So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 Winner

The final six competed for America’s vote in So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 Episode 23, and tonight one of them will emerge as the So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 winner.

Ryan di Lello is the first person to be eliminated, finishing in sixth place.

His wife Ashleigh follows him, placing fifth.

Ellenore Scott places fourth.

Kathryn McCormack places third.

That brings us down to a battle of the two guys. Jakob Karr has been the most technically gifted dancer throughout the season, while Russell Ferguson gets the nod for most improved. The So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 winner is Russell.

Survivor: Samoa Episode 13

Rather than keep going down the line, Russell decided instead to get rid of John in Survivor: Samoa Episode 12.

Russell’s explanation to Shambo is that John targeted her, so he had to go.

Monica and Brett say that Russell and Mick are the biggest threats because of how strong their games have been. Jaison takes responsibility for the gameplay, claiming that Russell’s just the bulldog, but he has been the one making a lot of the decisions. I don’t think they’re stupid enough to buy this poor attempt at getting people to believe he’s played a strong game, but what they may buy is that Russell told Mick he made $2 million last year.

Rather than the reward challenge, they’re jumping right into immunity. It’s a Survivor bowling tournament. They will be randomly matched up against another person and get two shots to score the most points. Natalie and Shambo go first. Natalie gets a gutter ball. Shambo gets 9. Natalie is unable to beat this with her second roll and is eliminated. Brett and Russell go next. Brett misses. Russell gets 4. Brett gets a gutter ball and is out. Jaison and Monica square off. Jaison gets 2. Monica gets nothing. Jaison gets another 4. Monica gets just 1 and is eliminated. Mick and Dave are the last pairing. Mick scores 4. Dave gets a strike. Mick gets 4 more, which is not enough. Shambo and Russell start off round 2. Shambo scores 5. Russell gets 4. Shambo misses on her second try. Russell misses as well, and he’s out. Jaison and Dave compete for the final spot in the final round. Jaison misses. Dave gets a gutter ball. Jaison scores 7. Dave gets a gutter ball. That puts Jaison and Shambo in the final round. Seems unlikely either of them would be a target anyway, but one of them will get immunity. Shambo gets nothing. Jaison also gets nothing. Shambo gets nothing again. Jaison knocks over more than 1 to win immunity.

The plan is to get rid of Dave. Again. Monica suggests getting rid of Shambo instead. She’s a threat because the majority of the jury is Galu. This logic suggests that people on Galu actually liked Shambo. Ultimately, though, as long as Shambo does not flip back to the other side, which it seems unlikely she would do, they could easily vote either way and still retain the majority.

Shambo’s completely onboard with the Dave vote. If Dave is not voted out, she will be chatting with Russell. Them’s not really fighting words.

This week, Shambo gets her wish, and Dave has been voted off the island. That officially puts Foa Foa up in numbers for the first time.

Since we’re just crossing the half hour mark, it’s obviously not over yet.

Russell says that Brett is the biggest threat in the game. He’s too likeable.

Because Russell said at tribal council that his biggest concern is getting rid of people he can’t beat, Mick is freaking out. Will Russell turn on him? Of course he would. It’s just a matter of navigating the waters until then without stirring the pot too much.

So now it’s another immunity challenge. They must race out into the water, retrieve bags, and race back. They will then use a plank to get bags into their basket. First person to get all three in wins. The men are off to the head start, with the women bringing up the rear, Natalie in particular. Brett scores first. Mick is behind him, and then Russell. Shambo’s the next one to score. Brett scores 2 with Mick right behind him. Jaison finally gets his first. Russell has 2. Natalie then grabs her first. That leaves just Monica still scoreless. It’s looking like a battle between Brett and Mick. Brett wins immunity.

Brett having immunity puts the target on Monica. They go talk to Mick to try to pull him over. Getting rid of Russell would sure be a good move if it can be pulled off, but Mick doesn’t want to end up on the short end of the numbers stick. Granted, if they don’t flip now, they may not be able to, unless they can get either Natalie or Shambo to join them.

