Survivor has been renewed for season 19 (and 20). Season 19 will take place in the Samoan Islands in the South Pacific Ocean. 18 new castaways will participate in Survivor: Samoa, which begins airing in September on CBS.

Survivor: Tocantins Winner

After having humored Coach for this long, I would have expected them to be smart enough to keep him around a few more days, but the others finally decided to vote him out in Survivor: Tocantins Episode 13. That brings us down to a final four of: Erinn Lobdell, James “JT” Thomas Jr, Stephen Fishbach, and Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George. By the end of the night, one of them will be the Survivor: Tocantins winner.

Stephen’s concerned that he looks like a backstabber, whereas JT backed Coach up and remained loyal. Is Stephen finally realizing that his plan of going to the final two with JT is a stupid one? Taj also realizes that JT’s a threat, but they don’t appear overly enthused about doing anything about it.

The immunity challenge is to race through a tarantula-shaped obstacle course and retrieve a bag of puzzle pieces from three stations. They will use those puzzle pieces to solve a web-shaped puzzle. Stephen and Erinn go their own way. Taj follows JT up the same leg. JT’s off to an early lead and gets his first bag. After being the first to bring back his first bag, he’s also the first one with his second bag. Taj, Stephen, and JT are returning wth their first bag, as JT returns with his second bag. Stephen returns with his second bag, followed by Erinn and Taj. JT is through with his final bag. The good news for the others is that it’s a puzzle, which is not going to be JT’s strong suit. Stephen is back with his final bag. Taj and Erinn have finished with their bags, so now everybody’s working on the puzzle. Despite being the last one back, Erinn’s still in this challenge, although Taj has fallen out of it. In a close finish, JT wins immunity.

Now Erinn needs to try to figure out how to get them to vote out Taj. She says that Taj played a good social game, and she’s got a lot of friends on the jury.

As with last time when they should have kept Coach, this time they should be keeping Erinn because she’s unlikely to win jury votes. None of her tribe members were fond of her, whether they were with her from the beginning or not, although she may earn respect for surviving against the odds.

With three votes, Taj has been voted out. She had plenty of chances to turn this thing around, but she kept throwing it away for her alliance to the guys who just voted her out.

When they return from tribal council, JT says he’s already suffering. Erinn is the most annoying person he knows, and she will not shut up.

Erinn promises that she’ll be taking Stephen with her if she wins immunity. She realizes that, even if she doesn’t win, the other two don’t want to go up against each other. They already proved with Taj they’d act on that, but would they really cut each other?

The final immunity challenge will be to catch dropping balls as they get to the bottom of the chute. This will require concentration and coordination. They will have to prevent a ball from touching the ground with one hand behind their back. Based on their pitiful performances on previous endurance competitions, Stephen and Erinn can color themselves lucky this is not one like it typically is. After a couple practice runs, they add a second ball. Then a third. Erinn is the first one out. After Stephen bobbles a couple balls, nearly breaking the rules by touching one with his other hand in the process, they add a fourth ball. Stephen continues with his close saves before finally letting one drop, and JT wins the final immunity.

Stephen’s happy to have lost immunity. Now it’s up to JT to make the decision. I don’t know that it matters much either way. Both Erinn and Stephen will have difficulty getting jury votes against JT, which they should have realized a few votes back.

Erinn says that she’ll probably get Taj’s vote, but other than that, her tribe wanted her gone weeks ago. They were just too disorganized to pull it off. She also tells JT that Stephen questioned whether he could beat him in the end.

Stephen’s pitch is that JT will win no matter what, so he might as well do it while keeping his word.

At the final tribal council, Stephen tries to say that if JT doesn’t bring him, their friendship will be damaged and they will not be the same type of friends afterward. The jury finds this humorous since Stephen’s done enough lying of his own in this game.

Erinn has been eliminated. On the sheer stupidity of that vote alone, JT should lose this game, but it’s going to be hard for Stephen to convince the jury to vote for him. Granted, Stephen kept JT along with him this whole time, knowing just how hard he would be to beat in the end.

