed owl. But he guesses he’ll settle for talking to Tyler as well because he doesn’t have much choice.

The veto competition requires them to make their way through a maze in the correct order, passing from each station to the next in under 30 seconds.

Kaycee – 5:46
Sam – 30:00 (max)
Tyler – 6:29
Angela – 10:50
JC – 11:09

Kaycee wins the power of veto. She tells us she needs to make the right decision for her game, as if there is any decision to be made.

Veto Ceremony
Veto is not used.

We already know the result, no matter how much Tyler talks about getting mad about JC continuing to discuss getting rid of Angela and Kaycee.

Votes
Kaycee: Sam
Tyler: Sam

By a vote of 2-0, Sam has been evicted from the Big Brother house. She got a bit of power in week 4, but that was the last time she did anything other than prop up Level Six with her vote.

The HOH competition is to answer true/false questions about what the other houseguests said during random moments throughout the season. This is anybody’s game of random guessing. JC and Tyler get the first question correct. JC gets the second question correct. Everybody gets the third question incorrect. Everybody gets the fourth and fifth questions correct. JC and Tyler get the sixth question correct. Kaycee gets the seventh question correct. JC wins HOH.

Well, that backfired. Of course, Sam could just have easily won this, but JC finally wins something after a season long drought, which will take out one of the remaining half of Level Six no matter how loyal they may have wanted to be.

Big Brother Season 20 Episode 36

A double eviction started with an easy move in Big Brother Season 20 Episode 35 with the elimination of Haleigh. Then Brett’s alliance turned on him.

Level Six, other than Brett, had planned this, but they left JC and Sam in the dark. What are JC or Sam going to do about it, though? Sam believes Tyler that Brett was coming after her, but JC is unconvinced. He realizes that he made a mistake trusting Tyler. Too late.

The HOH competition requires them to listen to clues about BB movie posters and answer which movie is being discussed. Angela buzzes in with the right answer first on the first question. Also the second question. JC gets the third question correct. Sam gets the fourth and fifth questions correct. Angela gets the sixth question correct to retake the lead. JC buzzes in ahead of Sam, preventing her from tying on the final question. Angela wins HOH.

JC’s a lot sneakier, but Sam has been having run ins with other women all summer. With the girls in power, that makes Sam an easy target.

Tyler and Angela declare their love for each other. It is probably not smart for them to bring each other to the end, but it’s seeming more inevitable.

Nominations
Sam
JC

Big Brother Season 20 Episode 35

Kaycee won the power of veto in Big Brother Season 20 Episode 34, keeping her nominees on the block, Haleigh and Sam.

Haleigh’s obviously gone. It’s not even a fake editing discussion. What does need to be discussed is what happens next. Of course, JC and Sam, but what happens if one of them wins a competition for once or after they are gone? Angela volunteers to be a pawn.

Meanwhile, Brett has a final two with Tyler. Who doesn’t? He wants to get rid of the girls. Tyler shares this information with Kaycee. He’s afraid that Brett is a smooth talker, which he is, but he also tends to stick his foot in his mouth by being a jerk, albeit a likable one.

Votes
Tyler: Haleigh
JC: Haleigh
Brett: Haleigh
Angela: Haleigh

By a vote of 4-0, Haleigh has been evicted from the Big Brother house. She was a lot more likable than most of her alliance, such as the woman who was literally spewing blood, but she picked the wrong side and continues the trend of them being kicked out. The goodbye messages are a coordinated attack against Brett. She believes it. Sure, it was Brett. It wasn’t the whole four person alliance that you already know about. It was one person.

They get to watch videos of highlights from the summer, obviously preparation for the next HOH competition. Sam and Tyler get the first question correct. JC gets the second question correct. Tyler and Brett get the third question correct. Everybody but Angela gets the fourth question correct. Everybody but JC gets the fifth question correct. Everybody gets the sixth question correct. Sam, Tyler, and Angela get the final question correct. Tyler wins HOH.

