The Amazing Race Asia 3 Episode 8
Ida & Tania once again arrived in last in The Amazing Race 3 Episode 7, to be greeted by another non-elimination leg.
Teams depart in the order in which they arrived.
First: Geoff & Tisha – 4:04AM
Second: Vince & Sam – 4:14AM
Third: AD & Fuzzie – 5:40AM
Fourth: Henry & Bernie – 6:04AM
Fifth: Ida & Tania – 8:13AM
The first stop of this leg is the ruins of St. Paul, which is now a World Heritage site. From there, they will head back to Macau Tower, where they hit an 8AM hours of operation, which bunches up the first four teams. They know they’re up for something extreme at the Macau Tower. Ida & Tania appear to be about an hour behind still, and they’ll get a penalty if they’re not first at the end of the leg.
The road block is to bungee jump off the tower at 320m. Bernie very reluctantly agrees since Henry doesn’t want to do it either. Tisha knew before they even got there that it would be an extreme stunt but volunteers anyway.
Road block: Tisha, Sam, AD, Bernie, Tania
As the first team to complete the challenge (apparently reading the clue 10 seconds before anybody else counts for something), Geoff & Tisha get a helicopter to Hong Kong. The other teams will travel there by ferry.
Helicopter: Geoff & Tisha
First ferry (9:30): Vince & Sam, AD & Fuzzie, Henry & Bernie
Second ferry (10:15): Ida & Tania
When they arrive in Hong Kong, they search through boxes to find letters from home (a seemingly simple task, though you wouldn’t know it based on Henry & Bernie’s arguing), and once they’re done reading, they’re told to go to Cochin, India. An airport is the break Ida & Tania needed, but they still have to hope for another team to stumble.
First flight (late morning via Singapore): Geoff & Tisha
Second flight (via Mumbai): Ida & Tania, AD & Fuzzie
Third flight (via Singapore connecting in Mumbai): Vince & Sam, Henry & Bernie
Henry & Bernie and Vince & Sam miss their connecting flight but are still able to get another flight from Mumbai to Cochin at the domestic terminal. This is enough of a delay to put them behind the others, though, particularly as they had a lengthy and poorly planned initial flight path to begin with.
Upon arriving in India, teams will receive a good luck blessing. Too bad the priest won’t be there until 6AM. Geoff & Tisha particularly get hit here, having arrived around 10:30, but Ida & Tania and AD & Fuzzie only have about 2 hours to kill.
The next stop is the elephant washing grounds in Kumbalam, where they must wash an elephant using the traditional method (apparently there’s more than one way to wash an elephant). Geoff & Tisha are back in the lead, as the others are waiting for their cabs. That lead is short lived, though, as Ida & Tania somehow take the lead, apparently through a better driver.
The detour is a choice between fish or fill. In fish, teams must deliver six fish each weighing 20kg. In fill, teams must complete a geometric design using colored rice. Physical task versus mental task, typically the physical is better.
Fill: Ida & Tania, AD & Fuzzie, Henry & Bernie
Fish: Geoff & Tisha, Vince & Sam
The pit stop for this leg of the race is the Bolgatty Palace, one of the oldest Dutch palaces outside of Holland.
First: Geoff & Tisha (win a trip to Hong Kong, tickets to a tennis tournament final, and $1,000 to spend)
Second: AD & Fuzzie
Third: Ida & Tania (finished second before the penalty)
Fourth: Vince & Sam
Eliminated: Henry & Bernie
Henry & Bernie ran a pretty good race, but following Vince & Sam on a bad flight was ultimately their undoing (taking the mental task over the physical task didn’t help them any). Ida & Tania recovered quite nicely following a couple legs way at the back of the pack and showed some strength this time around.

ABC to Revive King of the Hill?
A few days ago Fox announced they would not renew King of the Hill for its 14th season. ABC may be looking to pick up where Fox left off, putting King of the Hill alongside Mike Judge’s new animated series The Goode Family to create an animated comedy hour.
