Tori Spelling Leaves 90210

The 90210 spinoff hasn’t even started airing yet, but sources confirmed to E that Tori Spelling has pulled out of her deal with The CW.

According to insiders, Tori asked for a rate hike after she learned that Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty were making $40,000-50,000 per episode, whereas she was making less than $20,000 (granted, Donna Martin was a much more minor character, and Tori’s star hasn’t shined quite as brightly as either of theirs after the fact either). Because the network denied this request, she’s backed out altogether.

The show’s rep at the CW says: “The CW has no deal with Tori Spelling to appear on 90210 at this time.”

And Tori’s rep says the same: “At this point there are no plans for Tori to appear on the 90210 spinoff.”

There is still some time for the two sides to come together on the issue, however.

Big Brother 10 Episode 13

Returning to its roots as a popularity contest, Big Brother 10 Episode 12 saw Jessie evicted from the Big Brother house based on America’s vote. Following Jessie’s eviction, Michelle won HOH, putting big(ger) targets on Libra’s and Keesha’s backs since they turned on their alliance for no apparent reason last week.

Tonight’s episode is delayed due to the 60 Minutes/golf overrun (yes, this again). A live recap will begin when 60 Minutes is over.

As he was walking out of the house, Jessie asked Memphis and Michelle to stay together in the alliance that’s been a sinking ship for the past month.

Jerry hates Dan’s guts now. He tells him not to hide behind his cross. This from the guy who took offense to people who took issue with him being a military man and lying.

Michelle promises us she’s flipping this upside down. Yeah, we heard that threat before. April, meanwhile, says that the other people are afraid of Michelle and herself. Wait a minute. That’s the duo to be afraid of? That’s even a duo?

Next up, it’s a competition to see who’s the loudest, most obnoxious person in the house. Michelle, Jerry, April, and Libra are all too close to call.

Eventually this comes around to how Dan needs to burn in Hell because he apparently lied.

Dan asks Memphis to start damage control and try to work his mojo on the lunatic who used to be in his alliance. Dan continues to play the weak player role.

Memphis is getting tired of seeing April’s lips on Michelle’s ass.

Jerry doesn’t want to ever speak to Dan again. Michelle continues to beat to death her bitterness over the unitard competition.

Brian (from this season… not sure why considering who else is there) is back with one person from each of the prior seasons. Chicken George, Bunky, Amy, Jun, Jase, Janelle, Mike Boogie, Jen (at least it’s not what’s his name or his daughter), and Matt are all there to get another 15 seconds of fame. Current houseguests are playing for food. Returning houseguests are playing for cash. Dan is incorrect, not believing that Brett Favre is a New York Jet, so Mike Boogie gets $1k in cash, whereas the house is on slop for Monday. Renny doesn’t believe the ridiculous story that gas is over $6/gallon, so the house gets food for Tuesday. Jerry thinks that Jessie, who was evicted like 8 hours ago, has been offered a magazine cover already, so the house is on slop for Wednesday, and Janelle wins some cash. Chinese officials have banned bald and smelly cab drivers, which Memphis gets incorrect. Ollie doesn’t believe China can prevent rainfall, which they apparently can, so the house is on slop for another day. Libra gets her question wrong as well, as Cheech and Chong have apparently reunited. Michelle doesn’t believe that the earthquake was fake, and she is right, so she wins a feast for the house. April believes that Britney Spears is going to create a country album, putting the house on slop for Saturday. Keesha gets the final question right, scoring the third non-slop day for the week.

Michelle believes Dan’s in an alliance with Libra, Renny, and Keesha. Huh? She also doesn’t realize or care that April nominated her two allies last week, yet now April all of a sudden wants to be her best friend.

Nominations
April is safe.
Memphis is safe.
Ollie is safe.
Jerry is safe.
Renny is safe.
Dan is safe.

Libra and Keesha have been nominated for eviction. Pretty obvious result considering their unnecessarily bold move last week. And in case you missed it the first few times, Jerry hates Dan.

