Big Brother 11 Episode 21

After Jeff won HOH in Big Brother 11 Episode 20, he nominated his enemies Natalie and Kevin, supposedly both as pawns to get rid of Russell.

Russell is very surprised he hasn’t been nominated, although he realizes that he can be eliminated should he not win the veto competition.

Russell’s vote to save Natalie over Jessie, which did not work and at the time seemed quite odd, is an indication to Jeff that he can’t trust him.

Jeff wants Jordan to get focused and practice for the lame competitions in the house because he wants someone who will actually protect him.

Russell rings the doorbell of the HOH room. Jeff is asleep with headphones on and doesn’t answer. Let’s bump up the paranoia.

Kevin has been surprised to find that all the houseguests have been supportive and accepting of him being gay.

Like Russell, Michele is getting suspicious about their alliance with Jeff and Jordan. Speaking of Jeff and Jordan, she doesn’t like that Jeff is snapping at her lately. Trouble in paradise? He’s worried that everybody thinks she’s the sweetest person in there. Ideally, that’s not somebody you want to be up against in the final two.

Kevin’s got a plan. If Jeff and Jordan are dumb enough to take the bait, they’ll stab them in the back the first chance they get. Should they actually win something for a change. Granted, it’s not like they’re up against particularly tough competitors in these challenges any more.

The houseguests walk out in the backyard where they’re greeted by an ape, bananas, and, of course, Casey, who apparently thinks he’s a rapper. He will rap, and the houseguests must get the bananas that match the clues based on evicted houseguests. Then they have to get up that ramp. An easier task for the boys than for Natalie and Michele. Jordan is eliminated on the first question. Her concern is that Jeff will be so mad at her for not pulling her weight. Having done so poorly last time, Michele knows instantly where her next banana is. Natalie gets eliminated in the second round. Russell is eliminated in the third round. He prays that Michele can win, but based on how much difficulty she’s having getting up that ramp, it doesn’t seem very likely, although this whole searching task is largely dumb luck. Kevin gets eliminated in the fourth round. After screwing with Michele’s mind some, Jeff wins the power of veto.

Russell promises hell in the house if he goes up on the block. Oh. Again?

Jeff and Jordan are worried that Michele and Russell are a pair, and they are. The most unlikely pair ever, but a pair nonetheless. Beyond that, Jordan and Jeff have convinced themselves that these two people with no relationships with the jury are threats to them in the end.

Jeff wants to know what his assurances are. Natalie and Kevin promise that he won’t go up. So Jordan will be one of the nominees. That seems to sit well with him.

At the veto meeting, all goes according to plan. Kevin has been removed from the block. In his place goes Russell. Jeff couldn’t get past the Jessie vote, and Michele and Russell were getting a little too close.

While I’m happy to see that clown Russell getting what he’s got, it’s hard to say whether this is a good move. This would eliminate a strong physical challenge threat who’s unpredictable, but it also leaves a loyal alliance on the opposite side with 50/50 odds of winning HOH. Granted, should they take those odds and come out on top, it could potentially be game suicide. There are only 6 votes in the jury, and losing both Jeff’s and Jordan’s at the same time is as likely as it is dangerous. On the other hand, both of them do have more friends in the jury than Russell, who’s spent all summer making a series of enemies.

Big Brother 11 Episode 20

Lydia was voted out in Big Brother 11 Episode 19, and then we left off at the beginning of an hour-long HOH competition.

Jeff and Jordan opted to get rid of Lydia instead of Russell due to the numbers and also because Russell will be a target in the future. Regardless of that, Jeff is the biggest target in the house now that he’s split up all the other couples.

