Supernatural Season 3 Episode 1

A man sees his trash cans rattling for no apparent reason. Then a light flickers. Then all the lights on the street start flickering. All pretty odd, but it’s the ominous cloud in the sky that begins chasing after him which really freaks him out. Until it takes over his body.

A week later, Sam’s got his face buried in a book, and Bobby calls him up to tell him if he’s going to break Dean free of selling his soul, he’s not going to find the answer in a book. When he goes to get Dean to head out on the road, Sam walks in on his brother having sex. After getting past this, Dean wishes the war would just start already, then they head to Nebraska to check out a crop failure.

When they go into a house, they find the TV on and three dead bodies on the couch in front of it. After he steps out the porch, Dean gets beat down by a man with a gun, Isaac, a man Bobby is well acquainted with. They find out the cause of death was dehydration and starvation, and the people just sat down and never got up, though nobody’s sure why since they had plenty of food in the kitchen. Isaac doesn’t want to work with the boys because he’s angry about the coming war they caused.

The guy who earlier had been possessed by the cloud walks into a store and touches a woman, getting her to believe the shoes another woman is holding are nice. Because getting a woman to come to that conclusion apparently requires supernatural intervention. She goes up to the other woman and says she wants those shoes. She’s told they’re the last pair but follows her out the store to again ask for them. She bashes her head into a car and takes the shoes. Shoe sales are dangerous.

Upon arrival, Dean uses the time to hit on a girl. Bobby tries to find out whether the woman was possessed, but she comes up clean. They review the security tapes and at least get a good look at the guy but don’t get very far in determining that he was at fault. Sam confirms the man’s name is Walter and that he went missing about a week ago, the night the devil’s gate opened. They track him down. Bobby advises waiting until they figure out what Walter’s capable of before they go after him, but Isaac has other plans, as he shows up there with his wife (Tamara) and is ready to go after him. Heading after Walter, Isaac gets stopped by someone else, who also turns out to be a demon. The rest of the people in the bar, also demons, aren’t happy to see him either. One of them touches him and gets him to drink drain cleaner, killing him. Sam, Dean, and Bobby drive through the wall and rescue Tamara.

She turns out to be irrational and wants to go back to the bar. Bobby informs them they’re up against the 7 deadly sins, live and in the flesh. The family was killed by sloth, the shopper was killed by envy, and Isaac was killed by gluttony. Bobby manages to talk some sense into Tamara, who agrees to assist them when they do actually come up with a plan.

They capture Walter and interrogate him. He wants to have a little fun… seeing people’s insides on their outside. He accuses them all of being guilty of sin. They make quick work of him with an exorcism, but not before he warns the others will be coming, so they prepare for it.

Isaac shows up, possessed by one of the demons. He gets to her by talking about the past, and she jumps out of the building and attacks him, the perfect opening for the other demons to enter the house. Bobby traps one of them and exorcises him. Unsurprisingly, lust goes after Dean, but he’s got the willpower to dunk her head in holy water. Pride and a couple other demons attack Sam, but he’s rescued by a knife wielding girl who takes them all out, though none of them can figure out how she’s killing demons with a knife. She knows who he is, even if he doesn’t know her. Two of the possessed humans do survive, but they have to burn the others.

Sam asks the question: if they let out the 7 deadly sins, what else did they let out? He then asks Bobby whether they can win the war but doesn’t get a response.

Sam keeps pushing Dean to try to save himself and find a way out of the deal. Dean tells him why he doesn’t want to be rescued. If they try to screw up the deal, Sam dies, so if Sam tries to find a way, Dean says he’ll stop him himself.

The Bachelor 11 Episode 2

In episode 1, Brad met 25 women and narrowed down his choices to 15 based on, well, I’m not real sure what it was based on.

The first group date is a day at the races with Erin, McCarten, Kristy, Mallory, Hillary, Jade, and DeAnna. Brad gives the women some money to bet with because he believes you can tell a lot about a person based on how they bet. I’ll take his word for that. Hillary and Brad disappear and end up holding hands, which causes the other girls to get upset. When they get back, they’re greeted by Shaun Phillips of the San Diego Chargers. He says he likes DeAnna and McCarten.

The second group date is a beach date, which the girls are excited about because of how of how impressed Brad was with Mallory for no other reason than her putting on a bikini.

