Heroes Season 3 Episode 1

Heroes season 2 volume 2 concluded way back in December at the start of the writers strike, as we last left off in Heroes Season 2 Episode 11. Sylar died (only not really), Maya was seeking the assistance of Dr. Suresh, and when all was said and done, Nathan was getting shot as he tried to reveal his secret during a press conference.

Heroes Volume Three “Villains” picks up 4 years in the future. Peter Petrelli runs into the new Claire, an evil Claire. He wants to go back to the day people found out what they are, which forced them to hide. She tries to shoot him, but with time freezing and all, that doesn’t quite work.

From there, Peter goes back in time and shoots his brother to prevent him from spilling their secret. After a rush to the hospital, Nathan turns out to be dead. Or so it appears to the casual observer anyway.

Hiro owns 51% of the company with $250 million in cash. He’s less impressed about it than Ando, though. He mostly wants to know his destiny and pass by his boredom playing with time. He receives a DVD that his dad recorded and hopes it’ll show him the way.

Sylar pays Claire a visit. He didn’t exactly what you would call die. Doesn’t anybody stay dead any more? He wants to steal her power (again).

Maya’s staying with Suresh and hopes he will help her, but he tells her he’s going to pack up his bags and head back to India and that he can’t help her. When she gets angry with this, he realizes that her abilities are caused by her emotions. With that, he’s not so ready to head back home just yet.

Hiro’s dad tells him he’s leaving him with a secret that has been kept by himself and his father before him. This secret has the potential to destroy the world in the wrong hands. First he has to find out how to break open the safe where the secret has been stored. When he opens the safe, he finds… another DVD. He learns he must guard his half of the formula with his life. As soon as he opens the envelope, though, the piece of paper (which he doesn’t understand even a little) is stolen from him. When he freezes time, he’s able to see who did it. She’s a speedster, and she’s not exactly impacted by his whole time freezing bit. After a brief discussion, she punches him and speeds away.

Parkman catches future Peter trying to recover the gun. That whole mind reading thing won’t work on him since he’s too powerful, but he tells the truth anyway, so it’s not necessary. He’s from the future. Then he waves his hand to get rid of Parkman.

The less than dead Nathan walks out of the hospital to thank God for giving him another chance. He says his reason for being is that he’s there to do his bidding. He no longer has a message to deliver, except to say that God’s message is that we’re all connected. Save ourselves; save the world. So Peter doesn’t have to kill him again.

After a game of cat and mouse, Claire finally stabs Sylar, but that doesn’t do much to him. He starts opening her head because he has some plans to get into her brain. She wonders why he’s not going to kill her, and he responds that she can never die (and now he can’t either).

Mohinder’s discovered a way to give people power. Maya tells him the power is a curse and that he should destroy what he’s discovered.

Governor Malden believes he’s found his guy: Nathan. Tracy Strauss, his less than fully clothed associate, approves.

Parkman wakes up in the middle of the desert with a scorpion crawling on his face. His first instinct is to yell for help, as if there’s anyone within miles.

Hiro’s never going back to the past again, but he has no problem going back to the future to see whether the world has been destroyed or not. The collapsing skyscrapers and villain Ando killing him are a pretty good indication his father was right.

Peter’s mom asks what he’s done with Peter. She had a dream that he’d be back to shoot his brother, so she knows what happened, and she doesn’t approve. She doesn’t like that something different happens now that he’s changed the future.

Mohinder injects himself with his magic serum, and now he’s got power.

Tonight was a special two hour event. If you want to know what happens in the second hour, check out Heroes Season 3 Episode 2.

TRL Cancelled

MTV has decided to cancel TRL, Variety reports. Total Request Live originally premiered September 14, 1998 with host Carson Daly.

Since Daly left the show in 2003, its popularity has declined. Last year, it was decreased from five shows per week to four, as its viewership average dropped below 400,000.

The final episode of TRL will air on a Saturday afternoon in November.

Never fear. Although TRL was one of the few shows on MTV that actually showed… music… Feedback New MTV (FNMTV), also a music video themed show, will be returning as TRL goes off the air.

Prison Break Season 4 Episode 4

After finding out that Scylla was actually six cards instead of just one, Scofield brought his newfound information and accompanying anger to confront Agent Self in Prison Break season 4 episode 3. Self agreed to give him one day to figure out how to keep the project going but later took that deal back and began to capture all of Scofield’s buddies. With some luck, though, the meeting they were trying to get to all day turned out to be a meeting between all six cardholders, allowing them to figure out exactly who they’re after.

Michael and Sara are discussing sailing off into the sunset. One day. Probably a couple seasons from now. Assuming neither of them dies (again).

The next destination is the Turkish Embassy. They figure out who the cardholder is but have to take off in a hurry so they’re not seen.

T-Bag is now taking on his new role as Cole Pfeiffer, preparing for his big meeting.

Don Self calls Sara to break the bad news. Bruce Bennett was found dead in his apartment.