Stephen says that he and JT basically shared a brain during this experience. With that said, he wants to focus on what he’s brought out of it. His road has been harder because this is not his element. For real? That’s why he wants them to vote for him?

JT talks a bit more in circles but focuses on how he provided for the tribe and stuck to his word (at least as far as Stephen goes).

Brendan asks Stephen about his opening speech, and if he can think of any game where the person who works hardest or grows the most wins. Stephen’s response: maybe Survivor falls under that category. JT responds that growth is irrelevant, and he outplayed Stephen, who hid in the shadows. Stephen responds that hiding in the shadows is a legitimate strategy.

Erinn asks Stephen about his alliances: the Jalapao three, the Exile alliance, and the warrior alliance. Why is everyone in those alliances on the jury? He feels he used those alliances as best he could as an aggressive game player.

Her question for JT is why Stephen is the best as far as the talk about taking strong to the end. I’m not real clear what his answer is.

Deb says she hasn’t decided yet. She asks JT about honesty. Is he really honest, or is he a liar? She does realize that’s part of the game, correct? JT says that he had to lie to get there, using her trying to get rid of Coach as an example.

Her question for Stephen is who he would have picked to be in the finals. She wants an honest answer. He doesn’t know. Nope, that’s not good enough. It’s fair to say that’s an honest answer, but it’s not a good enough honest answer. If you don’t lie and/or tell her what she wants to hear, she will keep going on all night. He thinks it would be Erinn, though he hopes he would have taken JT.

Coach talks about honesty and integrity. As if he weren’t a big fat liar. JT’s example of honesty is that he kept his promise to Coach to not vote against him, even if he knew he was going home. He also just realized that he was dumb enough to keep his word to Stephen, who just acknowledged he might have broken his word given the chance. For Stephen, his response is that he didn’t just vote a certain way to keep his word, knowing full well that the person he was voting along with was going to go home anyway.

Sierra doesn’t have a question for Stephen because she probably had the same question Debbie had. Her question for JT is why he took Stephen when he’s standing next to one of the weakest players ever. JT’s response is that Stephen is the strongest next to him. Memo to Sierra, who’s sitting there calling Stephen and Erinn the two weakest players in the game: they’re in the final three, and they did not eliminate themselves on day one.

Tyson asks JT if Stephen was an asset getting him to the final. JT says that he thinks he could have gotten there if Stephen were not there with him, and he’s right. Everybody was tripping over themselves to bring JT (and by extension Stephen) to the end, and they were all fools to do so. Stephen does not like that response and believes they needed each other to get to the end, although Erinn and Taj would have taken Stephen to the end if they won the final immunity.

Taj asks JT why it was so hard to put Coach’s name down, but he was okay with putting her name down. He says that that was actually the hardest vote of the game. She’s also bitter toward Stephen. He blames JT. This ends up with JT and Stephen arguing with each other, until Taj decides to just sit down and let them keep fighting because she’s heard enough. JT feels like a fool for not bringing Erinn.

Whatever small chance Stephen may have had coming into this, he certainly didn’t do himself any favors with his answers to the questions.

By a unanimous vote, the Survivor: Tocantins winner is JT. He made a potentially stupid move at the end, though even that didn’t put him in any real danger and allowed him to keep his word. He was in a great position throughout the game, with none of his fellow competitors being smart enough to want to eliminate him.

JT and Stephen thank Coach for his big mouth, telling JT all of the other side’s plans.

Erinn says that she jumped over to the other side so easily because she was still at the bottom, but the bottom was higher over there than it was on her own dysfunctional tribe.

Did anyone talk about taking out JT earlier? Taj says no, it never came up. Idiots.

Probst has kept JT’s tooth, and he’s apparently been holding on to it in his pocket the whole time. JT has no use for it, but maybe his mom would like it back.

Coach is still full of himself, and he still believes he’s speaking the truth. Yeah, this from the guy who began lying before he even got to the show, which caused him to get fired from his job because he wasn’t up front with them how long he was going to be gone. He has declined Probst’s request for a lie detector test. He brought one with him instead. The audience believes this has been rigged. Sierra already proved him to be lying about question one (playing Survivor with integrity and honesty), but the test supposedly proves him to be telling the truth about how he got captured by a native tribe that wanted to eat his ass. Coach’s “lady friend” says we only saw Coach and not the other of his multiple personalities that’s more normal.

