Big Brother 9 Episode 9

The house unanimously decided to get rid of Alex & Amanda in Big Brother 9 Episode 8. Following that, Joshuah & Sharon won HOH.

Allison wanted to target Alex & Amanda, though they edited it to make it look like she was the one who was targeting Matt & Natalie, so Joshuah is upset with Allison and wants her gone. Allison is disappointed that Josh is such a sore winner, which he carries on by throwing insults at her like they’re in third grade. Ultimately, he does draw it back to the fact that she faked being a lesbian. He’s got a valid reason for being upset by that, which as I said was a stupid idea from the beginning… but he’s approaching it completely the wrong way. Like the prior HOH’s, he’s failing to realize he only has HOH for one week. The good news for him is that nobody else in the house really likes Allison either.

Allison lashes out against Matt and Ryan for not having stuck up against her. As if the guilt trip is going to make her any happier.

Big Brother plays a prank on Sharon, bringing in a picture of her and Jacob. Joshuah gets a princess tiara… except this isn’t a prank. He’s thrilled by his tiara.

Despite the fact that Sheila pretended to be a lesbian and also was the one who was reluctant to tell the truth, Joshuah is cool with her. He just hates Allison, who at this point seems to be in a state of not caring less.

Natalie’s trying to get Matt to fall for her, but he just keeps pushing her away and does not want to get emotionally attached.

Remember last week when two people went to the hospital with food-related problems? You know that means. It’s time for another food challenge. The girls dress in asparagus unitards for the challenge. Teams must load asparagus into crates that matches the amount of weight of their partners, within 10 pounds. Everybody’s working together. Matt & Natalie are unable to win the carbs and feast, but they win everything else, so hopefully it will be enough to keep the ambulance away for this week.

Allison decides to provoke Joshuah into another fight. They have a battle of wits, but neither is particularly well armed. Since she’s fighting back, he’s not as interested in fighting, though. He wants peace in the house. Huh? Then he calls a house meeting with the exclusion of Ryan & Allison. The rest of the house wants Allison gone. I’m surprised she’s even survived this long. Ryan’s not impressed with her either, but he’s stuck with her.

Allison goes upstairs to talk to Joshuah because she believes she can patch things up. She apologizes. He tells her to win or go home.

Everybody’s concerned about being the pawn.

Nominations
Adam & Sheila-Safe
James & Chelsia-Safe

Ryan & Allison and Matt & Natalie have been nominated for eviction. Matt’s pissed. Again.

Big Brother 9 Spoilers

Big Brother 9 Adam Was Busted for Marijuana Possession

The punches just keep coming for this season’s Big Brother cast. Adam Jasinski earlier in the season caused a stir for calling autistic people “retards.” Since that time, he has been fired from his job following a campaign by Autism United, a group that has used the situation to boost the visibility of its cause and demanded that CBS cancel Big Brother 8 (I think they mean Big Brother 9, although I wouldn’t have been entirely opposed to BB8 being cancelled considering the train wreck it was).

Now, Star Magazine has uncovered some more dirt on Adam. He was arrested and convicted after being charged with possession of more than 20 pounds of marijuana. He was first busted at his E 33rd St. apartment in Manhattan on February 10, 2004, when they found a package containing more than 10 pounds of pot. The next day, an additional 10 pound package was found.

Adam certainly isn’t alone amongst the Big Brother alumni. Multiple others have records. Probably the most famous case of a rap sheet is Janelle Pierzina from Big Brother 6 and 7. In 2000, she was arrested for DWI, failed to appear for her arraignment but pled guilty a year later, failed to complete the alcohol education course, failed to show up for court for that as well, but finally it all came to an end 4 years after the fact when she showed up and was reassigned to alcohol education and probation. During that time frame, she was also busted for petty theft from Macy’s, this time ignoring two bench warrants for her arrest before finally cooperating with the third one just before heading into the Big Brother house.

Big Brother 9 Episode 8

As much as they hoped to get revenge on James, neither Alex nor Matt were able to pull off a veto win in Big Brother 9 Episode 7 to save themselves. Sheila and Allison decided they should hate each other. I agree with both of them. Then we got some unexpected drama with two houseguests being hospitalized because of the food.

Matt makes a deal with Adam to try to keep himself in the house. Adam’s completely in support of operation condor. James couldn’t care less who goes as long as it’s not him.

Allison’s concerned that Matt & Natalie are very strong. She pitches her theory to the others. Her theory is that Alex & Amanda will be tired from being on the block, making them weaker. Yet Matt & Natalie wouldn’t be tired from also being on the block I guess. Her partner Ryan is more concerned about Alex & Amanda.

Sheila’s learned that in this game you have to keep some things to yourself, or so she says.

Chelsia’s confused by her team’s decision of nominating Matt & Natalie after promising them repeatedly they wouldn’t.

