Sarah robbed Ben blind and got him in trouble with the law, while Tony’s demon friend came to the conclusion that Sam must be the Devil’s son in Reaper Episode 17.

The Devil takes credit for the lottery as one of his greatest inventions, which he calls the idiot tax. Sam wants to know how he met his parents, to which he gets a response that people who make deals with the Devil generally aren’t big on integrity. Enough of that now, though, he’s got a soul for him. A fortune teller who was hung by a bunch of clods with pitchforks for conspiring with the Devil (after she made a deal with him).

Sock wants his relationship with Josie to be effortless. If it’s just another job, he quits. So she fires him.

Tony’s got a new plan. Capture the Devil in Solomon’s cage. Sam warns him of all the death and destruction from last time reapeating itself. Sam doesn’t have to be involved, but Tony just needs Sam’s employee discount for all the supplies.

Sock hits on a hot demon girl. She decides she really wants a kiss. He doesn’t care that he feels weird after they kiss the first time, so he kisses her again… and passes out. He feels totally pumped now and starts acting like he ate a bag of sugar sticks and a six pack of soda.

Sam believes he’s seen Steve appearing as a stain on the wall, and Andi suggests that perhaps he isn’t quite so crazy to believe that.

The Devil forces Sam to spill the beans on Tony’s plan. He’s not at all concerned. But Tony’s real plan is not to capture Satan. Rather, he hopes to capture his son.

Sock’s newfound energy boost is gone, but Andi’s on to new things and has spent hours finding the soul. The boys know it’s the hottest girl within a few seconds, though. When they arrive at demon central with some lumber, they find the girl who kissed Sock. She apologizes for kissing him. It turns out she’s a succubus and has shaved about a year off his life. His plan is to just kiss her once a year.

Sam asks Tony about Steve appearing to him, and Tony’s mad that Steve would appear to Sam and not him. He also claims that God’s goodwill is never going to extend to demons. Then Sam tells him that the Devil may possibly know about the plans, but Steve’s not upset because those aren’t his real plans anyway.

Sock’s got a new buzz. Sam wants to know if he ate 16 pixie sticks.

They head to the fortune teller. She pulls Sam’s cards. He’s recently come into contact with his father, who is deceiving him about his birth, the Devil obscures the truth between himself and his father… and that’s where they leave it because she’s not going back to Hell.

Lucky for him, Sock’s full of adrenaline and manages to save him. But he’s not on drugs, which means that Ben shouldn’t tell his mom. Now Ben wants a taste of her since he knows the effect, but she doesn’t want to share. As a consolation, Sock will probably be dead in three years.

Sam confronts his father again. He wants to know the truth because his life is at risk every day, but his father is forbidden from telling him the truth.

Tony invites Sam out to demon central. He tells him he knows the secret his father’s not telling him and tosses him in the cage and informs him that he is the son of Lucifer. Sam’s father comes to the rescue and offers to explain everything. So he goes in the cage, too. Steve wanted to know about Cancun, where they took their first vacation, which he called Heaven. The glowing angel that appears before them confirms Sam’s story, and with that, Tony rescues Sam but not his father.

Now that his father’s dead and buried, Sam wants to know whether that was his actual father. His mom answers that, of course, he was. The Devil’s giving him some time off to mourn and spend time with his girl and friends. He’s still unconvinced that he’s not Satan’s son, though. Tony may have saved him, but those other demons won’t stop.

With that, the boys blow stuff up to honor the passing of the man who may or may not have been Sam’s biological father.

That’s the last of the new episodes for now. Reaper Season 2 starts its first of 13 episodes in midseason, presumably in January. Meaning there’s still one reason to watch this network.

Andi managed to overcome a crazed mind control guy to remember she loved Sam in Reaper Episode 16. Ben, meanwhile, learned that life’s too short to not date even though he’s married.

Ben and Sock are arguing over America’s favorite cat: Garfield or Heathcliff. Sam has to break up this meeting of the minds because The Work Bench has been closed for an hour. Sam hopes to follow them to the bar, but the Devil wants to see him. He insists he sit down for dinner. The Devil has a pleasant chat with a man named Mike, who turns out to be the escaped soul. Sam is warned that Mike’s quite the charmer. As instructed, he just points and shoots, capturing him in the vessel (a camera) by taking his picture.

