The Bachelor 13 Winner

The Bachelor 11 Winner
The Bachelor 12 Winner
The Bachelorette 4 Winner

Jason picked his final two in The Bachelor 13 Episode 7. Now, he must choose between Melissa Rycroft and Molly Malaney, one of whom will be The Bachelor 13 winner. The producers are hyping up the Most. Shocking. Finale. Ever. Then again, they do that every year.

Melissa is up first and will be meeting Ty. She hits it off with him on the golf course. Jason leaves them alone for a while as he goes to bring a lamb down to see them, and they get along pretty naturally while he’s gone. Once play time is over, it’s time to go meet the rest of the family, which based on the previews is overprotective (but not so overprotective that they prevent him from going on a game show to meet a wife twice). She will be meeting his mom, dad, both brothers, and sister-in-law. Melissa is willing to move to Seattle because of who’s there. She knows she’s in love with him. The fact that Jason hasn’t met her parents comes up. Again. Ty comes back later and is looking for Melissa so she can play with him. Jason’s father is impressed by Melissa, and his mother thinks she really loves him.

Molly gets the second home date. Jason was not in love with either of these women before this because he needs to see them with Ty. Yet he took them to the final two. Unlike yesterday, Ty’s uninterested in meeting someone new, but he slowly warms up once they start playing. Now it’s Molly’s turn to meet the family. Like Melissa, Molly is in love with Jason. She’s over the crazy party phase, apparently, and is looking to settle down. Jason thinks that he’s probably more different from Molly than he is from Melissa, though he doesn’t necessarily have doubts about either of them. Just a question of which road suits him best. Molly is not worried about moving either. His family likes both girls and doesn’t appear to be a great deal of help in his decision.

Since it keeps coming up over and over and over again, Melissa decides to try one more time. She calls her mom to tell her what’s going on, hoping that at least she’ll agree to talk to Jason on the phone.

He takes her off on a boat for a three hour tour. The weather starts getting rough, but they’re still having fun. That night, unable to wait to tell him, she lets him know right away that her parents want to talk to him on the phone. She’s still hoping he will tell her he loves her, but she will have to settle for an “I’ve never felt this way either.”

Molly gets the next very rainy date. She just wants to head home and get him to strip down so she can give him a massage, then she cooks dinner for him. Molly wants to stress how she feels because she felt like she may have been the one going home last time instead of Jillian, and she doesn’t want to risk that she hasn’t done everything she can. She’s also created a fairy tale book with little things she’s kept throughout the process. Like Melissa, Molly is only able to get an “I’m falling for you.”

As previously arranged, Jason now has the chance to speak to Melissa’s family on the phone. Very little of the conversation is actually shown, but Jason says that it was a good conversation that was the last piece of the puzzle he needed before making a decision.

DeAnna shows up to visit Jason, but it seems to me she’s just there to see him, rather than trying to win him back. The producers just wanted to give us something to talk about by inviting her back. This is lame. This is like something we would see on Big Brother.

Jason compares his situation to DeAnna’s. She went with the fun guy, rather than the more stable relationship guy. Jason has a choice between Melissa, who is what he was looking for, as compared with Molly, who is a lot of fun.

DeAnna acknowledges she made the wrong decision, and she advises him to really go deeper and lead his heart (whatever that means) before he makes his decision.

Molly is the first to get out of the limo. She has enjoyed the journey and wouldn’t give back a minute of it. Jason tells her he gets lost in her eyes, and she’s amazing in every way possible. He doesn’t know how he could ever let her go. But he has to because he’s in love with somebody else. She doesn’t understand and thinks he’s made a big mistake. After walking her back to the limo, he tells her that everything was real. She doesn’t get why he isn’t being smarter about this since he’s already been hurt twice.

Melissa is up next, and it looks like the early spoilers that suggested the producers spoiled the ending on the first episode were correct. Jason came into this looking for someone exactly like her, and now he’s finally able to tell her he’s in love with her. Then it’s time for his proposal. After she turns around and screams for a bit, she accepts.

