The Biggest Loser Season 12 Episode 3

Posted by Shane on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 6:58 pm

After the older group lost again in The Biggest Loser Season 12 Episode 2, they voted out Johnny following his weight gain.

Those who remain in the blue team say that Johnny was taking too much of Anna’s time.

This is NFL week. At the end of the week, the player with the highest percentage of weight loss wins a trip to the Super Bowl. They start off on a football field, where they are joined by Clay Matthews, Tony Gonzalez, and Drew Brees. Jennifer will sit out of the challenge due to medical reasons. Their task will be to toss balls through their opponents’ cardboard stomachs to knock them over. It’s a pretty simple task because they can walk right up to make the throw, except for the NFL players who receive handicaps. John is the first one out. Then Drew Brees. Tony Gonzalez follows him. Becky is next. Clay Matthews is the last of the NFL players to go. Sunny is next. Antone used to be an NFL player, and he, too, falls without hitting a target. Mike is done. Then Joe. And Bonnie. Nothing but red team left. Ramon is out. Jessica is next. Patrick is the next one down. Vinny misses, giving Courtney the opportunity to knock him out and win the challenge and $5,000.

Jennifer’s MRI shows that her stress fracture is 100% healable, but it will take a few weeks before she can start a more intense exercise program.

Their next challenge will consist of 4 quarters of 15 minutes each with 10 minutes of rest in between. The team with the highest average of calories burned wins. Reward is a spa day. Bob wants to focus on Jennifer. His goal is to prove that she can still burn calories even with the bum leg. After one quarter, the black team has the lead with 283 calories, followed by red team with 238 and then blue team with 183. The second quarter is more of the same, as is the third quarter. After the challenge is done, the blue team has burned an average of 764 calories (191 per quarter), red team has burned an average of 952 calories (238 per quarter), and the black team wins with 1171 calories (293 per quarter). They decline the prize, a smart thing to do because a spa day has the potential to be counterproductive.

Their last surprise of the week is a last chance workout with NFL players in their age groups: Shawne “Lights Out” Merriman, Eric Dickerson, and Tim Tebow.

Vinny realized at a young age that his home was different than others. Whoopins aren’t supposed to leave bruises and welts. The image of him getting his nose broken and his mom asking what he did to cause it will always stick with him. I’d say the hate he’s feeling toward her is a very fair emotion.

Courtney: 240 pounds (-7, 2.83%)
Vinny: 390 pounds (-10, 2.50%)
Ramon: 322 pounds (-7, 2.13%)
Patrick: 350 pounds (-11, 3.05%)
Jessica: 221 pounds (-11, 4.74%)
Red Total: 1523 pounds (-46, 2.93%)

Antone: 389 pounds (-16, 3.95%)
Sunny: 245 pounds (-10, 3.92%)
Joe: 307 pounds (-17, 5.247%)
Jennifer: 289 pounds (-16, 5.246%)
John: 375 pounds (-18, 4.58%)
Black Total: 1605 pounds (-77, 4.58%)

Bonnie: 240 pounds (-7, 2.83%)
Becky: 214 pounds (-9, 4.04%)
Mike: 273 pounds (-17, 5.86%)
Blue Total: 727 pounds (-33, 4.34%)

In a reversal of fortune, the blue team survives this week unscathed, although the black team wins again. As The Biggest Loser for this week, Mike from Indiana will be going to Indianapolis to see whatever Roman numeral Super Bowl number 46 is. With the highest percentage of weight loss on the losing team, Jessica is safe.

It would be tough to pinpoint any of the red team as a weak link. So then it comes down to a question of need. By process of elimination, that would bring us to Courtney. However, Patrick puts his hands up to go home.

Votes
Courtney: Patrick
Patrick: Courtney
Jessica: Patrick
Vinny: Courtney
Ramon: Patrick

As he requested, with 3 votes, Patrick is not The Biggest Loser. From his starting weight of 387 pounds, he is now down to 296 pounds for a total of 91 pounds lost.

The Biggest Loser Season 12 Episode 2

Posted by Shane on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 6:56 pm

Starting off a battle of age, the oldest team lost in The Biggest Loser Season 12 Episode 1, and Debbie all but asked to go home.

This week they will be facing some stereotypes. Any volunteers? Vinny for the red team, Mike for the blue team, and Antone for the black team.

