Jericho Season 2 Episode 4

Ravenwood was in town and taking control in Jericho Season 2 Episode 3. They were particularly interested in preventing the people of Jericho from being able to protect themselves from the Hudson River Virus, but in the end, the vaccines were able to be adminstered with a little help from Trish inside Jennings & Rall. Beck may well be on their side now, and there’s a mystery person who wants to help as well.

Stanley catches Dale in his yard in the middle of the night, which he asks to stop because he doesn’t want him bringing in goods through his property. While Jake’s at the store delivering the message, Dale gets notice that he needs to register with Jennings & Rall and prove he’s not doing anything illegal.

Hawkins gets another mystery call, which is from somebody who obviously knows what’s going on. Hawkins comes up with terms of his own, and all he wants is the truth. With that agreed upon, he is told he’s a day away from being caught.

The town gathers together because J&R charges too much and refuses to allow any competition. Dale’s got the connections and the trucks. Stanley’s farm is the safest way into town, but he’s afraid he’ll lose his farm, so he says no.

A binder containing a scan of the area, which will identify the bomb, will be delivered in the next day or so. They need to get Beck out of his office. Hawkins has a house to burn down.

Mimi finds a discrepancy since the new currency has come in. Somebody seems to have stolen $10,000.

Jake, the town sheriff, no longer has a key to the sheriff’s office. When he gets a list, he knows somebody who does, though, Heather. Jake wants to tell her why they need access, but Hawkins doesn’t want to let yet another person in on it.

Jennings & Rall finds a rat. Fred tells them Dale’s to blame for the smuggling.

Hawkins reluctantly agrees to bring Heather into the mix. There are only 5 people outside the Cheyenne government who know this information, but she’s warned it’s highly dangerous information. She agrees to keep listening.

Trish brings the discrepancy to John Getz, telling him the J&R books may have been altered. Because J&R has a zero tolerance policy on embezzlement, she stresses how serious the problem is. He says he’ll look into it, even though he doesn’t appear particularly thrilled with this.

Hawkins visits Beck and asks him to deploy some men to hunt down Sarah Mason. When they show up, they find a house that’s been burned down. They find a burned male body that’s unidentifiable, but they also happen to find a hard drive that’s probably salvageable.

Ravenwood manages to bust Dale, and they turn him over the military police, sending him to prison.

Heather carries out her task as requested, grabbing the page of incriminating data from the binder. She’s been accused by the sargeant of looking for information outside her clearance, but Beck believes she’s telling the truth and tells him to get lost.

Jake chases down the truck carrying Dale. They manage to get in touch with Major Beck, just before the psycho with the gun shoots him. Beck instructs the soldier to stand down and hand Dale over to them.

John Getz demands to see the ledger and that it should be kept in a safe place, not at home where practically anything can happen to it. When she shows up at home, Mimi’s been followed by Getz, who isn’t leaving anything to chance.

With the hard drive, Beck gets hold of some more information, including a video, where he clearly makes out Valente. He’s not fooled, however, that there’s an informant, but he does know that at least Hawkins can help him out.

Bonnie goes outside to greet Ravenwood. She tells them Mimi’s not there. Getz doesn’t believe her and heads inside guns blazing. Bonnie grabs a shotgun and starts shooting. She kills most of them, but there’s still one left.

Hawkins gets a call back from the guy who warned him at the beginning of the show. He tells him of Project Boxcar, an attempt to eliminate all evidence of the attacks. He receives a report, originally written as an effort to warn against a worst case scenario, which was prepared by Jennings & Rall with assistance by the mystery man on the other end of the phone.

Jake shows up to the scene of a shootout. Mimi seems to be okay and is on a stretcher, but Bonnie is dead from a shot fired by Getz.

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 21

Mark and Lori’s sexual tension got more noticeable in Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 20. Meanwhile, Kyle, who was having trouble sleeping the whole episode, finally figured out the problem: the record he was playing contained a secret message. Kyle decoded it, and it was a Latnok ring with the words “I’m Alive.” He assumes it’s Sarah, who everybody thought was dead. The other good thing that came out of this was that Amanda played the piano to help ease Kyle’s mind, which convinced her mother to let him go to the prom with her.

Kyle wants to figure out the right way to ask Amanda to the prom. Jessi’s eavesdropping from across the room. Lori doesn’t approve until the subject of Declan’s prom date comes up.

Josh has made an improvement of 27% over his previous scores. He’s accused by Bradford Hooper, the principal, of being a cheater, because he’s improved. Kyle, the human lie detector, knows he didn’t cheat.

Kyle’s able to muster up the courage to ask Amanda… for a straw. Hillary tells him asking her to the prom is as simple as just asking her. He’s feeling better, but then they scare him again, telling him the question is simple, but the timing needs to be perfect.

Jessi offers to heal Declan’s ankle, but he declines her offer for assistance that he needs to keep a secret.

