Amazing Race 11 All-Stars Winners Revealed

What can I say, I’ve never been a huge fan of the Amazing Race. I’ll admit that I really enjoyed watching season 10, mainly because of David and Mary and the Cho brothers, but Amazing Race All-Stars is nearly unwatchable for me. I have never been a fan of Rob and Amber, I quite frankly cannot stand either of them and they’re the main reason for my not having watched much of the All-Stars season, though I now have even less reason to watch as the Amazing Race All Stars winners have already been revealed!

Not only have the winners of the show been leaked, the winners of each leg of the race have been revealed! Though there is no confirmation whether or not the list is actually valid, it has already accurately predicted the first three teams to be eliminated and, in about 30-mins time, will no doubt be right again as Rob & Amber are slated to get the boot on tonight’s show!

Don’t feel like waiting for the end of the season to find out who wins? Find out who the winners of the Amazing Race All Stars are, after the jump!

It’s official, NBC has decided to trim the fat (pun intended) and has dropped Caroline Rhea as host of the Biggest Loser 4. NBC has dropped Biggest Loser seasons 1, 2 and 3 host Caroline Rhea is favor of a new, shinier, sportier model, complete with new host scent, Alison Sweeney.

NBC gave the usual line, saying that she is leaving to “pursue other interests”, which in the TV world translates to, “we fired her ass.” While the executive producer of the show, Ben Silverman, took a bit more of a direct and honest approach and said Alison Sweeney “will bring not only a great fresh face but (also) a huge, loyal fan base” to the show. Apparently people still watch soap opera’s and actually give a damn about the “actors”? That’s news to me.

I’m personally a fan of Caroline Rhea as the host of the Biggest Loser, that’s not saying I’m a fan of hers in any other context, since I’m not, but I think she was a good fit for the show. However, after the debacle that was the Biggest Loser 3 season finale, I can understand why NBC decided it was time for her to “pursue other interests.”

Alison Sweeney, the new host of the Biggest Loser 4, comes to us straight from the gutter of the TV world, also known as soap operas. Not only does she come from the single worst genre in the history of TV, she comes from the absolute worst soap opera of all time, Days of our Lives. Though she apparently knows exactly what it’s like to be fat, since she wrote a book about her experiences as a big girl after ballooning up to a massive size 12! Yeah, that’s right, a size 12… I got news for you folks, only in TV land is size 12 considered massive. One of Caroline Rhea’s butt cheeks is bigger than that for Christs sake.

The Biggest Loser has always been one of my favorite reality TV shows and it is one of the few that is truley inspirational and motivational for people, so I really hope they don’t screw things up by letting some soap opera star host it. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Production for the Biggest Loser 4 is set to begin sometime this spring.

The Apprentice 6: Los Angeles – Episode 5 Recap

February 11th, 2007 – It’s nice to have things back to normal again. I’m still not sure what happened last week with no show airing and no warning. I would have thought it to make more sense to bump this weeks episode if anything, what with the 49th Annual Grammy Awards being on and all. Oh well, I’m just glad to have things back to normal. I’m lost without my Sunday night Apprentice fix.

Tonight’s episode started with a very anxious Kinetic Corp. standing around with fingers crossed, hoping Donald Trump made the right decision and fired Marisa. After a bit of thumb twiddling and yapping back and forth, both Amy and Heidi walk around the corner and Kinetic Corp. erupts in cheers. Marisa was fired! Shortly after returning to camp Amy and Heidi jumped up beside the hedge and started chatting it up with Aaron about the boardroom, ragging on him for being so quite the whole time.

The next day both Kinetic and Arrow Corp. assemble outside Donald Trumps mansion, awaiting instructions for the next task. It turns out that the Donald has business to take care of elsewhere and is going to be taking off right away, leaving loyal the Apprentice 5 winner Sean Yazbeck to man the controls in his absence.

Find out who got fired in episode 5 of the Apprentice 6 LA, after the jump!

Survivor Fiji Kicks Off on CBS Tonight!

Survivor Fiji Cast (Image Source: RealityTVWorld)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children of all ages, hold on to your seats and prepare yourself for another super-fantastic-happy-season of Survivor on CBS!

Survivor Fiji kicks off in full force tonight and promises to be a great season. Its only been a matter of months since Survivor Cook Islands came to an end, where we saw survivor superstar Yul Kwon take home the grand prize, beating out the more deserving (and prettier) Playboy Foursome star Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth.

CBS, being the fantastic people that they are, graciously decided to start production on yet another season of Survivor almost immediately after the closing of Survivor Cook Islands. So, instead of having to wait nearly a year for another addition of the grandfather of reality TV, we’re getting treated to an early start and already things are looking promising!

The Apprentice 6 LA: No Apprentice Tonight?

Well, much to my surprise, it doesn’t look like there is going to be an episode of The Apprentice 6: LA airing tonight. For whatever reason the reality TV season’s newest steaming pile of crap, also known as Grease: You’re The One That I want, is taking up a precious 2-hour time spot for a live show.

The most annoying part of all this is the fact that I can’t, for the life of me, remember them saying anything about the show not airing tonight in last weeks episode. For that matter, I can’t even find anything on the NBC Apprentice 6: LA websites alluding to the fact that it won’t be airing tonight. Maybe I’m just missing something, but I’ve checked the TV listings and haven’t found a thing.

Needless to say, I’m rather disappointed, but at the same time not. Now I have time to catch up on episode 4 and 5 of the FX Networks TV show Dirt! Being an unlucky Canadian with regular old cable, I can’t actually get Dirt so I have to get a hold of each episode as I can through alternative means, and it’s sure worth it. I’m a huge fan of Entourage and can’t wait for it to come back in March, but until then Dirt! is filling in. The two shows have quite a few similarities, though Entourage is definitely the better show, Dirt is certainly off to a good start for the beginning of the TV shows first season.

Anyways, since there isn’t going to be an episode of the Apprentice 6: LA airing tonight, check out these sites to satiated your Apprentice induced lust!

Survivor Fiji: Survivor Contestant Quits Night Before Filming

Survivor Host Jeff Probst (Source: Canoe.ca)

According to the good folks over at Reality Blurred, Survivor Fiji sustained a more abrupt than usual loss of a contestant. The contestant in question didn’t even make it to the first tribal council but rather, unlike any other in the history of the hit reality TV series, decided to quit the night before filming even began! Way to waste everyones time lady!

During an interview with ASAP Blog, Survivor host Jeff Probst dropped the news that there would only be 19 contestants in Survivor Fiji “because we had somebody quit the night before, which has never happened before, so that threw us for a bit of a loop because we didn’t anticipate an odd number.” So, because of someones late decision to drop out of the running, the game will start off with one team at a disadvantage right off the bat. It could be interesting to see how that effects the game.

Find out what else Survivor Fiji host Jeff Probst said, after the jump!
