Big Brother 9 Episode 14

Last night on Big Brother 9 Episode 13, after James brilliantly got his ex-partner Chelsia nominated, she won the veto, which pleased him because he thought his plan worked out perfectly. Until Ryan decided to target the Sharon/Josh/Chelsia/James alliance and nominated James in Chelsia’s place.

In addition to the live eviction, tonight we will see one previously evicted person return to the game. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this particular twist. In season 3, Amy returned to the game at a critical point, shaking up the power structure in the house. Then in Big Brother 6, Kaysar made his way back to the house, essentially wasting a week. As I said last week, none of the evicted people are particularly likeable, with the exception of Alex, who may perhaps be neither here nor there but at least isn’t hated.

Chelsia goes upstairs to yell at Ryan, pretending she has some power in the house or something.

Sharon tells Sheila the story about how Matt kissed her, giving Sheila the impression Sharon will do just about anything to win the game. Neither Natalie nor Sheila are happy with this information. They gave James their word he’s staying.

Natalie wants Matt to tell her who’s going to the end with him. Then they get into yet another argument about how they don’t get along any more.

Jacob, Jen & Parker, Alex & Amanda, and Allison are in their own individual sequester houses, waiting for the opportunity to be voted back into the house. Parker & Jen seem to be getting along, but Alex & Amanda still hate each other. Alex hopes to go back because he blames Amanda for their eviction. Allison wants to get revenge.

Julie reveals that America has chosen Alex to return to the house as expected. He will get in a box. The house will need to vote whether to keep the person who’s evicted this week or the person in the mystery box. This is certainly a much more interesting scenario than previous votes back into the house.

By a vote of 5-1, James has been evicted from the Big Brother house. However, like last week’s evictees, he’s being given a possible second chance. I don’t think he should get one myself. He overplayed and got caught. While he’s leaving, nobody gets up other than Chelsia, at his own request. He didn’t have any interest in saying goodbye to anybody else.

In the house, the houseguests hear the siren sound and are told what’s going to happen.

Ryan-Mystery
Chelsia-James
Matt-Mystery
Sheila-Mystery
Joshuah-James
Natalie-James
Adam-James
Sharon-James

By a vote of 5-3, James will be returning to the house. Dumb move by Natalie. While it doesn’t put her in any immediate danger, it puts a huge target on her alliance, notably her on again off again buddy Matty. The side that dominated last week better pray they win HOH this week.

By the setup out in the backyard, it’s obvious it’s an endurance competition. Houseguests will remain standing upright while holding chains in Big Brother Disco. They lift up the machine and start slowly spinning it. The last one remaining will be the new Head of Household. If you want to find out who wins HOH before Sunday’s show, check out the Big Brother 9 spoilers page, where the winner has been posted.

James tells Julie that he feels great being back around all the people who voted him out, a sure sign that it was stupid of them to vote him back in. Regardless of how the house may have been divided, though, James has learned that the only person he can trust is Chelsia. Julie tells him that three people voted against him coming back.

Jericho Season 2 Episode 5

A lot happened in Jericho Season 2 Episode 4, but it all was just leading up to the shootout at Stanley’s farm, where Mimi ended up on a stretcher and Bonnie ended up dead at the hands of John Getz from Ravenwood.

Jake tells his officers to gather men and make sure Ravenwood does not get near Mimi at the med center. He tells Beck, but Beck’s off to New Bern for the day, parting with a warning that Getz is off limits until then.

Getz has obtained the ledger he wanted, which he burns. What he failed to realize is that Mimi was in the house at the time of the shootout. Ravenwood head to the hospital, where they’re stopped by an armed Jake. Getz warns that if he kills him, Cheyenne will retaliate. Jake’s refusal to listen is enough to keep him outside, for now.

Heather’s told that there’s a bounty on her head by the resistance in New Bern.

Hawkins’ anonymous caller tells him that the highest levels of Cheyenne government is made of former J&R employees. He needs the bomb because it’s concrete proof.

