The Biggest Loser Season 16 Episode 4

Another person who previously talked about going home, Chandra, was the latest person to be voted out in The Biggest Loser Season 16 Episode 3.

If you were enjoying 2 hour episodes of this show… tough. That is now over. We now return to our regularly scheduled squeeze it into the schedule wherever it will fit but not very well programming.

They are welcomed to The Biggest Loser lottery. One person will be going home for the week, and their weight loss will be the only one that counts for their team. They will also bring trainer with them, removing that access from the others. Is that a prize or a punishment?

As the person whose name is called last, Damien will be heading home this week along with Jessie. The silver lining, if there is one, is that Damien lost the most weight on his team for each of the last two weeks, and he seems the most likely to have a strong performance.

An injured Blake can only do low impact workouts. Of course, nutrition is more than half the battle.

Chandra is seeing Emmy able to do more than she is doing. I’m not thinking that’s a good sign, though it’s not guaranteed to be the determining factor either.

Damien’s mom died suddenly two years ago. He says that is a large part of his weight problem. At least they have identified an issue that is serving as a barrier.

First the Comeback Canyon weigh in.

Emmy: 239 pounds (-4, 1.65%)
Chandra: 317 pounds (-7, 2.16%)

After Chandra’s terrible 1 pound weight loss last week, it was pretty easy for her to put up a big number, and Emmy will be going home, though she’s already at a pretty reasonable weight relative to most of these people.

Now to the ranch.

Blake: 216 pounds (-8, 3.57%)
Jordan: 279 pounds (-10, 3.46%)
Scott: 315 pounds (-7, 2.17%)
Mike: 333 pounds (-10, 2.92%)
Rob: 421 pounds (-12, 2.77%)
Red Total: 1564 pounds (-47, 2.92%)

We are only four weeks in, but Mike has already lost enough weight to get off all his diabetes medications.

Rondalee: 250 pounds (-5, 1.96%)
Matt: 336 pounds (-10, 2.89%)
Woody: 361 pounds (-11, 2.96%)
Toma: 291 pounds (-11, 3.64%)
Sonya: 240 pounds (-9, 3.61%)
JJ: 347 pounds (-16, 4.41%)
White Total: 1825 pounds (-62, 3.29%)

Jackie: 267 (-4, 1.48%)
Gina: 217 pounds (-4, 1.81%)
Lori: 276 pounds (-8, 2.82%)
Damien: 344 pounds (-14, 3.91%)
Blue Total: 1104 pounds (-30, 2.65%)

Taking into account everyone’s weight (I’m pretty sure I got all the ladies right, since they sped through them in about 20 seconds since they did not count), the blue team would have lost the weigh in this week. However, Damien put up the second highest number of all, saving them and sending the red team to elimination instead. As The Biggest Loser on the losing team, Blake is safe, demonstrating just how important nutrition is to the equation.

Scott: Mike

Mike volunteered to go home for his team, as he considers them like his children, though Rob could not bring himself to vote that way. With 3 votes Mike is not The Biggest Loser.

From her starting weight of 260 pounds, Emmy is down 50 pounds to 210 today. She’s now running a 5K every month with her whole family.

Survivor: San Juan del Sur Episode 2

After what people saw on The Amazing Race, they gave the twins little chance for survival in Survivor: San Juan del Sur Episode 1, voting Nadiya out first.

Josh tells Baylor why he blindsided her by voting against her. He wanted to prove and strengthen their alliance. Oh. She’s not sure whether this is smart or sketchy.

Hunahpu (that name flows right off your fingers) may have lost their flint. Jon accepts the blame.

Speaking of The Amazing Race, the first commercial break (and the second commercial break) tells us it’s on Fridays, for those who didn’t know, which most people did not. Boy, CBS shot themselves in the foot with this one. TAR got beaten handily by Shark Tank, but it still did better than the newly humiliating Sunday night lineup.

The reward challenge is for fishing gear. John is selected, and he will go against his girlfriend Julie. They will balance balls on a large paddle through a series of obstacles, then roll the balls into slots on a table at the end. Julie runs away with the challenge, sending John to Exile. She’ll be sending Jeremy there with him again.

Before they head home, Hunahpu makes a proposal to Jeff. Having lost their flint, they need some. They don’t want to give up the fishing equipment. Rather, they want to give him their half eaten bag of beans. He would have accepted that trade if they made it before the challenge began rather than waiting to see if they won first. So his counteroffer is now that they must give up the fishing gear. No, not interested. He warns them they will need it eventually, and the price will go up. They reluctantly agree to forgo the reward they just won.