While they’re scouting their target and realizing they won’t be getting near her any time soon due to her privately contracted security, Lincoln spots the new T-Bag, and they’re off running. They realize they need him, but he’s not particularly interested in cooperating since they left him for dead (three times). Because there are some cops in the vicinity, T-Bag manages to escape largely unharmed.

The company now finds out that someone’s looking into Scylla. They’re a few steps behind here.

Sara blames herself for Bruce’s death. Just more fuel for the fire.

The second cardholder appears to be going to a fundraiser. The bad news is that the fundraiser is one for fallen policemen, which means that she’ll be surrounded by about half the cops in LA.

T-Bag’s got himself a new job with a corner office, despite the fact that nobody there has ever met or seen him before.

Sara’s been sober for three years. Or at least she had been.

Now it’s time for a bit off breaking and entering. First they disable the security camera. Then they break in and get what they came for. Cop uniforms complete with badges. They should blend right in.

Since they’re in a roomful of cops and the most famous ex-cons in the country, it’s not long before Lincoln is recognized. He’s followed outside and stopped at gunpoint. Turns out it’s a company man, one who needs to die. Lincoln kills him with Bellick’s assistance, and Michael tells him to go ahead and let them find him. The second cardholder is trying to make a break for it, and they don’t have the card copied yet.

Gretchen’s not talking, and Wyatt’s not getting any happier, especially considering he wants to kill her.

While Sara was sharing her sob story at a bar, the drunk guy trying to hit on her used a card belonging to Bruce, giving away her whereabouts. Wyatt goes to the bar, but the woman there plays dumb.

Michael and his boys get the cardholder to stand still long enough to be able to make a copy of the card.

T-Bag’s gotten a couple calls from Mr. Xing. Granted, Xing is now dead.

Mahone wants to find the man who killed his son. He asks Roland to break into the FBI database and find him.

Michael wants to give Sara something to look forward to, so he’s prepared a boat ride for her. If only she hadn’t been followed there.

Prison Break Season 4 Episode 3

Prison Break kicked off its fourth season last week with a special two hour event. First in Prison Break season 4 episode 1 Burrows and Scofield were offered freedom in exchange for taking down the company. They teamed with Sucre, Bellick, Mahone, the newly not dead Sara, and new ex-con Roland. Then in Prison Break Season 4 Episode 2, they tracked down Scylla, the card that’s like the company’s little black book, only to find out that it was just one of six.

Scofield’s pissed off at Agent Self, who claims he had no idea there were any other cards. He doesn’t care that there are other cards, though, and reiterates his threat that they either get him Scylla, or they go back to prison. They’ve got a day.

In addition to the card, they got the PDA as well, so at least they have a little bit of a clue as to where to go next.

Mahone’s son was killed by the company. If he wasn’t out for blood before, he is now.

Self gets pressure from his agency because his boss wants this project killed.

With access to the PDA, they’re working on figuring out the location of a meeting with another cardholder. This requires tracking down e-mails, and in order to get the e-mails, they plan to go to Anaheim to find the server where they’re stored.

Sara distracts the guard by pretending to be a temp who’s there for an interview. This allows them to gain access to the server room. Once he gets off the phone, the guard realizes his badge is missing. Scofield gets the heads up and pulls the fire alarm. The security guy tells Sara to not move, so of course she runs out the door. Scofield heads back to the server room to let Roland know to hurry. The good news is they get the information they came for. The bad news is that the security system sucks all the oxygen out of the room to protect the servers in the event of a fire.

The reinforced security glass isn’t helping matters any. Lincoln has a plan, though. He grabs a big axe from the fire truck and starts swinging. Nobody seems to mind or notice.

Bellick’s not so sure they’re going to be able to pull this off. He wants to flee to Mexico with Sucre, who’s not interested in anything but clearing his name so he can be with his kid.

Bruce Bennett is being interrogated. Wyatt is using a truth serum to try to get Scofield’s whereabouts.

As they’re making some progress toward figuring out the e-mails, the computer freezes. The text message “run” is a hint if they didn’t realize it already. They’re being shut down. Self tells them they need to just pull over and surrender because there is no project any more. This leads to a car chase, which is stopped by traffic, and eventually they have to head on foot to go somewhere that blocks the ankle bracelet signals to buy themselves some time.

Michael figures out that the e-mails go over each other, and with that, he discovers where the meeting is. They’d better get running if they hope to make it.

Next up is grand theft auto. At least now they’ve got some wheels. Not long after they arrive at the meeting location, they’re busted, though. One by one, they’re captured. Agent Self doesn’t care that the meeting is right near them. Lucky thing Scofield’s still on the run.

Roland, Bellick, Lincoln, Mahone, and Sucre are all arrested. Sara is free to go. Michael’s managed to get a video of the meeting on his cell phone. It was not just two cardholders at the meeting. It was all six. Now they know who has all the cards. Self asks for everybody to be let go. He goes over his boss’ head and goes to the Senator to get the project restarted.

Bruce eventually spills the beans. He says that Sara Tancredi is in LA.