Update: this happy ending may not be so happy after all. Check out The Bachelor 13 Episode 10.

The Celebrity Apprentice 2 Episode 1

Last year, The Apprentice, which had been flailing about for a couple seasons due largely to stupid decisions by Trump and the producers, got the shot in the arm it needed with a celebrity edition. Piers Morgan dominated the season, and despite some whining from Stephen Baldwin and has been (or never was) Omarosa, Piers was The Celebrity Apprentice winner.

Now, a new cast of 16 celebrities is ready to fight to help boost Trump’s ego.

Men’s team: Andrew Dice Clay, Brian McKnight, Clint Black, Dennis Rodman, Herschel Walker, Jesse James, Scott Hamilton, Tom Green
Women’s team: Annie Duke, Brande Roderick, Claudia Jordan, Joan Rivers, Khloe Kardashian, Melissa Rivers, Natalie Gulbis, Tionne Watkins

Joan Rivers agrees to be the first project manager for the women. Annie suggests the name Phoenix, since the women last year crashed and burned. Then she suggests the name Athena. They like this one better and go for it. Trump really likes the name.

Dice is complaining about the lack of bagels Trump has provided. The men are getting nowhere with their team name, so Herschel Walker steps up to say they need a leader. Scott Hamilton says that maybe it’s Herschel. He gets a second to this idea, so it passes, even though Dennis Rodman doesn’t understand why. Herschel says he’s a businessman, too, not just a football player. He agrees with the previously suggested Kotu (kings of the universe). Most of the men don’t like this name.

The teams will create, bake, and sell cupcakes in a mobile sales center.

At the first boardroom meeting when they’re getting their assignment, Dice complains to Trump. He wants some bagels.

The men start off first with location. They want to be wherever Dice’s biggest fan group is. According to him, he’s the biggest stand up comic in history (a century ago he was big anyway). Their plan is to go to Times Square.

Joan insists that they go to Penn Station, but Annie Duke remembers that this location did not work last year. The rest of the women just want her to shut up. Brande Roderick steps in with a better idea that makes this a moot point. The whole Playboy building will all go down to see them if they go to 57th & 5th. Annie makes a call to secure some money, but the rest of the women on the team don’t like this (winning) strategy.

Jesse James plans to amp up the men’s truck so that it stands out.

Tom Green calls Donny Deutsch to get him to send someone down with some cash.

Jesse does a lot with Photoshop for his business, so he’ll be doing the photos for the marketing. He will be working with Brian McKnight on that part of it, though Brian intends to just do as he’s told and stay out of the mix.

Both teams will be doing simple cupcakes with two varieties, vanilla and chocolate.

The women split into two groups. Brande, Joan, Claudia, and Melissa work on the truck and marketing, while Annie, Khloe, Natalie, and Tionne stay behind to work on the cupcakes.

Joan wants to create a circus and believes in overkill.

With her mother in charge, Melissa’s taking the opportunity to take charge of the task as well.

Dice doesn’t believe he’s a baker and doesn’t want to be a baker. Instead, he will go to Sirius Radio to do a couple shows. He’s not doing anything anyway, so he can go ahead and leave. He’s going to be taking Dennis with him. On the ride to the radio station, Dice admits he has no interest in making cupcakes.

Annie is the lead baker on the vanilla side. The cupcakes look pretty. The chocolate cupcakes, however, don’t rise like the others. Natalie, who was in charge of those, doesn’t know why. The chef who’s overseeing them doesn’t know why either. Could be baking powder instead of baking soda, or perhaps the wrong flour. To recover from this, Annie will make another batch of vanilla. They call the other half of the team to beg for help.

Clint tastes his team’s cupcakes. They’re terrible. They forgot to put the sugar in. This falls on Herschel, who was responsible for the mixing. Their overseer says they don’t have time to make another batch, but should try to put syrup on them and hope they absorb it to become sweeter.

The women’s chocolate cupcakes may not look good, but they taste fine, so if they cover them up, maybe nobody will notice.

