Hell’s Kitchen 3 Details

Things are starting to heat up around here! With the fall reality TV lineup all but wrapped up, it is time for the summer TV shows to officially kick into gear and pick up the slack, and you know what that means? Time for Hell’s Kitchen 3 baby!

Hell’s Kitchen has been one of my absolute favorite reality television shows since it’s premiere season and now going into it’s third season, things are looking better than ever. The new season is packed with great chefs, great dishes, amazing rewards, all new twists and, of course, what would the show be without the belligerent rantings of one of Britain’s finest, Chef Gordon Ramsay!

Hell’s Kitchen 3 kicks-off Monday, June 4 at 9/8 central on Fox and will pit 12 aspiring master chefs against one another for the coveted title of Head Chef of the brand new Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa in Las Vegas! Once again the contestants will be divided into two seperate teams; that’s right folks, we’re in for another exciting round of Girls vs. Guys competition.

Without further adieu, I present to you and yours, the 12 Hell’s Kitchen 3 contestants:

  • Red Team (Girls team)
    • Bonnie, 26 of Los Angeles, CA – Nanny/personal chef
    • Jen, 26 of Hazelton, PA – Pastry chef
    • Joanna, 22 of Detroit, MI – Chef’s assistant
    • Julia, 28 of Atlanta, GA – Short-order cook
    • Melissa, 29 of New York, NY – Line cook
    • Tiffany, 27 of Scottsdale, AZ – Kitchen manager
  • Blue Team (Guys team)
    • Aaron, 48 of Palos Verdes, CA – Retirement home chef
    • Brad, 25 of Scottsdale, AZ – Sous chef
    • Eddie, 28 of Atlanta, GA – Grill cook
    • Josh, 26 of Miami Beach, FL – Junior sous chef
    • Rock, 30 of Spotsylvania, VA – Executive chef
    • Vinnie, 29 of Milltown, NJ – Night club chef

My initial impression of the new cast is, well… interesting:

Aaron is already doomed to fail. Hell’s Kitchen generally doesn’t go to well for older people and, let’s face it, a retirement home chef? That’s just not going to cut it.

Rock is in for one hell of a difficult time and a whole ton of ass riding compliments of Chef Gordon Ramsay. Judging by the past two seasons of the hit reality TV series, Ramsay is anything but a fan of Executive Chef’s and seems to give them extra special attention.

Julia doesn’t stand a chance either. From the initial episode 1 preview video I’ve seen, anyone that breaks down in tears while trying to do something as simple as fry an egg is doomed.

I have to admit, this season has got me excited and I am really looking forward to the first episode. But, going into Hell’s Kitchen 3 pretty much blind, my initial pick to win it all is 27-year old kitchen manager Tiffany. She’s been in kitchens all her life, she’s got professional training and, judging by the preview videos, she seems to be in the right mindset. You heard it here first folks! Tiffany will win Hell’s Kitchen 3 (maybe), hehe.

Fire up your TiVo’s, stock the fridge with drinks and snacks, and get ready, Hell’s Kitchen 3 kicks-off June 4 at 9/8 central! Don’t miss it.

CBS 2007 – 2008 Primetime Schedule

With my absolute favorite show of the year, Heroes on NBC, coming to a fantastic climax last night, I’ve been forced to begin my search for a new love, and what better place to start than with CBS’s 2007 – 2008 primetime television schedule. Let’s delve into the dark and murky depths of CBS and see what new and exciting TV shows are in store for us in the coming year!

CBS will welcome back a whopping seventeen of its well established TV shows, while bolstering it’s ranks even further with an additional five brand new TV series!

Drama and iconic music meet in “Viva Laughlin”; Jimmy Smits heads a powerful South Florida Cuban family in “Cane”; the traditional Vampire legend turns romantic thriller in “Moonlight”; a group of geniuses and geeks take on the world in “The Big Bang Theory”; and a group of 40 kids take over an abandoned ghost town and establish a new society ala Lord of the Flies in one of CBS’ most interesting new additions, “Kid Nation”.

You can find more details on CBS’ newest TV shows and the upcoming schedule changes after the jump!

