The Apprentice 6: Los Angeles – Episode 5 Recap

February 11th, 2007 – It’s nice to have things back to normal again. I’m still not sure what happened last week with no show airing and no warning. I would have thought it to make more sense to bump this weeks episode if anything, what with the 49th Annual Grammy Awards being on and all. Oh well, I’m just glad to have things back to normal. I’m lost without my Sunday night Apprentice fix.

Tonight’s episode started with a very anxious Kinetic Corp. standing around with fingers crossed, hoping Donald Trump made the right decision and fired Marisa. After a bit of thumb twiddling and yapping back and forth, both Amy and Heidi walk around the corner and Kinetic Corp. erupts in cheers. Marisa was fired! Shortly after returning to camp Amy and Heidi jumped up beside the hedge and started chatting it up with Aaron about the boardroom, ragging on him for being so quite the whole time.

The next day both Kinetic and Arrow Corp. assemble outside Donald Trumps mansion, awaiting instructions for the next task. It turns out that the Donald has business to take care of elsewhere and is going to be taking off right away, leaving loyal the Apprentice 5 winner Sean Yazbeck to man the controls in his absence.

Up Up And Away!

Just as a warning to everyone, I’ll be working on the site all weekend trying to get dingoRUE 2.0 – as I like to call it – up and fully functional before the weekend is over. Not sure if it’s going to happen, but I’m going to try. So, if you’re cruising around and things are slowing down, not loading or looking completely different, just refresh your screen.

Here’s hoping everything goes according to planned! Sorry for the inconvenience.

After a few long days and even longer nights, I believe everything is finally working as it should with the new layout. A few things still need to be tweaked to fix some issues in IE and I still have a bit of messing with template files to do, so all is not done yet, but the general look is in place now. I will also be updating the About, Advertising and Credits page in the very near future.

And, for all the reality TV fans out there, not to worry, I will be posting my usually The Apprentice 6: LA recap tonight, so stay tuned! Oh, and I still have a Survivor Fiji recap that I’ll be writing up tomorrow as well.

Most importantly, let me know what you think of everything. If something isn’t working right, please let me know and I’ll try to fix it asap.

Breaking: Anna Nicole Smith Is Dead!

Wow… All I can say about this is… wow. As much as I hated Anna Nicole Smith, my heart has to go out to what is left of her family. Things have been incredibly rough for her entire family in recent years and this is only going to make things worse. She apparently collapsed in a hotel in Florida and was rushed to a hospital where doctors were unable to revive her. Wow…

From CNN:

“Reality TV star and former Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead Thursday after being found unconscious in her Florida hotel room, a law enforcement source told CNN. Five months ago, Smith’s son, Daniel Wayne Smith, died just days after the birth of her infant daughter.”

Thanks to my wife, who’s watching the press conference right now, I can tell you that: Anna Nicole Smith was in her hotel room at 1:45 with her nurse when she collapsed. Her bodyguard began to give her CPR and sent her to the hospital at 2:20. Doctors tried to resuscitate her, but were unsuccessful and she was officially pronounced dead at 2:49. Her husband, Howard K. Stern was with her but her daughter was not. The police are now investigating the crime scene to gather further evidence.

Survivor Fiji Kicks Off on CBS Tonight!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children of all ages, hold on to your seats and prepare yourself for another super-fantastic-happy-season of Survivor on CBS!

Survivor Fiji kicks off in full force tonight and promises to be a great season. Its only been a matter of months since Survivor Cook Islands came to an end, where we saw survivor superstar Yul Kwon take home the grand prize, beating out the more deserving (and prettier) Playboy Foursome star Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth.

CBS, being the fantastic people that they are, graciously decided to start production on yet another season of Survivor almost immediately after the closing of Survivor Cook Islands. So, instead of having to wait nearly a year for another addition of the grandfather of reality TV, we’re getting treated to an early start and already things are looking promising!

NBC Heroes Episode 15: “Run” Preview

NBCs hit TV show Heroes is rolling along smoothly, consistently beating out its opponents in the ratings. Episode 14 has been and gone and some key things happened:

The identity of both Claire’s biological mother and father has been revealed. After a brief encounter with his father, head Heroes character Hiro Nakamura is back to searching for his samurai sword. Hiro’s sidekick Ando has the hots for Hiro’s sister, but doesn’t have the moves to go along with it. Niki has been fully consumed by Jessica and magically cleared of all charges. Mr. Linderman’s henchman is starting to play more of a part in the series (When do we get to see Linderman though?!). Peter is learning how to control his powers through the tried and tested trial by fire method, thanks to Claude, though he nearly went nuclear in the process. Nathan, Isaac and Simone are all still on the hunt for Peter, though finding out Claire know’s Nathan is her father might change his role a bit. And, most important of all, Sylar has escaped Primatech Papers and is now on the loose, hunting for Claire and taking out his frustrations on her pseudo-mom and HRG/Mr. Bennet.

NBC Heroes Video: Ali Larter Gets Naked!

I knew NBC Heroes star Ali Larter [Jessica/Niki Sanders] had done TV and movie work before, but I had no idea she did commercials as well, and bad commercials at that.

Aside from acting in movies like Final Destination 1 & 2, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Legally Blonde, House on Haunted Hill and Varsity Blues, it would appear that Ali has another, more revealing hobby: getting naked for cheesy 90’s body spray commercials. Sweet!

Video: Apple Slings Monkey Poo At MS In New PC vs Mac Commercial

Apple hasn’t wasted a minute in getting their newest edition of the PC vs. Mac commercial series out, and might I add, just in time to coincide with the release of MS Vista. The newest commercial takes a stab at Vista new “security” features and I have to admit, of all the crappy PC vs. Mac commercials, this is one of the few I actually find amusing. The worlds “MS” and “security” should never go in the same sentence together. I have got to hand it to Apple on this one, they did a good job.

Tom Cruise Dances With Katie Holmes… Well, Kinda.

Like the saying goes “White man can’t dance” and, even though that’s not always true, there could be no more accurate a saying to describe Tom Cruise’s efforts to scale Katie Holmes like a spider monkey. Not only was it a disturbing and plain weird thing to watch, it also further cements the fact that Tom’s reputation and career are going down faster than a white house intern.

The good people over at TMZ.com have released a nice little video of Tom Cruise attempting to dance with Katie Holmes on the side of a stage, while Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony sing. It really is a sad and pathetic thing to watch, and for the first time ever, I actually feel confident in my dancing skills, and that’s really saying something.

From the looks of the video, Tom can’t even sway back and forth in rhythm, and the way he wraps his arms around Katie is just plain weird. Sort of like a midget trying to ride a giraffr.
