Moment of Truth Lauren Cleri Ends Marriage, Loses Anyway

When Moment of Truth first premiered, we knew something like this was bound to happen. The show was cancelled in Colombia because a woman admitted to putting a hit out on her husband. This week’s episode is the one that pushed the envelope, though I suspect it will only get worse.

Lauren Cleri’s ex-boyfriend Frank came on the show to ask her a question “If I wanted to get back together with you, would you leave your husband?” Her friend didn’t want to hear it, even if her husband (also Frank) stupidly did (or perhaps not so stupidly since it gives him an excuse to get out). Since her friend Monica didn’t want to hear it, though, she pressed the button to interrupt it. So they replaced it with another question, still asked by her ex-boyfriend. “Do you believe I am the man you should be married to?” No way to get out of hearing this. She says yes. That answer is true. This is enough to bring her to the $100,000 mark. Her husband tells her to just keep going since it’s not like she can upset him any more. He admits he’s sometimes unhappy with the marriage, not that anybody’s surprised. Her mom wants her to stop now and take the money.

Her next question is “Since you’ve been married, have you ever had sexual relations with someone other than your husband?” She says yes. That answer is true.

She continues forward. Question 17 is “Do you think you’re a good person?” Despite what’s been learned about her thus far (earlier in the show, she also admitted to stealing from work), she answers yes. That answer is false. Game over.

Following the show, the couple told the New York Post that the marriage is “Kind of up in the air right now.” Frank says he knew that the marriage was going nowhere before but that he wasn’t prepared for what has happened since the show. He doesn’t want to get back together, although Lauren still does.

The video clip of this part of the episode is after the jump.

The Celebrity Apprentice Episode 9

Marilu Henner threw herself in front of a bus for her friend Carol Alt in The Celebrity Apprentice Episode 8, and Marilu ended up getting fired, even though they probably failed because Carol, who worked for QVC for 5 years, supposedly didn’t know that QVC had a payment plan option. Lennox Lewis, meanwhile, took some heat for being “sleepy boy.”

Stephen Baldwin’s got another check for his mother’s charity for $20,000, which he got as last week’s winning project manager.

Dial Soap is doing an ad campaign for Redbook magazine. They will create a 4 page ad for a new product from Dial, a body wash. The task will be judged on creativity, innovation of the brand, and overall message and content.

Tito Ortiz is project manager for Empresario. Carol Alt is the project manager for Hydra because she doesn’t want to be a chicken (unlike Omarosa, who makes sure she’s not elected as PM).

Teams first meet with the executives. Piers Morgan wants to know how racy they can be before they cross a line because he wants at least one of the photos to be pure sex. They find out that the target market is women in their mid-30s, and they decide to appeal to those women and every aspect of their lives.

Empresario is next. Redbook definitely knows Trace Adkins, and they say they appeal to the middle of the country, much like him. Baldwin wants to use Trace again.

Piers wants to use Carol for the ads because he believes she’s closer to the target age than the models, who are in their early 20s. She’s afraid that will put too many hats on her head. Piers eventually gets his way, and she reluctantly agrees to model.

Stephen wants to push clean country cowboys, and he directs the photo shoot.

Omarosa wants to film Trace alongside some young models and get him to take his shirt off. Trace agrees, but he’s not happy about it. Baldwin doesn’t want to push sex quite so much.

The other team decides to focus entirely on Carol Alt, though they drag in a male model to spice things up for the final suggestive shot.

Piers is able to give a good presentation, but on the other side, Tito struggles to present. Piers did push his sexy angle (Trump wonders if the model was biting Carol). Omarosa, however, did not get her way with the shirtless picture of Trace. The Redbook executive likes the Hydra campaign, but the Dial exec is unsure that the provocative nature of their last picture was necessary. Empresario’s campaign gets praise for good pictures, but that’s about it.

Despite much debate over which ad is better, Hydra not surprisingly wins this task.

