Survivor: Caramoan Episode 7

Following a tribe shuffle in Survivor: Caramoan Episode 6, Matt was eliminated.

Michael’s all alone without Matt, so now he wants to work with the Favorites at the merge. Corinne is the most willing to jump at the chance of partnering with him. Phillip wants to get rid of her next, but Cochran steps in to prevent him from doing anything rash. So who’s going to prevent her from going after him?

Phil is convinced that he can win anything involving strength, easily outmatching the young bucks from the other side. To prove his strength, he challenges Cochran to an arm wrestling match.

For the reward challenge, they will be clipped to a rope and carry a 20 pound sand bag. They will run around a course in knee high water, and the first tribe to catch the other tribe wins a feast of sweets and coffee. Brenda sits out for Gota. Bikal puts Phillip in the front at his insistence, while Gota puts who Jeff calls their fittest guy (Erik is fitter than Malcolm, Reynold, and Eddie?) in that position. Phillip tires very quickly, and his own team starts to pass him, let alone the other team. Dawn is the first to drop and hand her 20 pounds to Corinne. Cochran and Julia drop next. Andrea’s the first to fall for Gota. Despite his sucking, Phil refuses to bail, and his fall is the last straw.

When they get back, Phillip starts talking about going to Tribal Council tonight. Oh, wait, this was a reward challenge?

Cochran would say that Julia has a vanilla personality, but he doesn’t want to offend the flavor vanilla.

Malcolm is concerned that the four young guys will be the first targets when the merge comes, so he approaches Reynold to try to form an alliance. Reynold tells him he has an idol. So does Malcolm, but he’s not going to share that information.

Phillip is about the only person willing to keep Julia around, or at least he was until she told Dawn she’s working with him, a conversation Dawn repeats to him.

At the immunity challenge, three members of each tribe will paddle into the ocean to dive and retrieve a statue. Then three other tribe members will use a grappling hook to retrieve keys to raise their statue. Sherri sits out for Gota. Gota gets off to an early lead, but they row off course and let the other tribe pass them. The diving should easily restore their lead, and it does. Phillip’s keeping the ring tossing interesting, but Reynold manages to retain the lead. Gota wins immunity. This is even more predictable than when the pathetic Fans tribe was still intact.

When they return to camp, Phillip tells Cochran that he threw the challenge, which they were going to lose based on the performance of the first set of three people no matter what.

The other three tribe members want to split the votes, but Corinne doesn’t want to vote against Michael going into the merge. They are not going to put her interests above their own rational logic that they have the numbers and can afford to split the votes just in case there is an idol. Because of this, Phillip wants to flip the plan and vote out Michael instead. Keeping Julia doesn’t seem like it would help or harm anybody, but getting rid of Michael would throw a wrench into Corinne’s plans.

All Star Celebrity Apprentice Episode 4

La Toya Jackson fell on the sword in All Star Celebrity Apprentice Episode 3, allowing the Omarosa train wreck to continue, with nobody being more surprised than Omarosa.

We start again with Gary complaining about being labeled the weakest link.

Omarosa was shocked that La Toya did not pick her, but that aside, she learned that she can’t trust Claudia.

Their task is an interactive marketing campaign using a glass truck to promote Farouk Systems’ two biggest brands, Chi and Biosilk. They will be judged on three criteria: creativity, brand messaging, and overall experience.

Arsenio Hall and Don, Jr. are the advisors for this week.

Both teams are completely confused about who Farouk is and what a glass truck is. Omarosa names Claudia as her team’s project manager, and Marilu steps forward into a project that she hopes to figure out what it is eventually.

Trump will give $20,000 to the winning project manager, and Farouk will add $30,000 to that, plus $1 per like on Facebook up to an additional $50,000.

Lil Jon won a Farouk task in his season. Because of that, he wants to stress America in their campaign.

Dennis suggests they give makeovers to homeless women and drag queens. I’m pretty sure this idea will not be chosen, not even a little.