John’s secret, which was out within about 5 minutes of the show beginning, is now spreading. Everybody knows who he is, and they know his reputation.

At Exile, Jeremy gets the clue, while John gets the blank piece of paper. Though he believes he heard something about John making racist comments while he was with the Braves, he is still going to buddy up with him for the sake of the game, rather than writing him off and assuming he is no good.

The immunity challenge is a sumo style bashing with padded bags. Julie sits out for Hunahpu. Jaclyn beats Kelley. Drew beats his big brother Alec to tie it 1-1. Wes beats Jeremy to give Coyopa back the lead. Natalie beats Val, and it’s tied again. In a bloody battle, Jon beats John to give Hunahpu the 3-2 lead. After giving her daughter a bloody lip, Missy loses focus and loses to Baylor to tie it again. Reed beats his boyfriend Josh to take the 4-3 lead for Hunahpu. Dale beats Keith to bring us to one final tie breaking battle. Jaclyn’s birthday is not lucky, and Kelly wins immunity for the undefeated Hunahpu.

At least they weren’t dumb enough to go with that all female alliance last time because they are not having any success in the challenges as it is.

Jeremy shared the clue with John, and John easily finds the hidden (for lack of a better term) immunity idol.

Then he proposes a split vote: 3 votes for Val and 3 votes for Baylor. Just in case one of them has the idol. The idol that he has. Yet he still thinks Val has one, which she claims she does, and warns her to play it.

Fingers point at Baylor during Tribal Council. The girls are not happy because their plan backfired last week.

They are tied at 4 votes each. A revote will occur in which they can only vote for Val or Baylor, who will not vote.

With 4 votes, Val has been voted off the island. Even John, who promised her husband he would protect her, votes against her. He blames her because she did not play her nonexistent idol. As for the stray Baylor vote, Jaclyn seems to have failed to take the hint how the tribe was voting.

The Biggest Loser Season 16 Episode 3

Following another slow week, Emmy was voted out in The Biggest Loser Season 16 Episode 2.

The trainers have a surprise for the contestants. They have hung pictures in the gym of them from their glory days, like when they scored four touchdowns in a single game (in high school football).

During the workout, Lori breaks down. She wants to see her family. It’s been two whole weeks.

Alison warns them about a double header. There will be two challenges this week. The first challenge will be a quiz on what they are able to learn about nutrition in 5 minutes. It is a multiple (two) choice quiz. They must answer over or under about various food content. The team with the most points wins a two pound advantage. If they get the answer wrong… their trainer must eat the food. Though Jen does have to eat one heavy meal, the white team easily wins the challenge.

The second double header challenge has double the prize, a four pound advantage. Each team must pedal 24.8 miles with the resistance set to be an uphill climb. Woody sits out for the white team. There are four bikes for each team, leaving one extra person as a sub. Red team is the first team to 5 miles and then 10 miles. White team is falling behind. Blue team takes the lead at the 15 mile mark. Then red drops into third. Around the half hour mark, white team’s strategy of frequently swapping two people starts to pay off, and they take the lead.

White team wins another challenge, giving them a six pound advantage on the scale. Either that, or they can take letters from home. They keep the advantage, and the other teams get letters from home.

Now the Comeback Canyon contestants weigh in.

Andrea: 220 pounds (-4, 1.79%)
Emmy: 243 pounds (-6, 2.41%)

With her highest percentage weight loss to date, Emmy wins the weigh in, and Andrea is not The Biggest Loser.

Then it’s back to the ranch for the main weigh in.

Matt: 346 pounds (-7, 1.98%)
Rondalee: 255 pounds (-3, 1.16%)
Woody: 372 pounds (-4, 1.06%)
JJ: 363 pounds (-3, 0.82%)
Toma: 302 pounds (-6, 1.95%)
Sonya: 249 pounds (-4, 1.58%)
White Total: 1887 pounds (-27, -6, 1.72%)

Rob: 433 pounds (-5, 1.14%)
Blake: 224 pounds (-3, 1.32%)
Jordan: 289 pounds (-4, 1.37%)
Mike: 343 pounds (-9, 2.56%)
Scott: 343 pounds (-9, 3.30%)
Red Total: 1611 pounds (-32, 1.95%)

Damien: 358 pounds (-9, 2.45%)
Lori: 284 pounds (-3, 1.05%)
Jackie: 271 pounds (-2, 0.73%)
Gina: 221 pounds (-1, 0.45%)
Chandra: 324 pounds (-1, 0.31%)
Blue Total: 1458 pounds (-16, 1.09%)

Usually week 2 is the bad one, but this week saw a lot of low numbers instead. The blue team puts up the worst numbers. Is it just me, or is this Jessie guy unnecessarily hard on his team, certain members anyway? As the biggest loser on the losing team, Damien is safe.

