Heroes Season 3 Episode 20

Hiro and Ando went looking for Parkman in Heroes Season 3 Episode 19. When they found him, he was about 30 years younger than they’d expected.

Danko hears his security system go off. He’s got a gift hanging when he goes to see what’s going on: Eric the puppetmaster.

The irony of sacrificing her relationship to her sons in order to save her sons isn’t lost on Angela, though she believes Peter won’t forgive her. She suggests to HRG giving Rebel to Danko to earn his trust.

Danko brings Suresh to the room where they’re holding Daphne and the others. Easier to bring him there under his own free will and stab him there than to carry him.

Eric is also among the victims in Danko’s creepy room. HRG visits him and asks how he’d like to see Rebel lying there as well. He wants to use Tracy as bait to capture Rebel.

Hiro tells Parkman to not worry: they’ll make him big again. Maybe it’s Matt Parkman’s baby. Maybe it’s another Matt Parkman. Maybe it’s really the right guy. Whoever it is, he does have a power.

Angela Petrelli has a dream that her driver is pulled out of her car by some guys. Since she realizes this is a premonition, she runs out of the car when they stop.

Tracy busts out and starts to wake up the others. First Suresh, then Parkman. Parkman insists on waking up Daphne, whether she’ll slow them down or not. Since they’ve got the mind control guy, they will just walk out the front door.

HRG tells Tracy she should have stuck with Matt Parkman instead of going shopping. Who is Rebel? If she leads him to Rebel, he’ll let her go. If she runs and/or kills HRG instead, she’s dead.

Parkman and Suresh bring Daphne to the hospital, where Parkman’s able to convince them not to report this gunshot wound to the police.

Hiro plans to kidnap the baby, except it’s not kidnapping if they leave his mom a note. Before they can do anything, she returns home.

Tracy is provided with cash, ID, and a boarding pass. Micah will be following her.

Hiro and Ando explain that the baby is in danger. It started during the eclipse. The mother says Parkman is not a hero… he’s a terrorist. They warn her that heroes are being rounded up. Then there’s a knock on the door. They’ve got a warrant to bring her and her child in. The baby’s never met his father, and he can’t talk either. She pretends the kid’s at the babysitter’s, but they don’t buy it and want the house searched. It’s a good thing Ando’s got a cool new offensive power, and Hiro seems to have his time freezing ability back thanks to toddler touch and go. Too bad he can’t teleport, too. He’ll have to put Ando in a wheelbarrow and walk past the men with the guns.

Daphne’s awake now. She doesn’t believe they’re meant to be together, even if Matt does. It was nice meeting him, though. She doesn’t plan to slow down long enough for anyone to catch her, not even him.

Micah meets up with Tracy. He’s Rebel. If only she knew it were him, maybe she wouldn’t have set him up.

Just as a group of armed men think they’ve captured Angela, Peter shows up to fly her away.

Tracy tells Micah she’s not the person she used to be, but now he thinks she’s just a politician. Whose side is she on? Micah sets off the fire sprinklers as she instructs. She tells him to keep doing what he’s doing and to stay ahead of the ice. The men surrounding her will not be so lucky, but then again, Tracy will not be either, as Danko shoots her frozen body.

Hiro has restarted time. Now that they’ve saved little Matt Parkman, they have to save big Matt Parkman, too.

Parkman seems to have picked up a new flying power, which allows him to catch up with Daphne. Only this is not real. She knows they’re still in the hospital, and he’s just in her head trying to give her a story book ending. That he does, and she’s gone.

The Celebrity Apprentice 2 Episode 4

Despite the fact that Dennis Rodman was too drunk to join his team at the task in The Celebrity Apprentice 2 Episode 3, Tom Green was fired instead.

After the boardroom, the men continue arguing. Clint Black tries to talk some sense into Dennis, but Dennis doesn’t have any interest in sense.

Joan Rivers will be gone for the day (wasn’t she gone day one of the task last week, too?).

ACN’s new video phone will be launched by the teams. 500 sales people from ACN will judge them.

While they’re picking project managers, Dennis is outside the huddle, not contributing. There are three teams: men, women, and Dennis. Brian McKnight will be the project manager for the men. Claudia Jordan will be the project manager for the women.

