CSI: NY Season 4, Episode 7 – “Commuted Sentences”

Last week, the CSI: NY team faced Halloween with 2 weird cases involving a true-to-life zombie and a mass murder reportedly caused by a haunted house that leads the father to kill his family and commit suicide. This week, the team has two cases in two tourist spots – Madison Square Park where a man is stabbed brutally to death and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where a woman is shot dead on the steps. Both crimes clearly want to send a message. The CSI NY team is about to uncover this message.

The episodes starts with a lady covered in blood running to her apartment crying and desperately wiping out the blood. Flack and the police arrests her in the bathroom naked and still in shock. Outside her apartment, near the Madison Square Park, Mac and Stella examines the crime scene where a man is stabbed with 4 knives. Flack discloses that the vic is Mitchell Bentley III, who recently got acquitted from rape and attempted murder in central park. The victim on that case was none other than Fern Lazlow, the girl who was just arrested in her apartment. Clearly, Flack and Stella determines this case as a revenge killing. As Mac and Stella examines the crime scene, they discover a bandage, a piece of red fabric and finger prints on the vic’s neck. However, the crime scene suggests no sign of running nor defensive signs on the victim’s body.

At the other side of town, Danny, Hawkes and Lindsay examines the body of the woman who was shot dead by the steps of Metropolitan Museum. The victim, Joana Morgan, was a successful advertiser. The crime scene indicates it was not a case of robbery, but they team became confused when they found no signs of struggle, no bullets, but the gun was left for them to find.

Back at the lab, Lindsay and Danny investigates Joana Morgan’s clothes, bag and gun. As it turns out, the fingerprints on the gun were only from Morgan, suggesting that the suspect may have maneuvered her arm as she was trying to shoot the suspect. On the other hand, Dr. Hammerback checks out Bentley’s body and discovers that all four knives were penetrated deeply into the body. In fact, the suspect had an intimate knowledge of the human body that Mac even compares the killing to Spanish bull fighting, where the suspect tortures Bentley, slowly killing him. Flack interrogates Fern Lazlow, but she denies killing Bentley even if she has all the right reasons to kill him.

Hammerback examines Joanna Morgan’s body and gives Hawkes the digestive fluid from her body. Adam determines that the fibers from Bentley’s body is from black tissue paper only found in Casa del Matador Grill. Stella and Flack visits the restaurant to find hair stuck at the bottom of the chair where Fern Lazlow and Bentley supposedly sat. Adam discovers that the hair was diamond-mink eyelashes that costs $10,000 a pair, leading to a woman named Amber Stanton.

Lindsay and Danny goes back to the crime scene to find the missing bullet. Lindsay uses a first-aid kit to make a slingshot and experiment on the angle of the gun shot and discover where the bullet landed. Lindsay’s experiment works and Danny finds the missing bullet. At the lab, the bullet determines two blood samples – one from Joana Morgan and the other from an unknown male. The blood from the unknown male suggests the suspect has a gunshot on his/her shoulders.

Flack and Mac visits Amber Stanton. She admits having dinner with Bentley since she’s a Publisher, they discussed about his recent trial and how she could save his career and reputation. She also admitted that she lost her eyelashes. Mac tells Flack to keep an eye on Amber, but she ends up keeping an eye on Flack’s police car. She enters the car and gave Flack (and Det. Angell) her schedule for the day. Pissed off about Stanton’s arrogance, Flack searches for hair and uses this strand to get Amber’s DNA.

Detective Angell discloses to Stella that the bandage they gathered as evidence had markings underneath. It was a map only seen on Ian Burton shoes. They were looking at a shoe print. As it turns out, the shoe print found was from Joanna Morgan’s shoes, linking her case to Mitchell Bentley’s crime scene. The team examines the evidences and studies the relationship between Fern Lanzlow, Joana Morgan and Amber Stanton. As it turns out, they were all victims of criminals that were acquitted.

