Big Brother 11 Episode 16

Kevin won the power of veto in Big Brother 11 Episode 15, guaranteeing his own safety for the week but not using it to save his friend Lydia, who remains on the block against Russell.

The biggest question of the night is whether Jeff will use his coup d’etat power, and whether I will have to use the R word for the first time this season.

Jordan believes that Jessie and Natalie are trying to be BFF with her and Jeff. Scandalous.

Russell is still working to get Jessie on his side. It’s not working. The response I’m looking for here is “Duh.” Russell’s surprised that Jessie is mad at him for not picking him in veto. He made that move strategically, knowing that it would alienate Jessie from him. It’s hard to feel sorry for this guy who just simply doesn’t get the game.

So then Russell goes to Michele, the girl who he called a nutcase 4 or 5 days before. When Jessie jumps into the conversation, Russell starts swearing and yelling. How unusual.

Chima’s 99.9% sure Jeff has the mystery power, and she intends to create drama directed at him should he use his power to save Russell, a complete wild card who isn’t on anyone’s side but his own.

Having made it to the half way point, the remaining members of the house will either be in the final two or a member of the jury.

Chima does not regret what she’s said about her arch nemesis Russell because he started it.

Does the holder of the mystery power wish to use it? Jeff stands up. He would like to remove Lydia from the block. Natalie goes up in her place. He would also like to take Russell off the block. In his place goes Jessie. Predictable. He’s putting them up because they’ve run the house. They’ve run the house because they’ve outplayed him.

Neither Chima nor Jeff will be allowed to vote. That brings us down to 5 voters, which means that only 3 votes are needed instead of 4.

Interesting that Russell would try to keep Jessie around, and obviously Kevin’s continuing to do as he wants regardless of what his offbeat partner wants. By a vote of 3-2, Jessie has been evicted from the Big Brother house.

With that, now’s the time for my rant of the evening. I haven’t used the R word since a couple weeks before the season started when I called Big Brother All Stars rigged (and it was… HOH do over anyone?), but now’s the time to do so for this season. Love him or hate him (and most people hate him), Jessie played the game, and he played it well. So for him to be taken out by the producers handing a power this great to someone just because they want to keep the fan favorites in the game as long as possible isn’t quite sitting right with me. While this can be blamed on America because it was a public vote, the producers knew it would save the most popular person in the house, which was exactly the goal. If this were the result of a competition, even one that heavily favored one person, it’d be more excuseable, but not when someone becomes HOH for not doing anything at all. Adding insult to insult, Jessie was kicked off Big Brother 10 by America, too.

Rant over for now, back to the show. The HOH competition is based on previous competitions. Chima and Jeff will both be participating in it.

Kevin and Lydia go first. Kevin answers correctly to eliminate Lydia.

Kevin picks Jeff and Russell to go against each other. The interesting thing about this competition is that the players are likely to pick two people who they would like to see eliminated. Russell answers incorrectly and is eliminated.

Jeff picks Chima and Natalie to face off. Chima answers correctly to eliminate Natalie.

Chima picks Jeff and Jordan to go against each other. Jeff answers correctly to eliminate Jordan.

Jeff chooses Kevin and Chima to face off. Has anybody realized Michele is also in the game? Apparently not. Kevin is correct to eliminate Chima.

Michele and Jeff go next. Michele takes a while to answer, but it’s still fast enough to remain in the game. Jeff has been eliminated.

Michele stays up there to go against Kevin for the final round. Michele is correct and wins HOH.

This is quite interesting because Michele is really not on any side. The only remote shot at an alliance she’s formed is her girl power alliance. With Jessie out the door, that makes even more sense now, and it’s a perfect opportunity to target Russell because he hates her and Jeff, who just broke up the other couple, which should lead to a quick elimination of either himself or Jordan.

Natalie thanks everybody who voted for her to stay. Nobody voted for her to stay, though. They just voted to get rid of Jessie. Her staying was a consequence they were willing to live with.