They walk into a room. Mmm… donuts. Alison tells them that the gym will only be open three times each day this week: 5-7AM, 12-2PM, and 9-11PM. Each team can only workout during one of those times. Each mini donut is 35 calories, and they have 3 minutes to eat them. Mike’s the only one with any interest, stereotypically hoping to prevent his blue team from having to stay up late. Each of the remaining contestants will be heading in one team member at a time to see if they can be tempted. Joe very badly pretends to be eating. Since donuts don’t make any noise, his plan is to bump things with his elbows. Meanwhile, Johnny decides to make noises like he’s dying, and Alison has to beg him to stop. Nobody from the second, third, or fourth groups eats. In the final round, John immediately begins chowing down, so it’s going to end up as a two person battle, though he’s not playing games.

Mike’s 11 donuts (385 calories) are no match for John’s 37 donuts (1295 calories). Black team wins temptation. They take the morning slot and give the afternoon time to the blue team, saying they respect them, which red team views as an insult.

So at 4:00 the next morning, Bob walks in with a megaphone and a tune to sing. They don’t know why they picked this time. Tiredness aside, since they have kids, this is the most sensible time in which they would workout when they go home. Bob agrees this is the good time because you wake up, get it over with, and don’t have any excuses after saving it until later in the day.

During the workout, Antone begins pounding the spin bike and then falls to the ground crying. Never seen anything quite like this before.

As the only female, Sunny feels excluded from the rest of her team. Bob has her call a meeting, which she does right away. This quickly turns on John, who’s accused of being a problem and making deals with the red team. He apologizes for calling Sunny dumb, which may not be a smart move, but let’s not get all emotional over it please.

Johnny’s excuses and search for somewhere to take a break are starting to wear on his teammates and his trainer.

The new trainer who’s not a pinup and whose name I’ll probably have to keep looking up (got it, it’s Dolvett) views the late workouts as a good opportunity. He can review their food journal for the day to find out what they need to burn. Plus it’s a good chance for a Yoplait commercial.

Jessica blames her ex for her weight gain. As much as he may have wanted her to eat, he wasn’t hooking her up to an IV and forcing her to do so.

Time for the first visit with Dr. H. This will not end well. Jennifer seems to be successful and well adjusted, but she’s got 155 pounds of excess fat and has a 32% chance of being diabetic in the next 5 years. Bonnie got her stomach stapled 20 years ago, but it didn’t help for long, ultimately causing more harm than help. Her knees are also bone on bone, and the weight is making it worse. Ramon finds out he has diabetes, which the doc can’t sugarcoat (nice pun). His biological age is 27; his inner age is 50. Through 28 pages of questions, he claimed to have no problems, but this 23 year jump is the worst on the ranch.

The challenge is a giant floating maze they must move a ball through. First place is worth a 2 pound advantage at the weigh in; second place is worth a 1 pound advantage. Vinny and Jennifer sit out. Red team finishes in 7:45. Blue team finishes in 14:45, sure to be last place. Black team wins the challenge with a time of 7:42. This should cause some more whining from the red team about how they keep losing to the black team.

The hope this week is to show people the lame excuses about not having time don’t cut it. The notorious week 2 probably was not the time to prove that, but let’s see how the numbers stack up.

Vinny: 400 pounds (-5, 1.23%)
Jessica: 232 pounds (-7, 2.93%)
Courtney: 247 pounds (-7, 2.76%)
Patrick: 361 pounds (-6, 1.63%)
Ramon: 329 pounds (-9, 2.66%)
Red Total: 1569 pounds (-34, -1, 2.18%)

Joe: 324 pounds (-2, 0.61%)
Jennifer: 306 pounds (-6, 1.93%)
Sunny: 255 pounds (-6, 2.30%)
Antone: 405 pounds (-10, 2.41%)
John: 393 pounds (-15, 3.68%)
Black Total: 1682 pounds (-39, -2, 2.38%)

Becky: 223 pounds (-5, 2.19%)
Mike: 290 pounds (-7, 2.36%)
Bonnie: 247 pounds (-3, 1.20%)
Johnny: 313 pounds (+2, 0.64%)
Blue Total: 1073 pounds (-13, 1.20%)

The blue team will be heading to the elimination room again by a large margin. Johnny seemed to turn things around by the end of the week, but his lack of effort showed on the scale. However, having lost so much last week demonstrates his potential, whereas Bonnie has struggled the whole time. As The Biggest Loser on the blue team this week, Mike is safe.

