Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains Episode 12

With Candice switching sides in Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains Episode 11, Amanda was eliminated. Tonight there will be two immunity challenges, two tribal councils, and two more Survivors will meet their fate.

Jerri has decided that someone who would flip that easily is untrustworthy, and, therefore, useless to them now.

Rupert says the Heroes are now on a sinking ship. As if they weren’t on one before. This isn’t Candice’s fault. It’s the fault of everybody who was stupid enough to give Russell the hidden immunity idol.

Rupert and Colby aren’t talking to Russell. What game do they think they’re playing anyway?

We head off to the first immunity challenge, a familiar test of endurance. They will stand barefoot on a small wooden perch with their hand tethered to a bucket. Rupert previously competed in this challenge, lasting over an hour. At over 6 hours, Parvati won this challenge. The one new addition is the perch, which should cause feet pain to go along with that arm strain. A twist will be revealed at the end of the challenge. First temptation is offered at 1 minute. Sandra and Russell both want it without seeing it. They’ll be sharing cookies and milk. After 20 minutes, the next items up for grabs are donuts and an iced coffee. Not much in the way of protein in that snack, but it’ll taste good. Colby, who’s as in danger as anyone left standing, will take it. At 35 minutes, the next item is peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches, chips, a bowl of candy, and milk. Now that’s an interesting offer. Danielle, Candice, and Jerri will be sharing it. Wanting someone to outlast Rupert, they’re leaving it all in Parvati’s hands. Rupert stumbles after 1 hour and 10 minutes. Parvati wins immunity.

Rupert says he’s going home tonight and is done.

Jeff reads the hidden immunity idol clue out loud for all to hear. When they get to camp, everybody starts scrambling for the idol. Sandra finds it.

Rupert sticks a rock in his pocket, hoping people will believe he’s got the idol, or at least is just happy to see them. Russell falls for this immediately and wants to split the votes.

Parvati proposes splitting the votes, three for Colby and three for Rupert. Jerri would rather get rid of Candice. Knowing that Candice may get some votes, Colby and Rupert plan to join in on the anti-Candice vote.

Colby and Rupert take the opportunity at tribal council to whine some more about Candice flipping sides. Her defense is that she wasn’t going to down on a sinking ship, and her vote was not the final nail in the coffin of the eye rolling Amanda. A fair defense.

No hidden immunity idols or rocks are played.

With 5 votes, Candice has accidentally been voted off the island. Poor move by the Villains listening to Jerri about sending votes Candice’s way, but quite the interesting play by Colby and Rupert, who may not be as dumb as they have appeared thus far (okay, they probably are).

Russell calls this a terrible decision, and he blames the girls. What he does finally realize is that he’s no longer in control of the game, or at least he says he’s only half in control with Parvati.

Now it’s time for another immunity challenge. Each person will dig up a peg and get it through a table maze. The first 5 move to the next round, where they will use pegs to get to the top of a climbing wall. The first 3 will go to the final round, where they must solve a slide puzzle. Rupert, Sandra, Russell, Parvati, and Danielle advance to the second round. Russell, Rupert, and Parvati will compete in the final round. I’m not so sure any of them are any good at puzzles. Russell wins immunity.

Russell doesn’t like that Parvati and Danielle are a team, so he’d like to break up that couple. He tells Danielle that he wants to get rid of Parvati, and he tells Parvati that Danielle wants to get rid of her. He assumes they’re not going to talk to each other. Once he finds out that Parvati wants to talk to Danielle, he warns her that her game’s going to be over if she does that.

Seeing the girls talking, Russell has decided he wants to get rid of Danielle tonight. Colby and Rupert will be easy to get onboard. Then he tells Jerri that, if they don’t get rid of Danielle, she’s next.

The others are all still talking Rupert. With Russell wearing the immunity necklace, they can’t flush out the snake.

Danielle’s explanation to Jeff for the events of the day: just a miscommunication. After the truth comes out and Danielle says she’s in a three-way alliance since the beginning with Parvati and Russell, Danielle starts crying. And by the way, she’s closer to Parvati than Russell thinks. Holy excessive honesty.

Wow. By a vote of 4-3, Danielle has been voted off the island. Russell I’m not surprised by because these random senseless acts are his trademark, but I’m totally confused what the heck Jerri’s plan is here. Granted, this is the same person who flipped to take out the strongest members of her tribe, thereby sinking their dominance.