Trump questions why a woman wasn’t the project manager. Omarosa lies and says she stepped up immediately. George is also circling around Omarosa, who has already lost twice as PM.

Omarosa blames Tito and Stephen and says that Stephen taking charge was a bad thing. Ultimately, she wants Tito fired.

Trace sticks up for Omarosa and says Tito is responsible because he let Stephen take charge.

Stephen gets blamed for fighting the shirtless picture. He points out that the picture didn’t matter anyway, and he’s right.

Tito says he believes Omarosa shouldn’t be fired. Fatal error. She could have been an easy target. That said, Trump doesn’t bother continuing forward and fires Tito on the spot.

Survivor: Micronesia Episode 4

Cirie, the one nobody could care less about the first week, went on a power trip in Survivor: Micronesia Episode 3. I still haven’t yet figured out what her point was, but she got her way, and the favorites voted out Yau-Man.

The fans are still concerned that Chet’s useless. I don’t know why they didn’t get rid of him when they had the chance.

Eliza’s struggling on her camp and feels really sick. James is pissed off that they got rid of Yau-Man just because Cirie said so. He and Ozzy just go right up to Eliza’s face and tell her they should have gotten rid of her instead.

The challenge is a diving challenge. Teams will dive for coconuts to get ten lettered coconuts, which will then be used to spell out a word. Reward is three egg-laying chickens and a rooster. Chet sits out for the fans. Ozzy’s got a strategy of moving a bunch of coconuts at the same time, which gives the favorites an early lead, which they never look back from. James solves the puzzle (he can’t believe it either), and favorites win reward. Kathy gets sent to exile island again (and again I ask why?), along with Ozzy.

An interesting point is raised. Kathy couldn’t care less about finding the idol (again). Kathy says she appreciates learning from the favorites, though, and wishes she was on their team. Ozzy manages to find the hidden immunity idol, which is apparently not that difficult to find (shocker) and something that Kathy could have easily found by now if she actually tried. Ozzy decides to make a fake idol. Dude, we’ve seen this plot before. More than once.

Eliza approaches Parvati to see if they’ll get rid of Jonathan instead, who we learned during his season was a rat. Parvati knows better than anyone else Jonathan can’t be trusted, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll make a move just yet.

6 people from each team will be locked up and need to find the keys to unlock themselves. Fans sit out Tracy. Favorites are locked up first and get off to a 3-0 lead of people unlocked. Favorites are first to be all unlocked and must from there head to a course, where they will figure out how to maneuver to collect necklaces. Fans finally get unlocked, behind by 4 necklaces. From there, they hand off the necklaces to the two remaining teammates, who will solve a letter puzzle. Favorites win immunity. It’s never even close.

Mikey B wants to work with Joel for now… until such time as he has to stab him in the back. Chet’s closest allies try to talk to him, but it’s obvious he’s already checked out from this game. Tracy’s not willing to give up that easily, though. She’d rather support him, despite the fact that he’s a liability, so that she can have the numbers she needs (not that she has the numbers to begin with, nor will keeping Chet around help her to get them). Chet expects to be booted out tonight, but Tracy tries to convince Joel to get rid of Mikey while he has the chance.

Jeff Probst asks the question at tribal council who hasn’t been pulling their weight in challenges, and Chet raises his hand.

Wow. That’s uh. Wow. While it is true he was indeed going to stab someone in the back eventually, I don’t get what purpose Chet serves, particularly since he’s already given up.

American Idol 7 Episode 16

Results will be posted live as they become available.

Jason Yeager is the first person to be sent home.

Alexandrea Lushington is the first girl to go.

Alaina Whitaker is the next one out. Of the three, this is the first to surprise me.

Robbie Carrico is the last person to leave tonight. He should have stuck to being a boy bander. Nobody bought the whole rock thing from him.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another recap of American Idol 7 episode 17, which airs Tuesday at 8/7c on Fox.

American Idol 7 Episode 14

Michael Johns was one of the standout performances from American Idol 7 Episode 11 (there weren’t a lot). He wants us to know he’s a bit of a jock (tennis) and sings Go Your Own Way.