Big Brother 10 Episode 12

As a special programming note, this episode of Big Brother 10 will be preempted in some markets for preseason football (impacted markets include IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MO, NY, OH, and RI). Check your local listings to find out when the show will air.

In Big Brother 10 Episode 11, everybody got into a fight with… everybody else. Except Dan. Jessie hates Libra (still) and vice versa. Keesha, after having thrown away the opportunity to get rid of Jessie last week when the rest of the house begged her to take him out, has decided that she now hates him, too. She also apparently hates April. And Renny hates Jerry because, well, I never did figure out why. Michelle hates Libra because she’s a sore loser. Memphis still hates Jerry for calling him a womanizer. At the end of the day, all this arguing didn’t make much difference, and veto winner Jerry kept the nominations the same, so it will be either Memphis or Jessie heading home tonight.

Memphis says there is no alliance any more. Yeah, no kidding. These idiots have gotten picked off like flies.

Like last week when Keesha promised Jessie his safety despite nominating him, April has also promised him safety despite nominating him. Hopefully he won’t take the opportunity to be an asshat again. Once again, the rest of the house feels threatened by Jessie. This time, though, I’d say he’s the less threatening of the two options. Keesha, who flat out refused to get rid of Jessie last week, is mad at April because she is doing the same thing. So is the word I’m searching for here moron or hypocrite? Libra’s also mad because Jessie is (as usual) coming after her if he ever wins anything again.

Keesha and April know they have Renny, but they need a fourth vote to make a move. That fourth vote is Dan (aka America, unbeknownst to them) because they know they won’t get the support of Jerry, Michelle, or Ollie on this issue. Dan gives them his word that he’ll vote with them. The good news for Dan is that America’s already made it apparent to him that nobody likes Jessie. This is the pathetic part, though. BB complains about outside influences, yet they’re letting a public vote singlehandedly shape the entire rest of the game.

April has figured out the same thing. She has Jerry go to Dan to try to convince him to vote to get rid of Memphis. He listens but doesn’t really make any commitments. Dan realizes that, either way, this America’s Player nonsense will screw him, but he’s better off if America votes out Jessie.

Michelle says she loves the unitard. At least she’s done whining about it.

Keesha says that none of the drama from her birthday party has been forgotten.

Libra answers a viewer question that she doesn’t regret taking the trip to Hawaii (probably worth about $10k) instead of a letter from home because her family wants to go somewhere and they’re in good hands anyway. Why are we even dwelling on this anyway?

April thinks she’s still allied with Libra and Keesha. She takes credit for saving them and isn’t happy with how they’ve treated her this week. April wants Memphis gone because he hasn’t made any effort to get her support.

Votes
Michelle-Memphis
Ollie-Memphis
Jerry-Memphis
Libra-Jessie
Keesha-Jessie
Renny-Jessie
America-Jessie

What a silly, silly show. By America’s vote, Jessie has been evicted from the Big Brother house. The lines in the house have been redrawn. Not sure to what. Jessie blames Dan, who he claims swore up and down that he was safe. And apparently the fact that Dan doesn’t go to church on Sundays is a problem. Jessie doesn’t regret any of his asshattery. April’s shocked that the person she nominated for eviction has actually been… evicted. Libra tells him good riddance. Keesha tells him the same. As does Renny. Michelle vows to get revenge for him.

Obnoxious wake up calls are back. This proved to be entertaining last time they did it during All Stars. The no apparent reason for this becomes somewhat apparent because the HOH competition is based on those wake up calls (yeah, lame). Everybody gets the first question right. Renny and Ollie are eliminated on the second question. Jerry, Dan, April, and Memphis are eliminated on the third question, leaving Libra against Michelle. Michelle is correct on the fourth question and wins HOH. Big surprise. April celebrates more than she did when she won HOH, and Libra and Keesha’s insistence on screwing over their alliance has come back to bite them just 5 minutes after the fact. Major coup followed immediately by a realization that it was an unnecessary move, the kind of stupid game ending move somebody always makes at this point in the game. Memphis is quick to let Michelle know he doesn’t want anything to do with the people who saved him.

