Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 10

Michael was the target and would have gone home in Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 9, but he was saved by his hidden immunity idol. Instead, one of his allies, Libby was sent home, as even his own tribe was willing to give them up for dead and sacrifice numbers.

Spurred by Desiree, Laurel, Donathan, Jenna, and Desiree discuss the end of Naviti. They could easily just pick off the other four, but at some point soon, someone from that big alliance needs to be blindsided.

For the reward challenge, two members will paddle to rescue the others from cages, then return to the beach and solve a giant puzzle. Reward is a chopper ride to a picnic. Michael, Sebastian, Chelsea, Kellyn, and Jenna (orange) are against Wendell, Domenick, Laurel, Desiree, and Angela (purple). Donathan must sit out. Michael and Sebastian prove to be much stronger rowers than Domenick and Wendell. Orange wins reward.

And of course we are going to draw rocks for this lame Ghost Island twist. Angela is going to Ghost Island.

Angela has a 2 out of 3 chance of having an advantage. Still, she gets the one that does not have an advantage, costing her a vote at the next Tribal.

Laurel warns Domenick that Desiree can’t be trusted. He brings this warning to Kellyn. She refuses to believe it and insists that people must be trying to take the target off Michael.

Michael and Donathan go on their own separate idol hunts. Donathan finds the clue, which tells him to look under the shelter. Rather than be sneaky about it, he tells Malolo and searches and finds it with them.

For the immunity challenge, they will balance a ball on a disc attached to two ropes. Wendell, Jenna, Desiree, Laurel, and Angela drop quickly. Within the first two minutes, Donathan and Domenick follow. Michael drops just before the round ends. The three who remain survive the ten minutes to move to the second round. Kellyn drops. Sebastian drops. Chelsea wins immunity.

The easy thing to do here would be to do what they wanted to do last time: get rid of Michael. There’s a lot of activity around an alternate plan. Desire had hoped to get rid of Kellyn, who will not believe no matter what that is going to happen. Because of that, Desiree finds out that Laurel is the one who told Domenick that Kellyn is the target. The logical thing would be to still flip against someone, but Desiree, after confronting Domenick and Laurel, says that she wants to get rid of Michael now. She may think she’s been forced back to the status quo and they will play along, but her aggressive manner is not smoothing things over.

With 6 votes, Desiree has been voted off the island. She sunk herself. She was so close to gaining control, but when it blew up, she just added gasoline to the fire. Only Chelsea went along with the failed Michael vote.

Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 9

Chris managed to get himself a hidden immunity idol during his visit to Ghost Island in Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 8, but despite knowing he was one of the primary targets, refused to play it and thus was eliminated.

She may have only had a couple of people after her last time, but this is the third time in a row that Libby has gone to Tribal and received votes.

Laurel is supposed to be in the final four with Domenick and Wendell (with Donathan), yet both are keeping secrets about the advantages they have. She tells Wendell she’s 1000% with them. Apparently the extra 0 makes it better. In reality, she’s getting sketched out by the secrets and power they have.

For the reward challenge, they will hit targets with giant slingshots. Reward is a trip to the Survivor taco hut. Domenick, Kellyn, Jenna, Sebastian, Desiree, and Michael (orange) are against Angela, Laurel, Wendell, Libby, Chelsea, and Donathan (purple). Purple takes the lead 1-0. Then it’s tied. Purple retakes the lead. After a lot of misses from both sides, it’s tied again. Both teams adopt the strategy of letting the useless people shoot once before before replacing them. Purple (Wendell) makes it 3-2, and Laurel extends the lead to 4-2. Orange makes it 4-3 before Wendell scores again. Domenick/Michael make it 5-4. Purple wins reward.

And now we return to this rock drawing nonsense. Jenna is going to Ghost Island. She will not be playing a game today, though.

Libby asks her reward partners what she’s doing wrong, and the response is that it’s probably her relationship with Michael.

Back at camp, Angela wants to start a war. No need to pick sides. Just pit everybody against everybody else other than her.

The immunity challenge is a gross eating challenge. Michael, Desiree, and Laurel advance on the fish eyes. In the next heat of six, Wendell refuses to even try, while Angela, Sebastian, and Domenick advance. Michael, Sebastian, and Angela advance on the live grubs. Michael and Angela finish the sea slugs to move to the finals. Angela finishes the mother of pearl first to win immunity.

Michael’s name came up in the drama Angela was causing, which leads to people to tell Laurel that there’s already a consensus that she should agree to support.

Michael wants to be Malolo strong and hope Naviti splits the votes. His target is Wendell. Donathan’s nervous about Naviti being too strong but also worried that he’ll be on the wrong side of the numbers if he goes against them.

