Heroes Season 2 Episode 8

In Heroes Season 2 Episode 7, Peter found himself in a time where the virus that Suresh is so against administering has wiped out most of the world’s population. Hiro made his way back to the present, as did Kensei (as Adam).

Peter doesn’t know any Adam, who says it must be the Haitian’s fault. When he has a flashback about his brother, we see what happened to Nathan and the long haired Peter after they took off to the sky at the end of season 1.

DL’s alive. He just barely escaped being killed by the bullet.

At Alejandro’s wedding, Maya finds his new bride having a fling with her alleged ex. He threatens her, and she kills them both with her new power. Upon going outside, she realizes the rest of the people at the wedding are dead, too.

Peter brings Nathan into the hospital to be treated for the wounds he sustained while he was about to explode. As he’s walking away, Elle and Bob show up, and she uses her powers to knock him out. Bob tells Peter he’s an old friend of his parents. They’ve temporarily disabled his powers.

Bob’s taking care of DL’s medical bills and wants to help Niki get rid of Jessica, with the catch being she must leave her family and enter the program.

Elle cuts Peter’s hair. She did a surprisingly good job. Then she gives him pills she calls Haitian pills.

Here’s where Adam comes in. He says hi to Peter from the next room.

Three months ago…

Micah wants to be a vigilante and pick up police radio calls. DL tells him he wants to be a hero but with the new job he’s got. Niki just dumps the pills she’s got down the drain.

Adam’s got a spot on assessment of Peter, who now thinks he’s dangerous and is willing to be left in there locked up forever. Peter doesn’t want anything to do with Adam but after a month, he does finally give him his name.

Two months ago…

Peter wants to know Elle’s story, since it’s been two months and he doesn’t know anything. He thinks she just wants to be in control. She’s willing to tell, and it’s not pretty. Following some destructive behavior in her childhood, she’s been locked up in that building for 16 years, isolated from the world. Adam advises to keep his distance from her.

Adam gives Peter some more truth. They’re not trying to cure him. They’re just trying to keep him locked up, like Adam has been for 30 years.

Angela asks Heidi to keep secret that Nathan’s supposedly got a mental health disorder.

Niki thinks she can handle her newest personality, Gina, which she invented when she went to LA when she was younger. Doesn’t look like it.

Bob denies Peter’s request to see his family, which leads him to the truth. Adam says he’s not really dangerous… he can save the world. And that’s why he’s locked up.

DL, now a fireman, runs through fire to save a little girl. Micah’s proud he really is a hero.

Peter finds out he can walk through walls, and he grabs Adam and takes off.

Maya’s been tracked down by her brother, along with a cop. So of course she kills the cop. While trying to calm her down, Alejandro figures out how to use his powers.

While she’s away, Niki heads to a club and picks up a guy. DL shows up and hits the guy. As they’re leaving, the guy shoots DL. That explains what happened to him.

Three weeks ago…

At the funeral, Niki decides to get some help and leaves Micah with Nana.

Adam’s blood can save Nathan. He and Peter go there, and he puts some blood in the IV. His skin starts to heal immediately. Adam gives Peter a plane ticket and plans to meet in Montreal. Elle and the Haitian want a piece of Peter, though. She shocks him, and the Haitian chases after him, cornering him where he was found in episode 1, then removing his memory, telling him to go start a new life.

Peter now remembers everything. It’s time to save the world.

Heroes Season 2 Episode 7

In Heroes Season 2 Episode 6, Peter and Caitlin went to Montreal (leading up to a future that’s been destroyed), Claire and West got even with the head cheerleader for not letting Claire on the squad, and Kensei turned on Hiro after he found him kissing Yaeko.

Kensei reveals White Beard offered anything he wanted to capture Hiro, and he asked for half the country and Yaeko as his princess. She tells him she loves Hiro. Kensei says he’ll change history. Too late.

HRG calls Suresh asking about the paintings he’s found, one of which shows Suresh with a gun. Suresh warns that he’s been given a partner, who’s watching his every move. Then Noah burns the paintings.

Matt and Nathan show up at the Company to prevent Matt’s father Maury from killing Bob.