Taylor and Jessi are training. She’s not sure she can move a weight because it’s too heavy. She lifts it for a few seconds but stops when she starts bleeding. He doesn’t care and tells her to just keep going. When she says she’s tired of training all the time, he tells her they’ll change up the routine tomorrow.

Kyle gets an anonymous instant message. He thinks it’s Sarah.

Nicole goes down to the school to confront Hooper, and he accuses Kyle of cheating as well, since somebody hacked into the district mainframe and posted the test questions on a website. Kyle didn’t do it, but he knows who did. Jessi. She denies being responsible for someone else logging on to check it out.

Lori adamantly denies any interest in Mark. She doth protest too much.

Declan’s had a change of heart. He wants Jessi to help him with his ankle after all, and he promises not to tell Kyle.

Hooper’s got it into his head that, as punishment for the hacking, he’ll cancel the prom. Jessi warns that if she confesses, he’ll be able to trace the IP addresses from the website back to the people who cheated. She shows him a list, since she’s already started to do some research herself.

One of the names on the list is Amanda. She was curious and went on the site, but she says she didn’t actually look at any of the answers. Kyle tells her not to rat on herself and that she’ll figure a way out.

Even if the principal doesn’t believe in him, Stephen’s proud of how Josh has been doing.

Kyle gets another anonymous IM. He gets warned that he needs to help Jessi to prevent Taylor from destroying her.

Nicole’s afraid to help because the alleged social worker warned her.

Kyle’s impressed by Declan’s recovery. Too impressed. He knows something’s up. Because he knows he’s been busted, Declan tells the truth about what happened.

Nicole asks Taylor to let her see Jessi. He warns that he’ll lodge a complaint with social services if she contacts Jessi. Kyle approaches Jessi to tell her she needs to stop pushing herself so hard.

Kyle figures out that almost everybody logged on to the website, making the list pointless since obviously not everybody cheated. Hooper decides he has to just have everybody retake the test. Kyle refuses to rat out Jessi.

Declan’s ankle hurts again. On the court, he’s not just Kyle’s sidekick, which is one thing he loves about the game.

Amanda’s impressed Kyle always makes the right choice but is afraid she’ll disappoint him because of that. Since the prom’s back on, he picks now to ask her to the prom, and she of course says yes.

Kyle gets another anonymous IM. Taylor wants Jessi to train. She’s too tired to train. He doesn’t care. At Josh’s inadvertent suggestion, Kyle has traced the IM’s, which form a perfect square. The answer to the puzzle of where to meet is the diner, where he finds Sarah.

The CW Fall Renewals

The CW has renewed Everybody Hates Chris, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, America’s Next Top Model, Smallville, and Supernatural for the fall season. The entire Sunday night lineup (CW Now, Online Nation, and Life Is Wild) is now dead… my suggestion for next year is to not even bother trying. Friday Night WWE Smackdown has ended its deal with The CW and will instead be airing on News Corp’s MyNetworkTV. I’m assuming Beauty and the Geek, which premieres in its 5th season next week, will get another season, and hoping Reaper doesn’t get lost in the shuffle just because of its male-skewing audience.

Scrubs Moving to ABC?

Sources have told Hollywood Reporter that ABC is in negotations with ABC Studios, the production company behind Scrubs, to pick up 18 episodes of the series. NBC is said to have been caught off guard and is itself in negotations with the studio. The show, which has aired on NBC since 2001, is probably close to its end regardless of whatever battle may break out between the two networks.

NBC still has 5 original episodes of the series that it will start airing on April 10.

Quarterlife Cancelled

After just one episode, NBC has pulled the plug on the Quarterlife, the show that started online. Following its debut Tuesday at 10PM to the network’s lowest ratings in that timeslot in 17 years, even the show’s creator didn’t sugarcoat it, saying it was a mistake to even try to put this on network television. NBC still stands by the risk, though, saying it was a cheap venture and worth a shot.

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 20

Jessi went nutty in Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 19, insisting on winning everything, a mirror of Sarah, who died because she pushed too hard. Andy’s preparing for her checkup tomorrow to see whether she’s still got cancer, but it doesn’t appear as though she does.

A sleepwalking Kyle goes into the kitchen to draw a picture with ketchup. When they return to his room, they see a mass of pictures that need to be put in order. Nicole believes it happened because of stress from the major relationship changes in his life. She suggests he uncomplicate his life. So he goes to The Rack, where everybody needs his brain to help their studying efforts. He doesn’t want to disappoint them. Stephen also needs his cooking assistance, while Lori wants help writing a prom theme song. He starts forgetting simple words and bumping into things. Jessi can tell something’s wrong with him.

Kyle realizes he’s slowly losing control of his abilities, and it’s not going unnoticed by the others. Josh says he’s like the idiot king of Stupidtown.

Mrs. Bloom reluctantly lets Amanda study with Kyle, saying the test answers will prove whether her trust in him has been well placed. He hopes he can earn the honor of a date with her “giraffe” (aka Amanda).

