Big Brother 10 Episode 12

As a special programming note, this episode of Big Brother 10 will be preempted in some markets for preseason football (impacted markets include IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MO, NY, OH, and RI). Check your local listings to find out when the show will air.

In Big Brother 10 Episode 11, everybody got into a fight with… everybody else. Except Dan. Jessie hates Libra (still) and vice versa. Keesha, after having thrown away the opportunity to get rid of Jessie last week when the rest of the house begged her to take him out, has decided that she now hates him, too. She also apparently hates April. And Renny hates Jerry because, well, I never did figure out why. Michelle hates Libra because she’s a sore loser. Memphis still hates Jerry for calling him a womanizer. At the end of the day, all this arguing didn’t make much difference, and veto winner Jerry kept the nominations the same, so it will be either Memphis or Jessie heading home tonight.

Memphis says there is no alliance any more. Yeah, no kidding. These idiots have gotten picked off like flies.

Like last week when Keesha promised Jessie his safety despite nominating him, April has also promised him safety despite nominating him. Hopefully he won’t take the opportunity to be an asshat again. Once again, the rest of the house feels threatened by Jessie. This time, though, I’d say he’s the less threatening of the two options. Keesha, who flat out refused to get rid of Jessie last week, is mad at April because she is doing the same thing. So is the word I’m searching for here moron or hypocrite? Libra’s also mad because Jessie is (as usual) coming after her if he ever wins anything again.

Keesha and April know they have Renny, but they need a fourth vote to make a move. That fourth vote is Dan (aka America, unbeknownst to them) because they know they won’t get the support of Jerry, Michelle, or Ollie on this issue. Dan gives them his word that he’ll vote with them. The good news for Dan is that America’s already made it apparent to him that nobody likes Jessie. This is the pathetic part, though. BB complains about outside influences, yet they’re letting a public vote singlehandedly shape the entire rest of the game.

April has figured out the same thing. She has Jerry go to Dan to try to convince him to vote to get rid of Memphis. He listens but doesn’t really make any commitments. Dan realizes that, either way, this America’s Player nonsense will screw him, but he’s better off if America votes out Jessie.

Michelle says she loves the unitard. At least she’s done whining about it.

Keesha says that none of the drama from her birthday party has been forgotten.

Libra answers a viewer question that she doesn’t regret taking the trip to Hawaii (probably worth about $10k) instead of a letter from home because her family wants to go somewhere and they’re in good hands anyway. Why are we even dwelling on this anyway?

April thinks she’s still allied with Libra and Keesha. She takes credit for saving them and isn’t happy with how they’ve treated her this week. April wants Memphis gone because he hasn’t made any effort to get her support.

Keesha-Jessie
Renny-Jessie
America-Jessie

What a silly, silly show. By America’s vote, Jessie has been evicted from the Big Brother house. The lines in the house have been redrawn. Not sure to what. Jessie blames Dan, who he claims swore up and down that he was safe. And apparently the fact that Dan doesn’t go to church on Sundays is a problem. Jessie doesn’t regret any of his asshattery. April’s shocked that the person she nominated for eviction has actually been… evicted. Libra tells him good riddance. Keesha tells him the same. As does Renny. Michelle vows to get revenge for him.

Obnoxious wake up calls are back. This proved to be entertaining last time they did it during All Stars. The no apparent reason for this becomes somewhat apparent because the HOH competition is based on those wake up calls (yeah, lame). Everybody gets the first question right. Renny and Ollie are eliminated on the second question. Jerry, Dan, April, and Memphis are eliminated on the third question, leaving Libra against Michelle. Michelle is correct on the fourth question and wins HOH. Big surprise. April celebrates more than she did when she won HOH, and Libra and Keesha’s insistence on screwing over their alliance has come back to bite them just 5 minutes after the fact. Major coup followed immediately by a realization that it was an unnecessary move, the kind of stupid game ending move somebody always makes at this point in the game. Memphis is quick to let Michelle know he doesn’t want anything to do with the people who saved him.