BB10 Spoilers

Wipeout Season 2

ABC announced today that it has picked up Wipeout for season 2 following a strong debut in its first season. Not much in the way of details (summer show again?), but ABC’s gloating about ratings follows.

A hit summer series for ABC, “Wipeout” dominates Tuesday’s 8:00 o’clock hour in Total Viewers and across each of the key Adult demographics (AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54). In its six telecasts to date, “Wipeout” has consistently ranked as the No. 2 show of the week in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. On average, the ABC freshman series leads NBC’s competing new series, “Celebrity Family Feud,” in the hour by 2.4 million viewers and by 81% in Adults 18-49. Since its debut, “Wipeout” stands as the summer’s No. 1 TV program with Men 18-49 and Men 25-54, and is the No. 2 show in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, behind only NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” respectively. The No. 1 new series of Summer 2008 in viewers and young adults, “Wipeout” represents TV’s highest-rated freshman summer series (for any net) in three years in Adults 18-49 — since the initial season of “Dancing with the Stars” in Summer 2005.

4Real is a half hour Canadian celebrity show produced by Joaquin Phoenix. This series will air from 6-7 on Sunday nights this fall through October.

Big Brother 10 Episode 11

Jessie was nominated as usual in Big Brother 10 Episode 10, but as with last week, he was not the HOH’s intended target. Instead, April is aiming for his ally Memphis.

Michelle thinks the pawn typically goes home, which is true. The good news is that these dumbasses kept Jessie last week even though he was a dumbass.

Dan’s got a new task from America. He must hug Jessie for at least 10 seconds. America has issues. Either that or people are hoping to get a preview of Jessie’s gay porn debut. Dan decides to approach Jessie with a sob story about his girlfriend Monica. Jessie is very moved by the story, and Dan manages to pull off the hug for 17 seconds.

April selects at random Michelle for veto.
Jessie selects Libra.
Memphis selects Jerry.

Jessie’s happy to have his ally having his back. April has no confidence in either Jerry or Libra, and she doesn’t hide it from Libra. Libra walks out and begins discussing it with Keesha, who also has problems with April. Jessie is awakened by their loud conversation and overhears everything.

Jessie goes to April and tells her what he overheard. April gets it into her head that she’s going to argue with Libra. Ollie doesn’t have any problem with her putting a fresh target on her (their) head(s). While April and Libra are talking, Keesha gets pissed off and walks out of the room, wanting to know why April’s a bitch and who told her what she’d said. After some screaming in the other room about how she hates April’s guts, she returns to tell April how she feels in person. After some pushing, April reveals that Jessie was the one who told her about the conversation. Jerry enters the room to be the voice of reason. Then Renny decides she hates him and goes out into the other room to stir up Memphis.

Jessie decides he wants to argue with Libra. Libra tells Jessie she’s done arguing. Apparently. Wouldn’t know it by the amount of yelling she continues to do.

With that said, it’s time for a merry birthday celebration for Keesha. And they actually let them sing Happy Birthday. Shelling out the bucks to pay for that song instead of For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow… they must really want us to see this moment.

Michelle gets into the mix, asking if anybody even knows what the fight’s about. This just leads to more screaming. Keesha decides she wants Jessie gone and that he’s a little kid.

The veto competition is hockey. In each round, the players will shoot and try to get closest to the center of the net. Whoever is furthest away is eliminated and can choose a prize. Each eliminated person can keep their prize or exchange it with someone else. Memphis misses completely and is the first out. He gets the power of veto, which he probably won’t keep for very long. Michelle misses completely the next time and is eliminated next. She gets a Hawaiian holiday. Jessie is in the slot furthest from veto and is the third person eliminated. He gets a slop surprise, which may or may not come back to haunt him. He trades it with Memphis for the power of veto. April is eliminated next, leaving the two people she thought sucked most (Jerry and Libra) as the last two standing. She wins 10 gold bars worth $1,000 each, which can be used as she sees fit, including giving them to other players. She decides to keep this prize. Libra gets it right in the middle, and Jerry is the last one eliminated. He gets a letter from home, which he trades for the veto after agreeing with April to split the $10k three ways. Libra wins first place, a red unitard (used by Jen and Sheila). She trades it for the Hawaiian trip from Michelle. Memphis’ slop surprise is a one week slop pass, but he also chooses who will be on slop for a week. He picks Jerry and doesn’t believe Jerry will use the veto on him anyway.