Randy-Started slow but kinda got into it.
Paula-Got the whole crowd working for you.
Simon-Okay. By far your weakest performance of the whole competition for you. Weak choice of song.

Jason Castro also had a good week. During his interview, he tells us he hates interviews. He’s back with his guitar again, singing I Just Want to Be Your Everything.

Randy-Cool as an act with the guitar, but the vocals are really just okay.
Paula-Not as bad as Randy heard it to be.
Simon-Horrible song. Didn’t suit his voice. Weak vocals.

Luke Menard is part of an a cappella group. He sings Killer Queen, a fairly forgettable performance.

Randy-Pretty good.
Paula-Glad this week was a great week for him.
Simon-Mistake. The original had charisma and personality, but Luke didn’t. Verging on whiny.

Robbie Carrico tells us that Simon’s wrong because there are a lot of different levels of rock. He drag races cars, loving the sound of fuel and burnt tires. Robbie sings Hot Blooded. Sounds good, but I’m still not getting a rock vibe.

Randy-Agrees with Simon. Don’t know if the rock thing is really his thing.
Paula-How does anyone know who you are but you? Played it safe.
Simon-Don’t have to get so defensive about it. Okay vocal tonight.

Danny Noriega believed he was good last week. He tells us the story about how he was in a punk rock band that sucked when he was younger. Sure, the punk rock part was a surprise, but I don’t think the sucking part’s a stretch. He sings Superstar, a song he can’t possibly make work.

Randy-Some problems, too much thinking.
Paula-Can’t overthink it. Just perform.
Simon-Better than last week’s disaster, but at least he stands out in a crowd.

David Hernandez was in gymnastics as a little kid. He sings Papa Was a Rolling Stone in a performance that should help him stand out more from the rest.

Randy-This is the David Hernandez we fell in love with.
Paula-Pure, piercing voice. Perfect.
Simon-Best vocal of the night so far.

Jason Yeager plays guitar, piano, and drums, though he isn’t playing any instruments in the competition just yet, as he sings Long Train Running.

Randy-Wasn’t like a singer’s kind of song, pitchy, karaoke.
Paula-Didn’t show his vocal range.
Simon-Last week was boring. This week was awkward and ordinary. Like he was drunk at a party or something.

Chikezie (formerly known as Chikezie Eze) has a misprounounced Nigerian name, which has just stuck with him because people kept mispronouncing it since elementary school. He sings I Believe, and he gives a good show, something he really needed after last week’s close call.

Randy-Chikezie is back. In it to win it.
Paula-Brilliant. Fun.
Simon-Looked better. Sounded better. Clever choice of song.

David Cook is a word nerd and demonstrates it by talking like he’s on Dawson’s Creek. He sings All Right Now while playing guitar. This is the type of song that’s hard to screw up because it’s so fun and everybody knows it.

Randy-Real rocker from the boys this year.
Paula-The real deal.
Simon-Solid. Believeable. Story was boring, though, and he doesn’t have a lot of charisma. David snaps back at him, which is a bad idea. Justin Guarini learned this the hard way in season 1, yet 6 years later, David Cook is relearning it.

David Archuleta gets the pimp spot, not surpising considering he’s growing more and more as the favorite as the weeks go by. He tells a story about how he met and sang for the American Idol 1 finalists when he was 11 (check out the video in the American Idol 7 Episode 3 post). He sings Imagine and lives up to expectations. One of these weeks he’ll probably have an unexpected off night, but not this night.

Randy-One of the best vocals ever on this show. Maturity way beyond his years.
Paula-Ridiculous. She wants to dangle his decapitated head from her rear view mirror or something. One of the most moving performances ever. Destined for superstardom.
Simon-Very risky, but it worked. The one to beat.

Big Brother 9 Episode 8

As much as they hoped to get revenge on James, neither Alex nor Matt were able to pull off a veto win in Big Brother 9 Episode 7 to save themselves. Sheila and Allison decided they should hate each other. I agree with both of them. Then we got some unexpected drama with two houseguests being hospitalized because of the food.