Andi’s not happy that the Devil’s being so unfair and just zapping Sam away as he sees fit. He takes her to the DMV to meet Gladys, who believes that Andi doesn’t look mentally defective. She approves.

Sarah kisses Ben because the immigration officer is there. He wants to meet with them for an interview.

The Devil shows up at work to tell Sam that Mike’s free. Wasn’t quite as easy to capture as it seemed after all. There’s only one explanation: someone’s letting him out from the inside. There’s a mole in Hell.

Sam catches Mike sleeping with someone, which is typical for him. Sam captures him. Again. He doesn’t trust Gladys to send Mike back to Hell, though. With good reason. She frees him after Sam leaves.

Tony offers Sam help if he needs any. He doesn’t ask for anything, but Andi wants him to review the contract and find a way out.

Sock’s got an idea of how to convince the immigration officer that they’re married: naked photos in their family album. Sarah’s already got some photos of herself. Now it’s Ben’s turn.

Mike wants to take Sam out for a night on the town so that he can swim in sweeties. Sam actually seems to fall for it. The Devil thinks he’s got Hell locked down, so he’s not happy to hear that Mike was just in his elevator. Sam has a man crush on Mike and doesn’t understand what destruction Mike’s causing by breaking up other people by cheating with women on their husbands. The dead husband and wife get Sam to say he’s seen enough.

The immigration officer finds the album… charming. Ben has trouble getting Sarah’s mother’s name right. He can’t get his own mother’s name right either. The case has been red flagged. They’re warned they’ll be in front of a judge Monday morning. Sarah will be going home, and Ben will be in jail.

Sam goes home to get the contract from his parents. He gets a guilt trip from his father about it, but they agree to give it to him. They call an obviously drunk Ben who plans to go out in style since he knows he’s toast. When they get to the bar, they see Mike with Gladys. Sam knows she’s the leak. They barge into her house and try to capture Mike, but he’s not going willingly. Sock says he’s more than willing to allow Gladys to die. Mike calls his bluff, stabs her, and runs.

They grab the dead demon body and put it in the car. Sam decides to go to Tony’s to get his help, but he’s not at home. While they’re preparing to dig her grave, Ben wakes up next to her. Just as they’re getting ready to dig, Tony shows up. They ask for assistance burying the dead body. He’s happy to help, but once he finds out she’s a demon, though, he knows she’s not really dead. Gladys is back, but she hasn’t learned her lesson. She’d rather be dead than lonely.

Perhaps the Devil can talk some sense into her.

Josie tells Ben that if he pays the fine (emptying out his savings account and then some), he may be able to avoid prison. Sarah, however, has no chance and will be deported. But Sarah says she has had a discussion with the immigration officer. He’s willing to accept a bribe. She asks Ben for his assistance and forgiveness. He forgives her. She needs the money by 5.

Gladys spills the beans to Sam about where Mike may be. Then she gives Sam her cat. She’s been reassigned back down to head office. Andi wants to save her from this, though Sam believes she’ll be fine (until she gets sucked down to Hell).

They’ve all got a wedding to crash to be able to capture Mike. The boys aren’t let in because they don’t have what you would call tuxedos, but Sam finds another way in and heads to a dark basement. He keeps flashing away with the camera, but his limited flashes aren’t helping. Just as he’s about to be strangled, Ben and Sock come to his rescue, shining a light on Mike and allowing Sam to capture him with the vessel.

Turns out Sarah made up the bribe just to get some money out of Ben. And Sock is eating the mac and cheese she left him in the fridge.

Tony’s demon friend realizes that there are pages missing from the contract, most likely to hide the identity of Sam’s real father.

Sam knows how the Devil can thank him: let Gladys go. He’s not buying it. A good plan and some fast talk doesn’t work. What’s needed is some puppy dog eyes and the word please.

The demons have a theory: Sam is the Devil’s son. That’s different.

After kidnapping Andi a couple times in Reaper Episode 15, Sam and his friends managed to convince her that his parents sold his soul to the Devil, and now he’s a bounty hunter who captures escaped souls and sends them back to Hell.

Sock gets a new car in which Sam and Andi can makeout and, more importantly, discuss demons, which she seems to find a lot more interesting. Andi swears she hears something. Maybe it’s the guy wielding a chainsaw. They barely manage to get away, with the car barely intact.

Ben’s new wife wants him to make the bed (that he doesn’t sleep in) and pick up the yoga mat in the kitchen (that he does sleep on). He really does need to clean up after himself more.