Tonight’s voting takes place live.

Adam & Sheila-Alex & Amanda
Joshuah & Sharon-Alex & Amanda
Ryan & Allison-Alex & Amanda

By a vote of 3-0, Alex & Amanda have been evicted from the Big Brother house. For the second week in a row, the outgoing power couple is gone. Let’s see if James’ dumb ass has secured it as a three for three. Alex still blames Amanda for getting them nominated, but he accepts some responsibility since he didn’t campaign to stay. Allison and Ryan both leave bitter goodbye messages, which we’ve learned from previous seasons is just plain stupid. But that’s how they’re both playing the game thus far, so it’s par for the course.

Tonight’s HOH competition is called words of love and centers around the love quotes on the walls in the house. Sharon gets the first question right and eliminates Allison. Sharon then gets the second question right and eliminates Sheila. And then she gets the third question right, winning the ladies’ round. Ryan is incorrect and is eliminated. Joshuah gets the second question right and takes out Matt. Joshuah is again right, winning the men’s round. Since he and his partner both won, Joshuah & Sharon are HOH.

Big Brother 9 Spoilers

Big Brother 9 Episode 7

Following James & Chelsia’s HOH win, they decided they wanted to get rid of Amanda and by extension her partner Alex in Big Brother 9 Episode 6. Despite a promise not to nominate him, Matt was put up as a pawn with Natalie. Sheila and Allison, meanwhile, had to tell everybody their stupid lie about being a lesbian couple was just that, a stupid lie.

Alex blames Amanda for his nomination, and he doesn’t hide it. He doesn’t plan to be negative to the house. Just to his partner.

Matt doesn’t hide his frustration with James & Chelsia, but James doesn’t feel bad about it. Yes, this is Big Brother. Lie. But don’t get caught in a lie this blatant for no reason at all. When talking to Matt and Alex, James makes no apologies for what he’s done, telling them it’s just a game. It will be just a game when whoever survives targets him, too. They have one goal in mind now: get revenge on James.

Sheila’s starting to distrust Allison, finally opening her eyes like the rest of the country.

Sheila confronts Allison and tells her she feels she’s been mad at her. Allison claims she just needs to spend more time with Ryan.

Sharon & Joshuah are selected randomly to participate in the veto competition. In addition to veto, the winning team will be able to receive information from the outside world. Teams must adjust miniature utility poles in order to restore power. Connecting the wires and poles is like a puzzle with one solution. Sharon & Joshuah win the power of veto, just beating Alex & Amanda. The house gets news from the outside world, from the presidential campaign to Britney Spears. They also get news about the Hudson River Virus, which gets them all worried, even though it’s just a plotline from Jericho Season 2.

Sheila continues to be worried that Allison was just nice to her for her vote. She confides in Natalie, who thinks she just needs to keep things in more. Then she goes angrily to Matt, who thinks she’s a mental case. She’s loud about it, too, so it’s not exactly a secret among the rest of the house. Word gets back to Allison, so she goes to talk to her, inviting the others along, though they don’t follow. Not that it’s hard to overhear. Sheila tells her to not talk to her for the rest of the game. Ryan comes to Allison’s defense, and so does Sheila’s partner Adam. Since they’re on the block Alex & Amanda are thrilled all this chaos is going on around them.

Allison’s outside running and all of a sudden decides she needs to go into the diary room. She thinks she’s having an allergic reaction. While she’s in there, Amanda, who’s on slop, starts to get lightheaded because she’s hypoglycemic, and she collapses on the ground. I said this when it was introduced, and I’ll say it again. Slop is a ridiculous and stupid twist that serves no purpose. PB&J may not be the healthiest option, but at least it’s a balanced meal (even if it, too, serves no point). This slop crap is just asking for trouble. The ambulance shows up to haul them away.

The rest of the house sits around pondering how their differences aren’t really that big a deal, how they hope the others return safely, and are impressed by James being there to help Amanda out. Amanda’s the first one to return. Then Allison comes back. Everybody’s happy to see both of them.

It’s time to get back to the game, though. Joshuah & Sharon decide not to use the veto.

Big Brother 9 Episode 6

Allison got what she wanted in Big Brother 9 Episode 5: she got rid of her partner Ryan’s girlfriend, which she presumably hopes will help open the door for her (if you ask me, I’d say just leave the door shut). Along with Jen, her partner Parker, whose strategy was apparently to stick out like a sore thumb, became the second pair to be evicted from the Big Brother house. In the competition for the next HOH, James and Chelsia emerged victorious.

Amanda’s crying because Parker’s gone, saying she didn’t want him to leave. Ironic considering she’s one of the people who nominated him.

James & Chelsia believe they’re in charge of the house. HOH only lasts for one week, folks.

James promises Matt he won’t be on the block.