DeAnna and Jesse Break Up
As desperate as they seemed to get married just for the sake of getting married following The Bachelorette 4, I was expecting this one to stick until their rushed wedding was over. In an interview with Extra, Jesse Csincsak revealed that DeAnna Pappas broke up with him.
He told the show, “We took time apart… She came back to Colorado and told me, ‘I love you, but I’m not in love with you.’ …I picked her up from the airport and she told me while I was getting her bags.”
“I love that woman. She is an amazing person. I am willing to work through it. I love her… I love the way she made me feel. She made me feel like no other,” he continued. “DeAnna said, ‘I’m not willing to try anymore.’ She had a different idea. I can’t argue with her feelings… She’s the only one who knows how she feels.”
He wonders if the relationship was just an attempt to get publicity. “The only time she was touchy feely with me was around the cameras.”
Still, he wishes he had a second chance like runner up Jason Mesnick. “I really envy Jason’s position right now… It’s an amazing show… You could go and fall in love. I would love the opportunity to fall in love again.”
Prison Break Season 4 Episode 9
Michael made a deal with the devil in Prison Break Season 4 Episode 8, agreeing to bring T-Bag and Gretchen in with him. Roland, meanwhile, sold them out in a failed attempt to make some quick cash.
Lincoln is trying to force Wyatt into pretending he killed them, but Wyatt doesn’t break. They’ll more likely knock him unconscious than get him to talk.
The general believes that Scylla needs to be moved to a location they don’t know about, since that’s the most secure location. He wants to make sure that they can’t walk down the streets of LA without people noticing them. Because that worked so well for the Fox River boys.
Self has a new idea. He sends Sara in to be good cop and talk to Wyatt. Wyatt’s not afraid of death, though. While they stay behind and try to get something out of Wyatt, the rest of them have a partially formed plan how to proceed, which stops halfway until they get the rest of the pages from Gretchen.
T-Bag’s boss plans to look into the so-called resignation he received. Gretchen tells him not to worry because they’ll never find the body.
Mahone’s not quite as patient as Sara and Self are. He wants revenge right away. Self promises him that when the time is right he won’t stand in his way.
Heading through the tunnel, they hear a noise that they don’t know what it is. What they do know is that they’re probably right underneath the company’s headquarters. So the logical course of action is to proceed toward that unknown noise and right at the enemy. It turns out the noise they heard is a conduit pipe to the LA water supply, which means 30,000 gallons of water are rushing through there every second. They want to dig, but the cement just leads to granite. There’s no way under or over the pipe, but perhaps they can go through it.
Wyatt’s done just enough talking for Self to be able to scramble the words into exactly what they need. Now that that’s over with, Mahone gets some one-on-one time with Wyatt.
Just as the general believes everything’s all done, Gretchen shows up ready for target practice. The general dismisses everybody else from his office, and he’s unconcerned about Gretchen or the weapon she’s brandishing.
Michael tells them about the manual override to shut down the water. He figures the city will respond in about an hour, giving them 60 minutes to do 90 minutes of work. As he’s getting ready to start, Michael collapses.
The general keeps on talking until he gets Gretchen to hand over her gun, then he tells her she’s his girl, and then kisses her, whatever that’s about.
Mahone doesn’t want his time with Wyatt to go by quickly. He’s sadistic enough to know just the right way to torture people, and he’ll use this knowledge to his advantage.
Scofield’s on the sidelines for the time being, but Sucre’s got his back. Michael instructs him on how to take his place and continue the work of getting through to the other side.
Mahone has just one favor to ask of Wyatt, after which he will stop torturing him. He gets him to call his wife and apologize. Once that’s done, he puts a cement block on his arms, takes him to the water, and gives him a shove.