The boys go to see Gladys at the DMV. She pulls out the Hell’s Most Wanted list, which includes Abe Lincoln but no guy with a chainsaw, who she suggests is probably just a regular every day human. Ben gets what may be a better lead, though. He’s from a movie.

Cassidy doesn’t seem to be enjoying the fact that she’s only dating Ben in the hospital cafeteria. The wedding ring on his finger is a bit of a tip that something’s up. Once he explains, she’s okay being his mistress, as long as they go some place new, with a waiter… and a liquor license.

The Devil drops by to give Sam a present, a nice blade. Just in case. He brings him in a house where they walk in on Andi kissing Greg. She says she doesn’t get what’s going on and that she has temporary insanity or something.

Sarah’s got an announcement to make. She’s pregnant. Bad news for her husband Ben, who hasn’t even slept with her. She tells him her (married) boyfriend Esteban is the father.

Greg shows up at The Work Bench. Andi’s not interested, but he appears to have some sort of mind control powers to convince her otherwise.

The boys are driving around, and they are again attacked by a chainsaw-wielding madman. They shake him off, but he doesn’t seem to have any trouble with bashing his head into the concrete.

It turns out the Devil bought Greg’s soul in exchange for the power to get Andi to go out with him. Now the Devil wants Sam to kill Greg for him. Sam refuses. This goody two shoes attitude is going to get old real quick. The Devil wants him to learn that the only person playing by the rules is him.

Andi’s got some bad news for Sam. She has to break up with him. Sam tells her the truth, but it doesn’t matter because Greg’s got control of her mind.

Back to the DMV. Gladys still doesn’t have anything on her clipboard, but she may respond to bribes (someone to watch over her cat, which isn’t code for anything). She doesn’t have a vessel but knows a guy who may be able to help. They get a vessel and a lesson: the Devil can’t undo true love.

On Ben’s first real non-date with Cassidy, he tells her he can’t see her any more because he made a commitment to a crazy woman.

Sam’s got a plan to get Andi back. He’s going to remind her that she loves him, even though he hasn’t ever heard the term love come out of her mouth in reference to him before. He asks her if she loves him and gets a yes. He wants to get new jobs and run away to Buffalo to avoid Greg. That probably won’t work. Revealing the plan to Greg isn’t a good thing either. And then chainsaw guy shows up. Sam’s been sneezing because of Greg’s cologne, and the sneezing continues now. Greg’s id, his pent up rage, has been manifested as the killer in Greg’s favorite slasher film. The Devil rescues Sam and reminds him to kill Greg.

The boys have a shotgun with the wrong ammo and some plastic to clean up the mess. Greg opens the door, and Sock says they brought him a giant roll of plastic. He manages to realize he gave away his soul for nothing, as Andi still loves Sam. Then his body starts floating. Which is new. Out pops a guy with a chainsaw. Now he’s after Greg, too. Sam tries to convince Greg to calm down. Talking sense into him doesn’t work, but knocking him out with a trophy does.

Ben’s learned a lesson from the whole almost being killed by a madman debacle. He’s got a message for Sarah: he’s free to date, too.

Sam plays his get out of Hell free card on Greg. He knows he can’t use it on himself anyway because the Devil will screw him over some other way.

Sam and Andi finally went out on a date in Reaper Episode 14, though he managed to convince her that she just hallucinated all that stuff about her almost dying. The rebellion to bring down the Devil didn’t work, largely because the group of demons was too mean about it.

Sam’s making dinner for Andi. He insists he wants to cook for her and that she won’t get food poisoning. An angry Tony shows up to interrupt the dinner. After roughing Sam up a bit, he agrees to cook for him, advising him he’s leaving town and dropping out of society. He hopes to rebuild the army and defeat the Devil. Andi overhears the last part of the conversation, which doesn’t sound like it’s from the cookbook as Sam claims.

Josie and Sock are together again. Now Ben’s moping.

The Devil brings Sam to a soccer game, where he tells him a bunch of the kids have the same father, Jack King, who’s also the proud father of a few hundred other children. He works at a sperm bank. Sam gets a cool vessel, a retractable sickle. Andi catches them while they’re toying with it. They pretend they already ate when Andi asks about lunch. Instead, they head off to the sperm bank, and this time Andi follows them. After filling out an application, they go into Jack’s office, sickle in hand. Then they decapitate him… in front of an open window… with Andi watching. They may have some explaining to do. He ain’t dead, though. They need to hack him a few more times. His head’s still alive and talking. They’re pretty sure he’s gone once they get rid of his head, but they don’t realize his hand’s still alive.