After that’s done, they will negotiate for a time slot. Once again, Dennis sits out. Annie will negotiate with Clint. Both teams want the second presentation, so they’ll flip a coin. The men call tails and get their choice.

Then we see the real reason why Trump kept Dennis around. Dennis goes ballistic on Clint, further tearing apart the already torn apart team.

When the men begin their task, Brian doesn’t see the need to call Dennis because he doesn’t want him there anyway.

Jesse James thinks that product launches are a spectacle. They need to do something like a concert. Surely somebody would like to see Brian McKnight in concert. Jesse also suggests producing a video connecting with the troops, so they’d have to head to West Point, about 50 miles away. Clint is opposed to making the trip, but Brian’s got Jesse as his second in command.

The women, who don’t have an actual star, want to write a story about a family. Melissa Rivers wants her mom to perform for a few minutes.

T-Boz, who’s apparently been on the show the last few weeks, although I haven’t seen her, is getting frustrated during the brainstorming session. Brande, likewise, is confused as to what’s going on. They’re running into a problem that they’ve given Joan Rivers such a big role, yet she won’t be there until the morning. To make matters worse, she will be arriving later than previously scheduled, and since the women lost the coin toss, it will be too late for them to be able to utilize her at all.

Time for a plan B. The women realize they still don’t have a star, so they’re still stuck with Joan on the brain, even if she’s still not really a star either. Natalie Gulbis has a private plane that can pick her up whenever she wants.

Clint feels he’s excluded and is still not happy. Brian doesn’t feel like sharing because he’s already got his show ready. Clint will be making the phone calls to line everything up, including the pizza order for lunch.

Melissa tries to take control of the women’s task because Claudia doesn’t seem to have any ideas. Claudia basically tells Melissa to shut up, which Melissa finds insulting. Without Joan Rivers, there would be no Melissa Rivers, although to be fair, I’d never hear of Melissa Rivers before this show.

Eventually, Dennis Rodman strolls in, deciding he hasn’t actually quit the show. Brian would prefer he stay downstairs or elsewhere. Ivanka comes and asks Dennis to come join the group. She feels like Brian should humble himself and ask Dennis to join them. At least they can’t blame Dennis if they lose.

Brian gets hit by a bill of $4800, mostly for the monitor system. Dennis pipes up. He can get the monitors for them for free. Brian refuses that offer. Okay, now Brian’s taking this attitude of his too far.

The women are attempting to film, and all they’re getting is footage of a screeching baby. They get nowhere.

With the traffic, it takes them about 2 hours to get to West Point. Well worth it, though, because this is something that will hit home with everybody.

Dennis tells Clint he just had a bad day and that it’s behind them now, even if it’s not behind Brian.

While Claudia doesn’t appreciate the work Melissa’s trying to do, there are team members who realize she’s got experience producing shows.

Clint’s enjoying his great lack of responsibilities. If the men lose, they really can’t blame him either. Granted, it seems highly unlikely the women have any prayer anyway.

The women take 45 minutes out of their 1 hour of rehearsal time they have to get through it just once. Khloe Kardashian finds their whole thing confusing because they have too many moving parts. Brande doesn’t have much hope either. However, Melissa is attempting to make a last ditch effort at a recovery with just a few minutes left until showtime. Claudia reluctantly gives Melissa a backhanded compliment.

The women have managed to turn what little baby footage they managed to get into a decent video. Joan Rivers is happy to see that people can finally see her face that she’s spent so much money on. They’ve also got a film that ends with Brande going right in the audience to get proposed to. Finally something good seems to have come out of the women’s presentation.

Clint Black opens up the show for the men. He introduces the video of the soldier utilizing the phone in a real world environment, then he introduces the Brian McKnight performance. The audience enjoys the performance, but there is valid criticism what this has to do with the phone. They’d have done better to spend some more time on the soldiers.

Brian says that most of his team worked together as a team. Clint feels he’s patched things up with Dennis. Dennis agrees that he’ll get along well with him. However, Brian didn’t want to use him. At all.

Dennis says that, if the team lost, they can’t blame him. Clint says that Brian took command and would need to be blamed. Brian agrees that, if they lost, he should be fired.