Votes
Becky: Johnny
Johnny: Bonnie
Bonnie: Johnny

In the event of a tie, the person with the lowest percentage of weight loss is eliminated. With 2 votes, Johnny is not The Biggest Loser. From his starting weight of 328 pounds, Johnny is now down to 269 pounds. An 18% drop already shows he could be a contender.

The Biggest Loser Season 12 Episode 1

Posted by Shane on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 6:45 pm

The Biggest Loser Season 12 is set to be a battle of the ages, as the teams will be decided by age. The Biggest Loser 12 cast of 15 contestants includes:

Antone Davis, 44, Knoxville TN, 447 pounds
Bonnie Griffin, 63, Picayune MS, 254 pounds
Courtney Rainville, 24, Scottsdale AZ, 270 pounds
Deborah “Debbie” Lounds, 60, Ann Arbor MI, 239 pounds
Jennifer Rumple, 39, Alameda CA, 330 pounds
Jessica Limpert, 26, San Francisco CA, 254 pounds
Joe Mitchell, 46, Knoxville TN, 348 pounds
John “Johnny” Forger, 65, Canton MA, 328 pounds
John Rhode, 40, Mesa AZ, 445 pounds
Mike Danley, 62, Spencerville IN, 309 pounds
Patrick Ferrari, 25, Albany OR, 387 pounds
Ramon Medeiros, 27, Florence CO, 355 pounds
Rebecca “Becky” Comet, 51, Benton AR, 238 pounds
Sunny Sinclair, 41, Frisco TX, 277 pounds
Vincent “Vinny” Hickerson, 27, Nashville TN, 426 pounds

After 10 seasons, Jillian Michaels decided to leave in favor of Dr. Phil. Hoping to find a replacement, they brought in two new trainers, Brett Hoebel and Cara Castronuova. Neither made the cut. So this year we are greeted by two new new trainers. Tennis star and swimsuit model Anna Kournikova may have the star power to stick around for a while. She is joined by complete unknown Dolvett Quince. Bob Harper is back just as he has been each of the last 11 seasons (plus three Australian seasons), while Alison Sweeney returns as host.

The contestants are dropped off in the desert in the middle of nowhere. I say let them walk back to town, but I don’t think that’s the plan. Alison drives up and tells them to line up in order of the numbers on their shirts, which happen to be their ages. Everyone under 30 forms one team, everyone over 50 is the second team, and everyone in between makes up the third team. They might not have to walk home, but they will have to walk a mile to be able to choose their trainer. The goal seems to be to get there first to get Bob. No lame 4 weeks of safety if you take a chance on the newbies.

The young team takes off quickly. The middle team is hoping to keep them in their sights and maybe catch up later. The seniors just hope to cross the finish line. I sense this is going to be the pattern of physical challenges throughout the season, but luckily for the older team, that’s only one aspect of the game. It’ll help to be young and relatively fit, but it ultimately comes down to weight loss. The middle team picks up speed to take the lead, which they retain to take the win. They opt to join Bob on the black team. Placing second, the young team selects Dolvett’s red team. Anna runs out to join her blue team to finish out their walk, and the other contestants join them. Alison leaves them with a challenge: they’ll return there at the end of the season to run a marathon, with the winning prize being a guaranteed spot in the finals.

Bonnie lost her husband 4 years ago and doesn’t want her grandkids to lose another grandparent. Antone used to be in the NFL and is watching offensive linemen younger than him die.

Debbie repeatedly asks for a break during the first workout. The only time you get a break is when you fall or vomit. Or you can walk out like Johnny threatens to do, though that never lasts more than a few minutes. Antone comments in his confessional how at least they give you breaks in the NFL. He keeps going in spite of the whimpering, but he realizes he’s not as big and bad as he thought.

Becky receives a phone call at 3:15AM informing her that her father has died. Needing something to do to take her mind off this, she heads to the gym.

They will weigh in from oldest to youngest.