Claudia is getting tired of listening to Annie talk. Natalie’s not happy with it either. Joan appreciates Annie’s input, but doesn’t like that she’s a fascist dictator.

The women see the guy’s truck and are impressed and afraid. The sad thing is that it only took two guys to do this, too.

The men set a price of $20 for their cupcakes. The women are willing to give them away for as little as $1.

Tom Green has gotten Tony Hawk to come down and draw in some traffic.

The partially clothed cowboy has also come down to sing a song.

The girls get a girl in a bunny costume, along with about 100 people from the Playboy building. Joan Rivers calls Brande a very smart woman lost in a gorgeous face and body.

Rodman is sitting in the driver’s seat of the truck for most of the day. He says it’s because he didn’t want to be a distraction. People can see him after they buy a cupcake.

Eric Benet comes down to visit Claudia. Kathy Lee Gifford comes down for Khloe.

Annie gets a visit from some fellow poker players, who are handing over thousands.

Trump phones Herschel and Joan to ask for a member of their team to take their best cupcake to Crumbs Bakeshop on 8th St. Whichever the owner likes best will receive an additional $15,000.

Melissa chooses one of the bombs, one of the inverted cupcakes that tasted good and then were filled with ganache because they didn’t look very good. Since he’s probably still not doing anything, Dice goes for the men.

When she gets back, Melissa is asked if she gave them the vanilla with the chocolate chips that the chef said that people were most likely to like. She was unaware of that discussion, and she also didn’t bother to get feedback from her team on their pick.

Brande has two big spenders come down. It’s around this time that Annie wants to ration the cupcakes so they have some left for when they get additional big spenders. They certainly don’t want to sell them the whole truck, but Brande does want to give them a whole tray, without finding out how much money they plan to give. They end up getting $9,000 for 24 cupcakes.

With 15 minutes left, they’ve sold out.

At the end of the day, the men are getting some more big hitters.

With 7 minutes left, they lower the price to 2 cupcakes for $20, and Tom Green calls Donny to find out where his girl is. Just under 2 minutes left, they get $10,000 for 1 cupcake.

Joan says that Brande was the star of the team.

Claudia says that Annie is the weakest member of their team. She’s mostly just upset because Annie told her how to frost a cupcake (something the chef showed her). Let it go.

Herschel declines to answer who the weak link was, but Dice admits he was. As for Dennis, he needed a spanking.

The women easily won the taste test, which is $15,000 from Crumbs. They were disgusted by the men’s cupcakes.

The men brought in $49,499; the women brought in $61,267. It all comes down to the taste test. Joan’s charity Gods Love We Deliver will be getting the money.

Tom Green brought in $16,000 from three donors, a large chunk of what the men brought in. He doesn’t like that the rest of the guys didn’t make an effort to do the same like he suggested. Herschel says he brought in the most money, but Tom doesn’t like that he didn’t encourage the others to do so as well.

Jesse acknowledges their cupcakes sucked. Scott refuses to pass the blame and just says it was whoever was in the kitchen should share equal blame. Since Andrew didn’t do anything, that leaves him out.

Herschel says that Dennis was effective when he wanted to be effective, but Dennis responds that if he wasn’t doing something right, the team leader should have told him what to do.

Clint would fire Dice due to his lack of contribution.

Andrew says he would agree to leave because the others don’t appreciate what he did anyway, and the others all did a good job. Trump’s response is that he doesn’t want to quit because the three before him who quit are considered losers. This coming from the guy who 2 years ago, when it looked like The Apprentice was going to be cancelled, told NBC they didn’t have to fire him because he quit.

Dice would fire Scott because, well, it’s not entirely clear why. Scott would fire Dennis and Andrew. Brian would fire Andrew. Jesse would fire Dennis. Tom would fire Herschel because he’s the project manager.

Herschel makes the two obvious picks: Dice and Dennis.

Trump’s secretary isn’t interested in going out with Dice after he gets fired tonight.

Dennis would fire Herschel due to lack of a gameplan. He should have been better utilized, or utilized at all for that matter. Dice agrees with his buddy Dennis.