Then Monica reveals to Russell that Jaison’s just counting down the days to day 36 when it’s his final day to play the idol. By the way, Jaison also revealed that Russell’s a multi-millionaire, so she would not vote for him because her plan is to vote based on need. Russell’s mad now. Jaison actually doesn’t remember what he told her. He was just rambling.

Russell still wants to get rid of Monica because she’s a little bitch who needs to shut her piehole, but he’s keeping Jaison’s betrayal in mind.

First thing at tribal council, Russell pulls out the hidden immunity idol and puts it around his neck.

Monica says that the only reason Russell’s still around is the idols. As stupid a statement as any we’ve heard thus far.

Survivor: Amazon Episode 12

With Rob changing sides again in Survivor: Amazon Episode 11, Alex was voted off the island.

Jenna has decided she now hates Rob’s guts. Great, this whining again. Personal relationships blah blah blah. Heidi, likewise, is jumping on the pity train, albeit not to the same extent.

Trying to adopt a strategy to stay in the game, Jenna and Heidi decide to start being nice to Christy for a change to try to swing her over to their side. Christy believes that she has a better chance against the girls, but she’s sick of them and doesn’t want to be used.

The first stage of the reward challenge is to race out and grab 1 of 4 paddles (two people will be eliminated at that stage). Then they will paddle out to answer questions about the Amazon. If the answer is correct, the puzzle pieces they receive will fit together. If the answer is incorrect when they return to shore, they will have to paddle back out and try again. The first two people to get the correct puzzle pieces will compete to see who can finish first. Last thing, if they sink the boats, they’re swimming. Reward is a visit from a loved one. Rob, Jenna, Matthew, and Christy get paddles. Butch and Heidi are out. The guys take their boats, while the girls decide to swim for it. Matthew’s got a large lead as the only person to not have boat difficulities. He has the right answer. The only shot the girls have is if Rob got the wrong answer, although they’re so far behind Matt that it doesn’t really matter. Rob has the correct answer but has a lot of catching up to do. Matthew wins reward.

If Matt agrees to give up his visit from his mom, the others will get visits from their loved ones. With the water works flowing from the others already, it’s going to be difficult for him to make another choice. He agrees to let them get visits instead. They’re granted 10 minutes to share a little food and drink. It doesn’t end there, though. When it’s all done, Matthew still gets the visit from his mom. They will go visit an Amazonian tribe together for the night. While they do that, the rest of the tribe gets drunk, and Rob puts on a speedo. Rob hopes to use this time with the two drunk girls to kiss and make up.

Following Matt’s gesture, Rob is stating to question whether he should actually go up against him in the finals. He suggests to Jenna that they go in the final two together. She still hates his guts and runs back to tell Heidi, and she would like to target him. Her fear is that he’s a puppetmaster. This is a valid fear. Rob’s been in control of this game since day one, and he’s played ten times the game of anybody left standing.

Heidi’s response to Rob is to call him a snake. Then she gets upset, and Jenna starts yelling his plan to take her to the end. And then more whining. She can feel free to write ROB on her parchment tomorrow night. She’s not going to be nice, friendly, or easy to work with. Well, she’s got a good head start on that.

Heidi and Jenna continue to try to sway Christy. They need to talk to her a lot lately. For the first time in 32 days.

The immunity challenge is in two rounds. The first round is to break plates with a slingshot and marbles to collect pucks. The pucks will be used in shuffle board. Rob hasn’t broken this many dishes since he was a waiter. After the first round, Jenna and Butch have 5, Heidi has 4, Christy 3, Rob 2, and Matthew 1. Butch goes first. Matthew’s first shot is enough to take the lead. Butch knocks Matt out to retake the lead. Rob takes the lead over Butch with his last puck. Jenna then takes the lead. Butch retakes the lead. Then Jenna retakes the lead. Heidi knocks Rob closest to give him the lead. Butch retakes the lead again. Then Christy gives the lead back to Rob. Butch gives Heidi the lead. With the final puck, Jenna wins immunity.