Getz will receive backup within four hours. Rather than wait around, they start taking hostages, going to the homes of the men who are protecting the hospital. They take one guy’s wife, then go to Hawkins’ house and tell him Darcy’s one of the hostages inside. He knows better than to fall for it, so he starts kicking ass and taking names.

Mimi wakes up in the hospital, where Darcy tells her she’s going to be fine. Darcy doesn’t want to tell her the rest, though.

Heather gets a visit from some guys in New Bern, where they’re suffering because of tips she’s been giving Beck. They’re there to kill her, or at least they’re supposed to be. They have a better plan in mind, though. They want a trophy: Getz.

Stanley heads to the morgue to say one last goodbye to Bonnie, and he thanks her for saving Mimi’s life.

Hawkins has taken out three guys and has one of them with him when he arrives at the hospital to join the others.

Mimi tells them why the shooting happened. She says that, with access to the system, it may be possible to recreate the information. Hawkins calls his anonymous friend for assistance, telling him to help or else. Mimi suggests Trish may be able to help.

The Ravenwood hostage has escaped. It’s obvious he had help.

Mimi calls Trish at home to tell her what happened and ask for help. Hawkins gave her an e-mail address for a director at Ravenwood.

Hawkins and Jake track down the hostage and make him a hostage again. They all know Fred, the jumpy guy who turned rat in the last episode, is the traitor. They send him to cover the back door, and he calls Getz with this information.

Getz and his men fall for the bait the guys have planted at the hospital and go to Stanley’s farm, where they believe Mimi is hidden. Fred has had a change of heart now that he’s been busted and informs Jake that reinforcements are on their way. They find out reinforcements aren’t there to reinforce. The director of Ravenwood operations shows up with Trish. Getz is fired, and his men are redeployed.

While they’re shooting, they find out that they’re not the only ones after Getz. New Bern’s there, too, and they’re shooting as well. Jake wants to keep him alive and hand him over to Beck, but New Bern wants him dead. Stanley approaches the scene and settles the argument, killing Getz himself.

Despite fear that Beck will retaliate, they know there’s no turning back because he’s going to find out anyway. So they hang Getz’s body from a tree.

Big Brother 9 Episode 13

Ryan’s HOH win led to the guys to form an all male alliance in Big Brother 9 Episode 12. At James’ suggestion, his former partner Chelsia was nominated, alongside the group’s main target, Sharon.

Josh doesn’t care that Sharon has been nominated, since it at least means he’s safe. James is happy with his decision but doesn’t want to see his partner go.

Sharon realizes the obvious: it’s guys vs. girls.

Joshuah wants to carry through on his deal with Ryan, but the problem is he wants to get rid of Matt first.

James assures Chelsia she’s safe. It’d be easier to guarantee if he didn’t personally set her up to get nominated.

Natalie continues to get more sick of Matt, who tells her first thing she needs to worry about is not getting evicted next week. James and Josh sees an opportunity to approach Ryan and promise him safety to take Matt out of the game. Matt eventually apologizes to her, telling her they’re still partners. If he’s smart, he’ll make sure to keep her close because she will do whatever he wants. After he apologizes, she spills the plan and tells them James and Josh were involved. He tells Ryan. There goes the male alliance. Even though I knew this was doomed from the beginning, this is shorter lived than I would have anticipated.

As planned, Josh suggests to Ryan that Matt get nominated, in exchange for two weeks of immunity. Instead of just playing dumb, Ryan tells Josh that Matt knows about the plan thanks to Natalie. Of course, Josh runs back to the others and tells them that Natalie told. If he turns on Matt, this all doesn’t matter, but if he doesn’t turn, getting the house to hate Natalie doesn’t help him out much.

Ryan chooses Adam to play in the veto competition as houseguest’s choice, thereby making sure Matt doesn’t get picked.
Chelsia randomly chooses Sheila.
Sharon randomly chooses Joshuah.