Herschel claims he made an effort to utilize them, but it didn’t seem like it. Granted, it’s entirely possible they just simply can’t be controlled.

Herschel says Dice is washed up. Dice calls the kettle black.

Because Trump thinks that Dice wanted to quit, he’s the first one fired.

The Amazing Race 14 Episode 3

Having dragged behind the pack for both episodes, Steve & Linda were eliminated in The Amazing Race 14 Episode 2.

Teams depart in the order in which they arrived.

First: Tammy & Victor – 10:13AM
Second: Mel & Mike – 12:01PM
Third: Amanda & Kris – 12:12PM
Fourth: Margie & Luke – 12:30PM
Fifth: Brad & Victoria – 12:53PM
Sixth: Jaime & Cara – 1:17PM
Seventh: Kisha & Jen – 1:51PM
Eighth: Mark & Michael – 2:00PM
Ninth: Christie & Jodi – 2:42PM

Teams will travel by train to Munich, then fly over 700 miles to Bucharest, Romania. Upon arrival, they will go to the gymnastics hall where Nadia Comaneci trained. Tammy & Victor have opened up a surprisingly large gap on the other teams.

Tammy considers her brother Victor super smart… but his problem is that he doesn’t want to be wrong. Luke doesn’t like that he has to rely so much on his mom to communicate. Kisha & Jen believe they need to communicate better.

Tammy & Victor stop at a travel agent before taking the train. They get put on standby for the earliest flight. The group on the second train is having the locals call around, and it looks like they’ve got about 30 minutes from the time the train arrives to make the 4:45PM flight. They’re told the next flight after that is 9:30PM, which is more than 6 hours after the first flight departs. When they get to the airport, some more options do open up, but there’s still a gap.

First flight (3:20PM – forced to turn around after takeoff): Tammy & Victor
Second flight (4:45PM): Mel & Mike, Margie & Luke, Amanda & Kris
Third flight (7:30PM – delayed and with a tight connection): Brad & Victoria
Fourth flight (9:30PM): Tammy & Victor (no other alternative after their plane turned around for repairs), Jaime & Cara, Michael & Mark, Kisha & Jen, Christie & Jodi

Brad & Victoria knew they were taking a risk by staying on the 7:30 flight, and it didn’t pay off. Their flight already left, and because of the fog, there are no more flights that day. They will be on the 9:15AM flight the next morning. Disastrous.

The road block is to perform gymnastics: balance beam, parallel bars, and floor exercises. They will need to perform the moves correctly and in the right order. It’s not readily apparent who actually performed the road block because I still can’t tell the all male/female teams apart. Perhaps the most critical thing that happened at the road block is that Tammy & Victor first got lost, then she froze up and took a long time when they did get there.

From there, teams will travel by train to Brasov, Transylvania. The earliest train is 6:30AM, about 6 hours after the 9:30 flight lands. This should bunch up everybody except Brad & Victoria. On the ride over, Jaime & Cara are bonding with Luke.

The detour is a choice between gypsy moves or vampire remains. In gypsy moves, teams will load belongings on to horsedrawn carts, then navigate them to the new encampment and unload the belongings. In vampire remains, teams will drag a coffin to the clearing, unlock and open it to reveal antique frames inside, and impale the frames on a stake to find a hidden flag.

Gypsy moves: Amanda & Kris, Kisha & Jen, Mel & Mike, Mark & Michael
Vampire remains: Christie & Jodi, Tammy & Victor, Jaime & Cara, Margie & Luke, Brad & Victoria

Mel & Mike have picked the physical task, which they know is dumb. Victor insists that he’s following the right marked path, even though he’s just following some random path. Tammy corrects him, but he insists to just keep going. Jaime & Cara (and Margie & Luke who are following them) get lost on the way to the detour. While they’re unloading, Kris says he doesn’t have his fanny pack, but Amanda tells him not to worry and that they’ll get it. This could potentially be a worse mistake than Brad & Victoria made. Tammy & Victor? They’re still walking and walking and walking. He has no plans to listen to her. After running around for a while, Amanda & Kris have found the fanny pack, which cost them first place but still keeps them in the game. Now that they’ve walked up the mountain and found nothing, Victor finally agrees to listen to Tammy. When they finally find the coffin, they lose the key on the way down the hill and have to crawl around on the ground to find it. Nicely planned task.

