The Apprentice 6: Los Angeles – Episode 3 Recap

January 21st, 2007 – The inevitable has happened, I am officially hooked. I knew after the first two episodes that I’d get hooked on The Apprentice 6: LA, and sure enough, I’m hooked.

It’s much easier to get into a reality TV series when you like a lot of the competitors, or at the very least are entertained by them, and thus far the Apprentice competitors have delivered and kept me entertained. And, as sad as it is, I’m really liking the one team lives in luxury while the other camps out twist, it adds an entirely new dynamic to the show.

Britney Spears is the new Dayna Carvey?

I’m a few days behind on this one, to say the least, but I still had to post about it anyways ’cause I get such a kick out of the comparison.

On January 17th, the folks over at the US Weekly blog threw this picture up, no text, no nothing, just the picture and a title: “Hollywood Look-Alike: Britney Spears and Garth From Wayne’s World”

Britney Spears has certainly been looking pretty rough lately, and when she does make an attempt at looking good, it’s so blazingly obvious that she had to put far to much effort into it. Sure, she’s a good ‘ole southern girl, or so she says, but she could at least put a little effort into looking decent. Britney used to look fantastic, but things have sure changed, and at the worse time possible. With a custody battle between her and 2nd former husband Kevin “K-FED” Federline looming, she’s going to have to make some big changes to convince any judge that she deserves custody.

American Idol 6: Comedy or Tragedy?

Though the huge ratings received by the first 2 episode of American Idol 6 would have you believe the popularity of the show hasn’t faded, the reviews you can find all over the web would have you thinking otherwise.

The general consensus across reality TV, TV and really any blog or website you can find that writes about American Idol 6, is that thinks aren’t off to a very good start, yet we still watch it. The judges have been even harsher than usual, almost coming across as cruel at some points, and the producers of the show are playing up the cruel and sadder side of the show much more than they need to.

The fist episode alone started off with a contestant who thought she could sing well getting torn a new one by the judges, which isn’t unusual in and of itself. The part, however, that got on quite a few peoples nerves, was how they focused on the sobbing contestant and followed her outside the audition room to watch her cry and whimper to her family. Talk about starting the season off on a low note!

Amazing Race 11 All-Stars: Teams and Details Revealed!

The rumors have been flying for quite sometime and now everything we already knew has been confirmed! CBS has decided to make it’s 12th season of the Amazing Race an All-Stars edition!

The Amazing Race 11 All-Stars will feature 11 teams from 7 previous seasons, one of which is made up of two separate members from two separate teams.

The Emmy winning reality TV series will return on Sunday, February 18th to it’s usual 8:00pm time slot and will see the teams travel some 45,000 miles, covering 5 continents in only 28 days. This season will be unlike any other as teams will be forced to endure extreme temperatures and weather conditions, battling some of the most extreme heats in the world as they brave the bitter cold surrounding Antartica and fight the fierce heat in the deserts of Chile. The Amazing Race 11 All-Stars will be sure to impress!

Heroes Countdown: 6 Days and 6 Spoilers

Closer and closer we draw to the return of NBC’s smash hit TV series, Heroes! There are only six short days left before Heroes returns from it’s winter vacation and personally, I can’t wait!

Since Heroes went on vacation many of the die hard fans, like myself, have been scowering the depths of the internet for the slightest bit of information about the TV series, some finding more success than others. So, in preparation for Monday, January 22nd’s return episode, episode 12 entitled “Godsend”, let’s recap some things we learned and can expect to see:

American Idol 6: Let The Madness Begin!

Well, the faithful day has come! Tonight is part 1 of the 2-hour season premier of American Idol 6! As usual, you can expect every other network to run away screaming as the monolith that is American Idol 6 touches down. Year after year the show consistently beats out any and every other show it has had to match time slots with. Most networks will no longer even attempt to take down the American Idol franchise and choose rather to move their top shows to other days and times.

Survivor Fiji: Cast and Details Revealed!

It wasn’t long ago that Survivor Cook Islands came to an end, crowning Yul Kwon the winner, and now we can expect another season of Survivor in less than a month.

CBS has officially announced that Survivor Fiji will air on February 8th! Of the 19 contestants, 10 are from California, 8 of which are from Los Angeles.

CBS has also revealed that the first three days will see everyone working together as a single tribe that will start off with ample resources. On day three the group will split off into two tribes to kick things into gear.

Keep in my, there will be a number of twists to this season, just like any other. Some of the twists we already know about are that one team will live in the lap of luxury, while another will be forced to live with next to nothing, and there will be not only 1, but 2 hidden immunity idols. There will also be another unique twist when it comes to how the tribes are separated, though the full details of that twist have yet to be revealed.

The Apprentice 6: LA – Episode 2 Elimination

Because I’m both lazy and tired, I won’t be posting a recap of The Apprentice 6: LA episode 2 tonight. I do, however, have my trusty list of notes which I will convert into a full episode recap tomorrow.

So, to tie you dedicated Apprentice 6: Los Angeles fans over for another day, I’ll run down a few of the key points from tonight’s episode and fill you in on who was fired by the Donald.

Both Frank and Heidi’s teams get their new names: Arrow Corporation and Kinetic Corporation. Not bad, there’s been better and there has certainly been worse.
The challenge involves a swimsuit fashion show for clothing buyers on the beach. Some of the swimsuits were pretty nice, unfortunately most of the guys sucked, especially one that would be worn by maybe 1% of the population.
Heidi stays as the Project Manager for Kinetic Corp. while Nicole steps up to the PM spot for Arrow Corp.
The winning teams pays Hugh Heffner and the Playboy mansion a visit.
The boardroom gets heated, but, in the end, the right decision is made and the person who was most at fault was fired.
