Hell’s Kitchen 3 Episode 4 Recap

Welcome to the Hell’s Kitchen 3 episode 4 recap!

Last week was an absolute disaster, neither the Red or Blue team managed to complete a full service as Chef Gordon Ramsay was forced to shut down the kitchen prematurely. Though it wasn’t all bad as the moronic Asian cowboy Aaron went for gold by passing out cold, falling ass-backwards into a cabinet and denting it nearly as much as his own head. After being rushed off to the hospital, Aaron received an extra special phone call from Chef Ramsay, letting him know that he would no longer be allowed back into Hell’s Kitchen! Finally!

Along with Aaron getting booted off the show for “medical reasons” (see also: overwhelming stupidity), Joanna was sent packing for her general suckage.

So now that we’re all refreshed on what happened last week, lets get down to business and see what this weeks Hell’s Kitchen 3 episode 4 has to offer.

  • The Blue and Red teams both return to their dorms to sulk over their crappy performances. Back in the dorm Vinnie starts ragging on Jen for pulling spaghetti from a garbage, and rightly so.
  • The contestants enter Hell’s Kitchen for a chat with Ramsay and he announces the challenge, a palette test! I love this challenge!
  • The Challenge: Each team member has to taste and correctly identify three kinds of food. Each correct ID earns the team a point.
  • Julie goes 2/3 for the Red team, while Brad goes 1/3 fo the Blue team.
  • Mellisa goes 1/3 for the Red team, Rock goes 2/3 for the Blue team.
  • Bonnie goes 2/3 for the Red team, Josh goes 0/3 for the Blue team.
  • Vinnie can’t nail the first item (Seared Tuna) and effectively loses the competition for the Blue team. The Red team wins!

  • The Reward: The Red team gets to spend an amazing dining experience with Chef Gordon Ramsay. He promises it will be an experience unlike any other.
  • The Punishment – Part 1: The Blue team has to spend all day prepping everything for their own kitchen, as well as the Red teams kitchen for service later that night.
  • The Punishment – Part 2: The Blue team is treated to a meal of Beef liver, tongue, pigs feet, tripe and kidney’s. Yummy!
  • The Blue team retires to the dorm and complains about how the challenge went down. Vinnie in particular picks on Bonnie for liein that she couldn’t hear through her headphones when she supposedly could. Alright, Vinnie’s a bit of a douche.
  • The girls of the Red team meet Chef Gordon Ramsay at a very interesting establishment where they will be treated to a fancy lunch, in the dark, like pitch black dark.
  • Back in Hell’s Kitchen, the boys dig into a nasty plate of pig and cow parts. Awww man, things start to look pretty harry for big man Rock. With each fork full of grossness he looks more and more like he’s going to puke. After burping and cringing a bunch, he excuses himself from the table and heads for the bathroom.
  • After their tasty dining experience, the boys jump into the kitchen and get rocking on the prep work for both kitchens.
  • The Service: Tonight’s service is a little different than usual, as every table has a comment card that will decide each teams fate for the night.
  • The Blue team is the first to get an appetizer to the hot plate, but its sent back for not being cooked properly.
  • The Red team runs into problems right out of the gate as well, as Julia messes up the scallops while Melissa ignores her and charges ahead with her risotto.
  • Vinnie overcooks 4 wellington and screws the Blue kitchen up even more by making them wait 15 mins for another batch.
  • On the Red side of things, Bonnie manages to screw her own team over by messing up a chicken dish.
  • Both the Red and Blue teams are on par with one another as each team seems to be screwing themselves over at the same time.
  • 2-Hours into service, the Red kitchen has served 14 entree’s, while the Blue team has only served 6.
  • One of the customers comes to the hot plate to complain. Chef Ramsay calls her a giraffe and tells her to piss off.
  • Things in the Blue kitchen are getting really rough as Vinnie continues to screw up wellington after wellington.
  • The Red kitchen isn’t any better as Melissa and Bonnie screw up their wellingtons as well.
  • Two dishes come back to the Blue kitchen and Ramsay threatens to shut things down if one more dish comes back to the hotplate. Sure enough another dish returns to the hotplate, a cold salty chicken dish put out by the Blue team, and Ramsay shuts down the kitchen.
  • In the Red kitchen, Bonnie starts to lose it. She breaks down in tears, feels Chef Ramsay hates her and she doesn’t think she’s good enough to be around.
  • The Results: The customers liked most of the food, but 65% of them won’t come back because as it took to long to get the food. Chef Ramsay tells both teams that neither team is a winner, so he picks both Rock and Jen to nominate one member from each team to be put on the chopping block.
  • Back in the dorm, Vinnie sees the writing on the wall and says his goodbyes to his teammates, while Bonnie on the Red team does the same and says her goodbyes.
  • The Nomination: Rock nominates Josh from the Red team. Jen nominates Melissa from the Blue team. Chef Ramsay tells both Rock and Jen to piss off, they’ve been overruled. Chef Gordon Ramsay picks Vinnie and Bonnie to be on the chopping block.
  • The Elimination: The contestant eliminated in episode 4 of Hell’s Kitchen 3 is… Vinnie!

What can I say about tonight’s elimination other than I am not surprised in the least. Vinnie has been an arrogant dink since day one who has intentionally butted heads with Chef Gordon Ramsay a number of times and he was 100% deserving of getting the boot tonight. To be honest, I’m surprised he didn’t get axed earlier.

Hell’s Kitchen 3 episode 5 will air on Fox television on July 2 at 9/8c. Stay tuned for a full episode 5 recap right here on dingoRUE.com!

  1. I am so glad Vinnie is gone. He annoyed me immensely.

The funny thing is the most consistent female is Julia from the Waffle House.

  2. Good Morning!

My comment is that you have the best reality show on television. I would never miss it for the world.

I live in Quebec City Canada and I am a hell’s fan of your emission. Yesterday the 7th, I was not at home but I registered the emission and when I leasten to it, I miss the part after all concurrents arrived to the restaurant. I think I don’t put enough time.

So, I’m on my knees to ask you to tell me who is the winner, Bonnie or Rock?

I love you all and particulary *THE CHEF* Ramsay.

    Je vous embrasse tous!

    Lise!