Heroes Season 2 “Generations”

Heroes season 1 “Genesis” may have just come to an end, but there is still hope for all my fellow hopeless Heroes addicts of the world. According to a recent interview with the hit television show’s star Masi Oka (aka Hiro Nakamura), Heroes season 2 “Generations” is scheduled to commence filming on June 29th. Since season 2 is beginning filming so soon, rumor has it that we may just be in for a sneak peak of what’s in store for us come Comic Con this July in San Diego. Though these are only rumors at this point, I’m pretty sure Tim Kring and the rest of the Heroes crew will give us something to talk about come Comic Con, they did last time.

Looking back at previous posts like Watch NBC’s Heroes Online, For Free! and Watch Heroes Online: The Where and How, I noticed a number of similarities. It became blazingly apparent that people outside of the U.S., myself in Canada included, were getting the shaft from the lovely people at NBC. For whatever reason, NBC promoted the hell out of the fact that you could watch their television shows online, for free and in full, but failed to mention that you have to be located in the U.S. to be granted such a privilege, which strikes me as rather stupid since NBC’s hit TV shows like Heroes air all over the world. As such, a number of the dingoRUE readers made comments in search of online sites where one living outside the Unites States can watch Heroes online, for free, and in full.

Well, after a ton of digging, a whole lot of searching and even more mashing of the keyboard (okay, my friend and co-worker actually told me about the site), I was able to track down one of the best online TV sites I’ve ever seen. Not only can you watch NBC Heroes, you can watch full, free episodes of: 24, CSI, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, House, Lost, Nip/Tuck, The Office, Prison Break, The Riches, Scrubs and countless other incredibly popular TV shows. Best of all, from what I can tell (at least), people from all over the world can access, watch and enjoy every TV show the site has to offer!

Survivor Fiji Winner Revealed!

Survivor: China Winner
Survivor: Micronesia Winner

It’s been a long and exciting season of Survivor Fiji and the finale did not disappoint. Although I have to say I am not happy with Global TV at all! Right as the final four were going to tribal council to determine who would be included in the final three they cut to commercial. I assumed they were doing this as the usual way of building suspense, but the commercials went on and on for two or three minutes and by the time they ended and the show was back on, Earl, Dreamz and Cassandra were back at camp discussing how they had just got rid of Yau-Man. What the hell!!?

Since the end of last weeks show, were Yau-Man agreed to give Dreamz the truck as long as he was to hand over immunity should he win it in the final four, they have been hyping the entire will he or won’t he story surrounding immunity. Sure enough Dreamz ended up winning immunity in tonight’s challenge and, when the time came to make his decision at tribal council, Global TV crapped out and I missed the entire thing. I couldn’t believe when they came back and Yau was gone. I was pissed at the fact that my favorite contestant got the boot, but ever more pissed that I didn’t get to see what went down. Global TV, you guys screwed up big time, thanks a lot. I hope the U.S. viewers who were watching Survivor Fiji on CBS didn’t have the same problem.

Once I managed to get over the anger of missing the single most integral part of the night’s episode I focused on furthering my hatred of Dreamz. As much as I love Survivor, I have to say, I do not like the idea of voting on the final three, I much prefer the final two. Also, both this season and last has ended with one deserving contestant (Earl) making the final three, while the other two are completely undeserving of being their and only made it through by coasting (Cassandra) or pure luck (Dreamz).

With that being said, I don’t want to give the Survivor Fiji Winner away to anyone that has the finale TiVo’ed, or anyone that hasn’t yet watched it, so if you’re looking to find out who won you’ll have to check things out after the jump!

Heroes Episode 22: Malcolm McDowell Profile

The cast of NBC Heroes as a whole has always been relatively celebrity free, that is of course until famed British actor Malcolm McDowell joined the cast as the infamous Mr. Linderman.

Now, I will admit, at first I thought casting McDowell as Mr. Linderman was a terrible idea. The writers behind Heroes had spent a number of episodes referring to Linderman, building up his character, making him a shadowy, mysterious, sinister figure that was to be feared, and I just didn’t see McDowell as that person. Although the more Mr. Linderman was featured, the more his character began to grow on me and the more I realized McDowell was the perfect person for the role. As Mr. Linderman’s character developed over the course of just a few episodes, McDowell’s acting abilities and on screen experience really began to shine, bringing the once mysterious and sinister character to life.