BB 11 Spoilers

America’s Got Talent Season 4 Episode 16

12 more acts performed in America’s Got Talent Season 4 Episode 15, and tonight five more will join the top 20.

The Fab Five and the Beale Street Flippers are up first. I could see this going either way but would expect the moms to advance, and they do, as the Fab Five go through.

Voices of Glory, Carol Loo, and Eleisha Miller are next. No need to even wait for the answer. Voices of Glory are advancing.

The Texas Tenors and Pete Peterkin step forward next. Before last night, I would have gone with Pete, but his act last night failed to impress. The Texas Tenors advance.

SQ Entertainment, Alizma, and Paradizo Dance are next. We know Alizma’s gone, regardless of how hot and blonde they may be. SQ Entertainment was good, but the wild cards really don’t have much of a shot. Paradizo Dance moves to the semifinals.

Tony Hoard and Rory and Charles DeWayne (who appears to have dropped his last name) came in fifth and sixth. The judges will decide which of them will be the final act to join the top 20. Sharon needs some more time to make a decision. David votes for Rockin Rory. Piers votes for Charles DeWayne in order to avoid the biggest scandal in the history of the show. That may have forced Sharon’s hand, as she votes for Tony and Rory.

America’s Got Talent Season 4 Episode 15

Acrodunk, Drew Thomas Magic, Kevin Skinner, Grandma Lee, and Arcadian Broad advanced in America’s Got Talent Season 4 Episode 14, and tonight 12 more acts will have their shot.

Piers has a warning. He’s planning on buzzing more tonight.

The Fab Five is a sister tap dancing act. They’ve been holding cyber rehearsals, not bothering to practice together live very much. You’ve got a 1 in 40 chance at winning $1 million. Hire some babysitters and make a trip. Nonetheless, this act works. They dress as firefighters complete with poles and flames. Piers calls them fabulous.

Singer Charles DeWayne Dorsey, Jr. was influenced mostly by old school acts like Stevie Wonder. He sings and plays piano to Just the Two of Us by Bill Withers. Not sure this is the best song to show off his talent. Sharon would have loved to hear that song for a romantic dinner with her old man, but it wasn’t quite right for this show. Hoff agrees but like Sharon believes he will be returning. Piers is even more convinced now that Charles could be a major star.

Carol Loo is, well, why’s she here? She intends to throw together some more random steps and call it dancing. Seriously, what the hell is this? Piers buzzes when she starts disrobing and dancing to Push It. Hofftastic. As for Piers, he will desperately search for some positives. Doing this at her age of 63 is amazing, but that’s not a million dollar act.

Tony Hoard and his best bud Rockin Rory are up next. He’s already been to the dog spa since coming to Hollywood, surprised to find out that there are spas for dogs. They return to do their canine frisbee act with a lifeguard theme to get Hoff to try to remember his glory days. Piers buzzes. He doesn’t blame Rory. The throwing was terrible. Sharon thought the dancers were a distraction, but she will not say a bad word about Rory.

Eleisha Miller is another act that should not have gotten through, no matter how strong her personality is. Despite how talented she is for her age, there are stronger child acts. She sings and dances to some song. Piers buzzes. Sharon liked the dancing, but not so much the vocals. Hoff only comments on her energy and charisma. Piers wants her to fire her vocal teacher and perhaps dump singing altogether.

Paradizo Dance is the husband and wife group where she somehow lifts him. Tonight he shows off his strength, and she’s just plain fearless the way he throws her around. And they’ve shed the purple. Hasselhoff wishes he could vote because he’d vote for them. They’re raw talent that could sustain a show in Vegas. Piers didn’t buzz for a change after having buzzed the dog and the little girl. He thought that was incredible.

The Texas Tenors are the group that got together on a whim because it’s not like they have anything else to do. They sing Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA, a smart song choice. That was one of the cheesiest things Piers has ever seen, but he thought it was vocally stunning. Sharon’s mostly stuck looking at the hot blonde guy. Hoff warns them that, while that song could get them some votes, it’s not enough to get to the finals.