Kevin’s had the lead throughout the competition. Jeff is giving him a run for his money as they run neck and neck. To raise the stakes, the two who finish at the bottom will be the have nots. That’s looking like Michele and Natalie. Kevin’s up 16-12 over Russell with Jeff at 11. At this point, gold cans are introduced that will allow them to close off one competitor’s tubes off for 60 seconds. Lame. Kevin hits 20. Jeff’s in second with 15. Russell and Natalie have 13. Michele still has just 9. Jeff ups it to 16 as Kevin hits 21. Obviously, somebody’s going to gold can him eventually. Russell lands the gold can and stops Kevin. Kevin uses his gold can on Russell to get revenge. Stupid. Should have used it on Jeff, who’s right on his heels. Kevin’s 22; Jeff’s 18. Jeff uses this minute to concentrate and hits 22. Kevin hits 23. Kevin uses 2 gold cans on Jeff unsuccessfully. Jeff is now at 23, so the first one to land their next can wins. Jeff wins HOH.

If Kevin goes home this week, he deserves it for stupidity. He had this competition won but played emotionally. Granted, he was also harmed by the stupid gold can nonsense.

Natalie and Kevin assume they’re both going up. Russell knows he’s got reason to worry, though.

Kevin’s hope is that he can convince Jeff he’s not a big threat. He says that if he won, he would have nominated Russell, which if true would have been a dumb idea.

Jordan is trying to convince Jeff to take her with him to Hawaii. She’s willing to maybe kiss and cuddle with him if he takes her. Nothing more. Wonder how that changes when her mom is not watching. By throwing HOH to her, he looks noble, gets this Hawaiian vacation, and he can decide what girl he wants to bring with him. Not a bad trade.

Russell denies that he ever planned to get rid of Jeff. What would be the advantage to him doing that? Uh, you split up the couple. Russell asks Michele if they ever talked about that. She responds that they were chatting about lots of stuff. That’s not a no. After this conversation, Jordan says that she doesn’t trust either of them. She believes Kevin and Natalie over them. He suggests going back to them to confront Russell. Jeff believes it would be a dumb move. As if going to the final four with two people who won’t stab each other is very smart. After some pushing, Russell still denies he ever said that, but he does acknowledge that he doesn’t stand a chance against Jeff in the finals.

Russell and Michele for the have nots for the week. They get churros and chitlins from the stupid/pointless America’s Choice votes. They’re both happy to see the churros, although they’ll pass on the chitlins.

There’s a poker game going on. The stakes are high: Now & Laters. Somehow, this leads to a shouting match between Natalie and Russell.

Russell doesn’t want to beat this dead horse any more, but Michele wants to go up there and talk to them some more. Jeff tells her they’re both safe, but in reality he hasn’t quite made a decision. Russell is suspicious of this. While she’s telling the truth, I wouldn’t have let her go up there to pitch for me if I were him.

Michele talks about how she works every day 7 days a week including holidays. So how does someone like that get 3 months off to come in the Big Brother house?

Natalie pitches a new final four deal: the two alliances joining together instead of one alliance siding with the floaters. In order to do that, Kevin and Natalie will go up. Then they will backdoor Russell if any of them gets the veto.

When Jeff approaches Jordan with this plan, her thought process is the same as his. They don’t know if they can trust Natalie, but they do know they can’t trust Russell.

If Russell were Jeff, he’d nominate Michele and himself.

Nominations
Russell is safe.
Michele is safe.
Jordan is safe.

Kevin and Natalie have been nominated for eviction. Natalie’s been put on the block one time each previously by both Jeff and Jordan, so she should be getting used to it. For Kevin, this is a first. Russell’s key was suspiciously first, which he should probably take as a hint something may be up.

Big Brother 11 Episode 19

Chima, whose excessive loudness and wacky behavior proved to be ratings gold, was expelled from the house in Big Brother 11 Episode 18 after she became disgusted with the game being rigged and reacted accordingly. Following the early eviction of Chima, a new HOH competition was held, and Jordan became the new HOH, a power which you’ll notice nobody will take from her. I’m just saying. Her nominees are Natalie and Lydia.