Matt makes a deal with Adam to try to keep himself in the house. Adam’s completely in support of operation condor. James couldn’t care less who goes as long as it’s not him.

Allison’s concerned that Matt & Natalie are very strong. She pitches her theory to the others. Her theory is that Alex & Amanda will be tired from being on the block, making them weaker. Yet Matt & Natalie wouldn’t be tired from also being on the block I guess. Her partner Ryan is more concerned about Alex & Amanda.

Sheila’s learned that in this game you have to keep some things to yourself, or so she says.

Chelsia’s confused by her team’s decision of nominating Matt & Natalie after promising them repeatedly they wouldn’t.

Tonight’s voting takes place live.

Adam & Sheila-Alex & Amanda
Joshuah & Sharon-Alex & Amanda
Ryan & Allison-Alex & Amanda

By a vote of 3-0, Alex & Amanda have been evicted from the Big Brother house. For the second week in a row, the outgoing power couple is gone. Let’s see if James’ dumb ass has secured it as a three for three. Alex still blames Amanda for getting them nominated, but he accepts some responsibility since he didn’t campaign to stay. Allison and Ryan both leave bitter goodbye messages, which we’ve learned from previous seasons is just plain stupid. But that’s how they’re both playing the game thus far, so it’s par for the course.

Tonight’s HOH competition is called words of love and centers around the love quotes on the walls in the house. Sharon gets the first question right and eliminates Allison. Sharon then gets the second question right and eliminates Sheila. And then she gets the third question right, winning the ladies’ round. Ryan is incorrect and is eliminated. Joshuah gets the second question right and takes out Matt. Joshuah is again right, winning the men’s round. Since he and his partner both won, Joshuah & Sharon are HOH.

Big Brother 9 Spoilers

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 20

Jessi went nutty in Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 19, insisting on winning everything, a mirror of Sarah, who died because she pushed too hard. Andy’s preparing for her checkup tomorrow to see whether she’s still got cancer, but it doesn’t appear as though she does.

A sleepwalking Kyle goes into the kitchen to draw a picture with ketchup. When they return to his room, they see a mass of pictures that need to be put in order. Nicole believes it happened because of stress from the major relationship changes in his life. She suggests he uncomplicate his life. So he goes to The Rack, where everybody needs his brain to help their studying efforts. He doesn’t want to disappoint them. Stephen also needs his cooking assistance, while Lori wants help writing a prom theme song. He starts forgetting simple words and bumping into things. Jessi can tell something’s wrong with him.

Kyle realizes he’s slowly losing control of his abilities, and it’s not going unnoticed by the others. Josh says he’s like the idiot king of Stupidtown.

Mrs. Bloom reluctantly lets Amanda study with Kyle, saying the test answers will prove whether her trust in him has been well placed. He hopes he can earn the honor of a date with her “giraffe” (aka Amanda).

When he heads to his room to rest, he draws the pictures again. He doesn’t think the problem is stress.

Since Kyle’s not smart enough today, Josh calls Jessi to help them study, which obviously doesn’t please Amanda. Jessi forces Josh to do pushups when he gets something wrong, which could lead to quite a workout. Nobody else wants to study with her for some unknown reason.

Mark, Stephen’s TA, comes to the house to assist with a mechanical problem. He goes to the bathroom upstairs, where he gets trapped by Lori. She asks for his advice, and he’s got a lot, even if it’s blunt. Declan quickly gets jealous. It turns out Hillary is an idiot savant and is a great cook. Then Amanda rescues Josh from Jessi.

Andy’s got good news. She doesn’t have cancer any more. That’s what he apparently did. Curing her pushed him too far, a point not lost on Jessi, who was already suspicious to begin with. The action of curing her was just unintentional, driven by an emotion for wanting to help her.

Hillary’s got an obvious theory. There’s sexual tension between Mark and Lori.