Johnny: 311 pounds (-17, 5.18%)
Bonnie: 250 pounds (-4, 1.57%)
Mike: 297 pounds (-12, 3.88%)
Debbie: 233 pounds (-6, 2.51%)
Becky: 228 pounds (-10, 4.20%)
Blue Total: 1319 pounds (-49, 3.58%)

Joe: 326 pounds (-22, 6.32%)
Antone: 447 pounds (-32, 7.16%)
Sunny: 261 pounds (-16, 5.78%)
John: 408 pounds (-37, 8.31%)
Jennifer: 311 pounds (-19, 5.76%)
Black Total: 1721 pounds (-126, 6.82%)

Vinny: 405 pounds (-21, 4.93%)
Ramon: 338 pounds (-17, 4.79%)
Jessica: 239 pounds (-15, 5.91%)
Patrick: 367 pounds (-20, 5.17%)
Courtney: 254 pounds (-16, 5.93%)
Red Total: 1603 pounds (-89, 5.26%)

Blue team falls below the yellow line by a large margin. As the person with the highest percentage of weight loss on the losing team, Johnny is safe from elimination. Debbie says that she’s got a support system at home, and she finds Bonnie’s crying to be annoying. If you’re looking for an argument to get rid of someone, Debbie sure just made her case for going home. Her saving grace, though she apparently doesn’t want it, is that Debbie lost so little.

Votes
Becky: Debbie
Debbie: Bonnie
Johnny: Bonnie
Bonnie: Debbie
Mike: Debbie

With 3 votes, Debbie is not The Biggest Loser. She didn’t seem to want to be there anyway. From her starting weight of 239 pounds, she is now down to 215 pounds.

Dolvett Quince Joins The Biggest Loser

Posted by Shane on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 9:14 pm

In with the new, out with the… new.

So Jillian Michaels is gone because she needs some time to hang out with Dr. Phil. That much we knew. We were left to speculate about new trainers Brett Hoebel and Cara Castranuova. Now it seems as if one season will be the extent of their involvement with The Biggest Loser.

Bob Harper will probably stick around for another 11 seasons, and we learned on finale night that he will be joined by tennis player Anna Kournikova. Two seems sufficient to me, but we have now learned of a third person joining the pair.

Dolvett Quince, trainer to the stars (Justin Bieber… yeah, Justin Bieber) and founder of Body Sculptor Inc., will be joining them.

“I couldn’t be more excited about joining ‘The Biggest Loser’ as their newest trainer,” said Quince. “This amazing opportunity allows me to use my expertise to change lives one rep at a time, and encourage contestants — and viewers — to find strength beyond muscle.”

The Biggest Loser Season 11 Winner

Posted by Shane on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 6:45 pm

Sisters Hannah and Olivia managed to secure the first two spots in the finale in The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 20.

Jay and Irene are competing for America’s votes for the final spot in the top 3. The winner of America’s vote is Irene, so no matter what happens, this year’s Biggest Loser will be a woman. In a season full of quitters, there were a few shining stars. I think we have the right trio there.

Tonight marks Jillian Michaels’ final episode of The Biggest Loser. Supposedly, she was leaving to focus on being a mom, although recently we found out she’s got a gig with Dr. Phil.

Jay now joins the other eliminated contestants to compete for the at home prize of $100,000.

Ana: 146 pounds (-109, 42.75%) - a high starting mark to beat for somebody who left in week 1
Courtney: 213 pounds (-110, 34.06%)
Marci: 152 pounds (-86, 36.13%)
Dan: 163 pounds (-124, 43.21%)
Don: 179 pounds (-130, 42.07%)
Q: 344 pounds (-93, 21.28%)
Larialmy: 217 pounds (-84, 27.91%)
Moses: 287 pounds (-153, 34.77%)
Kaylee: 179 pounds (-54, 23.17%) - 14 pounds gained since leaving campus in week 17
Ken: 219 pounds (-158, 41.91%)
Austin: 222 pounds (-174, 43.94%)
Sarah: 155 pounds (-106, 40.61%)
Deni: 131 pounds (-125, 48.83%) - excellent numbers for this season’s oldest female at age 59
Arthur: 344 pounds (-163, 32.15%)
Jesse: 210 pounds (-83, 28.33%)
Justin: 192 pounds (-173, 47.40%)
Jen: 164 pounds (-114, 41.01%)
Jay: 219 pounds (-181, 45.25%)
No Rulon (if anyone cares)

Deni is The Biggest Loser At Home winner. Well done. Her daughter looks like a completely different person, too.