The girls, James, and Josh have a meeting to agree to give Ryan two weeks of safety if he gets rid of Matt. This plan will give him two weeks of security. After which time he’d be all alone.

Chelsia knows better than to trust any of these people. She’s still fighting for herself, as opposed to this plan.

The veto challenge is a billiards game on a modified pool table. The furthest from the veto hole loses each round. Sheila is eliminated in the first round but still gets a prize, the power of veto. Too bad she knows the people after her will be able to take it. Sharon is next eliminated. She also gets a prize, a brand new motorcycle (if nothing else, it’s worth selling after the show). She trades it for the power of veto. Stupid because then someone else will just steal the veto from her. Josh is out in the next round. He gets a letter from home and keeps it. Adam is eliminated next and gets $10,000. He trades it for the motorcycle. Sheila’s happy with this decision and feels less venemously toward Adam now. Chelsia is eliminated next but wins the slop pass, which she trades for the power of veto. Ryan is the last person standing, and he gets a unitard as his prize, which he can wear for one full week. He opts to trade this for Sheila’s $10,000, rather than the veto. Good news for Chelsia. Bad news for Sheila. Some definite potential repercussions for Ryan, as he’s running a risk this will leave a bad taste in people’s mouths.

Sheila’s pissed off that Ryan took the money, and she’s not one to let it go unknown. Chelsia warns that the single mom card will be taken badly by others. So Sheila gets pissed off at her, too. With that in mind, she wants to solidify a group to target Josh/James/Chelsia/Sharon. She tells Ryan she’s not mad at him. She’s got new targets in mind.

Chelsia removes herself from the block. Ryan needs to find a replacement nominee. His choice: James, who just simply overplayed. This turns out to be a shock to the house, but Matt’s thrilled and tells them it’s on. Ryan wants them to know he’s nobody’s bitch. Josh still thinks of himself as a genius.

Big Brother 9 Spoilers

Beauty and the Geek 5 Episode 1

In an effort to make this a ridiculously crazy reality TV night (Fox has American Idol 7, NBC has The Biggest Loser: Couples, and CBS has Big Brother 9… and if you explore further, you’ll find Reality Chat on TV Guide, America’s Next Top Model on VH1, High School Reunion on TV Land, True Life on MTV, Deal or No Deal on CNBC, America’s Funniest Home Videos on ABC Family, and Real Housewives on Bravo), The CW is jumping into the ring with the premiere of Beauty and the Geek 5. Check out the Beauty and the Geek 5 cast, which unlike last season does not include a male beauty and female geek since nobody liked that twist the first time.

This season, it’s not beauty and the geek. It’s beauty vs. the geek. What the point of that is I’m not real clear.

Greg is a gay geek (the clothing designer part in his bio gave that away). Joe tells us sex is overrated. Tommy collects sweater vests. Jim looks like he just stepped off a VW bus in the 70s.

Amber says she’s a 20. Someone slap her. Tara hits up daddy for money whenever she needs it. Kristina isn’t stupid… she just… doesn’t know stuff. Tiffany says her IQ is a little below average, probably around 200.

Amber lets Greg sleep in her room. All of the girls immediately like him. He’s afraid he doesn’t fit in with either group.

The girls get together to plot strategy. Amber doesn’t want to hear anything about it, choosing instead to get in her bathing suit and sit on Joe’s lap. She makes an alliance with him, even if she can’t remember his name afterward.

The challenge is about numbers. It’s about getting phone numbers from strangers. They’ll go to a Hollywood club full of hot guys and girls. To level the playing field, the girls are getting a makeunder, from fat to bad skin to bad clothes. Even still, it’s unfair because the girls may not be as pretty as usual, but they’ve got a lot more self confidence and people skills.

The task is sped through, with no clear indication of who did how well, just that everybody struggled to an extent. Mike will call all the numbers and make sure they’re actually real.