Marilu was a judge for Miss USA, and she wants to invite some of the contestants come down to the event. While she’s on the phone, Stephen wants her to have two conversations at once rather than focusing on the person on the other line.

Claudia’s team is going to rap as a brainstorming activity. Except for Dennis. During this process, they come up with their slogan. Brande says Chi wants you, and Lil Jon decides to wear an Uncle Sam costume.

Marilu’s concept is to put two hairstylists inside the truck so they can do quick makeovers. Stephen tries to create the slogan, live life luscious, but Trace doesn’t like it. His proposal, which the team likes, is experience silk.

Like Marilu, Claudia is hoping to score someone from Miss USA. As a former Miss Rhode Island, she wants to get the recent Miss Rhode Island winner. Unlike the other team, they plan to use the truck as a place to take photos. Omarosa is unimpressed, but she will be saving her input for the boardroom.

Omarosa and Dennis have been sent shopping for props. Mostly, they use it as a time to have fun. They return after 4 hours carrying everything they have bought in their hands, a total of 1 item per hour. Most of the things on their list are missing. Meanwhile, Marilu sends Trace and Lisa to babysit Gary while he goes shopping.

For all his interrupting earlier while Marilu was on the phone, Stephen actually was making an important point. She needs to speak to his publicist, Matt Rich, who also has ties to Miss USA. When they connect, she asks to make sure that she gets the Miss USA people, not the other team. By the time Claudia is able to speak to someone, it’s too late.

Their fall back plan is celebrity look alikes with terrible hair. They want to get Donald Trump, but the only Trump impersonator in New York died yesterday, so they will be settling for Joan Rivers instead.

Marilu’s team is using their celebrity well. Gary is a walking sitcom, Trace climbs on top of the truck with his guitar, and Penn juggles fire.

Claudia’s team has created scannable posters that link to the product’s Facebook page, a smart way to tap into Farouk’s proposed Facebook tie in.

When the event begins, Omarosa immediately begins looking for reasons why her project manager should be fired. As usual.

Claudia tells Don, Jr. that Brande is her most valuable player, while Dennis and Omarosa have been largely useless… actually worse than useless. In 4 hours of shopping, they were unable to get half the items on the list, whereas Claudia, Brande, and Lil Jon finished the shopping that Dennis and Omarosa should have done just before the event began, and it only took them 40 minutes.

Claudia’s team is very supportive of her performance as project manager.

Claudia reiterates that Brande is the strongest player. She reluctantly says that Dennis was her weakest player, declining to mention Omarosa’s name in the boardroom. Her defense is that she’s been thinking about it a lot since she last saw Don, Jr. Yeah, a lot must have changed since this afternoon.

Marilu again names Gary as her weakest player. He supports her leadership, though Stephen thinks she sometimes gets distracted. She declines to mention who she’s bringing back to the boardroom, not without Trump giving her a reason why they may have lost, a fair statement.

Farouk loved the entertainment value in Marilu’s team and that there was a line waiting to get their hair done, the glass truck featured the product, and they had a lot of beauty pageant contestants, including Miss USA. The slogan was a little generic, which would fall on Trace.

Now Trump’s going to force her to give an answer. She would choose Gary and Trace.

For Claudia’s team, the executives loved Lil Jon, the slogan, and the American theme and branding. They didn’t like the use of the glass truck (their makeovers were done outside the truck).

As the executives were discussing it, the results became obvious. They said Marilu’s team won on creativity, while Claudia’s team won on branding, leaving it down to the guest experience and who brought more people and more excitement. Clearly, that would be the team that created a big spectacle, which would be Marilu’s team. She will receive at least $50,000 for her charity, Alzheimer’s Association.

Arsenio points out another reason for the loss, which we have seen once before this season. Farouk wants his product to be the star, which may be a problem when celebrities are featured so prominently in the marketing materials.

Omarosa did point out that she wanted to move everything into the truck. Of course, she waited until 5 minutes before they started before doing that.