Next we head into the battle for the top prize. As The Biggest Loser on campus, Irene will decide the order.

Before we get into the final weigh in, it’s time to announce the newest trainer. Because three is not enough, apparently, even though two has been plenty for the past seven seasons. Anna Kournikova will be joining the show as of next season. Perhaps they’re getting rid of Brett and/or Cara. Who knows? What we do know is Bob’s not going anywhere.

Hannah: 128 pounds (-120, 48.39%)
Irene: 139 pounds (-116, 45.49%)
Olivia: 132 pounds (-129, 50.19%)

Beating out her sister, Olivia Ward is The Biggest Loser for season 11. Not to be outdone, her husband has lost 113 pounds.

With its continuing popularity on an otherwise lackluster network (thanks for cancelling The Event and Outsourced by the way), The Biggest Loser will be back in September.

The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 20

Posted by Shane on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 6:45 pm

The girls continued to stick together in The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 19, leading to the elimination of Austin. That brings us down to on trainer per contestant.

It’s the final week heading into the final weigh in that two people will survive. The other two will have their fate in America’s hands.

The contestant who makes the best turkey burger will get $5,000 plus, for the guest of their choice, a two week stay at The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge. They’re going to be cooking for kids. I didn’t even know kids like turkey burgers. Time to break out the green slime and volcano burgers. The concept of healthy eating pretty much is going out the window here. Irene and Olivia only score a few votes. Hannah gets 22 kids with her cheesy burger, but Jay wins with 31 votes for his volcano burger.

Now they have one last challenge. They get a visit from season 10 winner Patrick. Each person has a golf bag filled with weighted flags representing the amount of weight they lost each week, which they must drop off at each station along the way. The winner will get a $15,000 at home gym. Everybody starts 100 pounds or so heavier. After the first station, Olivia calls for a medic. Hannah grabs the lead. Around week 8, they’re able to jog a bit. Irene hopes to catch up to Hannah. Jay figures he’ll probably end up in last, but at least he’ll finish. Hannah keeps her lead throughout the challenge and wins. Although only Hannah gets the complete gym, they will all be receiving an arc trainer.

This season has not been significantly longer than some of the earlier seasons, but those extra few weeks are making the transformations we see throughout this challenge that much more impressive. Even Jay, who started out at 400 pounds, should be under 200 by the finale. Their finale weight is likely to be their bottom weight, from which they’ll go up to varying degrees, so the more time they have on the ranch or for that matter even in the at home competition, the better.

1 hour left, and it’s time for the weigh in. How are you gonna fill that? I’m half expecting a 90 minute The Voice, but know that’s not going to happen.

Irene: 144 pounds (-3, 2.04%)
Jay: 242 pounds (-4, 1.63%)
Olivia: 149 pounds (-4, 2.61%)
Hannah: 146 pounds (-4, 2.67%) - over 100 pounds lost (the third woman to lose more than 100 pounds, alongside the other two final four females)

That puts Olivia and Hannah in the final three, marking the first time two sisters have gotten that far together. Jay and Irene will now compete for America’s votes. Irene leaves the house as The Biggest Loser on campus.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 21, when we will find out who The Biggest Loser 11 winner is, which airs Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC.

The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 19

Posted by Shane on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 6:45 pm

With quitters causing the need to buy more time, nobody was sent home in The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 18.

They will be getting a health test from their trainers. The best grade gets $10,000.

First up is the spin test with Bob. Irene knows how to spin, but she doesn’t know how to explain it. Bob gives her a 72, which is better than she expected. Olivia scores a perfect 100. Jay has him remove the seat. The lack of safety nets him a 58. Austin does a really good job and gets a 95. Like her sister, Hannah gets a 100.

Professor Brett has a science test for them. Hannah scores a 77, getting the general idea but missing basic questions like the difference between simple and complex carbs. Irene gets an 80. Olivia comes in above her with an 83. Austin scores an 82. Jay comes out on top with an 88.

