NBC Heroes Episode 14: “Distractions” Recap

February 5th, 2007 - Wow, just… wow. NBC has really struck gold with their absolute smash hit TV show Heroes. Every week I look forward to watching the newest episode and every week I am impressed. This weeks episode in particular was fantastic and, without a doubt, one of my absolute favorites.

The Heroes are all developing and learning more about their powers, their stories are slowly starting to cross paths and intertwine more and more, and things just keep getting better and better. In last weeks episode 13: “The Fix”, they finally revealed exactly who Claire’s [Hayden Panettiere] biological mother is (Meredith Gordon [Jessalyn Gilsig]) and promised to reveal her biological father in episode 14: “Distractions”. Well, as was promised, they revealed just who Claire’s biological father is, and all I can say is… I KNEW IT!

Find out what happened in Heroes episode 14: “Distractions”, after the jump!

Perez Hilton Is My Heroes… er, Hero!

What can I say, I’m one of the people out there that actually likes Perez Hilton and will gladly admit to the fact. The guy gets hated on more than any other blogger I know of, but I guess that’s the price you pay for becoming one of, if not the single most successful bloggers in North America.

Perez Hilton (real name: Mario Lavandeira) has been elevated to near celebrity status through his blog and gets to meet people I could only dream of meeting. He gets invited to all the best parties, gets mass amounts of swag, makes a 6-figure income and, best of all, gets to meet some of my absolutely favorite celebrities. Just recently Perez had the distinct honor of meeting NBC Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia at one such party. Milo was hanging out, having a good time with some of his friends and agents from CAA, and apparently even Milo is a fan of Perez Hilton and a regular reader.

In case you can’t tell, this is me, being jealous.

The Apprentice 6 LA: No Apprentice Tonight?

Posted by soultrance on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at 11:07 pm

Well, much to my surprise, it doesn’t look like there is going to be an episode of The Apprentice 6: LA airing tonight. For whatever reason the reality TV season’s newest steaming pile of crap, also known as Grease: You’re The One That I want, is taking up a precious 2-hour time spot for a live show.

The most annoying part of all this is the fact that I can’t, for the life of me, remember them saying anything about the show not airing tonight in last weeks episode. For that matter, I can’t even find anything on the NBC Apprentice 6: LA websites alluding to the fact that it won’t be airing tonight. Maybe I’m just missing something, but I’ve checked the TV listings and haven’t found a thing.

Needless to say, I’m rather disappointed, but at the same time not. Now I have time to catch up on episode 4 and 5 of the FX Networks TV show Dirt! Being an unlucky Canadian with regular old cable, I can’t actually get Dirt so I have to get a hold of each episode as I can through alternative means, and it’s sure worth it. I’m a huge fan of Entourage and can’t wait for it to come back in March, but until then Dirt! is filling in. The two shows have quite a few similarities, though Entourage is definitely the better show, Dirt is certainly off to a good start for the beginning of the TV shows first season.

Anyways, since there isn’t going to be an episode of the Apprentice 6: LA airing tonight, check out these sites to satiated your Apprentice induced lust!

The Heroes news just keeps pouring in and I can’t help but write about it. Just resterday I wrote about a whole whack of information and interpretations based on the NBC Heroes episode 14: “Distractions” preview video and not even 24-hours later I’ve got more juicy tidbits to pass out.

Episode 14 - “Distractions” is quickly building up to be one of the best episodes of the season, and it is still four days away, but we’ve already got the low down on NBC Heroes episode 15: “Run” for you!

Somehow Jared of JustJared.com managed to get his hands on some prime promo photos and information for the upcoming Heroes NBC episode. As if it wasn’t enough introducing Claire’s [Hayden Panetierrie] biological mother, Meredith Gordon [Jessalyn Gilsig], and her biological father [tbd], now it appears that everyone’s favorite creepy evil not-quite-as-dead-as-he-wants-you-to-think guy Sylar [Zachary Quinto] is getting a brand new buddy!

Are you excited yet? I sure am! Episode 14 of NBC’s smash hit TV series Heroes is a mere 5-days away and the good people at NBC have already released an episode 14 preview!

If you haven’t yet had a chance to watch the Heroes episode 14 preview video, than go do it now! Right now! You have no idea what you’re missing. Episode 14 is going to be big, very big, and things are all going to start coming together. I can’t wait! Can you tell I’m excited about this one?

In Heroes episode 13 - “The Fix”, we finally got our very first look at Claire Bennet’s [Hayden Panettiere] biological mother. Albeit brief, we have at least seen her now, but wait, there’s more.

In the preview video for Heroes episode 14, we get a further glimpse into the life of Claire’s biological mother Meredith Gordon [Jessalyn Gilsig], we’re also going to see the first signs of Peter Petrelli [Milo Ventimiglia] going nuclear, Niki is going to go nutso on someone (possibly her psychologist) and by the looks of it, possibly even get her hands on a gun, Sylar is going to escape HGR/Mr. Bennet’s clutches, while trapping Mr. Bennet in his cell at the same time, Sylar’s also going to pay Claire’s non-biological mother a visit that could have a very bloody ending, but most importantly, the information every Heroes fan has been waiting to learn will finally be revealed:

Survivor Fiji: Survivor Contestant Quits Night Before Filming

Survivor Host Jeff Probst (Source: Canoe.ca)

According to the good folks over at Reality Blurred, Survivor Fiji sustained a more abrupt than usual loss of a contestant. The contestant in question didn’t even make it to the first tribal council but rather, unlike any other in the history of the hit reality TV series, decided to quit the night before filming even began! Way to waste everyones time lady!

During an interview with ASAP Blog, Survivor host Jeff Probst dropped the news that there would only be 19 contestants in Survivor Fiji “because we had somebody quit the night before, which has never happened before, so that threw us for a bit of a loop because we didn’t anticipate an odd number.” So, because of someones late decision to drop out of the running, the game will start off with one team at a disadvantage right off the bat. It could be interesting to see how that effects the game.

Find out what else Survivor Fiji host Jeff Probst said, after the jump!