When he heads to his room to rest, he draws the pictures again. He doesn’t think the problem is stress.

Since Kyle’s not smart enough today, Josh calls Jessi to help them study, which obviously doesn’t please Amanda. Jessi forces Josh to do pushups when he gets something wrong, which could lead to quite a workout. Nobody else wants to study with her for some unknown reason.

Mark, Stephen’s TA, comes to the house to assist with a mechanical problem. He goes to the bathroom upstairs, where he gets trapped by Lori. She asks for his advice, and he’s got a lot, even if it’s blunt. Declan quickly gets jealous. It turns out Hillary is an idiot savant and is a great cook. Then Amanda rescues Josh from Jessi.

Andy’s got good news. She doesn’t have cancer any more. That’s what he apparently did. Curing her pushed him too far, a point not lost on Jessi, who was already suspicious to begin with. The action of curing her was just unintentional, driven by an emotion for wanting to help her.

Hillary’s got an obvious theory. There’s sexual tension between Mark and Lori.

Kyle tries to pretend he’s okay, but every little noise is driving him mad. He eventually ends up starting a fire. Amanda goes home to play the piano, hoping it will help him. He’s comforted but still lost and confused.

Adam Baylin comes to find out what’s wrong. Adam doesn’t believe he actually healed Andy, at least not at this stage in his development. He does have a theory, though. The record Kyle’s been listening to from the diner is the key.

Mark decides that Lori is a great lyricist but that he’ll help her with the music. He also agrees to DJ the prom.

Kyle’s subconscious is trying to tell him to listen to the subliminal messages hidden on the record. The sounds are then translated into images, like a fax machine. Adam’s not sure where the message is coming from, since Sarah’s dead and all.

They take the images Kyle drew and put them on a computer, where he gets a visual of a Latnok ring with a message of “I’m Alive.”

Amanda’s mother is happy that her daughter played the piano, the first time she’s done that since she’s been back. He asks for permission to take Amanda to the prom, and he gets a yes.

Josh is convinced that, regardless of what Kyle may say, he did help Andy in some way.

Kyle realizes that the simplest way to solve a problem is to be sure you have someone to help you, which everybody did by coming together to help each other.

Jericho Season 2 Episode 3

Hawkins and Chavez managed to steal some information in Jericho Season 2 Episode 2 that they’ll use to try to take down the government in Cheyenne. Beck has been told he’ll step down and just focus on Sarah. Those replacing him are unlikely to be good news for the town.

Jimmy returns to work. He recognizes Sarah, telling Beck that Hawkins is connected to her, but he doesn’t go into details since he thinks Hawkins is FBI. The plan is for Hawkins to approach Beck and tell him he’s FBI and that they’re killing his investigation. Hawkins says Beck’s going way too far with the public appeal for Sarah’s capture. He pretends he’s with the Columbus FBI, which Beck doesn’t like, but he agrees to cooperate with him since he wants Sarah more than to worry about politics. Hawkins’ plan is to see if Beck’s interested in hearing the truth about who he’s taking orders from.

Ravenwood is owned by Jennings & Rall and is their own private army. Jake’s very familiar with them, since he worked for Jennings & Rall. While he was working for them in Iraq, they killed some civillians, but there were no consequences because it was Jennings & Rall, who can get away with whatever they want.

Ravenwood stops by to pay Dale’s store a visit, where they confiscate some of his goods, notably medicine, which would have treated the Hudson River virus, and then they get word that the virus has jumped the Mississippi.

Dr. Kenchy reluctantly gives Emily advice about how to proceed with administering the virus. He doesn’t want to get involved himself. She begs him to help, and he orders 3000 syringes, which does not go unnoticed by the powers that be.

With a little advice from Jake, Dale’s able to hijack the truck carrying the vaccines. Meanwhile, Kenchy’s being interrogated by Ravenwood, and he knows exactly what they’re capable of.

A fingerprint trace turns up that Sarah Mason’s prints are classified. Hawkins warns him not to contact Valente because if he does, they’ll turn on him. He suggests the orders are to shoot to kill because they don’t want him to get any useful information.

Kenchy tells where to find the others. Jake finds this out and heads back to the warehouse to warn them. The others are able to escape safely with the goods, but Jake stays behind to stall.

Beck contacts Valente and asks if Sarah’s ever been employed by the US government. Valente tells him no, then says he’s tired of his delays and doesn’t want to hear from him again until he’s captured her.

According to the office in Cheyenne, the vaccines have been delivered and destroyed. This is enough to bail out Jake. They got a break from the inside. Trish has an attack of conscience and decides to do the right thing.

The town in Missouri that’s been hit by the virus was saved by Beck, who acted on his own to make sure they got the treatment they needed.

Hawkins gets an encrypted message that’s a special way of communicating that only his team knew how to read. He calls the phone number and gets somebody who says he wants to help.