SQ Entertainment is a wild card act. They’re dancers who plan to add a lot of stunts for this performance. Talented group, but lack of previous screen time may hamper them. Sharon was entertained. Hoff thought the dancing was great but just couldn’t figure out the story. Piers didn’t think they should have come back, but he was wrong. They commanded the stage and were massively better than their audition.

Pete Peterkin is an impersonator, and for his audition he did President Obama and James Brown. Obama is returning tonight, and since Jamie Foxx impersonates Obama, he will return the favor, doing an impression of Obama doing Jamie Foxx doing Ray Charles. Hoff thought it was a good job. Piers felt the Obama material was dreadful. The Ray Charles was good, but he wasn’t sure what he was watching. Piers doesn’t look happy that Pete’s talking back, however jokingly he may be trying to make it.

Alizma, the blonde triplets who would be much more tolerable if they’d keep their mouths shut, sing A Natural Woman. Take Piers’ advice. This singing is not working for you. Sharon buzzes them. The boys can tolerate this and just tune out the horrible singing. Then one of them hits that high note, and that results in two more buzzers. Piers is now deaf. Sharon doesn’t like that they look like strippers. Hoff tells them to lay off the acid, which they take as a compliment.

The Beale Street Flippers are the second wild card act. With about two seconds left in the act, Piers buzzes. He just got a bit bored with that. Not varied enough to make it that interesting after the first 25 flips.

The final act for the night is The Voices of Glory, who have both the story and the talent that I’m assuming that they’re going to advance. Unlike last time, their song choice won’t win them any votes, as nobody will remember it for long. However, their voices still shine. Hoff thanks them for being on the show. Piers felt it was a bit shaky in parts, but they have a star in their midst, the little sister. Sharon agrees tonight was Nadia’s night.

Big Brother 11 Episode 15

In the likely to be completely pointless Big Brother 11 Episode 14, Chima nominated Russell and Lydia. Tonight’s episode actually matters, though, for just one reason. There are only three people guaranteed safety this week regardless of who’s nominated: the HOH winner, the person who was handed the coup d’etat by the producers, and the veto winner.

Lydia believes Russell is the real target, but she’s worried that Russell will be able to act nice enough to get off the hook. She wants to stir pot, telling him it must suck that he got nominated by his friends.

Big Brother tells Jeff to go to the diary room. Jessie thinks he’s got the power. Natalie doesn’t think he’s got it, and even if he does, he’s not stupid enough to use it.

Russell’s plan now is to get on the other team because he has no team any more. He was never ever going to go after Jeff and Jordan, not even when he was being a big baby about how bad Jeff’s spelling is. He also would like to try to mend fences with Michele, who doesn’t trust his big mouth. How’s he going to get her on his side? By calling her a liar.

This forces her to run upstairs to Natalie and Chima, who continues to push her girl power alliance, which will require the elimination of Russell and Jeff.

Having just gotten done telling Michele that Ronnie was completely wrong and should have never said what he did, Russell’s new opinion is that Ronnie was dead on about her. Also, she’s crazy and needs to be medicated.

Because there are nine people left in the house, that leaves three people unable to even have a chance at protecting themselves from the mystery power.

Chima chooses Natalie to play in veto.
Russell chooses Jeff as houseguest’s choice.
Lydia chooses Kevein as houseguests choice.

That leaves Michele, Jessie, and Jordan out in the cold, although Jordan has nothing to worry about. Jessie views Russell’s pick as the official end of the road for their alliance.

The houseguests get dressed up as chickens. Their job is to rescue the eggs by getting them up the fence, through the hole, and across the sizzling bacon. The first player to get 12 eggs will win the power of veto. This competition looks like it could go on and on and on. Kevin is the first to score a point. Natalie is the first to drop an egg. Russell and Jeff score. Lydia follows. Natalie just keeps breaking eggs and swearing at them. Kevin has taken the lead with two eggs. Russell and Kevin stay close. In the end and by mere seconds, Kevin wins the challenge.