Viewers have voted for the Sprint player of the season. It’s pretty obvious JT will win this, too.

JT, Taj, and Sierra are the three top vote getters. JT is the winner, so he gets an extra $100,000.

Joe’s leg is back to normal. Jerry’s buddies ask him what happened out there. Jeff apparently just saw Candace, who’s listed as an attorney, in a commercial. She’s evidentally having more luck with her modelling career that the /models there.

JT says that he hopes he to use some of the money to get into a business partnership with Stephen.

Still among the top 20 shows on television after 9 years, Survivor will of course be back next season. Season 19 will be dubbed Survivor: Samoa.

Prison Break Season 4 Episode 22

In Prison Break Season 4 Episode 21, the first half of the series finale, Sucre and C-Note returned and are meeting with a guy who says he can help them out, Self got immunity to allow him to choose whichever side he wants, Mahone went to save Lincoln, and Michael went to save Sarah.

Michael and Sarah are discussing their plans to have a normal life at some point.

Then he receives a call from Mahone, who says that nothing happened because the detonator must have failed. They don’t have 5 minutes to wait for Scofield to arrive, so he will have to trigger it manually. Christina instructs Downey to kill Mahone, but he beats up both of them before giving them the chance. Then he dives out of the room before the explosion goes off.

Sucre makes a call to T-Bag, who’s got a gun at his head because he angered the general.

Sarah and Michael arrive at the location to pick up Lincoln, who doesn’t want to go to the hospital since hospitals mean jail. Mahone says that Christina’s buried. She’s probably still alive, though. Yep, she’s moving.

T-Bag tries to con Sucre, managing to get himself captured in the process.

They’re out of options who to trust, so Michael plans to destroy Scylla. It’s not as if the general’s going to honor his agreement with them anyway. Then Michael gets a call from Paul Kellerman, the guy C-Note’s been talking to. The rumors of his demise were greatly exaggerated. He says Scylla can be used for good if Michael agrees to give it to the United Nations.

Sucre tells T-Bag that, if they take Scylla to the UN, there will be an immunity list. He can be on it if he works with them.

Michael tells Burrows they’re brothers, whether they’re related or not.

Homeland Security is denying Self medical care, which is apparently within their ability to do. He may not be able to talk, but he can write. Not that he’s going to give them any information.

When they break into the hospital, Sarah gets what she needs to help Lincoln, but Mahone gets arrested by the guys from Homeland. As they’re about to drive away, the general’s guy tracks them down from Lincoln’s cell phone.

C-Note and Sucre hang T-Bag upside down to get him to talk.

The general’s got himself a new hostage: Sofia. Yeah, you can trust this guy.

Mahone tells the agents they’re missing what’s right in front of their faces. They don’t care about doing what’s right. They just want Scofield and Burrows.

Sucre and C-Note bust in to kill the general’s thugs and force him to let Sofia walk. Michael and Lincoln would like to kill the general. Sarah wants to let him live. He says they win, and it’s all just a game. Sucre doesn’t want revenge and just wants to clear his name, so he wants to just go and let the general live, as their hostage.

C-Note is not sure they can trust Kellerman, but he is sure that he’s their last option.

During their escape, Sucre blocks the cops, being captured by them in the process.

The others manage to get away, but they’ve been found. The mama’s not dead.

The guys who aren’t getting anywhere with Mahone are now trying to get Sucre to work with them as well. He ain’t budging either. Perhaps if they keep capturing people, they will find someone dumb enough to talk.

Christina grabs Scylla. Michael makes her an offer: drop the gun and put Scylla on the ground, or he’ll kill her. She tells him to go ahead and kill her. His gun doesn’t fire, so now she wants to shoot him. Sarah’s gun works, though. A little too well. She kills Christina, hitting Michael as well, but it appears to be a minor wound.