The real drama begins after the challenge. Randi and Amber try to prove they’re the most obnoxious of the group, getting into a screaming match. It’s a pretty close race.

The beauties won the challenge. Wow. Shocker. I hope all the challenges aren’t this lopsided, but I don’t see how they can make them much fairer. As with last year’s twist, it’s obvious from the first night it’s a stupid idea.

Having won the challenge, the girls will have to send 5 geeks to the elimination room. They want to come up with the four guys who they most don’t want to see have a chance of going home. Since he has a girlfriend already, Chris is sent to the elimination room. Tommy is as well, which doesn’t surprise me because he looks like the guy who’s the ringer of the group. Jonathan and Joe are more social than the others. John is the last one sent to the elimination room. That leaves Greg, Jason, Jim, and Matt as safe.

They’ll all get questions. The first person to answer right stays. If they answer wrong, they’re out. Tommy is safe from elimination, having correctly recalled a girl’s phone number from a video clue. Chris knows how to speak like he’s on AOL, saving himself. Jonathan is the next one safe. Joe saves himself by knowing that you can get someone’s attention with your eyebrows. John has been eliminated. Lame quiz format accompanies the lame twist.

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 22

Jessi followed in her mother’s footsteps in Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 21, hacking into the system for test answers and posting them online for everybody to see. Kyle managed to find a way to save the day using his computer skills, which he then followed up by using them to find Sarah at a diner, waiting to help save Jessi from Taylor.

Sarah tells Kyle that Taylor wants to get back into Latnok’s good graces, even if it harms Jessi in the process. She says he’s just like the rest of Latnok: they’re just scientists looking for a means to an end.

Everybody is going crazy over the prom. Declan’s spent $1900 so far (more than half for the hotel suite). He tells Kyle he’s screwed without cash. Lori hates prom. Andy hopes Josh will take her to prom, regardless of the fact that they’re not old enough to get into it. Amanda plans to spend sleepless nights on the planning committee, but she’s still got time to help Josh sneak into the prom.

Jessi’s got a meeting with Latnok. She doesn’t want to hear what Kyle has to say, but maybe she’ll want to listen to Sarah.

Kyle tells Jessi he’ll make sure she meets with Sarah. He knows this isn’t entirely accurate.

Josh has a plan to get to prom. It starts by winning (with Jessi’s assistance) a $50 gift certificate that he’s going to sell. He intends to win every radio contest he can, whether it’s in a language he can speak or not.

Lori gets into an argument with Mark, who quits as the DJ for the prom. To make matters worse, the caterer has been shut down by the health department, and they can’t get the deposit back.

Kyle taps into his holographic memory to describe all the cars in the lot to Declan, who can tell what people look like based on the car they drive. By process of elimination, they figure out which car is Sarah’s. He tracks her down by way of traffic cameras. She’s not happy he told Jessi she’s still alive, and she says she doesn’t want to be a mother. With a little convincing, Kyle gets her to agree to stop by his house to meet Jessi.

Amanda has come up with a plan to help Josh. A date swap. She’s taking Josh, and Kyle’s taking Andy.

When Lori gets home, still hating prom, Jessi views it as an opportunity to follow her upstairs to her room to ask questions. This leads to a bonding experience between the two, and Lori agrees to cut Jessi’s hair so it’s shorter like Sarah’s. Lori says she doesn’t want to be angry with her any more.

Hillary comes up with a caterer, not listening to the part about not having any money. When Josh finds Amanda upset in the kitchen about this, he’s got the cash to help thanks to his radio show contest spree, even if it doesn’t leave much left after that.

Taylor comes to the house to force Jessi to go with him to the meeting. The family is there to protect her from him when he insists she owes him.

Josh has enough left for prom tickets, a sky blue rayon suit, and a scoop of ice cream. Andy tells him she’s got it covered and that she’s happy just to be with him.