Logically, Kevin will use this power to save his closest ally. He’s not so sure that’s a good idea. Will it create enemies?

Russell warns Jessie that voting him out will cost him the game. Might have been more convincing before he chose Jeff to play for him in POV. His suggestion: get Jeff nominated. Jessie has no intention of doing any such thing. Rather, he wants to use this information to make it clear that Jeff can’t trust Russell. He also tells Jordan the same thing, but she doesn’t trust him. While trusting Jessie is not a good idea, trusting Russell is an even worse idea.

If Jordan gets HOH next week, who should she put up next week? More than anything, Jeff would like to see Natalie on the block against Jessie. Heat of the moment comment, or overly predictable indication of things to come on Thursday?

While he’s pretending with the rest of the house (Michele notwithstanding), Russell continues to be a jerk to Chima, as if that will win him friends. Then we get a montage of the people Russell’s picked on. Chima won’t sit by idly or start crying. Instead, she’ll yell at the same annoying volume as he does.

Lydia is 100% convinced that Kevin won’t use the veto. Like Russell, nobody is looking out for her. If Kevin wanted Russell (and consequently the rest of the house) to know this information, he would have told them.

Kevin’s fear is that Chima will be angry if he uses the veto. She backs this up, saying she will no longer trust him.

Knowing it would take a miracle (and even that wouldn’t be enough) for Kevin to use the veto on him, Russell takes the opportunity to get in a jab at Kevin at the veto ceremony: Lydia’s his friend. Kevin has decided to use the veto on no one. He hopes this doesn’t put a strain on their relationship.

Aside from the coup d’etat holder, Russell’s the only person looking forward to it. His game’s pretty much over because he’s played it so poorly, but now someone who’s played the game well may be in danger instead.

Hell’s Kitchen Season 6 Episode 5

Lovely finally met the end of her rope in Hell’s Kitchen Season 6 Episode 4.

The challenge is to come up with an appetizer and two entrees to serve to the wife of a soldier who just got home from Iraq. Robert and Suzanne must learn the likes and dislikes of the staff sergeant and pass that information along to their teams. Robert has a collaborative style of leadership, while Suzanne dictates to her team (except she doesn’t dictate anything useful). With 5 minutes left, she asks her team how they feel about the menu. A little late for that.

Women: Caesar style salad with baked prawns
Men: Spicy seafood style bouillabaisse
Both are good, but the women get the point.

Women: Bacon wrapped filet with grilled shrimp
Men: Four cheese maccaroni, stewed collards, and buttermilk fried catfish
Both good again, but the men win this point hands down.

Women: Broiled lobster tail with pasta
Men: Bone in New York strip with mashed potatoes and grilled lobster tail (grilled was the key that they heard during their meeting, or at least Robert heard)
Again complimentary to both, but the men score the point and win the challenge.

The men will be fighter pilots for the day. For their punishment, the women will be redecorating the dining room ahead of the special event, the surprise return party.

The women never heard the words soul food, which Tennille could have done and offered to do.

Because they won the challenge, the blue team’s menu will be featured. That means they will need to teach the women how to cook the dishes. If they want to anyway.

Sabrina’s holding up her team. Ramsay’s waiting for her mushrooms, and when he gets the dish, it’s stone cold. As the women finally start to get their appetizers out, the men have already finished theirs.

It’s apparently steak night. Good luck keeping up, Jim. What does he need anyway? Kevin, tell him quick while the chef isn’t looking.

In the red kitchen, Sabrina and Tek have finally completed their appetizers. Then Tek moves to meat, which is blue. She blames the amount of people who are working on the station. After some more time, her steaks are well done. Really well done.

The men are concerned about Dave, the one handed man. He wants them to back off unless he gives them a reason to worry.

Tek is working on the first entrees. Still.

Dave thinks that Ramsay is picking on Jim, but it’s unwarranted. Jim blames Kevin’s mouth for this lack of credit he’s receiving.