Peter’s screaming for someone, but nobody’s around since the whole city’s been evacuated. Caitlin asks him what he did. They’re jumped by men in biohazard suits who question whether they’re sick and take them away to be decontaminated.

West makes waffles and brings them to Claire, who suggests it’s rude for him to come over without being invited. He shows her the newspaper article where Debbie the drunk cheerleader claimed she saw a boy who could fly.

Bob offers to be bait to attract Maury. He then tells Suresh he’s the one who has to administer the virus to Maury, and it’s Parkman’s job to deal with his father, seeing as they have the same abilities, even if Matt’s are untapped.

Yaeko’s father blames himself for what’s happening, since he forged the guns. Hiro’s high, so he doesn’t look like he’ll be much help, but he does manage to use his powers to get them out of there.

Peter’s told he’s a dead man and brought his death certificate. Then they tell him Caitlin’s been deported because she’s a foreigner. The Shanti virus, which Suresh is dead set against giving to people, has killed 93% of the population, and the rest are quarantined.

Parkman goes to see Molly to apologize, and he notices a spike in brain activity when telling her he loves her.

Niki says she’s been cured and is now able to have a life, but she questions that when she sees her husband telling her it’s not true, thanks to Maury.

Nathan asks who Adam is, and Bob says he’s “complicated,” revealing that Adam’s the actual killer and Maury’s just the weapon. They locked him up and threw away the key, but he escaped two weeks ago. Nathan asks why he should care, and the response is because Peter’s still alive.

Peter’s greeted by his mom, who he doesn’t know. She tells him about his abilities and how he has a brother, or at least had one until the first outbreak. As they’re talking, he starts flashing back to his past and remembers everything.

Claire starts to break the truth to West, but she changes her mind. So of course the next thing we know her father walks in the door. West starts running because it’s the man who abducted him, and when Claire tells him it’s her father, he flies away because he thinks it’s a trap.

Hiro plans to destroy the guns, since that would make White Beard powerless. As for Kensei, Hiro thinks he’s still good inside. He’s greeted by Kensei as he’s working on destroying the guns. Despite being attacked by Kensei, Hiro still refuses to kill him. While they’re fighting, they accidentally set the place on fire. Hiro asks Kensei to go with him, but he doesn’t want to, so Hiro bails but must leave Kensei in the explosion.

Niki starts talking to herself again, as a result of another forced vision from Maury. DL tries to convince her the Company is evil, then Bob comes in and shoots him. Suresh tries to help her, but she just slams him across the room.

Bob informs Nathan they lost track of Peter. Then Niki starts bashing through walls and interrupts them, and she follows that up by injecting herself.

Parkman figures out how to use his abilities and traps his father, and in the process, he realizes he’s no longer scared of him. Doing this frees Molly from her nightmare.

Peter meets up with Caitlin and accidentally warps himself again when she asks him not to let them take her.

After the explosion has passed, Hiro picks up Kensei’s mask, knowing he killed him. Then he goes to Yaeko, who tells him he’s the real hero who did everything, but he tells her that they won’t end up together, as the story actually ended with Kensei cutting out his own heart to save her and his country. Now it’s time for Hiro to leave, but she promises to tell the tales of Kensei so he will have them in his childhood. He returns home to see Ando, who tells him it’s been months and there’s been no bomb, but that his father is dead.

While working on curing Niki, Suresh figures out that she’s got another strain of the virus, for which his blood is no longer a cure. Bob promises to keep Maury sedated and destroy the virus, then he shows him Claire’s file (her regenerative abilities are the key), to which he adds that her father is getting sloppy, emotional, and dangerous. So of course the response to this is that he’s been working with Noah to take down the Company.

Claire’s mom tells her father about West. He does a bit of snooping and finds the newspaper article about how she fell 50 feet to her death. When confronted about this, she tells him nobody actually believes he was at a copy conference. To end the discussion, he says it’s not safe there any more and that they’re leaving. Well, at least he thinks they are because she doesn’t plan to go with him.

Peter tries to figure out who Adam is, since he doesn’t know any Adam. In walks Kensei. Or should I say Adam?