But as they’re getting excited about going on the date, an accident happens, and they hear screaming coming from upstairs. Michele is brought out of the house on a stretcher. It’s not immediately clear what actually happened. She calls Brad at the racetrack and tells him she’s got a mild concussion, which the other girls find suspect that she’s calling him in that state. She does return to the house but is unable to go on the first group date.

McCarten’s not shy to start kissing Brad at the racetrack, which doesn’t do her any favors because it’s too forced, poorly timed, and not good.

While chatting with DeAnna, he decides to leave her alone for a bit, but the reason for it is that he needs to go get the rose to give to her. She tells him her longest relationship ended after he cheated on her, then all the other girls go butt in to interrupt them. Hillary says she’s pissed off about not getting a rose.

Then it’s time for the second group date, where a bunch of surgically enhanced girls strip down to try to impress Brad. They insist he take his shirt off, which he was supposedly being shy about, and Stephy decides to just take it off for him. He chats with Sarah and says she seems like a down to earth girl who’s fun. Solisa has him do a body shot, drinking off her body. I guess she’s hoping he likes girls who are really wild. Later that night, she also decides to go topless, which is a solo act that all the others seem to think is crazy. Brad kisses Jenni, which unlike McCarten is something that, while she initiates it, she makes sure he’s actually ready and interested. The other girls think she’s just there to advance her career. He gives Sarah the second rose. Lindsey says she thinks Sarah’s fake because she’s too happy all the time.

When he gets back to the house, Brad’s first move is to go sit with Michele. She said their time together felt rushed. He then speaks with Bettina, who’s afraid to tell him she’s divorced.

The girls are talking about how they hate Jenni, when Jenni walks by and overhears that the problem with her is that she brought her portfolio book. She gets upset and starts crying. Jade pretends to be sympathetic but then goes and tells Brad, though she doesn’t mention any names. DeAnna tells her not to trust anybody.

Roses:
DeAnna
Sarah
Kristy
Bettina
Hillary
Stephy
Sheena
McCarten
Jenni
Lindsey
Jade
Solisa

Michele, Erin, and Mallory have been eliminated.

Kyle XY Renewed for Season 3

ABC Family announced today it has picked up Kyle XY for an additional 10 episodes for its third season, TVGuide reports. Presumably, season 3 will start in the summer like the previous two seasons did, but no date has yet been announced. Currently, an additional 10 episodes are being filmed for the last half of season 2. During its first two seasons, Kyle XY has become one of ABC Family’s biggest hits, particularly among teens and young adults.

Additionally, Ally Sheedy will join the cast this season as Jessi XX’s mom.

Survivor: China Episode 3

In episode 2, Jean-Robert got in trouble with his tribe for sleeping all the time, which he said was strategy (huh?), but he lucked out that the other tribe couldn’t compete in the challenge. Zhan Hu decided to break up the tension in their tribe by booting either Ashley or Dave, and they chose Ashley, a move I can’t imagine they won’t regret. Maybe Dave will have a new attitude this week, though. Or not.

Jean-Robert says to call him creepy if they want to, and the women take him up on that offer. Taking up the whole bed and insisting on cuddling with women who aren’t attracted to him is making him even more enemies.

Peih-Gee is concerned that Dave’s wasting his energy at camp, which will again make him wiped out for the challenge, which he performed horribly at last week. His theory is that camp needs to be sorted, and if it’s not, that is what will cause problems at challenges. Frosti thinks Dave should just be happy he didn’t get voted out last time. Yep, definitely no new attitude here.

At the reward challenge, teams start on opposite ends and must battle each other three-on-three to throw the other tribe into the water. Reward is kerosene, a lantern, pillows, blankets, and a tarp. Courtney and Todd sit out for Fei Long. Jaime, Peih-Gee, and Sherea beat Amanda, Denise, and Leslie. Dave pulls a Richard Hatch and takes his pants off. James is the last man standing against Zhan Hu’s men to tie it 1-1. Jaime and Peih-Gee again take the win for Zhan Hu. James then again is the last man standing to tie it 2-2. In the final matchup, Jaime and Peih-Gee win it for Zhan Hu, which marks the first challenge they’ve won. They decide to kidnap Leslie.