Claudia is asked to bring two people back with her. Dennis offers up his own name, and Lil Jon will the second pick. Really? This show is getting stupid. No wonder they’re shrinking it to an hour next week. Let’s stop protecting Omarosa already. Trump tells her bringing Lil Jon back is stupid and ridiculous.

No matter how ridiculous her picks, Claudia’s strategy here is clear. She can deny it all she wants, but she’s afraid of Omarosa. She would rather join together with Lil Jon and tag team against Dennis as opposed to fighting two people on her own.

In defending her choice to Trump, she says that Lil Jon is the marketing genius, so he needs to be blamed since they lost. Of course, they won on brand messaging, so this is immediately dismissed.

There’s no chance of Lil Jon going home. The only choice is between the other two. If not for her boardroom choices, I’d say Claudia is safe, but she deserves to be fired now. Trump acknowledges, though, that it doesn’t matter whether Omarosa came back or not because he was not going to fire her anyway. Claudia has been fired.

The Amazing Race 22 Episode 6

Chuck & Wynona stayed in the race in spite of themselves in The Amazing Race 22 Episode 5, as Dave & Connor had to bow out of the race due to Dave’s injury.

Between a song about the glory of communism and footage of a plane downed during the war, it seems CBS managed to offend some easily offended people, so we begin the night with an apology. If you don’t want what can be a harsh reality of a tour around the world, watch something else, as there will not always be sunshine and smiles.

Teams depart in the order in which they arrived.

First: Pam & Winnie – 10:40PM
Second: Max & Katie – 11:34PM
Third: Mona & Beth – 11:37PM
Fourth: Bates & Anthony – 11:39PM
Fifth: Caroline & Jennifer – 11:46PM
Sixth: Joey & Meghan – 12:47AM
Seventh: Chuck & Wynona – 3:26AM

Teams will now fly more than 6000 miles to Maun, Botswana. As remote a destination as this is, all teams will obviously be on the same flight.

Upon arrival, teams sign up for one of three charter flights.

9:00AM – Caroline & Jennifer, Bates & Anthony
9:15AM – Max & Katie, Joey & Meghan
9:30AM – Mona & Beth, Chuck & Wynona, Pam & Winnie

The hockey players get on the plane with their country girl crushes, who they have apparently decided now are no longer bitches. Max & Katie would rather be on the plane with somebody else other than Meghan & Joey, anybody else. Chuck is happy to be flying over the safari where the animated film The Lion King was made.

The road block gives teams the opportunity to dig a poisonous scorpion out of the ground, with the guidance of the local bushmen, hopefully without being eaten by a lion.

Road block (in order of arrival): Bates, Caroline, Joey, Max, Beth, Wynona, Pam

Max is the only one smart enough to have a glove with him, but ultimately it doesn’t matter because the locals do the hard part of calming the scorpions by putting them in their mouths.

The detour is a choice between fire or fowl. In fire, teams must make fire using two sticks, zebra manure, and grass. In fowl, teams must build, set, and trigger a guinea fowl trap.

Fire: Bates & Anthony
Fowl: Pam & Winnie, Chuck & Wynona, Caroline & Jennifer (switched from fire), Joey & Meghan (switched from fire), Mona & Beth (switched from fire), Max & Katie (switched from fire)

The fowl task seems simpler, though almost nobody does it. At least you can make measurable progress on this task, whereas the fire task has the potential to be a frustrating exercise in futility. This is the opportunity Chuck & Wynona needed to pull themselves out of last place for a change. Bates & Anthony are able to make fire, but everybody else ends up switching. Seeing everybody else leave, Katie refuses to do the same, but she finally agrees to switch… too late.

The pit stop for this leg of the race is Meno a Kwena Safari Camp.

First: Bates & Anthony (win a trip to Thailand)
Second: Pam & Winnie
Third: Chuck & Wynona
Fourth: Joey & Meghan
Fifth: Caroline & Jennifer
Sixth: Mona & Beth
Non-eliminated: Max & Katie

As the last team to switch to the fowl detour, Max & Katie are the last team to arrive, but they are saved by a non-elimination leg.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of The Amazing Race 22 Episode 7, which airs Sunday at 8/7c on CBS.