Natalie realizes she’s all alone in the house, apparently meaning that she’s given up on any alliance she may or may not have had with Kevin and Lydia.

Russell tells Michele that they’re both lone wolves, so he wants to stick with her because she’s been just as big a villain. He thinks Jordan’s dumb for not having taken out one of them.

Kevin reveals to the girls something they don’t want to know about Jessie. He was playing both of them. Natalie was plan A; Lydia was plan B. They’re glad he’s gone, or so they’re pretending. That is something they have in common, though, so maybe they can work together. If they can convince the others that Russell and Michele have a final two deal, maybe somebody will vote one of them out instead. Kevin tells the story to Jeff about how Russell and Michele want to split up a couple. They’d be dumb not to. Any pair is dangerous, and Jeff and Jordan would be the only pair left if Lydia were evicted. Kevin’s amazed that Jeff is buying his story. Neither Jeff nor Jordan believe Kevin would lie.

Since they couldn’t do the double eviction tonight, the veto competition will be held live instead. The only person who will not be playing is Russell. The competition is before or after, typically used as a lame HOH competition, but tonight it serves as a lame power of veto competition instead. Everybody gets the first question right. Jeff, Lydia, and Natalie are all eliminated on the second question. Everybody gets the third question right. Kevin is eliminated on the next question. Both Jordan and Michele get the next question right and the one after that and the one after that and the one after that. Am I alone here, or does it look like Jordan’s reading something during this competition? Time for a tie breaker. How many truffles were in the giant mud pit? Michele answers 50; Jordan answers 60. The correct answer is 104. Jordan wins POV and will have a few minutes to make a decision that she’s probably already made.

Jordan has decided not to use the power of veto, securing her original nominations.

Votes
Russell: Lydia
Michele: Lydia
Jeff: Lydia
Kevin: Natalie

By a vote of 3-1, Lydia has been evicted from the Big Brother house. Upon her eviction, Lydia only says goodbye to Kevin. So much for her newfound friendship with Natalie. Nonetheless, she leaves with a positive attitude. She got a best friend and an experience of a lifetime, so that will work. Lydia will now be alone with Jessie in the jury house. She promises she will get even. Yeah, that will last long.

Now it’s time for a battle for the new HOH. Ultimately, this is about Jeff fighting for his life because anybody who wins and doesn’t nominate him and Jordan is an idiot since everybody else has lost the second half of their pair. The HOH competition is to recycle 24 cans into their tubes. They’ll have to drop their cans from up high and hope they go in. The HOH competition will continue for one hour or until someone wins. Kevin and Michele are in the lead with 4 points. They know better than it being that easy, though. Big Brother has added platforms to block their shots unless they have good timing to go with their aim. If you want to know who wins HOH before Sunday’s show, check out the BB11 spoilers page.

Big Brother 11 Episode 18

Having won HOH, Michele nominated Chima in Big Brother 11 Episode 17 because she’s hoping to weed out people who are smarter than her (which would explain why she also got rid of her other teammate Ronnie). Up against Chima is Natalie as a pawn.

Anybody who’s been keeping up with the spoilers knows we’re in for a hell of an episode tonight. With that in mind, I have just one thing to preface this episode with…

Memo to the producers: if you’re going to rig the show (as usual), you pretty much deserve for a raving lunatic to flip out on you. Let the hamsters be. If the outcome is going to be manipulated by public vote or banner planes, why not just change the rules back to how they were in Big Brother 1 (a season nobody remembers)?

Following the nomination ceremony, Chima is talking about quitting. Big Brother won’t take kindly to that. They’ve talked people out of quitting before. This isn’t Survivor. Quitting is considered breach of contract and can potentially be dealt with accordingly.

When she walks out into the backyard, Chima’s told to put on her microphone. She flips off Big Brother. Kevin goes out and gets her microphone for her. Natalie hands it to her. So Chima throws it in the hot tub. Chima, that’s coming out of your stipend. That’s CBS property.

