Amazing Race 10 - Episode 10

November 19th, 2006 - This weeks episode of the Amazing Race 10 picks up right where we left off last week, in Helsinki, Finland. As we learned at the end of last weeks episode, the guys at CBS decided to throw another twist into the show and elected not to end the leg of the race, but to continue it on into Episode 10, making it one of the longs legs in Amazing Race history.

Playstation 3 Madness

Posted by soultrance on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at 8:16 pm

I’ve always been more a fan of the Playstation than of the XBox. I simply like everything about the Playstation more than the Xbox. I haven’t had a playstation for a long time now, but it was my favorite gaming console. Now, I’m strictly a computer gamer.

Here is a special something for all you crazy people that waited in line for days to get your hands on a Playstation 3, compliments of SmashMyPS3.com!

Watch a Playstation 3 get smashed to pieces after the jump!

Survivor Cook Islands Recap: Message in a Bottle

Posted by soultrance on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 11:20 pm

Survivor Cook Islands: Season 13 - Episode 9

November 16th, 2006 - Tonight’s episode of Survivor Cook Islands kicks off with a very nervous Jonathan, one of the newest members of the Raro tribe - thanks to episode 8’s mutiny - trying to prove himself as a provider for the tribe. It doesn’t seem to be working very well, but maybe they’ll come around. One thing is for sure, Candice is having no troubles getting adapted to her new spot as a member of the Raro tribe. Adam and Candice picked up right where they left of and were all over eachother, professing their allegiances to eachother until the end. Yeah right, we’ll see how long that lasts. I’ll steal a term from Big Brother for this one: Hello Showmance!

Find out what happened in Episode 9 of Survivor Cook Islands after the jump!

The Biggest Loser: Season 3 - Episode 9

November 15th, 2006 - Ha! Try as they might, NBC could not keep me from missing this weeks episode of the Biggest Loser! They even went so far as to schedule it 1-hour early at 8:00pm to try and throw me off again, but not this time, oh no no no, not this time! Of course it helps that I saw last weeks episode and noticed the time change, but that’s beside the point. Anyway, enough of this sham of a conspiracy and on to the gooey-nougaty-caramel filled episode 9 recap!

Find out who threw a huge fit and who didn’t lose a pound after the jump!

By this time, every and any avid Survivor Cook Islands fan knows that this isn’t the first time Ozzy has been in the spotlight on TV, or on a reality TV show, for that matter.

The Survivor superstar was featured on Playboy’s Foursome, a reality TV show dubbed “the only TV dating program that shows everything”. There’s been a lot of talk over exactly what kind of part Ozzy played in Playboy’s Foursome, but now it’s all been laid out before us, literally.

Check out pictures and videos of Ozzy’s “performance” on Foursome after the jump!

Survivor Cook Islands: Brad and J.P. Dating?

Posted by soultrance on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 9:20 pm

The last episode of CBS’ Survivor: Cook Islands, which I unfortunately missed, saw Brad Virata, the open and proudly gay fashion designer from the Asian tribe, voted off the island.

Since Brad’s elimination he’s made the rounds through the media and has stirred up a few interesting rumors. Apparently he may be dating, or have dated a fellow Survivor: Cook Islands contestant. Whether there is any truth in the rumor or not is unknown, but it sounds like Brad and Mr. Manly, J.P., may have hooked up at some point.

During an interview with AfterElton.com, Brad was asked a pointed question about his relationship with J.P., to which he replied, “Um, it’s all about timing in life. I can’t answer that. JP is a great guy. You’ll have to wait for the finale.” He obviously side stepped the question all together and is either not wanting to talk about it, or is simply trying to pump up the Survivor: Cook Islands finale even more. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

In other Brad Virata news, he is also apparently pissed that the fact that he’s gay didn’t earn him more screen time or more story time. The fact that Brad is gay was obvious from the beginning, and he never tried to hide the fact, but I guess he wasn’t satisfied with how little they addressed the situation.

Find out what he had to say on the subject and Nate’s “Nancy Boy” comment, after the jump.

Johnny Cash “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” Video

Posted by soultrance on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 8:48 pm

Johnny Cash has been one of my favorite musicians for many years now and his death was a very sad one. Johnny had one hell of a life, worked with a great many talented musicians, had a loving family, devoted wife and legendary career. Johnny Cash and his music will be remembered for many years to come, which is more than can be said about 99% of today’s music.

Johnny Cash’s last album “American V: A Hundred Highways” featured one of his best songs to date, and just recently the music video has found its way online. “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” is the quintessential Johnny Cash song and brings to the forefront his obvious love for the church, his religion, and, most importantly, his undieing love for gospel music.

The video features a number of celebrities, musicians, actors and other stars that all have at least one thing in common, their love for Johnny and his music.

Watch “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” by Johnny Cash after the jump.

Anyone that has been reading dingoRUE for a while likely knows just how I felt about Bianca Ryan winning America’s Got Talent, though my thoughts on the 12-year-old vocalist were widely unshared. Remembrance Day Long Weekend

Posted by soultrance on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 2:51 pm

For those of us in Canada, this weekend is Remembrance day long weekend, which is basically the Canadian equivalent of Veterans Day in the U.S. Since it’s a long weekend, my wife and I are taking the opportunity to head to Vancouver Island, more specifically Port Alberni, to visit with some family and, it just so happens, said family has no computer. So, there will be no more updates until Monday night, maybe Tuesday morning.

I really need to get myself a laptop for just such occasions.

Since I won’t be updating, and I know you’ll be wanting your Reality TV and Celeb dirt fix, I highly recommend checking out the following:

Have a great long weekend everyone! And take a moment to remember all the soldiers that have given their lives in the line of duty. I personally don’t agree with the war, or any war, for that matter, but I do recognize that soldiers are giving their lives everyday for what they think is right. Pay some respects for past and present fallen soldiers. Canada alone has lost over 40 soldiers to the “peace keeping” mission in Afghanistan. Don’t forget them.

Survivor Cook Islands: The Non-Recap

Posted by soultrance on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 2:16 pm

Unfortunately I will be slacking off again tonight and won’t be watching Survivor Cook Islands. The Circle Craft Fair opens in Vancouver tonight and tonight is the only night my wife and I will be able to go, so we’ll be getting crafty while Survivor is on.

If you’ve never heard of the Circle Craft Fair, and you live in Vancouver, I highly recommend checking it out. Even if you don’t like crafts, it is a fantastic event. Artists, Crafters and Foodies of all forms pack into the Convention Centre, to the tune of about 250+ booths, to sell their hand-crafted awesomeness for only four days every year.

It’s a little pricier then you average craft fair, but it has so much more to offer, and it’s still not that bad, especially since they have some pretty sweet coupons.

Get your Circle Craft Fair Coupons here.

For all you Survivor addicts out there, you can get your fix from any number of sites, though I have a few favorites that are worth a look.