First: Mel & Mike (win a trip to Costa Rica)
Second: Amanda & Kris
Third: Kisha & Jen
Fourth: Margie & Luke
Fifth: Mark & Michael
Sixth: Christie & Jodi
Seventh: Jaime & Cara
Eighth: Tammy & Victor
Eliminated: Brad & Victoria

The sun has set, and Brad & Victoria keep going and have finally arrived at the mat, unsurprisingly being eliminated.

American Idol Season 8 Wild Card Round

The American Idol season 8 wild card round will air as a special 1 hour episode on Thursday March 5 at 8/7c on Fox. During that episode, we will also find out live who the top 12 contestants are, so apparently it will be the judges picking the three people who America did not select. MTV has revealed how the selection process for the wild card round will work.

“Quite simply, each judge can pick two contestants from the top 36 — from which everyone is eligible — and those eight (or possibly nine) singers will perform a song on the one-hour March 5 show, with three advancing into the top 12.”

“The same rules apply as during the audition phases, with majority picks winning the day and judge Simon Cowell casting the tie-breaking vote should there be a 2-2 deadlock, the spokesperson explained.”

The eight people who will appear in the wild card round were chosen during American Idol Season 8 Episode 17. The wild card results were revealed in American Idol Season 8 Episode 18.

American Idol Season 8 Episode 15

American Idol 8 Episode 14 proved pretty lackluster, but there were some bright spots. Tonight, three more people will make the top 12.

Allison, Jesse, and Matt are up first. Randy thinks it’s a girl who will advance, hopefully Allison. Unsurprisingly, Allison Iraheta advances to the next round.

Megan and Kris, two of the top performers last night, step forward next. Then Matt and Jeanine join them. Out of the four, one will advance. Paula is torn between everybody other than Jeanine. Narrowing it down, Jeanine Vailes has been eliminated. Matt Giraud can also have a seat. It’s between Megan Joy Corkrey and Kris Allen, who were the two I was expecting to be in the running. Kara thinks Kris is talented, but she still doesn’t like his song choice (she’s wrong). Kris is the second person to join the top 12 tonight.

Brooke White is back and singing her first single, which she co-wrote, Hold up My Heart.

It’s time for the five remaining contestants Mishavonna, Kai, Nick/Norman, Adam, and Jasmine to get the news. We’ve finally seen the last of Nick Mitchell/Norman Gentle. That much is sure. Mishavonna Henson, Kai Kalama, and Jasmine Murray can all have a seat. Adam Lambert is the sixth member of the top 12.

Hell’s Kitchen 5 Episode 4

Ramsay kept Seth around because, well, I guess because he finds him more entertaining, instead choosing to eliminate Charlie in Hell’s Kitchen 5 Episode 3.

Giovanni’s pissed off at Seth for suggesting him as a nominee.

Chef Ramsay asks Carol who the strongest chef on the red team is. She responds that it’s herself or Andrea. For the boys, Danny volunteers to answer and says it’s him. The lesson here? Both teams are missing teamwork. Hell’s Kitchen will open in 30 minutes for breakfast.

Paula hates breakfast. Lacey wants pancakes because she doesn’t know anything else. Seth volunteers to do eggs because he’s got Ramsay’s recipe.

Their customers? A team of kids and their cheerleaders. Whoever can feed all their kids wins the challenge.

Colleen becomes more interested in cheering than her hash browns. She thinks she’s a cheerleader.

Coi is having trouble with her eggs.

Meanwhile, Seth is struggling to keep up with the demand for scrambled eggs, which costs them their early lead. Both teams are at 40 out of 50 each. The women manage to finish first, marking their first challenge win.