Ben has a chat with a girl at work, who tells him his Phil Collins (aka soulmate) is out there.

Sam brings Andi some flowers. Her response is to attack him and accuse him of killing somebody. He promises her there’s an explanation. He just can’t tell her what it is, but after a threat of calling the cops, he tells her to just give him some time to talk to his other boss about his other job so he can tell her the truth. He’s got 24 hours to come clean.

Gladys at the DMV wonders why Sam’s got a note attached to the vessel. She agrees to send it without asking questions. The Devil got the note, but he’s more concerned about the vessel, which is missing a piece. He meets sam at a video store, where the surveillance tape shows Jack, who managed to regenerate himself. Sam asks for permission to tell Andi the truth, agreeing to a favor, a terrible favor one day in the future in exchange. So now he’s got another deal with the Devil.

Ben’s got a surprise for the boys. They have a new roommate, Sarah from work, who is also now Ben’s wife. She needed a greencard, or so he says.

Andi wants to hear the news sober. Sam wanted to be tactful about it, but Sock’s got an easy explanation. Sam works for the Devil. She walks away because she wants a real explanation. If Sam can’t handle the problem, the Devil will handle it for him. Ben and Sock have solved the problem, though. They kidnapped her and threw her in the trunk, though they haven’t planned what they’re going to do with her after that. Sam opens the seat up to talk to her from the other side, bringing her a juice box to play nice. She lies to him, but he doesn’t buy it. So she attacks him, but it takes a while for the other guys to notice because they’re distracted. They do notice eventually, though, and rescue Sam, but Andi promises to kill all of them.

This leads them to a theory. Go visit Tony and his band of demons in the country to scare Andi into believing the truth. Once Tony turns into his demon form, she seems to believe it. Problem is they left the keys in the car, so she steals it and drives off. Sam loves her, but he’s sick of being patient.

Jack goes to the hospital to take pictures of his new kids. He’s not sure how many of them are his. The boys show up at the hospital, where Sam’s greeted by the Devil. He fixed his problem with Andi. She’s in the trunk. Apparently his idea of fixing things is the same as Ben and Sock’s. Sam talks to her again, and she won’t tell. She can’t handle it, so he tells her he loves her. She’s afraid of him. Probably not the response he was looking for.

Ben looks for the maternity ward, but on his way, he meets up with a woman with green eyes reading a Sue Grafton novel who likes mixed martial arts. It’s his soulmate after all. Too bad he’s married now.

Sam and Sock spot Jack. He really wants to escape, so he cuts off his hand. Sock’s off to get the hand. Sam will handle the rest. As Sam’s fighting Jack, Jack manages to get the sickle away from him. Andi comes in and inadvertently kills Jack. Now Sock needs to deal with the new naked Jack, but he manages to escape. Sam hunts him down, though, and that takes care of the last of the pieces.

Ben wants to go out with the girl he met at the hospital, but his wife won’t let him. Go figure.

Andi shows up at the bar, and she seems to be over the whole fear thing. Now that that’s done with, though, it’s time to pay up the favor. The Devil wants an inside man to betray Tony and get him information beyond the circle.

After the boys found out that Tony and Steve are demons, they began avoiding them in Reaper Episode 13. Steve doesn’t get all the demophobic behavior, particularly since he knows Sam’s a reaper but hasn’t treated him any differently. With that in mind, though, Steve would like Sam’s assistance… to take down the Devil. Andi came even closer to being dragged into this demon… stuff, as she had a run in with the acid queen, who tried to kill her.

Andi’s fine, but she’s not sure whether she’s seen hallucinations. The doctor tells her it’s not unusual or anything to worry about. Only it’s not a doctor. It’s a guy the boys paid to trick her, and he’s covered his tracks by handing her a bottle of pills Tic Tacs.

The moron who lived at the apartment before them hasn’t left a forwarding address, so they’re getting all kinds of free stuff. This time it’s a bunch of alcohol.

For some unknown reason, Sam doesn’t have any interest in going out for a banana split with the Devil. He wants to get right to the soul. The guy was a lawyer (a lot of those in Hell). He’s back bleeding people dry… literally. At least he knows who he’s looking for, as Cubby Bryce, an ambulance chaser, has his photo on the bench that the Devil’s transported Sam to.