Michael plays his idol.

With 3 votes, Libby has been voted off the island. Michael played that right, but rather than picking off a number from the other side, his tribemates still ensured that one of their own went home. Michael was of course the only vote for Wendell, while Donathan flipped on Michael, but Desiree finally got her wish of getting rid of Libby.

Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 8

People got sick of Bradley and joined together to get rid of him in Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 7.

We start immediately with a merge. Hence, the Domenick vs. Chris show resumes, but with a small numbers advantage, they may be stuck working together. Chris isn’t buying it because they just want him for one vote and then they’ll get rid of him.

By random draw, Chris gets a clue in his buff telling him to go to treemail, where there is a clue for the hidden immunity idol. In order to get the idol, he will need to sneak out of camp by boat in the middle of the night and go to Ghost Island. Risky to leave camp for hours, but he doesn’t even have to try to find the idol once he arrives. The idol is good only at the next Tribal Council, unless he is willing to wager his vote to try for more uses. He decides to take the risk and has multiple 50/50 chances but only extends the idol for one more Tribal Council before losing his vote.

For the first individual immunity challenge, they will stand on a narrow beam while balancing a statue on a long pole over their heads. Jenna is the first one to drop, and Donathan is right behind her. As the wind comes in, Desiree drops, followed by Angela. After 5 minutes, they move to a more narrow section of the beam. Sebastian drops. The rest move to the end of the beam. Domenick, Michael, Chris, Laurel, and Wendell cannot make the transition. Chelsea drops. Libby drops. Kellyn wins immunity.

Chris goes to the well and brings everybody other than Domenick and Wendell with him. He wants to split the vote between the two of them. He knows Domenick has an idol because he saw it. Actually, he saw the fake one, but there is a real one also, as well as a legacy advantage. Wendell also has an idol. So does Chris. These things are falling out of the sky.

Desire has a completely different plan. Get rid of Libby. That would be awesome. We could have another episode of Domenick and Chris whining about each other the whole time.

It takes about three seconds for Donathan to warn Domenick, though the plan is hardly a surprising one.

There is one unlit torch, which means that this is the first time Chris has ever been to Tribal Council.

With all these idols floating around and in the hands of the people who know they are targets, surely something will be played. Since his legacy advantage can be played at 13 or 6 and there are 13 left, Domenick plays it.

Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 7

Another tribe swap and yet another Malolo loss in Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 6 led to them once again voting out one of their strongest members, James.

When they get back to camp, Mike immediately goes idol hunting, and he does not care if he gets caught. Needless to say, he finds it because it’s not like they are hard to find.

For the reward challenge, they will pull a rope holding a disc and stack blocks to spell a word. Reward is steak and chicken. Domenick and Laurel sit out. Naviti’s to the top of the word reward, but they drop. The others do as well. As the other two tribes battle for the win as usual, Malolo are arguing. Naviti wins reward. With Yanuya closing in on second, Malolo drops again. Yanuya wins the smaller food reward. Malolo continues to suck. Despite the victory, Donathan is angry with Bradley.

Finally, they can agree on who goes to Ghost Island, rather than drawing rocks like the rest of the time that this twist has been ruined. They want someone who has already been to go back, so their choice is Kellyn.

With a 2 out of 3 chance of success, this time Kellyn decides to play. She wins an extra vote.

Donathan’s not alone. When they return, Bradley keeps barking orders, this time at everybody else. He admits that he is obnoxious and has no patience in real life, so this is not a bad edit, just his real personality coming to the surface.

Wendell also goes searching for an idol. He finds a clue, as if one is needed. Then he finds the idol.

Desiree comes up with a plan of reversing the curse of being on one of the worst tribes ever. Burn their flag.

For the immunity challenge, they will swim to a floating platform, jump off, retrieve rings, and land the rings on targets. Jenna and Chelsea sit out. Sebastian jumps out to a big lead for Yanuya. Chris continues that. Kellyn is lackluster, but Michael manages to make up much of the gap as the last competent competitor left on Malolo. Yanuya has one ring landed before the others are able to start. Naviti makes it 1-1. Then Yanuya goes on a run to take the lead with 5. Yanuya wins immunity. Donathan’s performing reasonably well, but he has nothing on Michael. Malolo wins immunity. It’s a good thing they accidentally managed to keep one person who is useful in challenges.

They need to make a decision between sticking with original Naviti or getting rid of the unlikeable Bradley.

At Tribal Council, Bradley talks about how he likes to argue. Four other people bite their tongues.