Survivor: Caramoan Episode 6

In an effort to prove he’s a real man, Brandon threw perhaps the biggest temper tantrum in Survivor history in Survivor: Caramoan Episode 5, thus coming off as a bigger whiner than we already knew he was, in addition to being delusional and quite possibly crazy.

Now that the loon is out of their tribe and hopefully will never return to this show ever again, Phillip is on to the next step. Operation Thunder Dome has the goal of eliminating Corinne.

As one of the most pathetic tribes ever, one thing the Fans have been hoping for is a momentum shift. Perhaps Brandon’s departure is the start of that. Probst is about to throw his own wrench into that.

Time for a tribe shuffle. New tribes will be chosen by the color in an egg.

Orange (Gota): Eddie, Reynold, Andrea, Malcolm, Sherri, Erik, Brenda
Purple (Bikal): Corinne, Phillip, Michael, Matt, Cochran, Julia, Dawn

This new orange tribe seems pretty stacked for challenges. Even though they’re stuck with Sherri, not only do they have Eddie and Reynold, but now they have added Malcolm to the mix.

Each tribe has been given another bag of rice. So much for Brandon’s grand gesture.

Eddie and Reynold quickly throw Sherri under the bus to Erik and Malcolm. If they want to vote her out, they don’t care. In turn, Sherri goes to the girls and says she wants to get rid of Reynold.

In an unusual turn of events, the Favorites have a 4-3 advantage on both tribes, so they still control the game as long as they want, no matter which tribe loses challenges, as long as they don’t do anything stupid.

Within 30 minutes, Phillip is already trying to get Julia into his alliance. He’s the worst federal agent Corinne has ever met.

Andrea had a dream that Malcolm has an idol, which he denies.

At the immunity challenge, two members from each tribe will roll large crates, which will then be used to build a staircase once they are on the other side of the course. Gota gains an early advantage as Phil and Julia fall behind. Michael and Dawn struggle just as much. Eventually, Gota laps Bikal, and it gets worse when Phillip is made to go two times in a row. By the time Bikal finishes debating how they should arrange their stairs, Gota is almost done. Gota wins immunity. Exactly what we could have expected from these new tribes in a strength challenge.

Corinne is tiring of Phillip, but she’s willing to put up with him being annoying because she does not think he’s going to flip.

Despite his early attempt at getting Julia on his side, he tells Matt and Michael that they need to get rid of her. The strange thing here is that, of the three, she seems the most likely to buy what he’s selling.

Julia has decided that Dawn should be their target, though both of her tribe members don’t have any interest in voting for anyone other than her.

The only thing going for Julia is that Matt and Michael are close, and it may be a smart move to split them up. This is the scenario Cochran is pushing.

The good news for these Favorites is that they are on a tribe with the three Fans least likely to have a hidden immunity idol. For any Fan who does have an idol, all they need to do is play it, and they can get rid of any Favorite they want. It will make for a lot more interesting Tribal Council if Reynold ends up there.

The Biggest Loser Season 14 Winner

Gina fell below the red line in The Biggest Loser Season 14 Episode 11, Danni and Jeff made it safely into the finale, and Joe and Jackson are competing for America’s vote for the final slot.

America has chosen Jackson to join the final three.

The eliminated contestants will compete for the at home prize of $100,000.

Pam: 166 pounds (-71, 29.96%)
Nate: 260 pounds (-99, 27.58%)
Alex: 156 pounds (-84, 35.00%)
Francelina: 172 pounds (-95, 35.58%)
TC: 266 pounds (-110, 29.26%)
Michael: 308 pounds (-136, 30.63%)
Cate: 173 pounds (-64, 27.00%)
Lisa: 138 pounds (-108, 43.90%)
David: 205 pounds (-102, 33.22%)
Gina: 132 pounds (-113, 46.12%)
Joe: 217 pounds (-142, 40.38%)

With 46.12% lost, Gina is The Biggest Loser at home winner. I didn’t expect much from Gina during the first about 8 episodes and her many, many meltdowns, but nonetheless she consistently lost solid numbers and in the end seemed to have changed her negative mindset. The most surprising result of the lot is Lisa, who came in second after leaving in week 5.