BB10 Spoilers

Big Brother 10 Episode 11

Jessie was nominated as usual in Big Brother 10 Episode 10, but as with last week, he was not the HOH’s intended target. Instead, April is aiming for his ally Memphis.

Michelle thinks the pawn typically goes home, which is true. The good news is that these dumbasses kept Jessie last week even though he was a dumbass.

Dan’s got a new task from America. He must hug Jessie for at least 10 seconds. America has issues. Either that or people are hoping to get a preview of Jessie’s gay porn debut. Dan decides to approach Jessie with a sob story about his girlfriend Monica. Jessie is very moved by the story, and Dan manages to pull off the hug for 17 seconds.

April selects at random Michelle for veto.
Jessie selects Libra.
Memphis selects Jerry.

Jessie’s happy to have his ally having his back. April has no confidence in either Jerry or Libra, and she doesn’t hide it from Libra. Libra walks out and begins discussing it with Keesha, who also has problems with April. Jessie is awakened by their loud conversation and overhears everything.

Jessie goes to April and tells her what he overheard. April gets it into her head that she’s going to argue with Libra. Ollie doesn’t have any problem with her putting a fresh target on her (their) head(s). While April and Libra are talking, Keesha gets pissed off and walks out of the room, wanting to know why April’s a bitch and who told her what she’d said. After some screaming in the other room about how she hates April’s guts, she returns to tell April how she feels in person. After some pushing, April reveals that Jessie was the one who told her about the conversation. Jerry enters the room to be the voice of reason. Then Renny decides she hates him and goes out into the other room to stir up Memphis.

Jessie decides he wants to argue with Libra. Libra tells Jessie she’s done arguing. Apparently. Wouldn’t know it by the amount of yelling she continues to do.

With that said, it’s time for a merry birthday celebration for Keesha. And they actually let them sing Happy Birthday. Shelling out the bucks to pay for that song instead of For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow… they must really want us to see this moment.

Michelle gets into the mix, asking if anybody even knows what the fight’s about. This just leads to more screaming. Keesha decides she wants Jessie gone and that he’s a little kid.

The veto competition is hockey. In each round, the players will shoot and try to get closest to the center of the net. Whoever is furthest away is eliminated and can choose a prize. Each eliminated person can keep their prize or exchange it with someone else. Memphis misses completely and is the first out. He gets the power of veto, which he probably won’t keep for very long. Michelle misses completely the next time and is eliminated next. She gets a Hawaiian holiday. Jessie is in the slot furthest from veto and is the third person eliminated. He gets a slop surprise, which may or may not come back to haunt him. He trades it with Memphis for the power of veto. April is eliminated next, leaving the two people she thought sucked most (Jerry and Libra) as the last two standing. She wins 10 gold bars worth $1,000 each, which can be used as she sees fit, including giving them to other players. She decides to keep this prize. Libra gets it right in the middle, and Jerry is the last one eliminated. He gets a letter from home, which he trades for the veto after agreeing with April to split the $10k three ways. Libra wins first place, a red unitard (used by Jen and Sheila). She trades it for the Hawaiian trip from Michelle. Memphis’ slop surprise is a one week slop pass, but he also chooses who will be on slop for a week. He picks Jerry and doesn’t believe Jerry will use the veto on him anyway.

Michelle makes it abundantly clear that she’s pissed off at having the unitard. She wants to quit the game. She complains to Big Brother that she’s been made a fool out of, so she makes a big scene to make a bigger fool of herself. Then she tells us Libra’s an unfit mother because she took a trip to Hawaii instead of a letter from home. Jessie promises her she’ll win the next HOH.

As planned, Jerry does not use the power of veto.

Like last week, the house wants Jessie out, but the HOH doesn’t want to hear it. Will they bow down to the HOH again? The irony here is that Keesha now wants Jessie gone, despite throwing away the opportunity to take him out last week.

As his final task, Dan will be voting the way America wants. This has badness written all over it.