Andi returns to The Work Bench. Sam doesn’t know whether to hug, kiss, handshake, or bow. So he does some mix of the lot, settling on an awkward hug. She’s realized now that life is short. She knows they kissed (she’s pretty sure she didn’t hallucinate that), and she wants to go on a date with him. He says yes because if he doesn’t she’s going to have to slap him upside the head.

Josie’s there, and Sock is happy to see that his mark is still all over her, like dog pee. She decides that, since it means so much to Sock that she’s wearing the scarf he gave her for Christmas, she’ll give it to the first random person she sees, which happens to be Ted.

Steve and Tony both invite Sam into their lair. Tony wants to be subtle. Steve just blurts it out: they’re part of an underground alliance of demons planning to overthrow the Devil. They’re angry that they were cast out of Heaven for eternity and believe that Lucifer’s leadership is taking them in the wrong direction. They want Sam’s help since he talks to the Devil, and in return, once they overthrow him, he won’t be able to collect any more souls, including Sam’s.

Ted wants a word with his peeps. He asks Sock to give him Josie’s phone number. This won’t end well. Sock writes a number on his hand and tells him to go forth and hit that thing.

Steve and Tony take Sam to their headquarters for a Demons Anonymous meeting. All the demons talk about the good they’re doing to undermine the Devil. Bob has a problem, though. He tried to eat a child on Wednesday. Happens to the best of us. He let the kid go and called his sponsor, who bailed him out of this jam. The plan is to be nice and do charity to get Lucifer to beg them to stop. Shouldn’t take more than a few hudred years at this rate. Sam’s disappointed by the lack of aggressiveness and leaves. Even the fundraising efforts aren’t enough to convince him this isn’t a joke. Tony agrees with Sam that this isn’t going to work quickly enough, particularly with a human lifespan, as people die so quickly like goldfish. His plan is to ram a nuke down the Devil’s throat. I don’t think that will work either.

Sam gets a call from Cubby and arranges to meet him after work for a workman’s comp case. Then he steps over his latest (now dead) victim. Sock’s real interested in this case once he hears how much money could be made. Sam reminds him they’re there for an ambush, and they attack. Not very well, but it’s enough to get the job done.

Ted tells Sock that he had a date with Josie last night and that she wants him to hook up her DVR, which is code for touching parts. His theory is that Josie likes to date down, which is why she went out with Sock.

The demon group has prepared a human sacrifice for Sam. According to Bob, who used to work at legal in Hell, this will get Sam out of his contract. The sacrifice’s soul takes Sam’s place in Hell. I say go for it, dude. Sam refuses to take part in this. They agree to return the drug dealer to the park rather than killing him. Sam insists he’s not the Devil’s friend. The devil’s just kind of… clingy. He’s not so sure they’ll be able to hurt the Devil if he lets them summon him, but Tony’s demon form is pretty convincing.

Josie tells Sock he’s not some sort of loser. Ted’s another story, but Sock manages to scare him away. He tells him he already hooked up Josie’s DVR. Twice.

Sam apologizes to the Devil for being rude and invites him out for ice cream. The Devil can’t eat ice cream, though, as punishment from God, but he goes anyway to watch Sam eat and talk about how he loved God and is glad he’s no longer alone now that he has Sam as a friend. Sam complains that he can’t even get in touch with him, so he gives him his private cell phone number, with a Phoenix area code.

Tony’s got a sword, the one that brought Lucifer down the first time, and he plans to get the group of demons together to do it again. Sock and Ben don’t get why Sam’s having second thoughts. Sock smacks him upside the head a few times, some of them just for fun.

Then Andi shows up for a gropefest. She’s happy that she can trust him. He tells her he’ll never lie to her, although he doesn’t mind messing with her head, leaving out big chunks of information. He can’t talk about a tiny, tiny part of his life (the part where he hunts down escaped souls from Hell for his friend the Devil, often putting those closest to him in grave danger). She’s okay with this.

Steve interrupts them and forces Sam out of the apartment for coming between him and Tony. Tony’s getting a little tired of Steve’s pacifist ways and can’t understand it coming from the guy who recruited him for Lucifer’s war on God. Steve still wants to redeem himself in the eyes of his creator. Tony mostly just still wants to kill the Devil.