Joshuah tells Sharon the “secret” that Sheila and Allison are lesbians.

They head up to the HOH room. Chelsia quickly becomes obnoxiously loud. James gets pictures of his family, which he doesn’t have any of since he’s riding his bike around the world.

After the unveiling, they tell Natalie the same thing they told Matt: she’s safe. They want to get rid of Alex & Amanda.

Amanda pulls Joshuah aside to make up after the fight they had. She then makes an offer of an alliance, since nobody would suspect it.

Natalie’s already discussing having 5-7 kids with Matt. He’s going to be running for the hills very soon. Matt doesn’t want to get distracted by flirting and wants to keep his eye on the prize.

Allison now wants to stop pretending she’s a lesbian. Sheila doesn’t want to flip, though.

The house is divided into two teams for the food challenge. Joshuah & Sharon, Ryan & Allison, and Natalie & Matt are on yellow team. Sheila & Adam, Chelsia & James, Alex & Amanda are on green team. They walk outside and are greeted by the smell of dead fish. Deckhands will hold the nets, while divers will dive for fish and fill the opposing team’s net. Yellow team has all their guys holding nets, while green team opts to have one guy diving. Ryan thinks women covered in fish guts and blood is sexy. They gang up on him, and he’s the first one out. James is out next, followed by Amanda. Matt’s next out, making it Joshuah against Adam. As far ahead as they are in sinking Adam, it’s clear it’s just a matter of time before he’s out. Yellow team wins the food challenge. Green team must eat slop for the week.

James sorta has romantic feelings for Chelsia. He doesn’t know if she likes him but eventually convinces her to snuggle with him.

Sheila and Allison tell Chelsia, one half of the HOH couple, that the lesbian story was just made up. She told James, since she tells him everything, so they have to tell him, too. Then Allison decides to tell Josh. Nobody believes they can trust them any more, and everybody’s pissed off. My initial reaction was that the lie was stupid, and while it worked out in their favor briefly, it just doesn’t make any sense in the long term.

To carry out operation condor, which is completed when Amanda & Alex are eliminated from the game, James needs a pawn. He tells Matt that now he’s thinking of putting him up.

Nominations
Adam & Sheila-Safe
Joshuah & Sharon-Safe
Ryan & Allison-Safe

Alex & Amanda and Matt & Natalie have been nominated. James and Chelsia make no bones about the fact that they’re targeting Amanda, in what is ultimately a very dumb nomination speech. In the process of letting Amanda know they hate her, though, they’ve also made an enemy out of Matt, who wants revenge for the nomination, which is never a guaranteed thing, pawn or not.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of Big Brother 9 Episode 7, which airs Tuesday at 9/8c on CBS.

Big Brother 9 Episode 5

Last night on Big Brother 9 Episode 4, Parker, Jen, Ryan, and Allison basically decided they all hated each other (still), while Parker attacked James, Amanda and Alex grew further apart, and Parker wasn’t thrilled with Matt choosing not to use the veto. As far as people actually strengthening relationships, well, Parker and Amanda at least seem to be getting along.

The house is slowly but surely turning on Amanda, the gossip of the house. Those who don’t like her are fed up with it, and those close to her don’t like it either because it just paints targets on them. After hearing some gossip about James and her putting up Amanda, Chelsia goes into the backyard and explodes. Joshuah then does a remarkable impression of Evel Dick, telling Amanda the whole house hates her. Then Josh makes a comment about how she should get a noose, just like her father, who we learned last week hung himself. Ouch.

Allison’s still jealous of Jen. Sheila weighs in and tells Ryan that Jen’s been talking about him, but she refuses to answer until he pushes her on it. Sheila says Jen called him a racist. He “talks” to Jen about it. Talks meaning he tells her she’s going home but doesn’t really say anything else worth mentioning. Jen claims she never said he’s racist, but she did whether she remembers it or not. She wants to talk. He still doesn’t care, but she eventually gets out that she loves him.

Sheila and Adam tell Julie they’re getting along okay now.

Three or four people raise their hands saying they’re confident there are no other secret couples in the house. Everybody else is still suspicious.

Amanda says she’s forgiven the people for what they said earlier in the week, and she doesn’t regret sharing what she did about her father. Alex & Amanda believe they have to work together as a team and will be able to do so.

Each couple gets one vote, and if they can’t agree, they risk being evicted themselves. By a vote of 3-1, Jen & Parker have been evicted from the Big Brother house.

It’s time for the HOH competition. It’s majority rules, and each answer comes with a reward or consequence.

Hot food or hot water? For 72 hours, the majority agrees to go without hot water.
Should the women wear bathing suits or soulmates’ favorite clothes? Everybody wants the women to wear bathing suits for the next 24 hours.
Eating utensils or drinking cups? They’ll lose drinking cups for a week.
Margarita party or outdoor grill? Everybody wants a margarita party.
The men serve breakfast in bed or the women cook dinner? The women will be cooking dinner.
No workout equipment or no washing machine? They won’t have a washing machine for the next two weeks.