BB10 Spoilers

Big Brother 10 Episode 10

Despite the fact that everybody in the house considered Jessie a bigger threat, Angie was voted out of the house unanimously in Big Brother 10 Episode 9. We left off at the start of an endurance HOH competition.

Jerry is the first one off the ledge at 26 minutes. Libra follows at 33 minutes. Dan’s out at 45 minutes, not doing a very good job of hiding the fact that he threw the competition. Then Ollie drops at 55 minutes, also looking suspicious. Jessie’s in obvious pain, and he falls at just over an hour, insisting that it’s a “bogus” competition. Memphis is the first to start discussing a deal. Nobody budges, and he drops at 1 hour 16 minutes.

Dan gives a motivational speech to Renny to keep her going. To be fair, it’s apparent this competition was no more designed for the men (buff or not) than any prior endurance competitions have been, but she deserves a lot of credit for her efforts nonetheless. She ends up falling at 1 hour 58 minutes.

That leaves Michelle and April as the last two standing. Both alliances are counting on their last remaining members. About two and a half hours in, Michelle’s in obvious danger. April promises her she won’t put her up. Then, for some reason, April, the one in control here, willingly offers to keep Jessie in the game, too. At 2 hours 40 minutes, accepting April’s not entirely clear promise, Michelle drops, and April is the new HOH.

Michelle believes Jessie will be safe. April also believes Jessie will be safe, but not because she doesn’t plan to put him up.

Keesha has decided she wants to be friends with Memphis now, after having decimated his alliance last week during her reign as HOH. I don’t get this chick. Pick a side already, or at least don’t pick both sides. Her alliance doesn’t trust her (still). Renny lets her know to stop being stupid, telling her that April’s definitely coming after her.

Dan gets his first assignment from America. America wants Dan to try to get Jessie nominated. Should be a fairly easy assignment to pull off. At least America didn’t totally screw him over (remember Eric?) and tell him to do something stupid like get Libra nominated. Granted, many of the votes probably came from people who had no clue who won HOH, making this a particularly lame week in which to have this vote. The bad thing about this is that it’s unlike Dan, so April thinks he may very well be America’s Player (this is the reason why you don’t use the same twist twice, particularly one as stupid as the America’s Player twist… hire someone with an imagination for a change).

Nominations
Michelle is safe.
Ollie is safe.
Renny is safe.
Libra is safe.
Keesha is safe.
Jerry is safe.
Dan is safe.

Jessie and Memphis have been nominated for eviction. Jessie’s realized that his alliance sucks. Nobody seems upset about Jessie’s nomination, and Jessie and Michelle hope once again that Jessie is safe because that’s how the HOH wants it. Let’s see if he lets it go to his head again.

BB10 Spoilers

Big Brother 10 Episode 9

Following her nominations of Jessie and Angie, Keesha won veto in Big Brother 10 Episode 8 and decided to keep her original nominations intact. Jessie went psycho for most of the episode in an effort to seal his own fate.

Jessie says he knows the way everybody is going to vote, so he can do whatever he wants.

Michelle’s following into the same trap as everybody else who’s been evicted. She’s too emotionally attached to those exiting and doesn’t have the relationships with anybody else.

Memphis suspects that Jessie is the actual target. He runs up to Keesha to tell her that Jerry told Angie she’s not out of the game. Jerry denies it.

Angie’s looking to piss people off (at herself). She lies (or at least holds back part of the truth) and tells Michelle that Jerry said that Memphis, Jessie, and Michelle acted like they were in control of the house. This turns into another screaming match between two obnoxious people. He flat out denies that he will flip to their side in the event they win HOH. They interpret this denial as confirmation that his plan is to flip to them.

The house feels the earthquake that happened near LA the other day. Most of them are afraid because they’ve never dealt with an earthquake. The players take this as an opportunity to hate on each other.