The blue team has finished sending out their final entrees. As for the women? Still working on getting something out. Seeing Tek in a panic, Amanda delivers raw lobster in an effort to just deliver something.

Since it’s been an hour and a half with no entrees delivered, the men will have to bail out the women. This isn’t just a loss. It’s insulting.

Sabrina wants to target Tennille, who didn’t do anything wrong.

The first nominee is Tek, for obvious reasons. The second nominee is Tennille. The reason Tennille gives: it’s a load of some word that’s bleeped out. If it were up to Tennille, Amanda would be the other nominee. Ramsay is okay with letting Amanda be the third nominee.

Tennille can get back in line. Although Ramsay doesn’t see anything left in Amanda, Tek is leaving Hell’s Kitchen.

Big Brother 11 Episode 14

After Ronnie’s eviction in Big Brother 11 Episode 13, Chima won HOH. Perhaps more importantly, in a competition better known as popularity contest with the producers playing favorites, Jeff won the coup d’etat, a power that may make tonight’s episode completely and totally pointless.

Lydia has realized that Jessie may have voted against her, meaning that her hitting on him didn’t get her where she wanted it to get her.

Russell’s not happy that Chima, Jessie, and Natalie did not do as they were told. And he’s even less happy that Chima has won HOH. If he doesn’t get nominated, it will take a miracle. As for Lydia, she’s ready to get nominated again.

Jeff is confident that he will use the power, just because he has it, even if two people he doesn’t like are on the block. The others are right: don’t make additional enemies if you don’t need to.

Natalie and Jessie want Russell to stay because he’s on their side. Is he, though?

Russell tells Chima she shouldn’t nominate an ally… like he did last week.

Listening to Jordan thinking can be painful, as we’re learning as time goes by, but it’s amusing. Chima, however, takes us in a completely different direction with a sad story. She was attacked by a serial killer, but she tries to put a positive spin on it about how she fought and survived. She hopes to use this story to empower women, and perhaps this is part of why she wants a woman to win, even if it’s to the detriment of her own game.

The doorbell rings. So who’s this guy anyway? It’s Jeremy Piven. I’ll take Jeff’s word for it that he is a celebrity. He’s there for a luxury competition. The winning team will get to see a screening of his new movie, The Goods. Really? The real prize is that one member of the winning team will get cash. These used car salespersons will need to sell the most used cars. Jeff, Kevin, Lydia, and Michele are the ties team; Jordan, Russell, Jessie, and Natalie are the shirts team. Each prop is worth a certain number of points. The team that packs the most points into their car wins. To raise the stakes, one member of the winning team will have a chance at a big payday, while the losing team will become the have nots for the week. Chima bets on the shirt team. If they win, she wins. Russell says you have to be strategic. Kevin doesn’t care… he’s just grabbing whatever he can get his hands on. Jessie is grabbing the items that the other team leaves lying around. The tie team has sold 399 cars. The shirt team has sold 410 cars, giving Jordan, Russell, Jessie, and Natalie the win. Jordan takes credit for the win because she was trying to stuff the teddy bear that made the difference into the car the whole time. Russell gets the highest check, so he wins $10,000. Having bet on the right team, Chima joins in the victory.

Lydia does not hold any ill will against Jessie for voting against her, but she’ll need to think twice about trying to get near him as long as Natalie’s in the house. When Lydia puts her on the block, it’s his fault. At the end of the day, if they’re really friends, she should have their backs. Just like they had her back last week? Seeing the tension, Chima wouldn’t mind seeing Lydia go home.

Now it’s time for another stupid vote: jalapeno peppers and pepperoni, squeeze cheese and kimchi, or sweet pickles and anchovies. The sad thing is they actually pay people to come up with this stuff.