For their punishment, the men will have to clean up the dining area and both kitchens, then they’ll have to prep both kitchens for dinner service later that day.

The women will be going camping Beverly Hills style.

Danny takes some heat from Ben after the challenge, largely because he jumped forward to say he’s the best cook.

Robert has just one request: Lacey, don’t wear a bikini.

The girls head to a hotel for some pampering, while the guys stay behind and clean, attempting to forget about their earlier explosion.

Robert wants Ben to go because of the fighting. He blames Ben more for it than Danny.

Although they’ve been in the kitchen all day, the men have not yet finished prepping by the time the well rested women get back.

Giovanni gets the men off to a slow start, not checking to make sure his equipment was ready so his water could boil.

Coi attempts to get ahead. Ramsay’s not having that.

Andrea comes into the blue kitchen to get the tomato butter sauce that the guys didn’t make for them. It’s not ready yet, so Ben will have to drop everything and work on it. He puts it together but fails to taste it before bringing it out. Ramsay is not happy.

More than an hour in, no food is leaving the kitchen.

Andrea takes control of the red kitchen to try to get some leadership in there.

Danny makes the tomato butter sauce that Ben botched, and he does a good job.

J is making salad for the blue team, which is finally making its way out to the customers. Unfortunately, it’s not all entirely edible.

Ben’s ready to impress Ramsay, or so he believes. His lamb chops are too thin.

LA and Colleen are struggling to work together on the meat station. LA doesn’t want to talk all the time, but Colleen can’t shut up.

Danny is struggling on the garnish station.

Seth wipes his face with a cloth, then wipes a pan. This comes after him not listening to Chef Ramsay calling out the orders.

After all the chaos and limited success with the night’s meal, both teams have lost.

Coi says she’s done because of her poor performance. Some of the others say that if Lacey tried to do what Coi did, it would have been worse. Nonetheless, Coi nominates herself. Giovanni picks Seth and Ben. Danny obviously wants Ben as well, and vice versa. Robert suggests Ben and J.

Seth and Ben have been nominated for the blue team. Colleen is the first nominee for the red team based on her overall performance. Lacey is the second nominee, despite Coi’s performance. Coi thinks it was her worst performance so far.

Lacey believes she’s getting stronger, despite her rough start. Colleen says she works hard and is not yet done learning. Seth goes on and on again. Ben believes he’s a motivator for his team.

Ben is safe. Seth is finally going home. Should have happened before now.

Lacey is safe… but on the men’s team. Dropped some dead weight for some more dead weight. The women are pleased, though they still keep Colleen.

Survivor: Tocantins Episode 3

After she expressed her desire to get rid of Coach in Survivor: Tocantins Episode 2, Candace found herself on the wrong end of him changing his strategy of keeping the strong, and she was the first person eliminated from the Timbira tribe.

Erinn, having voted the opposite way of the rest of the tribe, tries to pretend she didn’t trust Candace at all. Just admit the truth. Everybody already knows it.

Jerry, who we saw for all of about 15 seconds so far, is having trouble with his stomach. He thinks it might be the beans.

Jalapao may have won fishing gear, but they don’t seem to know what to do with it. They do start catching something eventually, though.

Six members of each tribe will be blindfolded and tied together. The remaining tribe member will guide them through a maze to fill their containers with water and corn. Reward is comfort (tarp, umbrella, chairs, pillows, blankets, and a hammock). Joe guides Jalapao; Debra is the caller for Timbira. Timbira gets pretty well lost, while Debra squeals at them. Spencer and Stephen get some water for Jalapao. Taj and Sandy also get water for them. Then JT and Sydney bring back some more water. Timbira as a group finally gets water, and they’ve almost got enough. Stephen and Spencer raise their water flag. Jeff has told Timbira they only need a little more water, but apparently Debbie didn’t hear him because she says she doesn’t know what they should do, so they should just fill all their buckets with water and come back. It doesn’t matter, though, since Jalapao’s got all their corn and raises the second flag to win the challenge. Brendan goes to Exile, and as promised, he picks Taj to go with him again.