Kyle tries to pretend he’s okay, but every little noise is driving him mad. He eventually ends up starting a fire. Amanda goes home to play the piano, hoping it will help him. He’s comforted but still lost and confused.

Adam Baylin comes to find out what’s wrong. Adam doesn’t believe he actually healed Andy, at least not at this stage in his development. He does have a theory, though. The record Kyle’s been listening to from the diner is the key.

Mark decides that Lori is a great lyricist but that he’ll help her with the music. He also agrees to DJ the prom.

Kyle’s subconscious is trying to tell him to listen to the subliminal messages hidden on the record. The sounds are then translated into images, like a fax machine. Adam’s not sure where the message is coming from, since Sarah’s dead and all.

They take the images Kyle drew and put them on a computer, where he gets a visual of a Latnok ring with a message of “I’m Alive.”

Amanda’s mother is happy that her daughter played the piano, the first time she’s done that since she’s been back. He asks for permission to take Amanda to the prom, and he gets a yes.

Josh is convinced that, regardless of what Kyle may say, he did help Andy in some way.

Kyle realizes that the simplest way to solve a problem is to be sure you have someone to help you, which everybody did by coming together to help each other.

Jericho Season 2 Episode 3

Hawkins and Chavez managed to steal some information in Jericho Season 2 Episode 2 that they’ll use to try to take down the government in Cheyenne. Beck has been told he’ll step down and just focus on Sarah. Those replacing him are unlikely to be good news for the town.

Jimmy returns to work. He recognizes Sarah, telling Beck that Hawkins is connected to her, but he doesn’t go into details since he thinks Hawkins is FBI. The plan is for Hawkins to approach Beck and tell him he’s FBI and that they’re killing his investigation. Hawkins says Beck’s going way too far with the public appeal for Sarah’s capture. He pretends he’s with the Columbus FBI, which Beck doesn’t like, but he agrees to cooperate with him since he wants Sarah more than to worry about politics. Hawkins’ plan is to see if Beck’s interested in hearing the truth about who he’s taking orders from.

Ravenwood is owned by Jennings & Rall and is their own private army. Jake’s very familiar with them, since he worked for Jennings & Rall. While he was working for them in Iraq, they killed some civillians, but there were no consequences because it was Jennings & Rall, who can get away with whatever they want.

Ravenwood stops by to pay Dale’s store a visit, where they confiscate some of his goods, notably medicine, which would have treated the Hudson River virus, and then they get word that the virus has jumped the Mississippi.

Dr. Kenchy reluctantly gives Emily advice about how to proceed with administering the virus. He doesn’t want to get involved himself. She begs him to help, and he orders 3000 syringes, which does not go unnoticed by the powers that be.

With a little advice from Jake, Dale’s able to hijack the truck carrying the vaccines. Meanwhile, Kenchy’s being interrogated by Ravenwood, and he knows exactly what they’re capable of.

A fingerprint trace turns up that Sarah Mason’s prints are classified. Hawkins warns him not to contact Valente because if he does, they’ll turn on him. He suggests the orders are to shoot to kill because they don’t want him to get any useful information.

Kenchy tells where to find the others. Jake finds this out and heads back to the warehouse to warn them. The others are able to escape safely with the goods, but Jake stays behind to stall.

Beck contacts Valente and asks if Sarah’s ever been employed by the US government. Valente tells him no, then says he’s tired of his delays and doesn’t want to hear from him again until he’s captured her.

According to the office in Cheyenne, the vaccines have been delivered and destroyed. This is enough to bail out Jake. They got a break from the inside. Trish has an attack of conscience and decides to do the right thing.

The town in Missouri that’s been hit by the virus was saved by Beck, who acted on his own to make sure they got the treatment they needed.

Hawkins gets an encrypted message that’s a special way of communicating that only his team knew how to read. He calls the phone number and gets somebody who says he wants to help.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of Jericho Season 2 episode 4 Oversight, which airs Tuesday at 10/9c on CBS.