As Michael’s bringing Scylla to Kellerman, two guys capture him. Good thing they’re working for Kellerman, who agrees that they will all be exonerated. He hands over Scylla, but there’s a piece missing. Michael wants to know exactly who this guy’s contacts are in the US government before making a deal. So does he actually have Scylla, or do they need to hurry up and run for their lives? Tired of running, Michael puts the other piece in place.

The general has managed to escape, but he doesn’t get away before being arrested.

Alex, C-Note, Sucre, Michael, Lincoln, and Sarah are presented with documents that they sign, and then they’re free to go. Pam has been located, and she’s safe, as are Sofia and LJ.

One last bit of business: T-Bag. Do they free him or not? They’re allowed to make the choice. He asks for forgiveness in God’s name. They took a vote, and he’s in luck. He gets a stick of gum on the van ride back to prison.

Now Michael and Sarah can begin to plan their future for real. His bloody noses don’t seem to be a thing of the past, though.

Four years later, Mahone’s dating Agent Lang. Lincoln’s living with Sofia and LJ. Sucre’s with his daughter. Don Self is still a vegetable. C-Note is living out a normal life as a UPS man. Kellerman is a Congressman. The general is getting the electric chair. T-Bag is back in prison, where he’s back to his old ways.

Sarah has a new Michael in her life, her son. They’re going to see the older Michael, who has since died, and they’re all visiting him at the graveyard.

Due to its continuing ratings decline, Prison Break was cancelled, but at least they had a long time to prepare for it and create a proper series finale, although Fox did make sure it was aired to the fewest viewers possible.

Prison Break Season 4 Episode 21

Michael was given a choice at the end of Prison Break Season 4 Episode 20. Does he want to save his girlfriend or his brother?

His plan: save both. He doesn’t know how, though. His only advantage now is that neither party knows the other has leverage. Mahone suggests they go one at a time, and Sarah has the advantage of not having a bullet in her chest.

Michael calls his mom and asks to meet in 45 minutes. She won’t give Lincoln help until she gets what she needs.

Mahone suggests going to their mom and making a deal so she can have Scylla and help them eliminate the general, but Michael doesn’t want to. They’re not giving it back, and they’re going to save everyone.

Fernando Sucre’s in Chicago. We haven’t seen him in a while.

Self wakes up in the hospital. He’d like to leave, but he can’t since there are some men with badges waiting there to talk to him.

Christina instructs Downey to shoot Michael’s knees if he tries anything, so that he’s immobilized but not dead. As for Lincoln, he’ll be dumped off the dock when she gets Scylla. A bystander calls the cops and says he sees one of the guys from TV. During Michael’s conversation with his mother, he’s unable to convince her to follow him to get Scylla, so when the cops arrive and she has to leave, one of her guys trips the homemade explosive device instead.

Sucre’s having dinner with C-Note, who wants to know where Michael and Lincoln are so that he can get out of his trouble with the feds, since they want to renig on his deal.

Not getting anywhere with Self nicely, the agents who come to see him will try a little torture on him instead.

Now the general’s giving Michael a deadline. He gives him one hour until T-Bag starts playing doctor with the doctor. Sarah warns T-Bag that he’s going to die if he doesn’t leave now.

Michael calls Lincoln, who tells him there’s not enough time, and that Sarah’s pregnant, so he should go to her.

Which horse is Mahone backing now? Michael’s not quite clear on that. Mahone says that he’s just trying to do what it takes to not lose everything.

Christina never considered Lincoln her son, and she reveals to him that he isn’t. Not that being her son has worked out so great for Michael.

C-Note belives he’s found a guy who can actually help them, as long as they tell him where the brothers are.

Christina’s contact has gotten on the plane, so now she’s starting to become unstable, or more unstable. Mahone calls her to tell her that Michael’s giving Scylla back to the general in exchange for Sarah’s life. He offers her Scylla to protect his family. Mahone feels that he owes Burrows, since he’s always been straight with him and helped him out before. If he can give her Scylla and Lincoln’s still breathing, he can have Lincoln.

The general gives Michael the location where they’re going to meet, and he says that the last thing he wants is to see any member of his family ever again, so if he leaves him alone, he’ll be left alone as well.

Mahone gives Michael the case and tells him to leave. He’s got the situation with his wife handled.