Claudia says that Joan was the star of the team, despite only being there for about an hour. Melissa doesn’t think she was fully utilized. Annie thought it was total chaos and would have to blame the project manager for that chaos. Claudia continues blasting Melissa for no apparent reason. Melissa asks her mom to jump in to defend her, which Joan does to say that Claudia is the weakest link.

Dennis has been waiting for the women to implode.

The audience voted almost 85% in favor of the men (386-61). Brian has won $20,000 for his charity, Youthville USA.

All of the comments reinforced the idea that the vignettes were boring.

Annie points to the chaos in the room as evidence that Claudia could not control her team. Although she thought there was obnoxiousness on both sides, she gives Melissa credit for just putting her head down and doing a great job with what she was allowed to do.

Claudia tells Melissa that she knows she doesn’t like her. She’d better not like her anyway. Additionally, Melissa is very loud and obnoxious.

The men want to know why Melissa didn’t step up to be project manager if she’s got so much experience. A valid question.

Claudia acknowledges that she doesn’t like Melissa, but as much of a personal issue as she’s making it, she has to realize that attacking someone who everybody else says did a great job isn’t going to work. When pushed, she says that Khloe was the least effective person in the group. Ivanka doesn’t think Khloe’s done anything that necessarily determines a win or a loss.

Khloe would fire Claudia because of the lack of control. Joan would fire Claudia, due to her performance since day one (aka because she attacked Melissa). Brande didn’t really see all the fights because she was just doing her thing. Natalie would fire Claudia because she was the project manager.

Melissa and Khloe will be returning back with Claudia.

Although Claudia’s been blasting Melissa for the better part of the past hour, she has finally realized that Melissa won’t be fired, so she would fire Khloe.

Unsurprisingly, Claudia has been fired. She didn’t leave him any choice.

The Amazing Race 14 Episode 6

Having gotten lost trying to find the detour, Christie & Jodi finished last in The Amazing Race 14 Episode 5. However, it was a predetermined non-elimination leg, so they are still in the race, but they will face a speed bump as part of this week’s leg.

Due to the basketball overrun, The Amazing Race has been delayed about 50 minutes. A live blog will begin when 60 Minutes is over.

Teams depart in the order in which they arrived.

First: Margie & Luke – 12:18AM
Second: Tammy & Victor – 12:24AM
Third: Jaime & Cara – 12:30AM
Fourth: Mel & Mike – 1:01AM
Fifth: Mark & Michael – 1:02AM
Sixth: Kisha & Jen – 1:28AM
Seventh: Christie & Jodi – 3:09AM

Teams will fly to Jaipur, India, a big change from the freezing Siberia. They must connect through Moscow. Despite the hotter climate, the teams realize they’re going to be hit with massive culture shock. All teams will depart from New Delhi to Jaipur via the 5:40AM flight, meaning that the airport won’t do anything to help the blondes to overcome their speed bump deficit, although it will put all teams even and erase the current hour and a half gap they’re facing.

Mel & Mike start off with a taxi headache. Their guy doesn’t know where he’s going, and he runs off to ask. They’d get another cab, but they can’t get their stuff out of the trunk. The rest of the teams are amazed by the crowded, dangerous driving conditions, but from there they hit the poverty that forces them to tears.

Eventually, the teams arrive at their destination, Dhula village in the middle of nowhere. They just go there to be told to turn around and go to Amber Fort (except they can barely understand the voice on the other end of the phone). Tammy & Victor lead the pack, followed by the next 5 teams all bunched together, and then Christie & Jodi bringing up the rear.

The road block is to care for camels. They must load and carry enough food and water to satisfy each of the camels in their group.

Road block (in order of arrival): Victor, Kisha, Jaime, Mel, Margie, Mark, Jodi

Tammy thinks her dad would love to see Victor shoveling camel feed, considering they were born with silver spoons. It’s not entirely clear why the oldest guy is doing this physical task. That should be good news for the blondes who can make up a bit of time. However, unlike most of the other teams, Mel is smart enough to pay attention to the clue and use the basket for the food, instead of the bucket. Kisha finally realizes the “secret” of the basket when she sees Mel doing it, and the other teams are starting to catch on, too. Because he was the only one paying attention and despite all the drama surrounding how the task was supposedly too difficult for him, Mel finishes before all the others. Jodi has made up some time, but they’re still in last with a speed bump ahead.