Jessie (block guy) waves bye bye to Libra to let her know he’s coming after her. Yeah, way to convince her to vote for you to stay. Then he calls Jerry Father Time. And Renny hated him from the beginning. The house decides Jessie’s a dumbass, and they begin talking about trying to convince Keesha to let them do it (they will do as she says, for some stupid reason).

According to Julie, the airplane banner had nothing to do with Big Brother. Michelle still pretends she saw something, as if anybody’s buying it.

Jerry says he’s apologized to Memphis for calling him a womanizer.

Keesha says she plans to keep her promise to Libra all the way to the end, although she is more loyal to Renny.

Despite much stupidity, Jessie easily gets through to next week. By a unanimous vote, Angie has been evicted from the Big Brother house. These people get dumber by the minute.

Since it sucked so bad the first time, America’s players is back, yet again proving that the producers of this show struggle when it comes to imagination and new (good) concepts. America has voted for Dan to be America’s Player for a week. Dan’s aware that this is the worst possible thing he can do for his game, but with the offer of $20,000 on the line, he decides to go ahead and take the deal. Damn you, CBS. His first assignment will be to try to get someone nominated.

And then the HOH competition begins. It’s an endurance competition. Everybody stands on a building ledge and grabs on by a bar. They decide to toss in some aftershocks to make things a bit more interesting.

Big Brother 10 Episode 8

Angie got herself nominated in Big Brother 10 Episode 7 by deciding two weeks ago that she hated everybody. Not to be outdone, Jessie opened up his big mouth and put a bigger target on his own back rather than just letting Angie take the fall.

Jessie tells us that nominating him was disrespectful. Uh. What?

Michelle, who’s in a not so secret alliance of four, is wondering when the other not so secret alliance of four changed their plan.

Jerry doesn’t like or respect Memphis, but he’s afraid he’ll win the game.

Jessie immediately runs upstairs and once again tries to spin the target back to Libra. Yep, still not at all concerned that he’s on the block with Angie.

Keesha picks Libra at random for veto.
Angie picks Ollie.
Jessie picks Memphis.

They must put on ridiculous looking flower outfits and then head out to the backyard. They’ll plant themselves in their flower pots and put their heads under a slowly dripping water faucet. Whoever stays in closest to the one hour mark without going over will win the power of veto. Of course, the water dripping on their heads isn’t enough. The rest of the house (Jerry mostly) decides to dump live worms on the contestants when given the choice between worms and compost. Ollie is terrified by the deadly worms. Keesha quits because she’s creeped out by the worms, and she’s out at 21:18. Jessie decides to turn it into gameplay midway through and asks Libra who told him to nominate Steven. At the 45 minute mark, they dump some compost on the contestants to make them even more comfortable. Nobody is particularly phased, and they all just stay still. Libra decides to quit, and Ollie agrees to go 5 minutes after her. She believes it’s been close to an hour. Jessie is the next one to quit because he doesn’t want Libra to beat him. After that, Libra tells Jessie in front of Keesha that she already spilled the beans to her herself. So then Jessie says the problem was he was peer pressured into making a decision by a bunch of people, not just Libra any more. Everybody else jumps out. Having wussed out early, the winner is Keesha. Everybody else went over an hour by at least 15 minutes.

Jessie’s got a new plan. Get Libra nominated. Oh wait. I’ve heard that one before already. Repeatedly. He wants Angie to pitch the idea to remove Jessie and put Libra on the block in his place. When she makes the pitch, she says she couldn’t go another week living with Libra. Yeah, this is the type of person you really want to keep around.

Keesha, Ollie, and April all say they don’t trust Libra because she’s putting a target on her back. For some reason, they don’t see that her being the target instead of them is a good thing (if she goes, they’re next). Despite their worries, though, Keesha has given Libra her word, and she plans to stick to that.

Jessie goes to Keesha to tell her she can’t trust Libra. Yes. Again. Then he gives her a sob story about how he’s losing weight (he’s down to what, 200 now?) and can’t sleep.