Ben realizes why Cubby’s name sounds familiar. His name’s on all the packages they’re receiving, and they’ve been drinking his beer. He must have lived there before he died, which can’t be a coincidence. The lease was signed by Satan, and their theory is that this whole thing is just a trap. They call Sam to warn him. He’s kind of in the middle of a rebellion, so it’s not really a good time to talk. Just then the Devil shows up. He kills Bob and grabs the sword, which is actually a fake from Koreatown. Then he blows up the building, but at least he spares Sam. Sam believes the original plan was going to work, but the Devil’s not worried since everybody in the world isn’t good and never will be.

As it turns out, Tony’s not exactly what you would call dead. He’ll be back looking for more.

Sam, Sock, and Ben moved into their own apartment in Reaper Episode 12. Their new neighbors Steve and Tony cooked for them, did their laundry… and were demons. Sam wasn’t having much more luck with the ladies, as following Andi’s warning to be careful of Cady, who may or may not be Satan’s daughter, Cady decided to go to New Mexico to get away from Sam for a while.

They’re stuck living next door to demons because their lease apparently doesn’t contain a no demon clause.

Andi finally tells Sam the truth. She wants to be more than just friends.

Steve and Tony come over with freshly baked muffins. They want to know why they’re being ignored. “It’s not you. It’s us.” So they leave before they do something they’ll regret. And take their muffins with them.

Sock suggests that Sam break up with Cady and be with Andi, rather than being with Cady and secretly pining for Andi. Andi apologizes for having put them in an awkward position.

Sam opens a crate that says 666 on it. That can’be be good. Inside are some bubbles. Then the Devil transports him to a photo shoot, and after attempting to have an inappropriate conversation, he shows him someone burned by acid.

When they see Tony and Steve in the hall, the boys run the other way, and not very subtly.

They find Nicole, the soul, who’s pretty hot, especially for a dead chick. She used to work at Seattle’s hippest fashion magazine, of which for some reason Sock is a big fan. They go there and find a guy who works there, who tells them she got into a fight a couple years ago with Angela, a cover girl who beat Nikki for a contract. He suggests a club where they might run into Angela. When they arrive, they find both Nicole and Angela in the VIP area, but they have to jump the bouncer to get in. The distraction allows Sam to sneak past. Once inside, he finds the acid queen, but she escapes through a hole she creates in the wall.

Steve and Tony show up at The Work Bench and again ask Sam what’s wrong. Sam finally tells them the problem is what they are, but he’s not a homophobe. He just doesn’t like demons. They know he’s a reaper and don’t get why he’s not willing to accept them. Apparently, they have not eaten anybody.

The boys track down Nicole at the magazine but are unable to get the vessel to work. Blowing bubbles is harder than it looks. Sam wants to just be dropped off at the apartment, where Nikki’s waiting for him. He’s still having trouble blowing bubbles, but Steve swoops down to save him.

The Devil warns Sam about his two little demon neighbors, a sure sign he may well be able to trust them. Steve’s still upset about the demophobic behavior. He comes around when he hears that Sam knows the Devil, though. He happens to mention that Tony’s involved in a party for Seattle Style magazine. The party’s the same night as Sam has plans with Andi, but Tony thought of everything and has a ticket for her as well.

Just as Sam’s done kissing Andi at the party, he gets a call from Cady. As he’s talking to her, Andi walks off, with Nicole right behind her. Someone who thinks Sam’s a valet gives him the keys, so he of course takes his car and drives it into Nicole. Then he throws Andi into the car and drives off. If she didn’t get what was going on before, she might now. With a little bit of acid, Nikki’s able to cause the car to flip upside down. It’s a good thing Sam has his bubbles with him and is able to figure out how to use them.

The guys are okay, but Andi’s the one heading to the hospital this time. The Devil reiterates his previous warning: the people Sam cares for are fair game. Oh, and a lifetime of meaningless cheap one night stands may not be so bad. Sam plays dumb and tells Andi it was just a car accident.

When Sam gets home, Steve invites him into his lair for a private chat that nobody on the planet can hear, including the Devil. He thinks it’s unusual that the Devil actually talks to Sam, but he still wants him to fight him.

Sam had two really hot chicks fighting over him in Reaper Episode 11. For some reason, he considered this to be a problem. He eventually made up with both Cady and Andi, though he and Andi decided that everybody would just be friends… again. Sock’s mother has decided to throw him out of the house so she can be alone with her new Asian cowboy husband Morris.