From there, teams will race to a puppet store.

In the detour, teams must choose between movers or shakers, both of which will send them through the chaotic streets of Jaipur. In movers, teams will have to transport barrels via cycle and then find a small metal elephant. In shakers, teams must join a dance troupe, where they must shake their hips for tips to earn 100 rupees.

Before the detour, Christie & Jodi must use colored paint to decorate an elephant as their speed bump. They’d better be praying for a miracle because the detour is not difficult enough that anybody is going to lose ground on it. The dancing task sure seems simple enough anyway. Perhaps they’ll get lucky and the moving/searching task, chosen by only one team, will be harder.

Shakers: Tammy & Victor, Mel & Mike, Kisha & Jen, Margie & Luke, Jaime & Cara, Christie & Jodi
Movers: Mark & Michael

The pit stop for this leg of the race is Jaigarh Fort.

First: Tammy & Victor (win ocean kayaks)
Second: Mel & Mike
Third: Kisha & Jen
Fourth: Margie & Luke
Fifth: Jaime & Cara
Sixth: Mark & Michael
Eliminated: Christie & Jodi

After squeaking by a few times, Christie & Jodi have finally been eliminated, coming in just seconds behind Mark & Michael. Nonetheless, they leave with a positive attitude.

Dollhouse Episode 6

Echo was turned into a blind woman and sent to dissolve a fanatical religious cult in Dollhouse Season 1 Episode 5.

According to the news, stories of an FBI task force investigating the Dollhouse have been flatly denied. Yet Agent Ballard doesn’t seem to have gotten the message that his task does not exist.

Victor is wondering why Sierra is sitting alone. So he goes up and touches her on the shoulder, and she responds by screaming in terror. After this, Dr. Saunders finds out Sierra’s had sex since she’s been there. They’ll have to send Victor to the attic if he’s been playing doctor when not imprinted with an MD. Echo says that Sierra cries when they go into the pods.

Ballard suspects Joel Mynor, a doctom billionaire, as a potential Dollhouse client. Agent Loomis agrees to help him out, but she warns him that if the director finds out, he’s going to want him out. One more step closer to bringing… her in.

When he goes to bust Mynor, he gets his first up close and personal glimpse of Echo, who’s posing as his wife Rebecca Mynor. One of the security guys tasers Ballard, but they might want to try something better next time because he gets up fighting as usual. While Ballard’s taking out half a dozen men, Boyd arrives to drag off Echo. Mynor thinks Ballard must be in love with Echo. He’s not exactly afraid of Ballard since he won’t arrest him and probably won’t kill him. He could probably make him suffer, though. Rebecca really was Joel’s wife. Now that she’s dead, he’s hiring zombies to pretend to be her. Their discussion ends when they hear the sirens coming, since Ballard knows he’s the one they’ll cuff.

Boyd recommends isolating Victor and his handler. Victor knows he did something bad. If only someone would tell him what.

Following his conversation with Mynor about how he’s living in a fantasy world, Ballard finally decides to make a move on his neighbor when he gets home.

Now that he’s pretended to take out Victor, Boyd catches Hearn, the person actually responsible for Sierra’s troubles, in the act.

In addition to the trouble with the handler and Sierra, they’re also aware that there’s an FBI agent on their tail, spilling his guts to the nearest civilian.

Echo’s been engaged, but Boyd needs some chill time since he put another handler through a plate glass window, so he’s not on the case.

They are in the business of using people. So the question is: what use is someone like Hearn to them? Mellie, Ballard’s neighbor, needs to be killed because she knows too much. Since he’s sleeping with her now, Ballard might not take too kindly to that.

When Ballard goes out to get some take out food, he sees Echo, who’s waiting for him and ready to kick his ass. After she practices the skills that made her a good vampire hunter on him, she tells him what he already knows: the Dollhouse is real. There are too many Dollhouses, and they are far too powerful for him to take them down. The person who sent her there wants to help, but he has to let them win this one first. A police officer sees them, Echo hands back Ballard’s gun, and makes him shoot the cop. They will protect the information. Ballard can stay alive, but anyone else is in danger.

As she’s getting strangled, Mellie gets a call from Adelle. Then she turns into superwoman and gains the upper hand. The newly deceased Hearn won’t be bothering anyone else for a while.