America’s Player is back. Oh god no. No. No. No. No. Did I mention no? We already went through this stupidity once. Can we please get a twist that doesn’t suck, CBS? This game is supposed to be about strangers and how they interact, not how America can interfere with and manipulate the game. If there’s any manipulation to be done, the producers should just stick to the usual like rigging competitions. The good news is that it’s just for one week. The bad news is that it’s for one whole week. America will be able to vote for the person they want to be America’s player, and that person must do as they say if they agree to take the deal ($20,000). This is game suicide and would be stupid for anyone to accept.

Jessie’s back to yell at Keesha. Again. With the same story. Again. Dude, we get the point already. She’s starting to realize he’s a few fries short of a Happy Meal. She tells the whole house she’s not going back on her word, so she wants them to stop.

A banner plane flies over the house. Because this ruined season 8, they are no longer allowed to read the cheating banners. Jessie comes up with the idea to pretend it says that Libra’s a liar. After they reveal this, Memphis decides on his own to spin it further. It’s no longer just Libra. It’s Libra and something. Somehow, this leads to a discussion about how Jerry called Memphis is a womanizer, and Memphis threatens to get really real.

Keesha has decided not to use the power of veto. I wonder if Jessie will continue to try to get Libra nominated in the hopes that there will be a twist that will allow her to go home. Or perhaps he will finally start going after Angie, who just hopes she can get him to go crazy. Shouldn’t take much.

As a reminder, eviction nights have been moved to Thursdays, effective immediately.

BB10 Spoilers

Big Brother 10 Episode 7

Steven was sent packing in Big Brother 10 Episode 6 following one of the most predictable weeks ever. Since the majority of the house decided to split into two groups, the power as usual flipped back to the opposite group, with Keesha winning HOH.

Now it’s time to dwell on Steven’s classy final words “Suck it, bitches.” And time for Angie to whine more about how nobody likes her. She believes now she can focus more on strategy (even a little bit would be more).

Keesha promises us she will turn the house upside down. She’s seeking revenge for Steven’s boot. Her alliance is happy even though she hates them (and they still don’t trust her), and Renny says she’s happy because she likes Keesha.

Dan threw the HOH competition again, but he didn’t make it quite as obvious.

Keesha has news for the rest of the house. They don’t have the decision. She does, and she’s changing this game. So I guess we know she won’t be standing there in the end. Every time somebody makes one of these big crazy game changing moves, particularly one based on revenge, it’s typically the worst possible move they can make, and ultimately the reason they lose the game.

Keesha feels the same about Renny as Renny does about her. Like Keesha, Renny hates everybody else in the house, so at least they have that in common. Renny wants her to know that Libra can’t be trusted.

Keesha tells her side she wants to put up Angie because she blames her the most for Steven’s eviction. They tell her she should put up Memphis alongside Angie, but it doesn’t appear she’s listening. Then she decides to tell Memphis that Angie’s her target. He tells her to go ahead and go for it, but that she’s creating an unnecessary target on her back by doing that. He immediately goes to his side and tells them everything, having told her he wouldn’t say anything.

Angie blames everybody else and says that it’s their idea, but that Keesha’s just too weak to stand up to them. Hopefully she’ll get a clue sooner or later.

Dan tells Keesha he has nothing going for him (for that matter he doesn’t really want to have anything going for himself either). She tells him he’s safe this week, despite original plans to the contrary, and she expects a returned favor when he’s in power (like he’s stupid enough to ever be in power).

Libra admits to Keesha that she doubted her and that she was targeting Steven.

It’s time for the food competition, where they dress up like the 50s and go to a sock hop. The house will be working together to ensure that nobody gets sent to the hospital this week. The guys get on one side of the wall, and the girls go on the other. They must match a basket of socks, but they can’t see each other. April and Ollie don’t communicate well… they probably don’t come up for air often enough to do a lot of that. Renny mostly just screams a lot, not making a great deal of sense to herself or anyone else. Libra hopes to work well with Jerry since she (aka Renny) called him slow and old. They end up winning a variety of food, a nice break from the slop. Michelle’s most excited about the pigs feet. Renny’s upset that she was the only one to be forced to skip, and the wine they lost is a huge blow to her.