Cara’s presumbly going to box the contestants. Well, that was boringly predictable. She scores them based on whether they are fighters. Irene gets a 70. Olivia gets another 100. Jay gets a 95, and so does Austin. In spite of the joking and laughing that she was warned not to do, Hannah gets a 92.

Jillian has a role playing exam. She will be the contestant, and they will be the motivators. She’ll say what they say to her, and their job is to be her. Irene doesn’t emotionally connect, and she wasn’t able to get Jillian to do so either, so she gets an 85. Jay gets a 90. Austin didn’t give a how to but had a good attitude, so he got an 85. Olivia’s positivity is good enough for an 89. Hannah scores a 90.

The final final exam is to play The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout on Xbox 360, which actually looks to be a somewhat viable workout routine. Their task is to match the movements on each exercise. First place gets 100 points, second gets 90, and so on down to 60. This could be a make or break test. Based on the current standings, Irene and Jay have no hope of winning the competition, as they are more than 40 points behind the current leader, Olivia. First they must do sumo jump squats for 5 minutes. This is followed by high knee jump rope, skating, and standing mountain climbers. Jay gives up in the first round, and Austin’s not far behind him. It comes down to the sisters. With that said, because she led by more than 10 points, Olivia’s got this in the bag regardless of the fact that Hannah wins this final round. By 3 points, Olivia wins $10,000.

The challenge is to use 100 sandbags to make their way to the top of the steps. The winner gets a 1 pound advantage. Every 25 bags, they can make their way up to the next level. Olivia’s in first place, followed by Austin and Irene. Austin gets a bit of a lead as they head into the third step. The girls hope one of them will win, as 1 pound for them is a huge deal, but this seems to be a guy’s challenge to lose. Olivia’s keeping things competitive, though, but ultimately Austin wins the challenge.

Even the Subway commercial is a challenge. Whoever gets closest to the number of calories in a sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub wins a $500 Subway gift card. With her precise guess of 380 calories, Hannah is the winner.

Alison has one final test. Would Olivia like to exchange her $10,000 for a 1 pound advantage? Would Austin like to exchange his 1 pound advantage for $10,000? The pound is a lot bigger deal for Olivia than it is for Austin, but it could mean the difference between staying and going for either of them. Austin will keep the pound. Olivia will keep the $10,000, although she’s less convinced than Austin that her decision is the right one.

Hannah: 150 pounds (-4, 2.60%)
Irene: 147 pounds (-5, 3.29%)
Jay: 246 pounds (-9, 3.53%)
Olivia: 153 pounds (-5, 3.16%)
Austin: 235 pounds (-1, -1, 0.85%)

Olivia’s decision to not take the 1 pound, a decision Jillian did not hide being angry about, nearly knocked her under the yellow line with her sister, but she was saved by Austin’s low number. Obviously, Austin will be eliminated rather than Hannah.

Votes
Olivia: Austin
Jay: Austin

With 2 votes, Austin is not The Biggest Loser, thereby eliminating all contestants who started off campus with the secret trainers. From his starting weight of 396 pounds, Austin is now down 166 pounds to 230.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 20, which airs Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC.

The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 18

Posted by Shane on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 6:45 pm

In spite of being only an hour long, The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 17 was not uneventful. First, Rulon decided to quit, in spite of still weighing a hefty 300+ pounds. Then Kaylee was voted out.

They are greeted by Tim Gunn, which means one thing: it’s makeover week. Needless to say, with a 1 hour show again, they’re going to be skipping through fairy tale themed transformations and “surprise” family visits pretty quickly.

So after the makeover, they head to the beach. Alison thinks they might look better in a brand new Mazda 5. They are on the beach with 50 Mazda shaped sand castles. They’ll have to dig up keys and head a quarter mile down the pier. There is not just one car on offer but two. With five people left (I hadn’t even noticed it was that close to over), that leaves them with a 40% chance of winning a new car, the best odds I ever remember seeing. On her second attempt, Irene wins the first car, which she plans to give to her mom Ana. They’re half done in an hour. It’s beginning to seem like they have been Punk’d as the keys dwindle. With the second to last key, Olivia wins the other car.

Then it’s time for the weigh in. The boys better just hope neither of them fall below the yellow line.

Hannah: 154 pounds (-2, 1.28%)
Jay: 255 pounds (-3, 1.16%)
Austin: 236 pounds (-7, 2.88%)