Getting all their questions right, James & Chelsia win HOH.

“Crazy James” Zinkand, the homeless guy riding his bicycle around the world who’s made a pitstop in the Big Brother 9 house, has had his gay porn past with DirtyBoyVideo revealed through the power of the Internet. So far, it’s known that he has done solo work and also made out with and given and received oral sex from another guy, and it seems that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

This is not the first time a gay porn scandal has hit the Big Brother house. In 2005, Czech Big Brother contestant Tommy Hansen revealed to his housemates that he had performed in videos for Bel Ami. The studio later cut all ties with him due to privacy concerns.

Big Brother 9 Episode 4

Ryan and Jen let their secret out of the bag to their partners. Rather than just use the twist to their advantage, Allison threatened to tell everybody in Big Brother 9 Episode 3, but just so they could get the information out on their own terms, Parker & Jen decided they would tell everybody instead. Either way, and regardless of how much they all blamed each other, the net result was the nomination of both Parker & Jen and Ryan & Allison.

Parker blames Jen and thinks he’s teamed with an idiot. Allison blames Jen and is still whining about her. Ryan’s not sure Allison will ever trust him, and she wants him to tell her every day that she can trust him. Ryan would rather play for himself than Jen. Amanda says they need Ryan out of there, and Jen gives her the word that she’s getting rid of Ryan no matter what.

Neil will be leaving the game due to “an urgent personal matter.” Since this is a couples game, Joshuah is allowed to choose between Jacob and Sharon as the replacement. Gee, I wonder what he’ll do. He chooses Sharon, considering everybody hates Jacob. Considering her ex-boyfriend screwed up her game, I’m glad to see Sharon returning. Like everybody else, Sharon’s pissed off to find out that Ryan and Jen are dating.

Amanda and Alex, who seemed to like each other initially, are starting to get tired of each other, although he says he still really likes her. She’s getting along a lot better with Parker now than anybody else.

Despite the fact that they’ve been nominated because they’re a couple, Ryan and Jen are having trouble keeping their hands off each other. Unable to control themselves, they decide to have a very quickie in the bathroom (he promises it’ll take about 20 seconds, and she’s okay with that). An eavesdropping Parker is quite amused.

Allison and Sheila are continuing their “lesbian love affair.” Somehow, James is dumb enough to take this information and run with it. He thinks there’s another couple in the house, which he bases on a puzzle piece with four colors. This leads Alex to believe that maybe that other couple is Amanda and Parker. She’s offended because she put her hand on the bible, a ceremony that meant nothing to him like it meant nothing to half the people in the house. In true Parker style, he takes this public and starts yelling at people. Ultimately, this just further divides Amanda and Alex. All things considered, this whole story about how they’re a lesbian couple, which seemed entirely pointless to begin with, looks like it may actually be working in their favor, at least for now. Alex and Amanda are growing further apart, while Parker has made himself yet another enemy in James.

Amanda doesn’t know what to do with this love triangle. Alex says he’s tired of her walking around like a slut but says he has feelings for her, though he doesn’t expect it will work out.

Natalie & Matt are selected randomly to play for veto, along with the HOH couple and the two teams who have been nominated. Matt pretends he’ll use the veto to save Parker, but he doesn’t plan to live up to that since Parker causes way too much drama. One player will be on a spinning heart, and the other will spin them. The first to spin 300 times will win veto. Allison & Ryan get off to an early lead, but Matt & Natalie take it from them around 50 spins. Eventually, Amanda & Alex pass Allison & Ryan to take second. Ryan’s slowing down, but it doesn’t matter because Allison lets go at 135 spins. Parker & Jen, meanwhile, aren’t even close to being in it at any point. Amanda “threw” the competition, one she wasn’t going to win regardless, by letting go on purpose, although it is smart to have their most trusted alliance win rather than painting a bigger target on themselves. Of course, in the event that Natalie were to slip, that would leave nobody to defend against Parker & Jen winning, forcing Amanda & Alex to nominate yet another couple, making this move decidedly foolish. As has been obvious almost the entire time, though, Matt & Natalie win veto.

Parker’s completely convinced that Matt will remove him with veto. Alex tells Amanda he doesn’t want to waste his time and comes up with the plan to not be attached to anybody else in the house, which doesn’t sit well with her. When she reveals this to Parker, he for once says he’s just going to bite his tongue, but he’s concerned enough that he wants Matt to take them off the block more now than ever.

Matt’s dilemma is simple. Parker’s partner is Jen. In the end, they decide not to use the power of veto. Parker thinks the game blows and claims he doesn’t really care.