Thanks to the haircut, of all things, Lori has managed to write a less gloomy song, which is enough to impress Mark to get him to be the DJ again. And he tells her the story of how he never went to prom since he was 15 as a senior.

Jessi’s sitting on the porch, and after 3 hours and 52 minutes, she realizes Sarah isn’t going to show up, so she leaves, but she says it’s not back to Taylor. Nicole and Stephen tell the kids they want Jessi to stay there until they can find some place more permanent.

Kyle knows he can find Jessi at the diner, where he goes to break the news to her. The fact that her abilities are tied to her emotions causes the restaurant to shake and lights to flash. Sarah shows up… just before Jessi collapses and her heart stops.

Kyle knows he’s her only hope. He creates an even bigger energy surge to save her.

Declan ultimately plans to go to the prom with Lori, who had decided she’s going stag.

Foss gives Taylor a one way ticket and tells him he doesn’t want to come back. Now that they’ve seen the tape of what happened at the diner, Latnok wants to get their hands on Kyle.

Big Brother 9 Episode 12

The houseguests were split up in Big Brother 9 Episode 11, and for some reason they actually seemed surprised by the twist, despite the fact that Jen and Ryan’s original challenge was to get to the end together. Thanks to the twist, only Allison went home, thus saving Ryan, who went on to win HOH.

Adam & Sheila are both happy to get rid of their partners. Matt’s happy to get rid of his clingy partner as well, which he doesn’t attempt to hide from Natalie. She’s not taking the hint that he doesn’t want her in his bed any more. The creepy stalker music is a nice touch.

Joshuah & Sharon, who went on a power trip last week like most of the HOH’s have, couldn’t be more unhappy to see Ryan win HOH.

James is worried that Chelsia will change now that they’re no longer partners.

Joshuah apologizes to God for being an asshat to people and asks for help winning the game and dieting.

Ryan really does miss Jen (since he hasn’t seen the footage of the show yet), so he’s happy to see the picture of her in his HOH room.

Sheila, who for no apparent reason decided she hated Allison, now is crying that she’s gone.

James still wants to cuddle with Chelsia at night, but says she doesn’t think it’s a smart idea. They still have a plan to stick together as a duo, though, unlike half the teams.

Matt and Ryan want to get an all male alliance going. They take Adam onboard, but they don’t completely include James, who doesn’t trust them either anyway. Josh’s name isn’t even brought up, though. Regardless of who the plan does or does not include, an all male alliance has never worked. Ever. It’s just a question of how long it takes to implode and who the first casualty is.

Natalie learns that there are only 26 letters in the alphabet because the and in “Y and Z” doesn’t count.

The teams must choose blue and red bandanas for the competition. Knowing that Matt’s favorite color is blue, Natalie makes sure she grabs blue, so she’s the only girl on his otherwise all male team. It’s James, Matt, Adam, and Natalie against Sheila, Sharon, Josh, and Chelsia. Teams will swim through chocolate pools to grab letters and spell words (Natalie’s team is worried). The winning team will get whatever food they spell correctly. Sheila, who blamed Adam for their constant failures, continues her losing streak without him, allowing the other team to get a huge lead. When the other team loses the chalk, though, that big lead is almost erased. The red team gets 11 food items. The blue team wins with 12 correctly spelled words, obtaining a diet of 12 food items, but at least it beats slop (let’s hope nobody passes out).

Josh, who put Ryan on the block last week, promises to not put him on the block (again) if he wins HOH. He’s completely fine with Sharon going on the block, which may not be the wisest move, but better her than him.

The boys came up with the plan to put up Sharon and Sheila. Rather than simply agreeing with this plan, James of all people talks them out of it, suggesting Chelsia instead of Sheila. He’s trying to prove he’s willing to do anything, but this is a hell of a risk to take.

Nominations
Adam-Safe
Natalie-Safe
James-Safe
Matt-Safe
Sheila-Safe
Joshuah-Safe

As planned, Sharon and Chelsia have been nominated for eviction.