As Hawkes examines the stomach contents of Joana Morgan’s body, he finds a unique bacteria that caused food poisoning. This specific bacteria changes the DNA of a person infected. Because of this, the CSIs were given a warrant to search Amber Stanton’s apartment, where they found an empty Ian Burton shoe box.

From the food poisoning discovery, Detective Angell searched for reports on local restaurants to have food poisoning. A Steve Kaplan reported “Clergio’s Grill” in Midtown to have served poisoned food and asked for pain killers at the hospital. As it turns out, Kaplan has also been acquitted from a 2000 murder and was caught to have shoulder trouble due to a gun shot. He then admitted that he met Joana Morgan online, they met for dinner and out of no where, Morgan tried to kill him. Kaplan says he shot her as self-defense.

Mac interrogates Amber Stanton. Mac figures out that since Joana Morgan’s prints were all over the Ian Burton shoe box, it was given to Amber as a gift. The two ladies met through commuting, the daily ride to work, where they developed a 40-minute friendship and became close – close enough to tell deep secrets such as Morgan’s rape case. Amber admits her friendship with Morgan and considers herself as an “arbiter of justice”. As Amber Stanton is taken away for the murder of Mitchell Bentley, Fern Lanzlow goes free.

Bionic Woman Episode 6

In Bionic Woman episode 5, Jaime pretended to be a college student, where she met up with and fell for a CIA agent pretending to be a TA.

Jaime advises Becca how to handle a guy based on a list of rules she read in a book.

Burkett and the CIA are going to work together on a mission because they have to recover a list of operatives from both organizations. The last buyer was killed, so Jaime, who’s assigned to the case, suggests she work with Tom. Jonas calls Tom and asks, though, since Jaime doesn’t call guys (it’s one of the rules). The objective is to look for Victor, who’s changed his appearance multiple times but still has the same eyes.

They go to France and pretend to be a married couple, but they refuse to touch each other. He finally tells her that the reason he hasn’t called is that he’s afraid that a relationship would compromise the mission. At a party, they’re unable to get any clear leads, but the guy who refuses to look Jaime in the eyes is suspicious. Through the lie they accidentally told about Tom being an art historian, they manage to get invited downstairs, or at least that’s how it appears. On their way down, they do get an eye match, so it’s discovered he is indeed Victor. But the real reason he brought them down there was to lock them up.

Jaime breaks them out of the wine cellar, but Tom lets her know he loosened the door she kicked down. Then she beats up the security guy, but not before she and Tom kiss.

Becca has a party when Jaime’s away. She leaves her own party, but as she’s driving away, she gets pulled over for being drunk.

As they head into where the buy is going down, Tom tries to protect her and insists he go alone. Obviously, Jaime doesn’t stand for this. They both go in and start fighting. She jumps out a window, pushing someone who she believes is Victor with her. Except it’s not actually Victor, just someone who looks like him.

They grab him and put him in a van, but they have to leave Tom behind as they take off. Jaime calls, talks to Tom, and tells Victor she wants her husband back, along with the list. All for just $8 million. The women she’s with are concerned when Jaime mentions this figure, but she calls Jonas and asks for it. He nonchalantly says “Okay.”

After getting busted, Becca also calls Jonas for help. He tells her Jaime’s selling time shares. Becca expresses concerns that she can’t talk with Jaime about anything, which she thinks is weird.

When she arrives at dinner, Tom warns they’re dead if she puts the money on the table or if she didn’t bring any money. Then he reveals that he’s got a bomb strapped to him. With a bit of help, she picks the right wire and deactivates the bomb. Now they just need to catch Victor, who fled when she hit him with the money. He’s waiting with a gun for them, and to save Tom, she has to run ahead inexplicably fast and take Victor out.

Jaime won’t wait 8 days for Tom to call again. Two strikes and he’s out. Rule 27.