Rob’s worried about where Christy stands. Is she going to vote for Heidi still? She guesses so. When she gets the pen in her hand, that’s when she’ll make the decision. So Rob goes to Heidi and wants to all vote for Christy. Better to get rid of her than for everyone to gamble on who she’s going to side with.

As he asks every time, Jeff poses the question whether the person holding immunity wants to part with it. Jenna has decided to give up her immunity necklace and hand it over to Heidi. This may not be Jenna’s first very stupid decision of the game, but it’s arguably the worst. It marks the first time this has ever happened. The only other time since in 19 seasons was in Micronesia when Erik gave his necklace away to the girls (he was voted out that night and labeled the dumbest player ever).

So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 Episode 22

The top 8 danced in So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 Episode 21, and tonight two more will be sent home. The remaining six will be in next week’s finale.

Russell Ferguson is safe. Jonathan “Legacy” Perez is in danger for the first time this season. Jakob Karr is safe, which puts Ryan di Lello in danger.

Kathryn McCormack is safe. Ellenore Scott is in danger. Despite not having danced last night, Ashleigh di Lello already has enough support to keep her safe. Mollee Gray is in danger. Adam is surprised because he felt that Mollee gave some of the best performances of the season last night.

That leaves Legacy, Ryan, Ellenore, and Mollee in danger.

The girls go first. Ellenore is the last girl to join the finale, and Mollee has been eliminated.

Next up are the guys. Ryan joins his wife in the finale, as Legacy has been voted off.

So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 Episode 21

Nathan Trasoras and Noelle Marsh were voted out in So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 Episode 20. Tonight the top 8 compete.

Ashleigh walks out with her arm in a sling. She says she’s ready to go, but they won’t clear her to dance. They want to do the MRI before allowing her to dance (they couldn’t do that before going on air?). Although she is not performing, she will still be able to receive votes for any fans who want her to advance.

The Biggest Loser Season 8 Winner

Rudy and Danny finished on top in The Biggest Loser Season 8 Episode 12, which leaves the fate of Amanda and Liz in America’s hands. Once America’s vote has been revealed, it’s on to the final three and a battle to be The Biggest Loser 8 winner.

Amanda has won America’s vote to enter the final three.

Now that we know that, the other players will weigh in to compete for the title of at home winner.

Alexandra: 309 pounds (-91, 29.45%)

Antoine: 215 pounds (-152, 41.42%)

Antoine has managed to set a competitive mark to beat.

Sean: 289 pounds (-155, 34.91%)

Julio: 227 pounds (-180, 44.23%)

That puts Julio in the lead.

Mo: 263 pounds (-92, 25.92%)

Dina: 174 pounds (-79, 31.23%)

Abby: 147 pounds (-100, 40.49%)

Tracey: 132 pounds (-118, 47.20%)

Tracey takes the lead with a percentage could be tough to beat.

Shay: 304 pounds (-172, 36.13%)

Daniel: 201 pounds (-111, 35.58%)

Rebecca: 140 pounds (-139, 49.82%)

With that, Rebecca, who’s gone blonde for some reason, takes the lead.

Rebecca is The Biggest Loser At Home winner and is now $100,000 richer.

Shay has been invited back to the season 9 finale. For every pound she loses, Subway will offer her $1,000.

Antoine invites his girlfriend from the season Alexandra on the stage so he can propose. Seems like they’re rushing, but I give them better odds than someone on The Bachelor.

Over 3.5 million pounds have been pledged in the Pound for Pound Challenge, which has resulted in that amount of food being donated to a local food bank.

Amanda: 163 pounds (-87, 34.80%)

As expected, it’s going to come down to a battle between the guys.

Rudy: 208 pounds (-234, 52.94%)

In any other season, I’d say that Rudy’s already won, but I’m expecting Danny to give him a run for his money.

Danny: 191 pounds (-239, 55.58%)

The Biggest Loser Season 9: Couples 3 will premiere Tuesday January 5, 2010 on NBC.