Lydia and Russell have been nominated for eviction. Russell was obvious after last week. Lydia has been nominated in order to avoid her voting to keep him around. Russell is going to try to win people over with kindness. That would be new. Jessie’s worried about the unicorn coming and telling him he’s gone. Wait for it. Through no fault of his own, having played a good game thus far, he could very well be walking out the door on Thursday thanks to the power of favoritism.

BB 11 Spoilers

Survivor: Marquesas Episode 3

Hunter and Gina were very vocal in their complaints about the other members of the tribe not doing enough, but what they failed to do was get the numbers on their side, so Patricia was voted out in Survivor: Marquesas Episode 2.

Gina pretends that what Sarah said at tribal council caused her to vote for her. Yeah, so I guess it caused both Hunter and Patricia to vote the same way and there was no voting block?

Over on Rotu, they’ve had a rainy night, so their plan for the day is to improve the shelter.

Kathy is getting along better with her tribe than she had been before. She’ll just go with the flow and be a bit more low key than she had been.

Paschal has earned the nickname Pappy from Gabe, while Neleh has been called Sweet Pea just in general. Both of them have bonded and will end up as the Elisabeth and Rodger of the season.

While out snorkeling, John lands on top of a sea urchin and gets a bunch of needles in his hand. He needs somebody to pee on his hand. Paschal has a little performance anxiety, so Kathy drops her drawers.

Maraamu, after their tribal council last night, is trying to rebond with a morning show. Whatever they say about the rain having washed away the bad, it’s still a tribe divided.

For their next challenge, they will have to construct a raft strong enough to carry all of them and some supplies they will pick up along the way. Jeff brings them some bamboo and rope, and they can use whatever else they can find. As they’re unloading the wood, Robert’s foot gets sliced up. It’s a good thing John is a registered nurse and that Robert has 9 more toes on him. Gabriel comes up with the boat design for his team, and he and Robert put that plan into action, with Robert having no intention of quitting just because he’s injured. On the other side, both Hunter and Rob both want to take control of the project. They opt for Hunter’s plan for building a bulky boat, not worrying about whether they have to end up carrying it eventually or not. Rob allows Hunter to get his way because although he’d like to be the big man, he’d rather see someone else keep running his mouth until it sinks him.

John’s finger has been opened up again. He got bit by an eel. His biggest concern: will how much he can contribute to the tribe decrease?

Hunter’s tired of the complaining coming from his tribe. He won’t say anything, but he doesn’t like these people. Good luck getting to the end if you feel that way.

The tribes arrive at the reward challenge on their rafts. The challenge is a race to grab 5 containers anchored to the bottom of the ocean floor, then go back to where they started. Reward is a choice between comfort (blankets, pillows, and three lanterns with fuel) or sustenance (rice). Neleh and Paschal sit out for Rotu. Both tribes are fairly even on their first box, although Maraamu’s boat looks like it may lack seaworthiness. They continue forward and are the first to arrive at box 4, though. It’s dead even when they get to box 5, so it’ll be a matter of who can paddle faster. In a close race, Rotu wins reward. Again. They choose comfort.

The other tribe certainly isn’t bigger, stronger, or faster. Their problem is that they’re not a real team. Hunter blames it on the lack of work ethics from the others. This broken record is as much a part of the problem as anything his teammates may or may not be bringing to the table. Obviously, nobody is responding to his criticism, but he just keeps pushing anyway.

The immunity challenge is a coconut maze race. First tribe to get all three coconuts through the maze wins. They will have one person on each corner and a caller telling them what to do. The game only requires 5. Tammy, John, and Robert sit out for Rotu. Gina sits out for Maraamu. Maraamu is the first to score a point. Rotu ties it at 1. Maraamu retakes the lead 2-1. Rotu’s quite a bit more behind, but it is tied at 2. Somehow, Rotu erases the lead and wins immunity with Maraamu hovering over the hole but unable to make it in. This marks 5 challenges in a row.

Hunter wants to go after Sean, but he’ll need to get some more votes, so he goes to Rob.