Sock is now living at The Work Bench.

Sam takes Cady to go out with the guys, and she’s the first girl to infiltrate their bowling, for whatever that’s worth. She proceeds to kick their butts with strike after strike, including one that mysteriously bounces out of the gutter right into the center of the lane. Between this and her snoring “like she’s a creature from the underworld,” Sam’s getting suspicious she may just be the spawn of Satan.

When they arrive at work, Ted’s holding a meeting. He’s worried about missing merchandise and will be installing an extensive video camera system throughout the store. Sock proceeds to steal something, but since he lives there, it’s not stealing if it’s your own house.

Sock takes the boys to an apartment he’s found that’s $1200/month. His plan is for them to be roommates with him, and he’s already forged their signatures on the lease. Ben’s in. Following a guilt trip, Sam agrees as well.

The Devil comes to assign Sam with a soul, Herbert, a hermit who lived in the woods and hunted anybody who went through his neck of the woods. His hunting grounds are now a city park. Since Sam gives him an attitude about knowing what he’s doing, the Devil offers him no additional information. The vessel is a food processor.

Josie wants Andi to tell Sam about Cady’s little psycho visit.

Cady stops by The Work Bench asking dumb questions like: why did you move without telling me? Once they get past that, she sees a camera, part of Ted’s new security system. She decides to give him something interesting to watch. As they’re kissing, glass cracks behind her. Sam tries to ignore it again and again but presses his luck one time too often, and the glass shatters all over the floor.

When the boys get back home, they have the ultimate video game setup complete with three TV’s. Unfortunately, this only lasts about two seconds, so they go to see the neighbors. The neighbors invite them in, to which Sock responds, “No thanks, we’re straight.” Once someone with more tact answers, they ask for some assistance, and Tony is handy enough to be able to figure things out. Then Steve invites them over for dinner the next day, since their fridge is empty. It’s a date. Or a get together with some dudes.

While walking through the forest, they decide the trees look familiar, so they have Ben climb a huge tree. Then he falls. Right on a dead body buried under some leaves. So now Sam comes up with a plan to go jogging in the creepy woods where the soul’s been killing people. The theory of being bait does allow them to be close enough to hear the next victim’s scream. When they approach, Sock steps in a trap and is upside down. An invisible man then approaches and attacks them, but he’s scared by some dogs. Now that they know the soul’s invisible, they head back to The Work Bench to get supplies for paintball. The Devil has a better idea: he gives Sam some glasses so he can see the true face of evil. In an effort to prove he doesn’t need help, though, Sam gives them right back.

Andi gets another visit from Cady, who wants to know what’s going on with Sam lately.

Sock’s got some new clothes, and he’s happy to be living next door to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

When they go to dinner, Sam spills some food on himself. When Steve offers to help, this gives them some time to chat, which leads to a discussion about home security and motion detectors that prevent against all the threats you can’t see.

Ted walks in to The Work Bench and finds out that his security system has been stolen. So now he has to buy more cameras so he can watch his cameras.

When the boys arrive, they see that there’s a charity run through the park. Sock stops people from protecting the trees, revoking their permit to run through the park, and instead telling them to hug a tree. The plan works. They spot Herbert and paintball him so that he’s somewhat visible. Only problem is Sock has the vessel, but he gets back just in time to let the vessel slice and dice.

Following the second visit from Cady, Andi warns Sam to be careful.

The Devil insists on knowing what’s wrong with Sam, and Sam reluctantly agrees to talk about it. He asks for the truth for a change. He wants to know whether Cady’s his daughter, and the response is no, which he doesn’t believe. With that in mind, the Devil leaves behind a present, the glasses, just in case Sam ever wants to see somebody’s true colors.

Sam puts the glasses on when he goes to see Cady, and all he sees is a normal girl. He wants to talk, but she doesn’t want to hear it. She wants to take some time off and head down to New Mexico to see her mother.

They’ve replaced their parents with a couple of gay guys, and they’re quite happy about it. Sam heads across the way to pick up his clothes, which they took to Steve and Tony’s to get laundered. When he arrives, he sees they’re using sanders on their horns.

Reaper went on hiatus after the writers strike, but fresh episodes are back. We left off in December in Reaper Episode 10. Sam was dating Cady, who may or may not be the Devil’s daughter, and she was unknowingly killing things.