House Season 4, Episode 6 – Whatever it takes

Last week’s episode was all about power struggle, especially when House and his team faces a patient with mirror syndrome, Foreman goes back as part of House’s team and Dr. Cuddy tries hard to be the “alpha” over House. This week, House and his team tries to diagnose a 9-time national speed racer champion, Casey Alfonso who just happen to faint after winning a race.

At House’s lecture room, Foreman and the rest of the remaining candidates are discussing potential patients (as soon as House decided to go with the racer) when a man with a “men-in-black look” rushes into the room with House’s picture with him. The man is from the CIA and they need House’s expertise in finding out what’s wrong with a mystery patient.House left Foreman in charge while he lets the CIA guy kidnap him to wherever they are going.

Back at the hospital, Foreman, Cole and Brennan examines Casey and figures out how delirium, fever and seizure all add up to one disease. Unfortunately, the remaining candidates insisted on getting tests before a diagnosis, in hopes of winning Foreman’s vote and House’s “rose”. Most of the candidates are questioning Foreman’s judgments.

Upon arriving at the CIA facility, the CIA guy introduces House to a Dr. Samira Teriz and Dr. Curtis, who will also be diagnosing the mysterious patient. The patient by the code name “John” spent 10 years in Bolivia. Aside from that information, no other medical info or personal history is disclosed. Both House and Curtis need to get an appropriate diagnosis before John dies.

Amber and Taub thinks that the racer may have lupus and consults on Cameron about the case. Behind Foreman’s back, the two gave the patient medication for lupus, which resulted in the patient’s leg becoming numb and unable to move.

Upon seeing John, House and Dr. Kill-joy (as House calls Dr. Curtis) discusses the case why the patient is vomiting, loses weight dramatically and has severe skin irritations all throughout his body. While Curtis says it’s poisoning, House suggests its cancer of the blood.

Brennan tells Foreman that the racer has polio and sticks to his diagnosis, even debating with Foreman making him pissed off and cutting him out of the case. Foreman finds out that Cameron has been letting the candidates ask her questions about their case and as a result, Foreman messes with Cameron’s patients just to get back at her.

Dr. Teriz makes a bet with House to cure “John”. House asks her to be part of his team, but Teriz declines politely. Since Curtis’ diagnosis did not work, Teriz asked House for an oncologist’s advice about John’s blood cancer. House calls Wilson, but Wilson doesn’t believe one word of House’s adventurous CIA case. Only when House told Wilson to call the CIA and gave him the extension number for the clinic did Wilson believe him and gave chemo drugs.

Brennan tested Casey (again) behind Foreman’s back and the results came back positive for polio. Brennan suggested to give the patient experimental treatment (high doses of vitamin C) in hopes of making her well and letting her walk again.

As it turns out, House was also wrong about blood cancer and diagnosed him with “radiation sickness”. They gave John herbal Chinese tea for to relieve his symptoms. When House was talking to John, he found out that the patient did not stay on Bolivia. Instead, he  stayed in Brazil and chewed on Brazilian nuts for 40 days. House discovers that John has been nut poisoned from the Brazilian nuts he took.

Cuddy asks Wilson about House’s whereabouts. Wilson simply stated that House is consulting for the CIA, but Cuddy did not believe it. On the other hand, Cameron says sorry to Foreman, admitting that she misses doing everything she can just to do the job right.

After two days gone, House goes back to the hospital and reunites with his team. Brennan and the other candidates proudly reports that they treated the racer with high doses of vitamin C and successfully treated her lupus.  As it turns out, Brennan poisoned the patient on purpose for her to get lupus and treat her with the vitamin C in hopes of further research will be made when news about vitamin C curing lupus has been successful.

House did not fire anyone. Instead, he told Brennan to quit while the police are still nowhere in sight. When House asked the remaining candidates about who he left in charge and when the team answered “Foreman”, House simply says “next time, listen to him”.

Just as House exits the hospital, Dr. Teriz is waiting for him to take up on his offer – the job with House’s team.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another recap of House Season 4 episode 7, which airs Tuesday at 9/8c on Fox.