Following the shooting, Ballard has been suspended from the FBI.

As for Echo, she’s back to playing the role of Rebecca Mynor.

Hell’s Kitchen Season 5 Episode 7

In Hell’s Kitchen 5 Episode 6, the previously largely invisible Coi (aside from her occasional flipping out at Lacey) was eliminated.

Carol is surprised she wasn’t put on the block. She should have been.

Today’s challenge is tapas style cooking. First, they’ll need to even the teams. The chef fakes out Lacey, who has performed well since leaving the women (who have not performed well since she left). They’re relieved, as is she. Giovanni, however, will be moving over to the ladies. Good luck.

The teams will have 20 minutes to create their dishes. Lacey doesn’t think she’ll go very much further if she can’t even come up with a dish, which she can’t.

Paula: pepper steak and eggs
Danny: filet mignon with mushroom ragu
Both get a point.

Lacey: mushroom bruschetta (Ben’s suggestion) on top of uncooked sauteed leeks
LA: asparagus and ginger soup – looks and tastes like it came out of the bottom of a dishwasher
Neither get a point.

Carol: ginger seared tuna with fried leeks glazed with a ginger soy reduction (bad news… there wasn’t actually any soy sauce in the kitchen, so what she actually used was balsamic)
Robert: pasta with butternut squash – good flavor, albeit too large
Point for Robert.

Andrea: lobster and asparagus ravioli – boring looking but delivers in taste
J: lobster with fennel and leek broth – too simple
Point for Andrea to tie at 2.

Giovanni: surf and turf style tapa
Ben: grilled tuna and asparagus
Both are called extraordinary, but thanks to their new chef Giovanni, red team has won.

Punishment for the blue team is a double prep with service that night. Red team, meanwhile, will go to Hollywood Park horse racing.

Giovanni wants his new team to stop bickering. If they don’t, they’ll lose again.

Lacey’s not overly interested in the punishment. Time to slack off and whine. She and Robert hate each other (still), so she says she’s leaving if anybody fights with her. Ben has to babysit her. J is okay if she just leaves. She says she quits and walks out. Robert wants her to go be a chef in a psycho ward so she can get some free therapy. Ben goes to talk to her. Again. Telling her they need her. Again. She’s not buying what he’s selling, but she agrees to go back inside.

With a positive attitude following his challenge win, Giovanni hopes he will rub off on the rest of his team. Not likely.

Chef Ramsay tastes the women’s rice, which is overcooked and mushy. J cooked it during their punishment. That means the blue team’s rice is messed up, too.

Half an hour later, appetizers are leaving the kitchen. Then they’re being brought back since they’re undercooked. Andrea and Carol hate each other again. Before going back to service, they’re forced to eat the uncooked pasta.

J’s messing up again, with cold/burned fish.

LA’s sleeping or something, so Ramsay calls her a cow.

Ramsay has finally had enough of J. He’ll be leaving the kitchen now. Not just that, he’s off the show. That was… sudden.

Giovanni seems to actually be making progress on pulling the red team together, even if they still hate each other’s guts.

Ben is struggling to cook the wellingtons, so Ramsay tells him he’s next. He’s watching him because he wants him out. Paula, however, is told that hers are perfectly cooked.

After the service, Carol and Andrea return to bickering. Carol’s about to lose her cool. Funny, I thought she already lost it.

Blue team has lost, which doesn’t surprise anyone. Ben acknowledges he performed poorly. That said, he doesn’t understand why Lacey would consider nominating him. Speaking of Lacey, Robert is tired of dealing with her emotional issues.

Robert nominates Lacey because she doesn’t care. Lacey nominates Robert because he nominated her. Danny nominates Lacey due to her attitude and threats to quit. Ben nominates Lacey for the reasons already mentioned. Regardless of the nominations, Ramsay wants Lacey to step forward along with Ben.

Ben admits that he was the worst performing chef on the blue team tonight. He’ll tell the truth no matter what. Ben gets one more chance. Lacey can also get back in line. Since J was already booted, nobody else is going home. Lacey agrees to work with her team, even though she hates them like she hated the red team.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of Hell’s Kitchen Season 5 Episode 8, which airs Thursday at 9/8c on Fox.