T-Bag decides to turn Andrew Blauner’s (his now dead co-worker) own plot against him. He gets his own sales records and pretends they’re Andrew’s, point out all the irregularities, and suggests he must have been money laundering. He tells his boss that they don’t want any investigations since it will mean IRS backlash, so he tells him to tell the detective investigating the matter a story about irregularities in his expenses to explain his disappearance.
Two of the guys have to grab the beam so that they can guide it through the conduit. Bellick and Lincoln are the lucky two volunteers. When the water starts rushing back and they think all is lost, Bellick isn’t ready to just give up. Brad hops down and grabs the broken beam, lifting it up. The only way for him to do this is to trap himself inside in the process. He’s okay with this, and just as the beam is secured in place, he sees the water come rushing at him.
The general is informed that Scylla can be moved right away, and he likes the idea because, despite the fact that he thinks Scofield and Burrows are dead, he doesn’t like that they came as close as they did.

The Amazing Race 13 Episode 6
Aja & Ty managed to get out of their funk and put on happy faces in The Amazing Race 13 Episode 5, but it wasn’t enough to prevent their elimination in one of the more predictable episodes of the season.
Teams depart in the order in which they arrived, except for Terence & Sarah who received a half hour penalty for speeding.
First: Nick & Starr – 11:22PM
Second: Toni & Dallas – 11:34PM
Third: Ken & Tina – 11:53PM
Fourth: Kelly & Christy – 11:59PM
Fifth: Terence & Sarah – 12:05AM
Sixth: Andrew & Dan – 12:29AM
Dallas wants to hook up with Starr, but he’s not catching any breaks with his mom and Starr’s brother around all the time. Ken & Tina say they’re still struggling with each other. Kelly & Christy think they’re quick learners. I’m going to have to take them by their word.
Teams will be flying to Delhi, India. Historically, the India leg has been a difficult one for some teams. With all teams leaving around midnight, the airport will serve to bunch them all together.
Nick tries to give Kelly & Christy some advice to cover up a little. We’ve seen in the past where female teams get grabbed on trains, but the girls aren’t particularly concerned. Andrew & Dan say Cambodia was like child’s play by comparison. Most teams don’t seem to have found cab drivers who know where they’re going, and arriving in rush hour probably hasn’t helped any.
The road block for this leg of the race is to paint autorickshaws green to signal they run on natural gas. Backseat painters Terence and Tina aren’t helping their partners any. The other teams get how to be helpful without smothering their partners, rather than being critical and getting in the way.
Road block (in order of arrival): Starr, Andrew, Toni, Kelly, Sarah, Ken
The next stop is the Ambassador Hotel, which means another trip back through the crowded streets of New Delhi. Ken & Tina were the only ones who had their cab driver wait for them, although he did get them really lost last time. Everybody else needs to figure out where to get another cab. I’m not surprised that Ken & Tina have gotten lost again and are again in last place.
The detour is a choice between launder money or launder clothes. In launder money, teams create a wedding necklace out of 10 individual notes that add up to exactly 780 rupees. Teams will need to exchange their own cash for the right combination of bills. In launder clothes, teams will use a charcoal heated iron to press 20 pieces of clothing. The irons are very hot and present some trouble, but Nick & Starr were smart enough to bring their gloves (didn’t anyone else plan for a cold climate?).
Launder clothes: Nick & Starr, Toni & Dallas, Andrew & Dan, Kelly & Christy
Launder money: Terence & Sarah, Ken & Tina
The pit stop for this leg of the race is Baha’i House, the national headquarters for the Baha’i faith.
First: Nick & Starr (win electric cars)
Second: Kelly & Christy
Third: Toni & Dallas
Fourth: Terence & Sarah
Fifth: Andrew & Dan
Non-eliminated: Ken & Tina
Andrew & Dan gave them plenty of opportunities with their horrible ironing skills (what do you expect from frat boys?), but Ken & Tina’s combination of not working together well and having horrible luck with cabs did them in. The good news for Ken & Tina is that this was a non-elimination leg, though they will encounter a speed bump next week.