Votes
Gina: Chandra
Chandra: Lori
Lori: Jackie

As the player with the lowest percentage of weight loss, with 2 votes, Chandra is not The Biggest Loser. Aside from her low number this week, she has also expressed an interest in going home before. It seems this is Lori’s saving grace.

From her starting weight of 240 pounds, Andrea is down to 180 pounds today. Her husband has also lost 50 pounds.

Big Brother 16 Winner

Caleb stupidly got himself eliminated, delusional to the end that Cody and Derrick were loyal to him, leaving a final three of Derrick Levassuer, Cody Calafiore, and Victoria Rafaeli.

Derrick has played the better game of the three. Nothing ever seemed to go his way, but it didn’t matter because whatever plan C he had to settle for worked out just as well. Everybody liked him, and he was never a target, not once being nominated.

Cody rode Derrick’s coattails. At the end of the day, he does not seem to have any chance unless he’s smart enough to drop him now and take Victoria.

Victoria is this season’s Cowboy, minus the relationships he managed to build. Anybody who takes her to the end should win unanimously.

The first part of the HOH competition is an endurance competition. They must hold on to a wall while being pelted most of the time with rain. Of course, Victoria is the first to fall. Derrick and Cody had planned to give Cody the win, but Derrick says he doesn’t know if he can beat Victoria in a mental competition. Oh come on now. Lie better. Derrick eventually reluctantly steps down.

Part two of the HOH competition requires them to match up the evictees and the people who were sitting up on the block against them. Derrick completes the challenge in 15:29 compared to Victoria’s 30:03.

Nobody in the jury house is surprised to see Caleb after he eliminated his only ally. Caleb continues to defend his stupid decision.

Dr. Will reveals Derrick’s game. He just had an alliance with everybody. And they all fell for it. That doesn’t necessarily make him a master manipulator.

As much as Derrick may have made friends and impressed people with his game, he’s not without his critics. Jocasta says he fake prayed with her, whatever that is, and Frankie talks about how Derrick claimed they bonded over the loss of their grandfathers.

Caleb and Jocasta claim they will vote for Victoria.

The final part of the final HOH competition is multiple guess fill in the blank.

Caleb said, “My favorite moment on the house was when I went on that amazing date with Amber.” Derrick is correct.

Frankie said, “The fatal error I made in the house was putting my faith in Beast Mode Coward.” Both are correct.

Christine said, “The houseguest who I think needs a reality check the most is Frankie. He only thinks about himself.” Both are correct.

Donny said, “The most annoying thing in the house was getting people to be quiet when it was my bed time.” Cody is correct.

Zach said, “The houseguest that made the worst nomination decision was me when I put up my own alliance member. What was I thinking?” Derrick is correct.

Nicole said, “The moment in the house that I’m afraid to have my friends and family see is kissing Hayden. So awkward.” Cody is correct.

Hayden said, “The most shocking moment in the house was Caleb took the $5,000 over the veto.” Both are incorrect.

Jocasta said, “Ranking my gameplay on a scale of 1-100, I give myself a 90, of course. A girl don’t go lower than that.” Both are incorrect.

The tiebreaker question is the number of seconds of the first part of the final HOH competition. Derrick says 3013; Cody says 3120. The correct answer is 3671. Cody wins HOH.

It would seem dumb for Cody to bring Derrick into the final two with him, but he seems pretty gungho on this deal they had.

Vote
victoria

Based on his diary room confessions, I’m not surprised. Like Caleb, he clearly values loyalty very highly.

Christine asks Derrick about how he sent everybody home, though he denied it while playing with them. He acknowledges playing a behind the scenes game.

Frankie tells Cody he’s the puppet, while Derrick is the puppetmaster.

Caleb asks whether Derrick manipulated them by using his family.