Now it’s time to find out who the overall winner is.

Jackson: 190 pounds (-138, 42.07%)
Jeff: 207 pounds (-181, 46.65%)
Danni: 137 pounds (-121, 46.89%)

With a single pound separating first from second, The Biggest Loser season 14 winner is Danni Allen.

All Star Celebrity Apprentice Episode 3

After creating a logical based on the history of the show but ultimately not very good display in All Star Celebrity Apprentice Episode 2, Dee Snider accepted his fate as the second one to be fired.

The task is to write, direct, and act in a 5 minute Crystal Light mini soap opera. They will be judged on audience reaction, creativity, execution, and brand messaging.

Ivanka is back and will be joined in the boardroom by Arsenio Hall. La Toya Jackson and Stephen Baldwin are the project managers.

Claudia is worried that the teams are stacked. Their only hint of an actor is Brande, whose most compelling scenes involve slow motion running. Omarosa claims she’s an actress, too, and does not want to be relegated to the “menial” task of stage manager.

Penn’s the idea man on his team again, but this time the project manager listens to him. On the other side, Omarosa comes up with a housewives theme, then Lil Jon takes it from there.

La Toya doesn’t like or trust Omarosa (who does?), and it doesn’t take much before an argument starts between the two. Omarosa insists that she deserves respect, and La Toya retorts with the question: who is the most disrespectful person in the room? Omarosa says that La Toya needs to get control of her team, specifically Omarosa, and that she’ll get hers when they get in the boardroom. La Toya’s sure Omarosa caused her fiance’s heart attack.

Having been thrown out, Omarosa calls for direction on every single decision while shopping. For someone who loudly insisted on going shopping, she is deliberately unable to actually shop and would prefer to be a distraction, as usual.

Arsenio sees a tale of two teams. Stephen’s team is happy. The team with Omarosa is tense.

Having fought for this part at the expense of any semblance of team harmony, Omarosa takes a phone call in the middle of the rehearsal and says she has to leave. The next morning, still no Omarosa, leaving Dennis wondering: who is the mole? Claudia is left picking up the slack, and the team is left having fun.

As the director and project manager, Stephen wants to prove he’s in charge, to the point where nobody can get out a line without him interrupting them.

Right before the play begins, Omarosa shows up. She wants to see the play so that she has ammo for the boardroom, and if her team loses, she’s going to need it because right now, she doesn’t even have a friend in Jesus.

Lil Jon has come up with a way of getting the audience involved. They pass out cups, and each time the audience hears dun dun dun, they are supposed to take a sip of the product.

La Toya says Claudia and Brande were the stars. Omarosa, however, was not. Brande thought La Toya was great, and she agrees Omarosa is a problem.

Stephen says his whole team consists of all stars, but as usual, Gary is the weakest link. Marilu again reiterates that Gary is the weakest. Trace hops on the bandwagon. Lisa agrees.

The executives were really happy that product customization was central to the story and theme for Stephen’s team, and they loved Trace. However, they only used one of the two products, and there was confusion why their use of Susan Lucci was so limited.

For the other team, they liked the cheesy soap opera scene, liked the creativity (which also served as a burden), loved the use of both of the products, and they liked both Brande’s and Claudia’s performances. Everything felt rushed and chaotic, and the branding was not as well integrated.

Another week and more crying from Omarosa in the boardroom. Is this a new strategy for this year? As she debates this point with Arsenio, Claudia and Brande debate who should say maybe she shouldn’t be here if she has personal matters to attend to that are more important.

The executives have decided that Stephen’s team wins, and he wins $50,000 for his charity, Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. The audience favored their team 2:1.

Despite the win, Gary Busey is not celebrating because his whole team just got done saying again that he is the weakest.