Leslie believes the other tribe has an advantage in terms of morale. She spills a lot of information to the girls and Eric. I’m not sure she went too far, but she definitely volunteered way more information than she needed to.

Todd and Courtney are eavesdropping on James and Jean-Robert and overhear Jean-Robert say Courtney is the first to go. Neither James nor Jean-Robert are even attempting to be quiet. This convinces them that Jean-Robert and James need to go, the sooner the better. The big problem with this theory is that, without those two, they’d get killed in challenges, while it’s pretty obvious that neither Todd nor Courtney are considered assets in that respect, as both sit out every other time. Of course, Jean-Robert is digging his own grave in other respects, so getting rid of him would be much easier than getting rid of James would be.

Leslie returns the favor and gives Jaime the clue to the hidden immunity idol. This second clue at a second camp means there are at least two hidden immunity idols. Hopefully this sucks less worse than it sucked last year.

Tribes must choose 4 choppers and 2 puzzle builders at the immunity challenge. Denise and Leslie sit out for Fei Long. The choppers must cut through ropes and release discs. The discs must then be used to solve a puzzle. Zhan Hu gets off to an early lead. Courtney’s a disaster in every sense of the word, though it does lead me to wonder who’s responsible for picking her to do the physical part of this task. She can’t even get one done before the other tribe has all four. If she wasn’t the first boot choice before, she is now. Todd might want to reconsider his theory about which way to vote. With a strong performance by the other people, however, Fei Long does make some effort at catching up, even if it’s never as close as Probst makes it seem. Zhan Hu wins their first immunity.

To her credit, Courtney gives her all at the challenge, even if her all wasn’t very much.

To make matters worse, not only did Leslie volunteer a lot of information to the other tribe, but she foolishly also tells her own tribe way too much information about what she told the other tribe, giving them a rock solid excuse to eliminate her. The other option is Jean-Robert, but it’s not a particularly valid option.

Jean-Robert’s not shy about saying what he thinks about who’s weak on the tribe. Courtney gets upset because she thinks they want to stick her where she will do the least damage, which it’s hard to blame them for. Leslie again volunteers information without thinking, saying the other tribe has more heart. Wow, could this be any more obvious?

Votes:
Jean-Robert
Leslie
Jean-Robert
Leslie
Leslie
Leslie
Leslie

Leslie is the first person voted out of Fei Long. Despite being weak in challenges, she could have bought herself at least another week if she just kept her mouth shut. In addition to Leslie obviously voting for Jean-Robert, Courtney does as well. Not real clear what she hoped to gain by voting against the tribe.

Jericho Season 2 Next Month?

TV Week reports that there’s a slim chance Jericho may return next month, as its 7 episode season 2 has completed shooting. Sources suggest that, should Kid Nation, Cane, Moonlight, or Viva Laughlin not perform well, Jericho would be a suitable replacement for them.

Of these shows, Kid Nation would seem to be in the most danger, as it occupies Jericho’s former timeslot and has been struggling in the ratings, far below where Jericho was a year ago.

“The best thing going for ‘Jericho’ is it’s done and ready to go,” CBS head of programming Kelly Kahl says. “But it’s too early to tell what time period is going to be available.”

If these shows all manage to survive through next month, we can expect Jericho some time in January.

Furthermore, if CBS doesn’t renew the show beyond the second season, “There’s still going to be a lot more story to tell,” executive producer Carol Barbee says. “If the fans keep it up, we’ll tell it somewhere.”

Hulk Hogan to Host American Gladitors

Let’s party like it’s 1989. Hulk Hogan will be the host of NBC’s American Gladiators when it returns in midseason, reports Variety. Hulk Hogan is best known for his wrestling days during the 1980s back when the WWE was still the WWF (before all those people got confused and started sending save the whales checks to Vince McMahon), a fitting match for the show that got its start during the 80s.

Jane Seymour to Return to Dancing with the Stars

Following the death of her 92-year-old mother, Jane Seymour has decided to return to Dancing with the Stars, reports Starpulse. She was not present for the results show Tuesday because she flew back to England for the funeral, and she was not voted off. She originally signed up for the show as a tribute to her mother.

Show host Tom Beregron says, “We are happy to say that Jane has decided to remain in the competition as a tribute to her mother’s memory.”