Hayden wants to know about Cody’s biggest strategic move that he made on his own. He has some answer about how he ran something by Derrick one week to flip the script.

Derrick thinks he should win based on never having been nominated, even with the double HOH twist.

Derrick tries to talk around Victoria’s question, but I think he admits that he was more loyal to his alliance than to her. Then he tells her she’s still his friend.

Cody seems to think that being nice to everybody should be enough to win. I’d buy that argument in other seasons, but Derrick is not unlikeable enough for it to work here. For the most part, this jury does not seem particularly bitter either.

Derrick admits he’s a cop, which does not surprise Frankie. His casting video reveals his strategy, which he stuck to very well.

The Big Brother 16 winner is Derrick. Cody just made a half a million dollar mistake. He had the chance to go against Victoria but decided to try to beat a stronger player instead.

The final prize is for America’s favorite houseguest. Why bother voting? We all know it’s Donny, who wins $25,000 with about half the votes. Zach and Nicole were the other two top vote getters.

Big Brother will be back again next year. Despite its fairly dull and predictable nature this year, the overall likeable cast managed to get people to tune in anyway and put up some pretty good ratings among adults 18-49.

Survivor: San Juan del Sur Episode 1

This season marks the return of Blood Vs. Water and also Exile Island. I’m not sure either twist necessarily helps the game, but at least neither should be particularly harmful.

The 18 contestants who make up the Survivor: San Juan del Sur cast have all come to Nicaragua with a loved one. The cast includes former Major League Baseball player John Rocker and loud mouthed twinnies Natalie and Nadiya from The Amazing Race.

The pairs all spend their first night on their own together before being split up for a while. They are given flint that they can use to try to make fire.

Reed & Josh are not surprised they could make fire with flint. They tell people they should not be surprised by having to make fire on Survivor.

Keith and Wes are goofy. They lost their striker. Then they broke their flint.

Natalie/Nadiya immediately acknowledge that they were on The Amazing Race. Though some people may think that’s a mistake, it’s not like they could hide that for long. Speaking of not hiding things, Keith says he knows John was a baseball player, and he knows he was an ass.

They draw for buffs.

Coyopa (orange): Alec, Baylor, Dale, Jaclyn, John, Josh, Nadiya, Val, Wes
Hunahpu (blue): Drew, Jeremy, Jon, Julie, Keith, Kelley, Missy, Natalie, Reed

This immediately leads to a reward challenge. Reward is fire and beans. Punishment is a trip to Exile Island. They will retrieve platforms using ropes that they have untied. Hunahpu nominates Jeremy, and his opponent will be his wife Val. Jeremy jumps out to a big lead and is the first to grab the first platform. She manages to get her first as well, but by this point the challenge is pretty much over. Jeremy wins reward for his tribe. In addition, he must choose someone from his tribe to join Val on Exile Island. He immediately selects Keith, who he calls a good outdoorsman, despite the fact that he broke his flint. The gay guys seemed a lot more competent on their own, even if you might not think that at first glance.

Dale is 16 years older than the next oldest person on his tribe, which for the most part consists of people in their 20s. He is an immediate outcast, but starting the fire using his glasses helps him get into their good graces.

Upon arrival on Exile Island, Val and Keith must each choose an urn. She gets a clue for an idol. He gets nothing. They find out that Keith and Jeremy (and also Keith’s son Wes) have something in common, even if they live in different worlds: they are firefighters.

John lies about his last name. Like his father, Wes almost immediately knows who he is.

The people who were on Exile return in time for the immunity challenge, where they will race to the top of a giant tower using bags of pieces they retrieve from an obstacle course. At the top, they must solve what the producers call the most difficult puzzle the show has ever seen.

Coyopa has a bit of a lead as they start rope tossing, which they will use to climb the first section of the tower. At the next wall, they will climb using pegs. Then they will get up the next section only using themselves. Coyopa still has the lead at the top of the tower, but this is all going to come down to the puzzle. Hunahpu wins immunity by being the first to complete what looked like a pretty simple puzzle.

So we’ve already gone through the first few days and had an immunity challenge. Now it’s time for Val and Keith to start learning people’s names.

Nadiya is an easy early target. Anybody who watched TAR probably does not have a positive opinion about her.

Val proposes an all female alliance. Well, that’s a stupid idea this early in the game. Nadiya wants to bring in Josh as the fifth girl, which Josh says he understands but finds offensive.