Rob’s just playing the game. He doesn’t care how strong his team is, just as long as they obey. Fear keeps people loyal. If they have something to lose, they’ll do what you say. That’s straight out of The Godfather. It’s true.

By a vote of 4-2, Hunter has been voted off the island. The tribe is apparently hoping that being talked down to less will help them more than his physical strength and contributions at camp.

Survivor: Marquesas Episode 2

Peter sunk himself by being weird in Survivor: Marquesas Episode 1.

Rotu is getting close. Well, except for Kathy, who sleeps by herself near the fire.

Robert is struggling and has been pretty sick due to lack of food. He is the second Rob to come up with the plan to catch a pig or chicken. John has created a pig snare, which he believes will get him to the final four if it works.

Maraamu starts off every day with a morning show, a little break from the reality of the situation.

Patricia has changed since the last tribal council, and she’s turned into a workaholic contributing to camp. She may be able to buy herself a little while longer. However, as time goes by, her helpfulness starts to get on everybody’s nerves. They’re tired of listening to her talk.

John has also created a shrimp trap, and this works pretty quickly. He’s thrilled with himself, which is why he soon gets upset with Kathy. She’s been off on her own for a while, and she’s managed to dig up some shells. Perhaps not the most appealing food, but at least it’s protein. No pats on the back for her, though.

Sean has decided that the others on his tribe are going to be racially motivated in this game. Not that they’ve given him any reason to believe so. Their actual problem with him is his laziness.

Rob and Sarah are attached at the hip, which Hunter views as a problem. They’d get more out of Rob if they got rid of her. Rob realizes he’s got an extra vote, but he also has to be on the look out for her because she’s not really doing much.

Kathy has found some more goodies. In order for them to get that food, they have to listen to her first. Gabe complains. He’s not interested in food, shelter, or water. He wants to get to know people first. Nonetheless, he agrees to finally build a functional shelter.

The reward challenge is to remove rocks from boats underwater and bring them up to sail them to shore. Reward is masks, snorkel, and fins. Robert sits out for Rotu. Most people are getting one or two rocks at a time, if that. Gabe gets 19 rocks at once, potentially a huge boost for Rotu. They are, indeed, the first tribe to be able to flip over their boat. Led by Hunter and Boston Rob, Maraamu is not far behind. Rotu hops in their boat first as Maraamu bails water for perhaps too long. Having led the whole way, Rotu wins reward.

Vecepia, Patricia, and Sarah have been working on palm fronds to finish their roof and protect them from the rain. Sarah’s been saying for two days they need to get this finished. Now that Hunter says it, people finally start to listen. Gina says this is her fault because if she wanted it done, she should have done it herself.

Gross food challenge time. A Marquesan delicacy, fafaru, has been set out for them. It’s made by putting parts of various sea creatures in water for three days and letting it rot. Then the marinade is put on slices of fish and put in the hot sun for a couple hours. Shouldn’t a delicacy be something tough to come by? Zoe and Hunter are fine. Neleh and Patricia are also good, with Neleh barely keeping it down. Paschal and Sarah are next and do fine. Vecepia and Kathy go next and also are good. Sean and Robert both struggle their way through it. Gina and Tammy are okay. John makes it through with difficulty, but not as much difficulty as Boston Rob, who just finishes before Probst stops counting to 5. Hunter is once again fine, and so is Gabe. Since it’s a tie, they will select two people to break the tie. Rotu picks Boston Rob. Maraamu selects Neleh. With Rob having the most difficulty, Neleh wins immunity for Rotu.

Sean wants to target Sarah because he feels it’s either him or her. Rob, however, thinks they shot themselves in the foot last time by not getting rid of Patricia.

Sarah doesn’t want to expend too much energy at camp because it will weaken her for the challenges. Gina, however, doesn’t like that someone isn’t working hard enough at camp so she will be weaker at challenges because she has to pick up the slack.

Missing the concept that this is a social game, Hunter’s and Gina’s focus on all work and no play has them backing the wrong horse. By a vote of 4-3, Patricia has been voted off the island.