Not one to actually honor his deal with Michael, the general tells T-Bag that they aren’t going to be taking Sarah to the exchange.

The attorney general has granted Self immunity. So who’s he going to be a threat to? He has agreed to call Scofield, who says it’s not necessary to tell him where he is because the whole thing’s about to be over anyway. Their conversation does not allow enough time to trace his location.

T-Bag plans to return Sarah in one piece. A piece that’s a little used.

The general gets a case from Scofield. It’s empty.

Downey dresses up like a doctor and needs to check on the patient. If the fall didn’t kill Self, he will.

Michael begins ascending the outside of the building, floor by floor. Sarah’s already in the process of escaping, but T-Bag intends to show her he’s not erectorally challenged. Before he can prove himself, Michael knocks him out.

Mahone brings Scylla to Christina as he promised. Before doing business with her, he would like to know that his wife’s in the clear. He willingly hands over Scylla before receiving those assurances, though. When they get inside, he’s locked in a room with Lincoln.

It turns out that Michael made a deal with Mahone so that they could get to both of them in time. They created a fake Scylla that’s actually a bomb.

The Apprentice UK Series 5 Episode 8

Philip’s attitude finally got him fired, though Lorraine’s lack of competence was not enough for her to be booted in The Apprentice UK Series 5 Episode 7.

The task is to rebrand the seaside town of Margate.

Debra and Howard would like to be project manager for Empire. She’s not budging because she doesn’t want him to have a chance to shine (again), and so to get on with things, he agrees to be the subteam manager.

Yasmina is the project manager for Ignite.

Coming from Kent, Mona knows Margate well. She suggests a family theme. Howard points out that’s the same thing it is already, not a rebrand. The rest of the team decides to target a gay market because they will go on more vacations and spend more. Mona doesn’t see this market as a big thing for Kent.

On the other team, Lorraine wants to target the family market, and they agree.

Empire’s first task is to find some models. Apparently there are no gay models, so they will need to find straight guys able to act the most gay.

Ben says that the buildings that aren’t boarded up are quite nice.

Mona and James talk to some of the locals, who seem to be okay with marketing to the gay market.

Yasmina and Kate are looking for their mom and dad, who will apparently need to be not fully clothed because they have the men take off their tops and the women show their legs.

Mona and James make a stop to the local gay bar, where Mona’s first stop is to talk to a man who’s becoming a woman.

The next morning is a photo shoot. It’s terribly foggy everywhere. They will have to take some pictures anyway because this is the only day they have available to them. Luckily, the fog lifts by later in the day.

Ben takes control of directing the family and the framing.

Howard doesn’t want a poster that’s nothing but text, but Debra says they can always pass it around so that people can read it.

When Ben and Lorraine are done with the photos, they send them to London so that Yasmina and Kate can work with them. They’re not happy with them because there’s not enough blank space to put text.

Debra and Howard, however, are happy with Mona’s and James’ photos. Now they just need to figure out what to do with them.

At 7:20, Lorraine would like to change her team’s photos completely. The deadline is 8:00. Lorraine’s giving Yasmina a headache.

With half an hour to go, Debra and Mona begin their work on the leaflet. They have to rush through it. There’s nice blank spaces left over.

First to hear the pitches are two agency chiefs and a tourism expert.

Kate does the pitch for Ignite. They want to see Margate through children’s eyes. They’re asked whether they would actually recognize their campaign amongst a bunch of other posters if it did not have a logo.

Howard does the pitch for Empire. Their concept is that things are changing. They’ve come up with an explanation for their unfinished leaflets: they plan to offer local businesses the chance to advertise. They can tell it’s not finished, though. The excessive words on the posters are brought up as an issue, as Howard said would happen.

Next stop is Margate and its residents. One of the residents offers Ignite criticism about one of their pictures looking an oil slick, whatever that’s supposed to mean. She also expected to see something that pushed boundaries. Their campaign is pretty safe.

For the other team, they’re doing just that. Their campaign is about something different. However, their pictures are criticized. Back to Debra’s excessive words again. Another concern is that just marketing to gays is limited.

When asked who didn’t perform as well, Debra says it was her team in Margate.