Omarosa comes out swinging, saying that they lost because the project manager did not understand. Ivanka corrects her, saying they felt the brand was understood very well, but it was just not positioned correctly. If Omarosa wants to blame La Toya, she’s going to need to come up with a different story for doing so.

Lil Jon says that Dennis contributed less than the rest of the team, though his different perspective is helpful.

Omarosa has a warning for her team. They’re weak if they are uncomforable with her so far. This is going to go on for the rest of the season.

La Toya asks for Trump to give her some power. Can she, as the leader of her team, be granted the authority to fire someone? He quickly answers no.

La Toya picks Brande and Dennis to come back with her. Obviously, she doesn’t trust Trump to make the correct decision. Everybody is afraid that Trump won’t get rid of Omarosa, and this is the second time in a row in which she has not been brought back for that reason, despite the fact that she should be fired and never should have been invited back to the show again to begin with (nor should she have been back 5 years ago either).

Still, La Toya pretty much just ensured her own firing, and perhaps she wants it that way so that she can be removed from this toxic environment.

The Amazing Race 22 Episode 5

Refusing to use their express pass despite being in last place, Jessica & John were eliminated in The Amazing Race 22 Episode 4.

Teams depart in the order in which they arrived.

First: Dave & Connor – 5:01AM
Second: Pam & Winnie – 5:21AM
Third: Max & Katie – 5:25AM
Fourth: Caroline & Jennifer – 7:20AM
Fifth: Joey & Meghan – 9:06AM
Sixth: Mona & Beth – 9:12AM
Seventh: Bates & Anthony – 9:14AM
Eighth: Chuck & Wynona – 9:23AM

Teams must now fly north more than 2000 miles to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Dave’s orthopedic surgeon recommends surgery within 7 days, so they plan to be eliminated once they get to Vietnam.

At the travel agency, Max & Katie and Pam & Winnie agree to not U-turn each other. Their target is the two teams that remain of the alliance, Joey & Meghan and Mona & Beth.

The first three teams book a flight that arrives 3.5 hours earlier, but it doesn’t matter since their arrival time is 6PM, which means an hours of operation delay. What they do get, however, is valuable information.

Now that they have some time to get to know Max & Katie, Pam & Winnie have decided they hate them and apologize for everything they said about them. As the only teams to know that Dave & Connor are out, they keep this to themselves to fool the others into thinking someone is behind them. It’s here that they find out that Jessica & John are idiots, a fact that angers their allies when they (mostly Max) start laughing about it.

As the other teams show up the next morning, they all have the same train of thought: U-turn the alliance.

The road block requires teams to watch the performance of a patriotic song. After the performance, teams must memorize the quote that is revealed, then find it on a political poster. A song about the glory of communism and socialism. Great.

Road block: Jennifer, Meghan, Pam, Anthony, Mona, Katie, Chuck

Many of the sayings are close, but they must get it down to the letter in order to proceed. Pam is the only one to get it right on her first try. Everybody else must sit through another performance. Three more teams get it on the second try. Meghan actually is another person with the correct answer, but she does not want to leave her ally, so she sticks around another time. All remaining teams get out of there on their third and final try, including the two most likely to be U-turned.

After teams participate in a bamboo dance, the detour is a choice between make your move and make your meal. In make your move, they must create a giant chess game using human Chinese chess pieces, which they must put in the right position. In make your meal, they must make the national dish after shopping in a busy market.

Make your move: Pam & Winnie, Joey & Meghan, Bates & Anthony, Mona & Beth, Caroline & Jennifer
Make your meal: Max & Katie, Chuck & Wynona

Make your move presents more of a memory challenge involving Chinese symbols, while make your meal presents a bigger language barrier.

The blind double U-turn is at the B-52 memorial. Pam & Winnie U-turn Meghan & Joey. As the second team to arrive, Meghan & Joey U-turn Chuck & Wynona, a smart move seeing as that team is still struggling to figure out where the detour is and don’t have their chickens with them anyway. It’s pretty apparent who will come in last.