Michelle makes it abundantly clear that she’s pissed off at having the unitard. She wants to quit the game. She complains to Big Brother that she’s been made a fool out of, so she makes a big scene to make a bigger fool of herself. Then she tells us Libra’s an unfit mother because she took a trip to Hawaii instead of a letter from home. Jessie promises her she’ll win the next HOH.

As planned, Jerry does not use the power of veto.

Like last week, the house wants Jessie out, but the HOH doesn’t want to hear it. Will they bow down to the HOH again? The irony here is that Keesha now wants Jessie gone, despite throwing away the opportunity to take him out last week.

As his final task, Dan will be voting the way America wants. This has badness written all over it.

BB10 Spoilers

The Mole 5 Episode 10

Paul’s execution in The Mole 5 Episode 9, brought us down to the final three: Nicole Williams, Craig Slike, and Mark Lambrecht.

Nicole thinks Craig is the mole. Craig thinks Mark is the mole. Mark doesn’t know who the mole is.

The players are shown a case with $50,000 in it. They can win the money if it doesn’t blow up first. They’ve got one hour. They have to figure out how to diffuse the bomb using just what’s in the room, which is a puzzle involving a map and times that will require their teamwork to succeed.

They get two of the four steps through with about half an hour left. They waste 15 minutes with incorrect letters in their final clue before figuring out that Nicole screwed up a bunch of letters. When they get under a minute left, they don’t have the clue solved, but they think they’re close, so they just decide to go with it because it’s going to blow up anyway. And they’re right, winning the task.

Pot total: $418,500 out of $778,000

The players meet in central Buenos Aires for their final mission, worth $75,000 (or the mole’s dossier if the first player to complete the mission chooses). They must figure out a street from a riddle then call Jon to confirm their first destination, where they will head and get photographed. Craig relies on his knowledge. Mark relies on the people and couldn’t care less that he has a map. Nicole screws up this task, too, except it really doesn’t help her to be moleish in this particular task.

Mark’s insistence on not using the map has him behind the others, while Nicole’s wasted a bunch of time unable to take a photo correctly. After Jon spells out the clue for her, she finally figures it out. Following that, though, she solves her second clue, but she’s not overly thrilled about the mission any more. Craig is the second person to figure out where his second destination. Meanwhile, Mark’s just completing his first task.

Having done this, he’s the first person to complete his second task, though. Nicole has completed her second task as well, or at least she pretends she has. She tries to pass a hot fudge sundae off as dulce de leche. Jon tells her not to cheat, so she says he sucks. Afterward, she does manage to get the right sweet. Craig also solves his second task, putting everyone even.

Craig and Mark both call Jon at almost the same time. Craig is a few seconds before and finds out his final destination. Craig has been looking to go to this particular bridge ever since they got to Argentina, and he knows exactly where it is. All Mark knows is that it’s the stupid bridge Craig won’t shut up about. Mark thinks he’s screwed, but because he’s a better runner than Craig, he manages to arrive first. Craig arrives second. Nicole, well, they have to send a car to go get her.

Mark has a choice to make. Should he take the $75,000 for the pot, or should he take the (probably useless) dossier? He decides to take the dossier.

Pot total: $418,500 out of $853,000

They round it up to $420,000, which is what the winner will be taking home.

The final quiz contains twice as many questions as the prior quizzes (20). And that’s where we leave off, waiting for the final results in the next episode.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of The Mole 5 episode 11, where we’ll find out who The Mole 5 winner is, which airs Monday at 10/9c on ABC.