The branding experts, officials, and residents of Margate scored their efforts out of 10. This is a pretty dicey task because it’s so subjective.

Empire got a 4 out of 10 from officials and residents, while Ignite received a 7 out of 10. The branding experts gave Empire a 4 out of 10, while they gave Ignite a 7 out of 10 as well. Ignite has easily won the task. Their reward is a visit to a race track where they will be able to drive some cars as fast as they want.

Mona blames her team’s approach. Howard blames Debra, and James seems to be thinking that way as well.

Sir Alan thought the message was pathetic. They approached the gay market, but they did it too subtly.

Mona says that Debra didn’t listen to her. Sir Alan’s response is that Mona does not seem to have too many ideas. She acknowledges that she was not happy with the concept, which stood in the way of her performing well.

Debra’s idea about lying about the leaflet was not received well, as it removed the trust they needed to work together.

Mona and James will be returning to the boardroom with Debra. Sir Alan says that, from his understanding, that’s the right decision because Howard did a lot. He felt that Howard had the ideas, which Debra suppressed. That said, it doesn’t sound like she got a lot of support from her team in Margate.

James calls Debra a nightmare to work with because she’s too aggressive. At least she’s a consistent bulldog, whereas Mona is a lot of hot and cold.

Debra says that the information she received was too limited. She takes responsibility for the posters, almost. The images weren’t good enough, nor was the information.

Sir Alan tells Mona she sits back too much, and he thinks that perhaps James falls into the same category as she does. He tells Debra she’s too loud and bossy.

Due to her lack of creativity, Mona has been fired. Sir Alan will keep his eyes on James. As for Debra, she seems to have escaped her poor performance unscathed.

Hell’s Kitchen Season 5 Winner

Hell’s Kitchen 5 Episode 14 was essentially a filler episode, with the only useful information we learned being who the teams are for tonight’s finale. Danny chose Ben, Giovanni, and Carol. Paula chose Andrea, LA, and Lacey. Tonight, either Danny Veltri or Paula Dasilva will be crowned the Hell’s Kitchen season 5 winner.

Danny didn’t get Lacey. He is very pleased. Paula, not so much. Saddling someone with Lacey is a hell of a handicap.

Carol is not happy being on Danny’s team. Yeah, he’s not happy to have you either. He just took you because he didn’t want Lacey. Carol would rather see Paula win.

Giovanni would rather be at home. He couldn’t care less. He’s still bitter that he wasn’t good enough to win.

Next we get a Lacey montage. Someone tell the producers she’s really not that interesting. She hates her team, knowing they hate her back.

Ben realizes it’s not about him. Well, he’s trying to realize it anyway. He plans to support Danny, who he feels is the underdog.

Lacey’s creme brulee is curdled. She’ll have to start that over.

Andrea refuses to let Paula down. Oh, I’m sure it’ll happen sooner or later.

Ramsay thinks Paula’s pasta is delicious. He is worried about her halibut being dry. That’s a danger zone. Andrea will have to cook that properly. The banana creme brulee is not creme brulee. She can’t serve that.

Danny’s duck needs to be cooked more in his duck salad. Ramsay likes the filet. The dessert is undercooked.

Paula’s restaurant, Sunergy, receives a good review from Chef Ramsay. He does not seem quite as impressed with Danny’s restaurant, Velvet Hammer, not to be confused with an adult video. What’s up with the fish on the wall?

Lacey realizes she could screw everything up. Ya think?

Danny’s staff is having good communication, which is something Danny made sure would happen. By comparison, Paula’s team is pretty silent.

Andrea overcooked a scallop, and Lacey put it on the plate and turned it over, apparently hoping to hide it from… someone.

Carol’s backed up on appetizers. Danny thinks Carol sucks.

Paula is waiting for Andrea to cook the halibut. She’s never done that before. It’s obviously overcooked, but she asks if it’s too dark anyway. Her next try needs a little longer.

Danny sends out his first entrees, while Andrea continues to struggle.

Giovanni’s monkfish sauce is way too salty. He still doesn’t care and just wants to go back home. Not doing himself any favors if he bombs on national TV.