Reaper Episode 7

In Reaper episode 6, Andi and Sam made up and decided to just be friends.

Sam’s friends want to hook him up with a girl, since he’s supposedly trying to be just friends with Andi. Somehow, Sock’s dancing attracts a bunch of girls. Eventually, one of them, Taylor, sits down and kisses Sam. But because none of the guys will strip, they’re on their own again.

The vessel is an 8-track tape that’s the soundtrack to Love, Bullets, and Blacktop. Sam runs into Andi, who tells him to come over and play it in her dad’s old cassette player. While they’re talking, Taylor calls, but he doesn’t want to discuss it with Andi.

The Devil transports Sam to the scene of a car crash. A completely flattened car has no victims in it, since they just walked away. He doesn’t get into many details, except where Taylor’s erogenous zones are.

On the news, they see another wreck and decide it’s related. They get a tip from a new guy at work who they hate, Russell, where to find someone selling a car. Sam decides to play the 8-track to get attention, and it makes two people dance. Once the music stops, they’re able to get away, though. After falling off the roof of the building, they get up and drive away. I’ll go out on a limb and say those are the two souls they’re after.

Taylor stops by work looking for Sam and just so happens to bump into Andi there. Andi tells Sam she stopped by and that he should call her.

Ben and Sock decide to pretend to put Russell’s car up for sale to attract the souls.

The Devil says love just comes down to endorphins and genitalia and again tries to talk him into getting with Taylor, who’s a guest at the wedding the Devil takes him to. He reluctantly asks her out.

The bait works, and the souls come to get the car. Only the guy gets out of the car. He drives a tough bargain. He wants to actually get inside the car. That may be tough without keys. He figures out something’s wrong, but they manage to catch him. He says “See you at midnight.” His girl drives away before they can capture her.

They get Love, Bullets, and Blacktop, but it’s on beta. So it’s off to Russell’s house, which looks like the 70s threw up. He puts the movie in but wants to get high first. Before he can carry his plan through, however, Hollie, the female soul, crashes through the house in her car and grabs an 8-track tape.

Andi reveals a hideaway at work, complete with TV and refreshments, and she and Sam watch the movie there. He finds out Midnight’s actually the name of an auto body shop. When they get there, Hollie’s there waiting for them and looking for a fight. She’s upset that she can’t figure out how to get a soul out of a random tape that isn’t actually a vessel, so she threatens that she’ll torch the place and only one person will leave alive (Sock asks which one). Just as she’s ready to torture Sam, Sock starts singing the song from the movie, distracting her long enough for Sam to get the real tape and capture her.

Sam asks Taylor if it’s her thing to kiss random guys in bars. She tells him he doesn’t look like the kind of guy to make the first move. He starts mauling her but stops when she asks how he knew about her earlobe being the thing that can get her to do anything. Sam decides he doesn’t want to give up on true love, whether the Devil says it’s fake or not.

Heroes Season 2 Episode 7

In Heroes Season 2 Episode 6, Peter and Caitlin went to Montreal (leading up to a future that’s been destroyed), Claire and West got even with the head cheerleader for not letting Claire on the squad, and Kensei turned on Hiro after he found him kissing Yaeko.

Kensei reveals White Beard offered anything he wanted to capture Hiro, and he asked for half the country and Yaeko as his princess. She tells him she loves Hiro. Kensei says he’ll change history. Too late.

HRG calls Suresh asking about the paintings he’s found, one of which shows Suresh with a gun. Suresh warns that he’s been given a partner, who’s watching his every move. Then Noah burns the paintings.

Matt and Nathan show up at the Company to prevent Matt’s father Maury from killing Bob.

Peter’s screaming for someone, but nobody’s around since the whole city’s been evacuated. Caitlin asks him what he did. They’re jumped by men in biohazard suits who question whether they’re sick and take them away to be decontaminated.