NBC Shuts Down Heroes Production

Interesting post by Travis Yanan over at PIFeedback. “I’ve heard that NBC has shut down production on Heroes. They were in the middle of shooting Episodes 13 and 14. They were asked to reshoot the ending to Episode 11 (which ends the ‘Generations’ volume) to be a season-ender.”

This is the kind of thing we can expect to continue hearing for the foreseeable future as the strike progresses. Most shows don’t have a significant backlog of episodes.

Heroes Season 2 Episode 6

In Heroes Season 2 Episode 5, a new character (Elle) showed up looking for Peter, Monica discovered her powers, Parkman went to see (and get tricked by) his father, Monica got taken to the Company by Suresh, and Peter didn’t find out anything by opening the box but did paint something cryptic that may help.

Because of the painting and tickets from the box, Peter decides to go to Montreal, and Caitlin insists on tagging along.

Claire tries out for the cheerleading squad… and gets rejected by Debbie, a cheertator, who says Claire’s not extraordinary. Could’ve fooled me.

Dr. Suresh is studying Monica’s power, muscle memory. Bob breaks the news to him that he plans to take away her abilities, at any cost. Suresh, who’s been told he must administer the treatment to Monica, calls Claire’s dad, who says he’s going to have to take the risk to keep his cover.

Claire tells West the lie she told her father, that she’s a cheerleader. She tells him she didn’t make the team, and he says to find a way to get on the squad. They stumble on the theory of public humiliation.

Sylar tells Maya about his lost powers and says he’s going to see Dr. Suresh to get it all back. Alejandro begins to get suspicious about Sylar, but Maya insists he go with them when they cross the border.

Back in the past, Hiro discusses how he loves Yaeko but can’t have her.

HRG ties up a guy from his past and tries to get information out of him about where the paintings are. He warns that the Haitian can remove all his most cherished memories. After removing some memories, he gets an offer: to come back to the company.

Alejandro and Maya get to the border and are greeted by locals. Locals with guns. Sylar convinces her to use her gift to get past them. She does and leaves a trail of bodies.

Suresh goes to give the shot to Monica, pretending it will improve her abilities, but he ultimately decides to tell Bob he refuses. He says he’s taking Molly and leaving.

A drunk Debbie agrees to speak to Claire for 5 minutes. Claire asks for another chance, which is refused. West swoops in and grabs Claire, dropping her on the ground, which would kill most people. He then goes for Debbie. She tries to convince people Claire’s dead. Then Claire walks up, perfectly fine. They can’t find any dead bodies, but they do find Debbie’s liquor.

Yaeko’s father taught White Beard how to make guns to save his daughter’s life, and White Beard plans to overthrow the Emperor with these weapons. They decide to destroy the weapons and save Japan. As they’re about to get shot, Hiro warps Yaeko to, well, it’s not apparent where.

Bob apologizes to Suresh, who says he’s stuck there anyway because Molly’s still not well.

Yaeko figures out that it was really Hiro who saved her, and she asks if he loves her, to which he responds that he does. She goes to kiss him, and he decides he doesn’t care about the space time continuum and lets her.

Maya gets Alejandro to agree to let her keep Sylar around, which he does, very reluctantly. Sylar breaks the news that when he gets his ability back, he’s going to kill both of them and take their powers.

Debbie’s suspended from the cheerleading squad due to drinking on school grounds, so a spot’s open, and Claire’s in.

HRG finally finds a threat that works: he’ll remove memories of his daughter. They’re told the paintings are in the warehouse. And with that, HRG shoots the man, as the threat of being condemned to Hell doesn’t seem to be enough.

Kensei catches Yaeko and Hiro kissing, but Hiro says that kiss is their last. When Hiro turns his back, he hits him from behind. Dead? Unconscious?

Niki tells Suresh she’s cured and is going to be his new partner.

The Haitian and HRG go to the paintings. The question comes up, “What does it mean?”

In Montreal, Peter gets a warning from Adam that the world is in danger because of the Company. He asks what the future holds, which takes him to a destroyed New York City from June 2008.