The Amazing Race 15 Winner

The Globetrotters made a deal with the brothers, which would be the last deal they made before being eliminated from the race in The Amazing Race 15 Episode 11. That brings us down to the final three: Meghan Rickey and her boyfriend Cheyne Whitney, Dan McMillen and his brother Sam McMillen, and Ericka Dunlap and her husband Brian Kleinschmidt. One of these teams will be The Amazing Race 15 winner.

Teams depart in the order in which they arrived.

First: Meghan & Chenye – 11:10AM
Second: Sam & Dan – 12:08PM
Third: Brian & Ericka – 3:15PM

The final destination city is Las Vegas, Nevada, nearly 6000 miles away. The whole race is going to come down to some tasks in one city. The huge gap Brian & Ericka have allowed is moot (exactly as the producers planned no doubt), as the flight leaves after 6. The gap is so big that the other two teams don’t even know who they’re competing against.

Sam & Dan have a goal: don’t yell at each other. I suspect that’s too much to ask for.

When they land, they will travel to the Graceland Wedding Chapel to get their next clue from the king. To do so, they’ll have to interrupt some couple getting married.

The next stop is Mandalay Bay. Brian & Ericka break away from the pack, as their cab driver believes he’s got a faster way. He is right, and they arrive at the road block first. The road block is a face first rappel off the hotel, 600 feet down.

Road block (in order of arrival): Ericka, Cheyne, Sam

Another hotel is next, The Mirage, where they will join the cast of Cirque du Soleil’s Love. One team member must launch another member in the air using bungee cords to retrieve a bouquet of flowers. All the teams bunch up here, so it comes down to who can finish the task quicker. Meghan & Cheyne complete the task first. Immediately after, Ericka proceeds to yell at Brian. She wants him to do it instead. Let her switch. Or else. Dan grabs it next. This pushes Ericka pretty close to a breakdown, so she agrees to switch back. Whether she’s on the ground or in the air, Ericka continues to slowly lose it. And lose it some more. After much drama, she completes the task.

After that, they must figure out the most famous casino in the country of Monaco, Monte Carlo. Yeah, it’s off to another hotel. Meghan & Cheyne ask a cab driver, who tells them it’s The Venetian. They’re not sure about this answer, so they just drive off hoping to figure it out. Sam & Dan just decide to follow them. On the way there, Sam & Dan call a hotel and get the correct answer. As for Meghan & Cheyne, they continue to get incorrect answers. Luckily for Brian & Ericka, they know the answer to the clue without hesitation, which may get them back into this. Meghan & Cheyne end up driving to The Venetian, where they’re told to go to Monte Carlo.

Upon arrival at the Monte Carlo, their task is to count $1 million in poker chips. This has the potential to be frustrating and time consuming. Brian & Ericka arrive to see only the brothers there. All teams are there just worrying about counting now. If anyone can do it right the first time, it should bode well for them. Sam wants his brother to stop rushing and calm down. Doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Seeing Brian & Ericka have finished, Dan insists that they just hand over the chips and let the person there start counting. Meghan & Cheyne are also done. So who’s right? Meghan & Cheyne are correct. Sam & Dan, however, are incorrect. Brian & Ericka also are incorrect. On their second attempt, Sam & Dan are correct. Brian & Ericka are incorrect again, though.

Next up is the MGM Grand hotel (are there no other landmarks in Vegas?), where they will be told where the finish line is by Mr. Las Vegas. The finish line is at Wayne Newton’s house.

As much as they try to make it a mystery, it’s pretty obvious that the team that finished the counting task has it in the bag. The Amazing Race 15 winners are Meghan & Cheyne. This was the right team to win, particularly among the three remaining choices, as they ran the best race. The other two teams had more compelling stories but were weighed down by bickering. Sam & Dan finish in second place, with Brian & Ericka coming in third.

The Amazing Race 16, which is filming now, is expected to be making its return in midseason.