The pit stop for this leg of the race is the Vietnam National Museum of History.

First: Pam & Winnie (win a trip to Whistler)
Second: Max & Katie
Third: Mona & Beth
Fourth: Bates & Anthony
Fifth: Caroline & Jennifer
Sixth: Joey & Meghan
Non-eliminated: Chuck & Wynona

Having been a disaster since the bamboo dance, Chuck & Wynona are in last. But obviously they aren’t going to eliminate two teams in the same week. He promises to listen to her next week, something that did not happen this week.

Survivor: Caramoan Episode 5

Shortly after agreeing to not quit as long as his tribe brings him meals while he lays in the shelter all day, Shamar was pulled out of the game for medical reasons in Survivor: Caramoan Episode 4. Then the bleeding continued as the Fans lost as usual, but this time they finally made a sensible decision and voted out their weakest link, Laura.

Brandon says he’s missing his kids, so the tribe can vote him out the next time they go to Tribal Council. He apologizes for thinking about burning the shelter down and peeing in the beans and rice. Of course, with Brandon’s multiple personalities, it’s not long before he changes his mind and decides he no longer wants to quit.

At the reward challenge, two members of each tribe will hold on to a rope attached to a net while the other tribe shoots coconuts into the nets. Reward is a BBQ. Andrea, Dawn, and Erik sit out for the Favorites. Phillip and Brandon hold the nets against Michael and Matt. Sherri quickly proves to be useless. Brandon is the first one to let go. He is followed by Matt. Then Michael releases as Phillip holds on to win reward for the Favorites.

When they get back to camp, Sherri starts whining to the camera about how they just lost. And why did you lose? Because you yourself suck. It’s not because you got rid of Laura or because you kept Eddie. Regardless, the challenge would have gone from a loss to a blow out if they had two shooters as bad as Sherri.

I would argue Reynold pointlessly wasted his idol last week, but it doesn’t end up mattering. He finds a replacement. He reveals this to Eddie, but he won’t be telling the others.

Brandon’s angry that Phillip takes credit for winning the challenge after he gave up. He tells Phil to shut up and let someone else have an opinion. Gladly. He can walk away and let Brandon yell amongst himself. But he will be plotting to get rid of him.

As they deal with the fact their tribe is in general a failure and now rain for 48 hours straight, Matt asks for something good to happen to their tribe. A perfect segue to the continuing Brandon meltdown. Phillip wants to throw the challenge because he’s not happy living with somebody who is insane.

Too bad he won’t even make it there. Brandon tells him to let him give them a reason to vote him out. He dumps the rice and beans on the ground. This putz is the most ridiculous villain ever. I hope this is the last we see of him, ever.

I don’t think the immunity challenge really matters any more, but before we get to that there’s some more drama to deal with. Brandon tells the Fans that they might have a chance to get back into this and asks them to not let Phillip get to the end of the game. As a follow up, on behalf of the Favorites, Corinne forfeits the challenge.

Then we get to listen to Brandon shout on and on and on. Can this moron please shut the hell up already? Go home, go home, go home.

For once, the Fans win a challenge. There’s only one thing in this game more pitiful than the Fans. With their luck, that would be a member of the opposing team.

They don’t even need to go to Tribal Council. They can just vote here. Everybody votes out Brandon. Good riddance. Thus ends perhaps the most annoying episode of Survivor ever.

Having seen three Hantz family members now, it seems that Russell is the normal one.

Now that this experiment of what happens when you put a mentally unstable person (as we already knew from his last season) in a high stress environment has concluded, there is one positive from this otherwise loud (very loud) and obnoxious (very obnoxious) episode: host Jeff Probst. When he identified someone who was a threat to himself and others, he moved him to neutral territory, held him back, and let the tribe hash things out without subjecting them to the situation for very much longer. Even if at the same time he did milk the drama more than necessary.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of Survivor: Caramoan Episode 6, which airs Wednesday at 8/7c on CBS.