Malcolm McDowell was born Malcolm John Taylor on June 13th, 1943 in Leeds, England and has been a well respected actor for the majority of his life. McDowell’s first step into acting was as Crispin Ryder in the 1964 TV series “Crossroads,” though it wasn’t until 1971 that the spotlight fully focused on McDowell when he starred as Alex de Large in the epic Stanley Kubrick film, A Clockwork Orange. McDowell’s role as Alex was the catch of the century, as A Clockwork Orange is considered by many (myself included), to be one of the single most influential movies of the 20th century.

Since his prolific role in A Clockwork Orange, Malcolm McDowell has appeared in quite literally hundreds of movies and TV shows in roles ranging from simple cameo’s to lead characters.

Of all the many roles McDowell has taken on, my personal favorites are that of Alex in A Clockwork Orange, Terence in HBO Entourage and, of course, the mysterious Mr. Linderman in NBC Heroes.

Heroes Episode 22

Heroes Episode 22, entitled “Landslide”, will air Monday, May 14th at 9pm EST on NBC (8pm PST on Global TV in Canada), signalling what is very nearly the end of the hit TV shows first season.

Heroes season 1 is almost at an end and things are all starting to come together, though for as many story lines as they have brought together, the writers have managed to create equally as many loose ends that still need tieing up. Though I have to say, after having watched all of the Heroes episode 22 spoiler videos, a few pieces of the puzzle have started to fall into place. If you haven’t yet had a chance to watch the spoiler videos, I highly recommend it. If you prefer to keep the visual clues to a minimum, then give these Heroes episode 22 descriptions a run through for an idea of what to expect!

Official NBC Heroes episode 22 description:

AS LINDERMAN ARRIVES, NATHAN CONSIDERS THE COST TO WIN THE ELECTION; MALCOLM MCDOWELL, ERIC ROBERTS AND GEORGE TAKEI GUEST-STAR — Poised to become a member of Congress and maybe more, Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) considers the cost to those he loves, along with his mother’s (guest star Cristine Rose) advice and Linderman’s (guest star Malcolm McDowell, “Entourage,””A Clockwork Orange”) prophecy. As he prepares to face Sylar (guest star Zachary Quinto) to the death, Hiro (Golden Globe nominee Masi Oka) learns of his lineage from his father (guest star George Takei, “Star Trek”). While various “heroes” fatefully arrive in New York City, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) and Ted (Matthew John Armstrong) attempt to leave the city before the foretold explosion. H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) and Matt (Greg Grunberg) learn the surprising truth behind the tracking system used on people with special abilities. Santiago Cabrera, Noah Gray-Cabey, Ali Larter, Hayden Panettiere, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Leonard Roberts also star. Clea DuVall, Justin Evans, James Kyson Lee, Missy Peregrym, Eric Roberts, Rena Sofer, Adair Tishler and Jackson Wurth guest-star.

Unofficial Heroes episode 22 description by TV Guide:

Nathan weighs his mother’s advice against plans by Linderman; Hiro gets some family information as he prepares to face Sylar; Peter and Ted try to leave New York to avoid the explosion. George Takei and Eric Roberts guest star.

Unofficial Heroes episode 22 description by TV.com:

Angela Petrelli is forced to play a bigger role in Nathan, Peter, and Claire’s life. The truth about the death of Nathan and Peter’s father is finally revealed along with his true identity. When Nathan finds out that he may have a chance to become more than mayor he is confronted with a decision that he must make. As election day nears some try to leave NYC. HRG and Matt learn another surprising secret. Also, Sylar is eating another hero’s brain. Hiro’s dad returns.

If that doesn’t get your excitement peaked, nothing will. By the sounds of it, episode 22 is going to be a good one and I for one cannot wait to see what happens. I’ve had suspicions about Nathan and Peter’s father for a long time now and I really want to know who it is. There are so many possibilities, it could almost be anyone. My original suspicion was that Linderman was Nathan and Peter’s father, though from the sounds of things, I’m most likely wrong. Either way, I don’t think their father is actually dead, hiding-out, or maybe even invisible (yeah, I’m referring to Claude here), but not dead. I guess we’ll just have to wait until Monday to find out. Or will we?