West makes waffles and brings them to Claire, who suggests it’s rude for him to come over without being invited. He shows her the newspaper article where Debbie the drunk cheerleader claimed she saw a boy who could fly.

Bob offers to be bait to attract Maury. He then tells Suresh he’s the one who has to administer the virus to Maury, and it’s Parkman’s job to deal with his father, seeing as they have the same abilities, even if Matt’s are untapped.

Yaeko’s father blames himself for what’s happening, since he forged the guns. Hiro’s high, so he doesn’t look like he’ll be much help, but he does manage to use his powers to get them out of there.

Peter’s told he’s a dead man and brought his death certificate. Then they tell him Caitlin’s been deported because she’s a foreigner. The Shanti virus, which Suresh is dead set against giving to people, has killed 93% of the population, and the rest are quarantined.

Parkman goes to see Molly to apologize, and he notices a spike in brain activity when telling her he loves her.

Niki says she’s been cured and is now able to have a life, but she questions that when she sees her husband telling her it’s not true, thanks to Maury.

Nathan asks who Adam is, and Bob says he’s “complicated,” revealing that Adam’s the actual killer and Maury’s just the weapon. They locked him up and threw away the key, but he escaped two weeks ago. Nathan asks why he should care, and the response is because Peter’s still alive.

Peter’s greeted by his mom, who he doesn’t know. She tells him about his abilities and how he has a brother, or at least had one until the first outbreak. As they’re talking, he starts flashing back to his past and remembers everything.

Claire starts to break the truth to West, but she changes her mind. So of course the next thing we know her father walks in the door. West starts running because it’s the man who abducted him, and when Claire tells him it’s her father, he flies away because he thinks it’s a trap.

Hiro plans to destroy the guns, since that would make White Beard powerless. As for Kensei, Hiro thinks he’s still good inside. He’s greeted by Kensei as he’s working on destroying the guns. Despite being attacked by Kensei, Hiro still refuses to kill him. While they’re fighting, they accidentally set the place on fire. Hiro asks Kensei to go with him, but he doesn’t want to, so Hiro bails but must leave Kensei in the explosion.

Niki starts talking to herself again, as a result of another forced vision from Maury. DL tries to convince her the Company is evil, then Bob comes in and shoots him. Suresh tries to help her, but she just slams him across the room.

Bob informs Nathan they lost track of Peter. Then Niki starts bashing through walls and interrupts them, and she follows that up by injecting herself.

Parkman figures out how to use his abilities and traps his father, and in the process, he realizes he’s no longer scared of him. Doing this frees Molly from her nightmare.

Peter meets up with Caitlin and accidentally warps himself again when she asks him not to let them take her.

After the explosion has passed, Hiro picks up Kensei’s mask, knowing he killed him. Then he goes to Yaeko, who tells him he’s the real hero who did everything, but he tells her that they won’t end up together, as the story actually ended with Kensei cutting out his own heart to save her and his country. Now it’s time for Hiro to leave, but she promises to tell the tales of Kensei so he will have them in his childhood. He returns home to see Ando, who tells him it’s been months and there’s been no bomb, but that his father is dead.

While working on curing Niki, Suresh figures out that she’s got another strain of the virus, for which his blood is no longer a cure. Bob promises to keep Maury sedated and destroy the virus, then he shows him Claire’s file (her regenerative abilities are the key), to which he adds that her father is getting sloppy, emotional, and dangerous. So of course the response to this is that he’s been working with Noah to take down the Company.

Claire’s mom tells her father about West. He does a bit of snooping and finds the newspaper article about how she fell 50 feet to her death. When confronted about this, she tells him nobody actually believes he was at a copy conference. To end the discussion, he says it’s not safe there any more and that they’re leaving. Well, at least he thinks they are because she doesn’t plan to go with him.

Peter tries to figure out who Adam is, since he doesn’t know any Adam. In walks Kensei. Or should I say Adam?