Ollie tells April he always sees construction ahead signs in relationships and that he always takes the detour.

Keesha continues to spill her guts to everybody. She tells Jessie her plan to put up Angie. He tries to convince her that she should put up Libra instead of Memphis. He doesn’t appear to get it through his head that she wants Angie gone, and he just keeps pushing and pushing for her to some way, somehow get rid of Libra.

Nominations
Dan is safe.
Renny is safe.
April is safe.
Memphis is safe.
Ollie is safe.
Libra is safe.
Jerry is safe.
Michelle is safe.

Jessie and Angie have been nominated for eviction. Keesha says that Jessie’s arrogance is what got him nominated. He should have just kept his mouth shut like Memphis did.

BB10 Spoilers

Big Brother 10 Schedule Change

Confused by the current 8:00 Sunday, 9:00 Tuesday, 8:00 Wednesday schedule? Let’s complicate things a bit more then. CBS has announced that Big Brother 10 will be moving from its Wednesday time period to its usual (prior to BB9) time period of Thursdays at 8, effective immediately. Greatest American Dog will be taking over Big Brother 10’s old time slot on Wednesdays.

Big Brother 10 Episode 6

Despite assurances from a powerless nominee that it would be in her best interest to use the veto, Michelle decided not to put her neck on the line in Big Brother 10 Episode 5, leaving the nominations the same, so either Dan or Steven will be going home tonight.

Steven’s got a new plan. He wants people to believe he’s on their side. He approaches Ollie, April, and Keesha. Afterwards, they decide that the other half of the house is going to be against them, so they need to make sure they’ve got somebody else on their side.

Dan makes a pitch to Michelle and Jessie, but he doesn’t want to drive people nuts and get desperate about it, so he makes it brief.

Angie still hates everybody and discusses with Memphis how much she continues to hate April and Ollie. They’re counting on Dan to bail them out with the numbers. Angie and Memphis believe it’s a secret that the fact that they’re allies is a secret.

Even though she hates April, Ollie, and Libra and wishes she weren’t in an alliance with them, Keesha pushes to solidify her alliance behind her plan of keeping Steven and bringing him in.

Libra wants Big Brother to make the competitions fair. Yeah, I suppose you want them to stop rigging them, too.

Julie wants to know about the love in the air between April and Ollie. Ollie doesn’t believe his father would care that he’s having unprotected sex on national TV with a girl he just met.

Renny’s son doesn’t think Jessie was brought up to respect the elderly.

Jessie sees his biggest weakness is that people may group him and Michelle together. He’s concerned that not nominating Renny may come back to bite him.

By a unanimous vote, Steven has been evicted from the Big Brother house. He’s happy to be going home to someone special, and the houseguests all have nice things to say.

April’s blowdrying her hair and sees an alien. Jessie’s staring at himself in the mirror as usual and sees an alien. Renny’s washing dishes and takes quite a bit of time before noticing an alien. Then things start to disappear by alien intervention. This is obviously all part of a competition. Whoever is not eliminated in each round gets to pick who they want to compete against each other in this one, typically a good way to see where people’s loyalties stand.

April is up against Dan first. Dan is correct, and April is eliminated.
Dan picks Renny and Libra to be the next two. Renny is incorrect and is eliminated.
Memphis and Angie are next. Memphis is correct, and Angie is eliminated.
Ollie and Jerry are next. Jerry is incorrect and is eliminated.
Michelle and Keesha are next. Michelle is incorrect and is eliminated.
Libra and Dan are next. Libra is correct, and Dan is eliminated.
Memphis and Keesha are next. Keesha is correct, and Memphis is eliminated.
Ollie and Libra compete to see who will be in the final two. Libra is correct, and Ollie is eliminated.
It’s down to Libra and Keesha. Libra is incorrect, and Keesha is the new HOH.