Lacey’s all confused. She says that Paula’s menu is too complicated. Everybody is screaming at her from all directions, but she’s not getting anywhere. The entire team will try to bail her out.

Paula’s starting to find her way, two hours into the service.

Danny finishes getting out his food first, but Paula manages to finish off her service strong as well.

LA says that it’s a toss up. She thought Paula had it, but Danny rocked.

Chef Ramsay has made his decision, which he calls the most difficult one he’s had to make in Hell’s Kitchen.

Danny and Paula step up to their doors. Danny’s door opens, and he is the Hell’s Kitchen season 5 winner. At age 23, he proved to be the prodigy he said he was. Paula gave him a run for his money, performing consistently throughout the season. Ramsay says that Danny grew more than any other chef he’s ever seen, and he now has the talent and maturity to be a great head chef.

Hell’s Kitchen Season 6 has already been announced, and it’s coming in July.

Survivor: Tocantins Episode 13

Debbie tried to turn on Coach, which in turn resulted in her getting voted off in Survivor: Tocantins Episode 12.

JT tells Coach that Debbie was plotting against him. He thanks them for protecting him. Uh, they weren’t protecting you. At least Coach has finally realized he’s no longer in control of this game.

Coach says he’s struggling with asthma and back pain. This is Coach, though. It’s hard to tell when he’s telling a story. His lips are moving, so it’s a safe bet.

For the challenge, they will race through a maze and build a pole to raise a sandbag, while their feet are shackled. Reward is comfort: bed, shower, feast. JT takes the lead. Everybody follows him except Taj. Taj is incorrect as JT builds on his lead. Coach is attached to JT’s hip. JT is first through the maze with Coach right behind. Erinn, Stephen, and Taj appear to be out of it, but they complete the maze eventually. Now everybody is working on their pole. JT’s still got a lead. He grabs his sandbag and starts swinging. JT knocks over his first target of three, then his second, then his last. JT wins reward. No volunteers to go to Exile. Despite complaints about his ailments, Coach is being sent there. He plans to not eat or build a fire, probably because he’s incapable of doing so. Erinn looks forward to this being his excuse for losing immunity. Obviously, JT’s taking Stephen with him on reward. Will the girls finally realize how close these two are and form an alliance with their arch enemy?

Taj is unworried about JT and Stephen. She plans to go to the finals with them. Erinn also plans to go as far as she can with JT and Stephen.

JT and Stephen take a private plane to the governor’s retreat. After getting cleaned, they get a Brazilian barbeque with all they can eat. They’re convinced they will be in the final two. JT would like to take Coach to the final three with them, knowing nobody will vote for him. They discuss Erinn’s little speech at the end of the challenge, and say it makes them want to keep her less.

Coach returns from Exile with his cane. Taj would like to see some mental institution come pick him up. Although he said he was so happy without any nourishment, he immediately asks for some water.

The immunity challenge will be to balance between two walls with their bare feet on footholds. They cannot use their butts, backs, or hips. After 15 minutes, they move down to a smaller foothold. Everybody is still in it. After another 15 minutes, they drop to the final foothold. Erinn falls when moving down. Everybody else is still in, and they’ll go until one person is left standing. Stephen is next to fall. Taj follows him. JT would step down if Jeff gives him a steak and beer. Coach tells him he should step down, then, unless he’s planning to vote him out. Coach looked fine until Taj told him to not hurt his back any more. Now he’s intensely struggling. He falls at about 50 minutes, then collapses to the ground. JT wins immunity. Coach says that, if medical looks at his back, he won’t be there. Jeff doesn’t push the issue, knowing there’s an excellent chance Coach is trying to get an acting gig.

JT reassures Coach he’s safe and that they’ll get rid of Erinn. Stephen says he’s not so sure what he wants to do, regardless of what promises JT has made to Coach.

Erinn says she never feels secure. The rest of tribal council is Coach babbling endlessly. The jury goes to sleep.

With three votes, Coach has been voted out. You’ve been with him this long. I would have kept him in. That jury hates him. Let’s see if Erinn and Taj can come up with some way to take control of this game next time. They’ve sure had enough chances.