Coach begs everybody to not go off in groups and talk about who screwed up. So he goes off with Tyson to talk about Sierra and Erinn. Tyson thinks Coach wants his point to be known, whether he really knows anything or not. Tyson is now Coach’s assistant coach.

Taj and Brendan pick urns again, and this time she gets the clue. They know it’s at camp and surrounded by wood. Not a lot to go on, but it’s something. Just in case they don’t get sent back, they plot to each bring one person in. Brendan will go to Sierra, and Taj will go to Stephen. This is brilliant.

With their reward, Jalapao slept well. Sandy believes she’s a sex kitten this morning, which… scares me.

At the immunity challenge, two members of each tribe will roll a large crate back to the mat. When they gather all 6 crates, they must stack them to build a staircase spelling out their name. Jalapao and Taj go first against Brendan and Debra. Brendan and Debbie get off to a slight lead, but JT and Taj return first. Stephen and Sydney are next for Jalapao against Sierra and Tyson. Sierra and Tyson make up time and take the lead by a good margin. Erinn and Coach go against Joe and Sandy. Erinn and Coach retain the lead. Brendan and Jerry go against JT and Spencer. Brendan and Jerry retain the lead, but Jerry gets hit by the other team’s crate in the process. JT and Spencer go against Joe and Stephen. Timbira’s still in the lead. Tyson and Brendan go for their last crate against Spencer and Taj. Timbira’s got a good lead when it comes time to build the staircase. Jalapao does a good job of catching up on the stair building, and they come from behind to win immunity. It appears that Jerry’s stomach problems finished off his tribe, which is good news for the poorly performing Stephen and Sydney.

Coach doesn’t like the look on Erinn’s face, which makes him hate her more. Despite the fact that Jerry blew the challenge, his plan is still to get rid of Erinn. Way to keep the strong around. Sierra doesn’t want to be stupid and go along with this plan.

Brendan begins his hunt for the hidden idol. It’s inside the treemail post.

Erinn expresses her frustration because she knew the answer to the staircase puzzle, but nobody wanted to listen to her until it was too late. Jerry doesn’t believe the tribe communicates very well, and he wants somebody to be a leader. He suggests Brendan. Coach suggests himself. Erinn responds Brendan is better. He says this is just because of a personality clash, which she denies being aware of. He has great ideas but is unable to own them. Probst says Coach’s ego may be getting in the way.

Unlike last week when everybody blindly followed Coach’s poor plan, this time the tables have been turned, although Coach was among the unanimous vote against Jerry. Jerry’s elimination is not overly surprising since he went from invisible to a key character this episode.

Survivor Renewed for Seasons 19, 20

CBS announced today that Survivor, now in its 18th season, will be back for season 19 and 20 for the 2009-2010 season. Despite the all too often talked about ratings decline it has seen, Survivor continues to be one of the top 20 shows on TV every year.

“SURVIVOR is one of CBS’s signature series and a symbol of enduring quality and entertainment on prime time television,” said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment. “Every season delivers a fresh new adventure for viewers and a time period-winning performance on the network. We’re excited to deliver audiences two more editions of outstanding production values, exotic scenery, new castaways and, of course, our Emmy Award-winning host.”

“I am happy to be able produce two more editions of survivor for our loyal fans,” said Mark Burnett, Executive Producer of SURVIVOR. “Our show stands for high quality family entertainment and all of us on this team will continue to deliver on this promise.”

“We have a unique relationship with our audience,” said Jeff Probst, host of SURVIVOR. “They tell us what they like and we listen. It’s worked for 18 editions and we’re looking forward to delivering two more satisfying seasons!”

Jeff Probst will continue to host the show at least through next year. Whether he will be back beyond that is anybody’s guess, including his own, as his answers on the subject have ranged from denying he would be back to just saying he doesn’t know. The quality of the show, which had a few very dry seasons before rebounding in China, seems to have convinced him that the show is still worthwhile, though.