Big Brother 9 Spoilers

The Celebrity Apprentice Episode 10

Carol Alt reluctantly wore many hats in The Celebrity Apprentice Episode 9, leading her team to victory. On the other side, Tito Ortiz had difficulty wearing any hats, instead having his hat stolen by Stephen Baldwin, and with that in mind, Tito was sent packing.

Piers Morgan is instigating again, telling Trace Adkins he knifed Tito in the back.

This will be an art task. Omarosa is the project manager for Empresario, trying to prove something since she was fired on this task last time. Piers steps up for Hydra, as he wants to wipe the floor with Omarosa.

Trace doesn’t “get” art. Stephen and Omarosa are afraid of Piers going for the most expensive artist and know he has the contacts to sell whatever he wants.

Hydra finds out that there’s a new media artist whose paintings they can sell multiple times per painting. They don’t believe the other team will figure that out, and they’re right.

The other team opts for cheap paintings with higher numbers that they expect to be able to boost the price on.

As expected, Piers has contacts already lined up. He wants to humiliate Omarosa. Over on the other side, Baldwin’s the most likely one to have the connections, though Omarosa pulls him off that task and instead makes him research online. Then she says she wants him to do research and make calls at the same time, an apparent effort to have a fall guy.

Empresario gets the front room, while Hydra gets the room behind them, so guests must pass through Empresario to get to Hydra.

Piers accuses Stephen of eavesdropping and cheating. He says he doesn’t mind it. He just wants him to admit it.

Trace and Stephen admit they don’t know anything about art. They’re not so sure Omarosa knows anything either.

One of Baldwin’s contacts shows up, Lennox Lewis sees him left alone, and Carol manages to sell art to him. Then Piers’ connections start to show up, and they of course buy from him.

With 15 minutes left, Stephen is chatting about places to eat.

Hydra is virtually sold out, and Piers wants to see Omarosa head to the Brooklyn Bridge and drown herself.

When they get to the boardroom, it’s made even more clear that it’s a blowout. I wasn’t quite expecting the end result to be this bad, though. It’s $164,000 to $7,000. Holy hell.

Piers says it’s personal and that Omarosa doesn’t belong there. He asks that, since it’s such a big blowout, he wants two people fired and Empresario killed off. He also doesn’t like the use of the word loss. He prefers catastrophe of biblical proportions. When he leaves the room, he asks Trump to make it nasty.

Omarosa says that Stephen’s never brought in money on any task. She doesn’t want Trump to fire two people, though. At least she realizes that she didn’t have the ammunition to back up the conflict she had with Piers. She hasn’t learned, though. Now she says she thinks he’s in the closet. Trump makes the offer for Piers to come back to the boardroom and defend himself.

When he walks in the room, Piers kisses Trace on the cheek and calls him a beautiful cowboy. Then he heads back. Everybody else thinks it’s hilarious, including Omarosa, though Trace isn’t pleased.

Stephen takes the moral highground as usual, going on about honesty and religion and whatnot.

Trump asks Trace if Stephen should be fired over Omarosa. His ultimate answer is that he’s disappointed in himself.

The Trumps suggest Omarosa looks defeated, and she is. Finally, Omarosa is fired. As much as I had hoped for Omarosa to be fired pretty much every episode, I couldn’t have asked for a more satisfying demise for her. A fitting end to a battle with Piers that she shouldn’t have carried so far in the first place.

Survivor: Micronesia Episode 5

The favorites continued to struggle for power within their own tribe in Survivor: Micronesia Episode 4, but in the end, it didn’t end up mattering because they won immunity, sending the fans back to tribal council. Rather than booting off the weakest link, the fans turned on Mikey because the weaker members of the group plus Joel considered him a threat. Over on exile island, Ozzy managed to find the hidden idol, lamely replacing it with a fake.

