During his endurance competition victory in Big Brother 10 Episode 19, Dan made one of the craziest deals in the history of the show, agreeing to nominate whoever Ollie wanted. Staying true to his word, Dan nominated his ally Memphis, alongside his nemesis Jerry.
Ollie believes his hands are clean. Dan believes the same thing. Neither is correct.
Dan tells Memphis that, despite having gone along with the plan thus far, he has no intention of living up to the agreement of letting Ollie pick the replacement nominee for a veto. Shouldn’t have offered that part of the deal then. That’s a target on his back just waiting to happen.
America’s vote is for a phone call from home. This leads to much tears. Jerry wins and gets to speak to his family, including his sick wife. As hated as Jerry is, I’m not surprised by this because it typically goes to the family person (except the time the dumb blonde was allowed to discuss whether Britney Spears had her baby).
Everybody feels threatened by Michelle, especially since Ollie’s made it so obvious they’re in an alliance now.
Dan picks Renny for veto.
Ollie picks Keesha.
Jerry picks Michelle (houseguest’s choice).
The players get in their spacesuits and land on planet veto. Michelle, Dan, and Keesha are in race 1. Memphis, Jerry, and Renny are in race 2. They must glide back and forth above the ground collecting puzzle pieces, then solve the puzzle, being careful of the extra puzzle pieces. Keesha wins race 1. Memphis is doing this how it should be done, getting across without even needing to use his hands on the cable, and he wins the second race. Keesha and Memphis go head to head with a new puzzle. Memphis wins this race and the power of veto.
Ollie’s giddy. He believes he’s safe and that Dan is willing to piss off his allies by nominating (another) one of them.
Ollie tells Dan he wants Keesha to go up. So now he’s revealed both his closest ally and his two biggest enemies. Keep a little something to yourself, dude.
Dan’s still hoping to remove some of the target he’s put on his back. He wants to play a game at veto, and he wants to get each person at the ceremony to say another person’s name for who they want as the replacement. He sets it up beforehand and hopes it will go through according to plan when they actually hold the ceremony. Michelle says Keesha. Ollie agrees to Renny after Dan badgers him. Keesha’s okay saying Michelle. Renny reluctantly agrees to say Ollie, but only after Dan tells her that Ollie will be saying her name.
As expected, Memphis will be removing himself from the block. Dan goes through with his plan, turning it back to the houseguests. He asks everybody what they think and gives them a warning to play by his rules or else. The houseguests all answer as they had previously. Pretty pointless, except that he did manage to drive a wedge between Renny and Ollie.
When all’s said and done, Dan goes against his deal and nominates Michelle in Memphis’ place. I’m not real sure what difference it makes whether Memphis or Keesha is up on the block since he’s still got the votes either way. Unless he really just doesn’t trust Memphis.