Dale’s only saving grace is that he started the fire, which he presumably mistakenly believes only he can do. They’ll get flint soon enough. Regardless, his name rises to the top of the chopping block.

With 5 votes, Nadiya has been voted off the island. At least the female alliance plan failed, though Josh declined to pick a side, voting for Baylor instead. A tie was avoided only because Baylor joined the guys in voting for Nadiya.

The Biggest Loser Season 16 Episode 2

Zina and Vanessa lost the challenge and were the first people who went to Comeback Canyon in The Biggest Loser Season 16 Episode 1. Losing that weigh in, Zina was sent home. Then Andrea was voted out because she said she wanted to quit, and she joined Vanessa.

I had counted this show out, and perhaps that’s how the chips will end up falling. However, last week’s ratings were not terrible. Actually, going up against football, they were pretty good, and they were awesome compared to the dreadful comedy block last year. Maybe it won’t be so bad after all. Until they cut it down to 1 hour per week. I’m not sure the last time I have regularly watched something on a Thursday. Probably back before Survivor moved. I have tried watching some of the ABC dramas, and everybody knows how quickly those get cancelled. One season. Maybe.

Blake decides she does not want to talk about her feelings. Dolvett kicks her out of the gym. Later, she reluctantly agrees to talk.

Their challenge is an obstacle course in which they must bust through walls (work, fear, responsibility, and food). The winning team will be guaranteed use of the gym this week. Mike will sit out for medical reasons. Sonya will sit out for the white team. Blue team has a slight lead, but they fall behind on the third wall. Red and white teams are neck and neck at the finish. White team wins by seconds. Blue is not close.

The white team can pick one other team to join them in the gym. Rondalee wants to bring the stronger team, but she is outvoted. The blue team will be joining them in the gym. They take offense to this decision.

Between red team’s big win last week and their inability to use the gym now, they have an uphill battle.

In addition to the typical you have pre-diabetes/sleep apnea talk, Dr. H has a new tool. He can scare them by showing them what they will look like if they keep gaining weight at the pace they are going. We find out that multiple people have parents with life threatening weight issues that they regardless have refused to learn from.

For Rob, he breaks out a wheelchair, which causes him to storm out of the room shouting. Either he can lose weight, or he will end up like his father.

Toma accepts that he needs to get through the grieving process of his father in order to lose the weight.

Now we go back to Comeback Canyon for a weigh in. Oh yeah, Bob’s still on the show, and he no longer has that weird moustache.

Vanessa: 347 pounds (-5, 1.42%)
Andrea: 224 pounds (-6, 2.61%)

Andrea easily wins the weigh in, and Vanessa has been eliminated.

Now back to the ranch.

Blake: 227 pounds (-8, 3.40%)
Emmy: 249 pounds (-5, 1.97%)
Mike: 352 pounds (-9, 2.49%)
Jordan: 293 pounds (-8, 2.66%)
Scott: 333 pounds (-10, 2.92%)
Rob: 438 pounds (-12, 2.67%)
Red Total: 1892 pounds (-52, 2.67%)

Toma: 308 pounds (-8, 2.53%)
Sonya: 253 pounds (-7, 2.69%)
Rondalee: 258 pounds (-8, 3.01%)
Matt: 353 pounds (-10, 2.75%)
Woody: 376 pounds (-12, 3.09%)
JJ: 366 pounds (-12, 3.17%)
White Total: 1914 pounds (-57, 2.89%)

Gina: 222 pounds (-6, 2.63%)
Lori: 287 pounds (-5, 1.71%)
Chandra: 325 pounds (-9, 2.69%)
Jackie: 273 pounds (-10, 3.53%)
Damien: 367 pounds (-14, 3.67%)
Blue Total: 1474 pounds (-44, 2.90%)

Why is new trainer guy (Jake’s cousin, whatever his name is) picking apart Gina for losing 2.63% but excited by Chandra’s 2.69%? This is why we go by percentages, not raw numbers.

Nobody did particularly badly this week, especially for week two, but the white and blue teams managed to edge ahead of the red team. As The Biggest Loser on the losing team, Blake is safe.

Votes
Scott: Emmy
Jordan: Emmy
Rob: Emmy

With 3 votes, Emmy is not The Biggest Loser. The team voted based on numbers, as Emmy was the smallest loser both last week and this week.

From her starting weight of 366 pounds, Vanessa is down 45 pounds to 321 today.