We start off with Sock shooting Ben. Not sure whether they’re warming up for demons or if Sock’s just having fun. Then his mom pulls up with an Asian cowboy and says she has wonderful news.

When Cady and Sam are making out, she finds a necklace on his dresser. She assumes it’s a gift for her, even if it was originally intended as a gift for Andi in Episode 8. Then Sock walks in to say he shot a cowboy and might have punched him, too. He sleeps over Sam’s house and sets his alarm for 4:30am so they can talk. He also talks to Sam’s father while he’s getting dressed and his mom while she’s in the shower.

When they arrive at work, Sam makes Sock go flying across the parking lot into some Christmas trees (I’m sure this story made more sense back in December when it was… actually Christmas). Andi hopes to use this to play a prank on Ted, who’s terrified of a lawsuit.

Sam shows up to meet the Devil and sees a body floating on the water, when he’s told about a cannibal who always finishes his meals and eats at night. While they’re talking, the Devil sees a really bad/angry at his ex wannabe rocker and wants to seize the opportunity to strike a deal. Sam basically calls the Devil a morally bankrupt evil being, so he pushes him off the dock, where he lands in a pile of presents with a new vessel.

Andi asks to meet Cady. She immediately notices the necklace and says Sam showed it to her once, which he did, but she refused to accept it. That ends the conversation pretty quickly. Sam tells Cady the truth about the necklace, but she doesn’t take the truth very well. So now they’re both upset at him.

Ben and Sock say it’s not Sam’s problem if some guy wants to sell his soul to the Devil. They find out that Ryan, the wannabe rocker, is playing at a huge venue. The vessel is a speargun… much better than usual. They head to the morgue so that they can get a dental match on a “certain Jonathan Deere.” The expired ID with Sock’s picture pasted on doesn’t go over well, and they get kicked out of the morgue. Except they don’t leave willingly. They stick around to find out it’s the guy who kicked them out who’s been chowing down on people.

They head to the cannibal’s mother’s house to talk to her. They pretend they actually like him, a new story she hasn’t heard before. She tells them of how she “imagines” she sees him sometimes right after the sun goes down.

Sam approaches Ryan to find out if he signed anything, and when he finds out he hasn’t, he tells him to just walk away. He has trouble buying the story about how he’s going to spend eternity in Hell, and even if it is true, he just wants to prove everybody wrong and doesn’t care anyway. The Devil is actually happy about this because when Sam says Devil, it sounds sorta cute, getting Ryan over the initial shock.

Josie comes to ask Ben why they were at the coroner’s office, since her old ID badge was that the scene (with the “i” crossed out to spell Jose instead). They’ve got their story down. “Uncle Hector. Nintendo. I look nothing like you. Booyah.” So she punches Sock and tells them she’ll find out what’s really happening.

Cady agrees to meet Sam at the bar. She doesn’t know that Sam can get over Andi, but he says he’s with her, not Andi.

They go back to Mrs. Carmona’s house to see the cannibal. Sock, who’s still arguing with his mother, decides to go inside and see if she has any more pie. It turns out the cannibal didn’t want pie, though, so he ate his mother instead. An angry Sock chases him outside, where the other guys are waiting to capture him with the vessel.

Sam and Andi both apologize to each other and decide again to all just be friends again.

They want to use the soul as bait to convince Ryan not to sell his soul to the Devil. The soul’s not tempted by Canadian bacon, but he is tempted by Ryan and bites his hand off. He runs off, but Sam follows him and captures him again. Sam goes to visit Ryan at the hospital. His hand is back on, but he doesn’t remember anything after the second encore. He thinks a bear probably bit his hand off. He’s upset that the Devil won’t return any of his calls. His ex stops by the hospital as well, but she’s just there to make sure he’s not going to die or anything. Without any feeling in 4 out of 5 fingers, he agrees to give up rock and roll for her, so she takes him back.

Sock returns home to talk to his mom and her Asian cowboy husband Morris. He accepts the marriage, but she throws him out, claiming he’s too old to be living at home. His room is now a pottery studio.

Cady tells Andi a story about a girl from high school who she hoped to stab but instead just slashed her tires. But she’s been through therapy and can control her emotions now pretty much.

The Devil goes to The Work Bench to confront Sam. He makes all the shelves collapse. This isn’t him mad, though, just disappointed.