Jason’s disappointed that his tribe didn’t make the right decision, keeping Chet in the game. Chet’s plan is to get rid of Jason next. At what point does their strategy resemble actual… strategy? At this point it’s all about living to fight lose another day.

The favorites are getting ready to kill a chicken. The guys find this all quite amusing, while the girls scream.

Ozzy hides his idol, although I really don’t know why he hides it in a random place rather than keeping it within his possessions (people will snoop in that case, but they probably won’t take it). He also runs the risk of some twist screwing him over, or of Jeff Probst merely waking them up at 5am one morning and telling them they have 5 minutes to pack. He doesn’t want to show anybody the idol, but he tells James, Parvati, and Amanda, who should know from experience better than to let the idol go to your head.

Jeff says the words you probably don’t want to her pre-merger: “Drop your buffs.” Ozzy and Natalie have been randomly selected as the captains. Here’s the bad news. I actually have to learn the names of the tribes. At least I learned there’s somebody named Natalie in this game, though.

The captains get to choose the first person from the opposite tribe, and the tribes keep going back and forth, with each person who was previously picked getting to make the next choice (favorites choose fans and vice versa).

Malakal: Ozzy, Amanda, Cirie, Ami, Joel (aka Troy), Erik, Tracy, and Chet

Airai: Jonathan, James, Parvati (aka Poverty), Eliza, Alexis, Natalie, Jason, and Kathy

Now it’s time for a challenge, which is for a feast. Nobody will be heading to exile. It’s a race through a maze. Teams will rotate as people trying to chase and those being chased. Joel and Erik score as chasers for Malakal. Eliza and Parvati score for Airai (Parvati busts up her lip). Ami and Amanda score for Malakal (Ami injures her leg). Jonathan and Alexis score for Airai (Jonathan injures his knee), so the score is tied at two. It’s sudden death. Parvati and Eliza are the first couple to avoid being captured, as they outrun Joel and Chet (Chet hits his head… Joel says he doesn’t care), winning reward for Airai.

Joel, who made the stupid decision of getting rid of Mikey, is still stuck with Chet. Ozzy’s not happy about it either. Chet tells us about how chickens peck the weakest one until they’re killed.

Eliza’s not happy when she arrives since the fans haven’t done a very good job with their home. James is thinking along those same lines.

Following his challenge injury, Jonathan is limping around. A stick went into his leg, making a puncture wound. The medics come in and stitch him up, but they warn that he may become infected.

Ozzy wants to drop Chet first. Joel prefers to get rid of Cirie first. Both know that somebody needs to flip.

Favorites are taking control over at Airai, making quick work of improving the camp.

Amanda grabs a 4 foot shark that’s stuck in the net, giving Malakal a good meal that should put them on equal footing with the other tribe.

The immunity challenge is a combination rock throwing/puzzle challenge. Tribes will first throw rocks to break tiles and free puzzle pieces. Ozzy takes a lead for Malakal, and Tracy makes it two. Jonathan gets one for Airai. Erik takes out the fourth for Malakal, and they’re ready to work on the puzzle. Airai’s getting screwed by an apparently poorly designed challenge. They keep hitting the tiles, but they’re not breaking (Probst tells us that James, the biggest Survivor ever, isn’t throwing hard enough). They do finally get all their puzzle pieces, though, and despite the slow start, Airai is the first to solve the puzzle and wins immunity.

Joel and Erik don’t want to keep Chet around, whether they give up the numbers or not, simply because he’s going to make them keep losing. Joel’s in line with the Chet then Cirie then Tracy plan.

The concept of getting rid of the weak is a problem for Cirie because she knows she’s useless to the tribe as well. She plots with Tracy and Chet to get rid of Joel, then she pitches the idea to Ozzy and Amanda. Joel is dangerous in the longer term, but it’s way too early for playing with that thinking.

Wow. I expected this type of stupidity from the fans, but I’m surprised the favorites fell for it. Granted, by favorites, we are talking about the likes of Ozzy, who had 0 strategy last time.