Why would he do that? He’s allied with everybody. Now he has to take a side. If the alternative was throwing the wolves (second place Sam), perhaps that’s worth the risk.

Nominations
JC
Sam

The veto competition requires them to roll a ball through a maze that they build. Angela wins the power of veto.

Veto Ceremony
JC is saved.
Brett is the replacement nominee.

Speaking of people picking the wrong alliance. Seems unnecessary to get him this week, but we already know the result of tonight’s vote.

Votes
JC: Brett
Kaycee: Brett
Angela: Brett

By a vote of 3-0, Brett has been evicted from the Big Brother house. The season’s almost over, but this could be the first time this season I mind who’s been eliminated.

Big Brother Season 20 Episode 34

A predictable Big Brother Season 20 Episode 33 ended with the nomination of Haleigh and Sam.

Without his big dumb puppet Faysal to push around anymore, JC now has a new bromance with Brett, though both consider the other expendable.

Kaycee selects Tyler at random to play in the power of veto competition. Haleigh selects Angela. Sam picks Brett (houseguest’s choice). She went with the guy who can win rather than the guy who would be easy to beat.

The veto competition requires them to spot superhero impostors in the city from BB Comics. Paying close attention to subtle differences will help. Dumb luck 50/50 guesses won’t hurt.

Tyler – 6:35
Brett – 7:30
Kaycee – 2:17
Sam – 15:48
Angela – 9:53
Haleigh – 18:56

Kaycee easily wins the power of veto. No chance of the nominations changing. Tyler was talking about how maybe he would have changed them because JC is getting on his nerves talking about wanting to target his allies, but that wasn’t going to happen either. Tyler brings it up anyway. Yeah, you really want to save Haleigh, the only person to ever try to come after you. Still, important seeds to plant because he wants to make sure these people are at war with each other, not him.

Veto is not used.

Big Brother Season 20 Episode 33

For the second week in a row, Scottie was unanimously voted out of the house in Big Brother Season 20 Episode 32, then Kaycee won HOH.

One of the nominations is obvious. Haleigh is the last person standing from her awful alliance. The choice for a pawn is between JC or Sam, and they want it to be Sam.

Most of the episode is filled with a Big Brother party to celebrate the engagement of Nicole and Victor from season 18, but there’s not much strategy to discuss anyway because the plan is already obvious.

Haleigh gives it an effort, but there is really no point to this conversation or the crying. She’s on the wrong side and nominated Kaycee twice during her HOH week.

Nominations
Haleigh
Sam

Big Brother Season 20 Episode 32

Kaycee won the power of veto and obviously kept the nominations the same in Big Brother Season 20 Episode 31, leaving Haleigh and Scottie on the block.

Tyler’s allied with everybody. So he doesn’t want anybody to go home, except for the two people who are on the block. JC wants to take a shot at Angela, splitting her off from both Kaycee and Tyler. Angela wants to take a shot at JC because he’s doing things like trying to prove that Tyler and Angela are a couple, which everybody already knows. Tyler would be fine if JC takes a shot at her, since he can’t do it.

Brett would also be happy to take out Angela. He’s hearing from Scottie that the jury hates her, so he’d like to give them a gift. But he also hopes JC will do the dirty work for him. They’re putting a lot of faith into a guy who hasn’t won anything and hardly ever comes close.

Votes
Brett: Scottie
Kaycee: Scottie
Sam: Scottie
Angela: Scottie
JC: Scottie

By a vote of 5-0, Scottie has been evicted from the Big Brother house, once again by a unanimous vote. Revolving door. I’m still not convinced he’s the bigger threat, but he never had much chance of sticking around. He says he knew all along because they are not very good liars. They have been doing a good job of pulling the wool over his eyes all summer.

The HOH competition requires them to maneuver pearls down seaweed ramps to three oysters on the other end. They have 3 minutes. Kaycee is running just ahead of Brett. Kaycee wins HOH, beating Brett by less than a second.