America’s Got Talent Season 9 Winner

I had to stop watching AGT last year about half way through because I was having trouble with my ears and never realized until then just how obnoxiously loud this show can be, but I have since gotten back into it and been following along for this season.

I really liked the magicians. Too bad we’re left with mostly lame singers that nobody will remember in a month (Jackie Evancho is the only exception to this trend), one of whom will probably win like every year in a show that ultimately devolves into American Idol with some variety thrown in. At least it’s not as bad as New Zealand’s Got Talent, where every single act in the finals was a music act.

The remaining final six contestants with a shot at the “$1 million prize” are singers Quintavious Johnson, Miguel Dakota, and Emily West, band Sons of Serendip, acrobats AcroArmy, and lone surviving magician Mat Franco, not coincidentally the most attractive one of the lot.

Anybody expecting any results before 90 minutes into the show is presumably disappointed. Makes more sense to just read about it online.

In sixth place is Miguel Dakota. I’m comfortable with any of the others advancing, but I have been fast forwarding him because I have been over it.

In fifth place is Quintavious Johnson. I had thought he would finish higher than that, but the other competition ahead of him is pretty stiff.

In fourth place is Sons of Serendip. Of all the singing acts, this is the one that stood out most to me, between the singer and the unique blend of instruments you don’t usually see people playing.

In third place is AcroArmy. I never quite felt as impressed with them as I was with Britain’s Got Talent Series 4 winner Spelbound, but they were an amazing act and really the only one in the finals that kept getting better and better as the season progressed.

The America’s Got Talent Season 9 winner is Mat Franco, leaving Emily West as the runner up. I did not see that one coming. His act was certainly top notch, but I’ve gotten so used to people voting for chicken catchers just because they can sing, although to be fair, that has not happened since before Howard joined the show and Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. won (bet that’s the first time you have heard that name since 2011). As for Emily, as singers go, she was one of the more polished we have seen on this show.

Big Brother 16 Episode 38

Frankie was evicted in Big Brother 16 Episode 37 after the stupid button he was so excited to press backfired. Then Derrick won HOH.

Even on his way out, Frankie delusionally tried to convince the others that he single handedly will be the determining factor behind who wins the game. Apparently, he also has millions of followers. I’m pretty sure the jury have already made up their minds.

Victoria already knows she’s going on the block because she’s the professional pawn, and Caleb agrees that he doesn’t care if he is put on the block, not at all suspicious that Cody and Derrick are the real alliance. Of course, it really does not matter all that much because the veto winner is the person who will send someone home, unless Derrick wins.

Nominations
Victoria & Caleb

The final veto competition of the season is the standard match evicted houseguests with two corresponding clues. Derrick has no interest in winning because he certainly does not want to be the one to tell anybody he won’t be saving them. We can count Victoria out as usual. It doesn’t even matter what the competition is to do that. This leaves the battle between Caleb and Cody. Caleb is likely fighting for his life, but he may be dumb enough to save Cody if he wins. Cody seems pretty confident he will win, while Caleb is pretty confident he won’t. That’s how it turns out, as Cody wins the power of veto.

Vote
Cody: Caleb

By a vote of 1-0, Caleb has been evicted from the Big Brother house. For whatever reason, before voting, Cody reveals his final two alliance with Derrick. I’m not sure Derrick’s hands are quite as clean as he may want now. Perhaps that’s why Cody did what he did.

Caleb’s parents say he believes strongly in loyalty, but they know he just made a dumb move (that he still defends) and stayed loyal a week too long, ironically by eliminating the person who would have been the most loyal to him, Frankie, who also eliminated the person most loyal to him, Zach. This has just been an ongoing theme of stupid… when they weren’t picking off the hapless girls. As much as I’d like to say Derrick is a strong player, much of his dominance comes from being surrounded by idiots.

The schedule is getting a shake up again. It’s almost like The Biggest Loser. Just stick it in whatever random time slot you can because something more important needs the better time.

The waste of time recap episode will air on Friday, the same night as the other John de Mol show Utopia, which last night I found watchable now that they have gotten rid of the convict. I think the editors have finally learned that people may respect conflict but don’t want it to come from deliberately pushing unstable people to get them to react violently. Too bad they have probably alienated half their potential audience with the first disastrous week.

Then the follow up episode with the finale will be on Wednesday after the 90 minute premiere of Survivor.
