The disastrous women’s team turned on Carol Leifer after Donald Trump started swearing over their indecision, and she was the first person booted from the show in The Celebrity Apprentice 3 Episode 1.

Kodak gets the spotlight this week. The task is to relaunch Kodak Moments by creating their own photo studio and storefront experience.

Sinbad will be the project manager for the guys, by appointment of the governor. The women dance around it for a while before picking Maria Kanellis.

Sharon thinks Maria is trying to prove herself, which is exactly what is going on.

Michael Johnson doesn’t think anybody really understands what Sinbad is saying.

When the executives show up, Cyndi Lauper decides that’s a good time to go to the bathroom. So rather than proceeding and filling her in later, the women insist that they stop and wait. The execs don’t want to wait any longer because they’re short on time. Really? You get this kind of exposure, and you don’t budget much time for it? When Cyndi does return, she’s got a bunch of questions about how to use the camera.

Cyndi keeps asking questions (questions that seem fine to me), which is grating on Maria, Summer, and Holly.

Bret would like to know what Sinbad wants him to do. It does not appear that Sinbad knows what he wants him to do. Rod Blagojevich doesn’t have anything to do either, so he gets on the phone and then goes outside to talk to the public and continue trying to clear his name.

Maria’s charity is the Make A Wish Foundation, and they will be sending some kids down to incorporate them into the task.

Don Jr. sees a lot more organization from the women this time. Ivanka is worried that the guys are relying solely on celebrity, which may not be something the executives like.

Bret’s not any happier as the task goes on. He believes the producers will make him out to be a villain. He’s sure giving them ammo to work with.

The guys all run out into the street to take photos, which may prove to be a bonding experience for them.

For the women, their concept is a red carpet for a celebrity moment of being a champion in the WWE.

As the women she’s with try to get something accomplished, Cyndi babbles on endlessly with stories that really don’t matter. Selita makes up any excuse to run away.

On the advice of the medical team, Sharon Osbourne will be heading home for the night. This is why she did not take on the task of project manager because she thought she was getting sick.

As for the men, nobody’s confident in the plan, or lack thereof. They’re hoping for a miracle. Either that, or the girls will need to fall on their faces, which doesn’t appear like it’s going to happen.

The next morning, Bret’s late, which is apparently becoming a pattern, so they leave him behind.

Sharon, meanwhile, says she’s feeling better (as she’s hacking away), enough so that she is able to rejoin her team.

Sinbad placed the order with the printing company for the pictures they took on the streets. That order got mixed up. This leaves the guys with a blank wall, running against the clock and just hoping they get something. With 5 minutes to spare, the delivery arrives. It’s on the smallish side, but it helps fill in the wall some.

Still somewhat sickly, Sharon has been assigned to the task of handling and passing out cupcakes and water. That aside, Maria’s vision has come together well and seems to be flowing smoothly.

Unlike the women, who have a station at the end to hand out their celebrity pictures, the guys have opted for another strategy. Since it would take too much time to print the pictures anyway, they print out cards telling people how they can get their pictures online, which offers them an added benefit of being able to talk about the web experience. The other advantage is that, when the power goes out, the women need to wait for their machines to come back up, causing increasing lines around that printing station.

Each team is visited by secret shoppers. First up is James, who is confused by the men. Then Lauren visits the women, who greet her at the door and explain everything, but the printing station is chaos.

Although they seem to have pulled everything else together, the men have neglected to have anyone demonstrating the product. They also failed to hand out web cards to everyone, including two of the secret shoppers.

Maria loved her team. Once again, the women aren’t going to be able to say anything bad about each other.

Sinbad thought Darryl Strawberry and Goldberg were the big draws.

The Kodak executives loved the job that the women did, so the women win. As the winning project manager, Maria wins $20,000 for her charity.

Sinbad says that Bret lost a little bit of focus. Bret’s response is that Sinbad ignored him.

Michael agrees that he was not being led either, but unlike Bret, he found something to do. So who was the stronger leader of the two? Bret. But he was not a better follower.

Curtis says that Sinbad was an average leader. Michael agrees. Always the politician, Rod talks and talks without really saying anything. When pushed, he agrees that Sinbad didn’t delegate strongly enough.

Sinbad returns to the boardroom with Bret and Rod. At least this week we have people able to make a decision.

Bret says that Sinbad’s lack of organization on the first day is to blame.

Why did Sinbad bring Rod back in? Because he couldn’t bring the other guys back.

Rod would fire the project manager, since nobody on the team failed.

Bret’s explanation for his disappearance was that it was a self imposed timeout, rather than getting into a fight. Sinbad thinks he’s manageable, albeit not easily.

Having lost control of the task and Bret, Sinbad is fired. His advice to those who remain: throw people under the bus.