Not having learned from earlier, Kevin goes to get Chima a new microphone. She reluctantly agrees. For about two seconds.

Chima doesn’t want to respond. Perhaps she’ll respond to Allison Grodner, the head of rigging the show. When she arrives in the diary room, she’s told that she doesn’t need to sit down. Just walk out the door.

When we return, the houseguests are called to the living room. They are informed that Chima has been expelled from the game because she is not following the rules of the game. The reason? Destroyed microphone. For a frame of reference, there have been two other expulsions in Big Brother history: Justin from season two (held a knife to Krista’s throat) and Scott from season 4 (throwing chairs around). In each case, they were considered dangerous to the safety of others. So was Chima really expelled, or did she quit? I guess it depends whose story you believe.

Like Chima before her, Michele’s HOH power has been removed, but she got exactly what she wanted.

There will be a new HOH competition. The competition is a mini golf tournament. Aside from the hole in one, the other scores are completely random. The person eliminated in each round will win a prize, one of which is the HOH key. The golfer who wins the final round gets to choose from all the prizes. In the first round, Lydia scores a 6. Jordan gets a 3. Natalie scores a 2. Russell gets a hole in 1, and so do Jeff and Kevin. With the highest score, Lydia has been eliminated. She gets the HOH key as her prize.

In round 2, Jordan gets a 2. Natalie gets a 7. Russell gets another hole in 1, as do Jeff and Kevin. With the highest score, Natalie has been eliminated. Her prize is a Hawaiian vacation.

In round 3, Jeff and Kevin get holes in 1 again. Jordan gets a 5. Russell hits the hole, bounces out, and scores 7. He has been eliminated. His prize is a phone call from home. He trades it for the Hawaiian vacation. Both he and Natalie are happy with this trade. He didn’t do it for her. He wants to give the trip to his parents. Go ahead. Keep crying.

In round 4, Jeff gets another hole in 1. Like the last round, Kevin bounces out, this time hitting 5. Jordan gets a 4. Kevin has been eliminated. Jordan tells him he’s safe. His prize is $5,000.

The final round is between Jordan and Jeff. It really doesn’t matter which one wins. Lydia tells Jordan she’ll get her vote in the final two, not Jeff. Jordan scores a 4. Jeff agrees to throw the competition for her. He hits it to the side. Jordan wins HOH. Jeff’s prize is a spa experience, which he trades for the vacation. Jordan has won a Captain Unitard suit, which she trades for the HOH key.

Now that that’s over with, Lydia starts to act more and more like Chima. It would be funny if half the cast quit. Her plan is to yell all week and get them to evict her. It’s a really good thing that Big Brother just gave her all that alcohol. Ranting over, it’s time to go in the diary room and cry.

Jordan is looking to protect Jeff and Michele, an interesting second choice to protect.

Nominations
Michele is safe.
Jeff is safe.
Kevin is safe.
Russell is safe.

Lydia and Natalie have been nominated for eviction. The plan is to eliminate Natalie and weaken the other team (there’s another team still?). This is Natalie’s third nomination in 5 days, surely a record.

Big Brother 11 Episode 17

Turning the entire week into a mockery/great big waste of time, the producers voted out Jessie in Big Brother 11 Episode 16. Then Michele won HOH, putting her in the position of actually having to pick a side.

Big Brother is running about 20 minutes behind due to the golf overrun. A live blog will begin as soon as 60 Minutes is over.

We’re half way through the season, yet Michele has not made either a friend nor an ally, but in doing so, she has also not made any enemies either. This week, she may well have to make some enemies. Her only somewhat useful offer for an alliance is Chima’s women’s alliance, which would leave her the opportunity to target the couple or the bully. Since Jessie’s gone, though, the easiest thing may be to just keep the momentum the way the producers have forced it to go.

Chima’s containing herself. We know that won’t last very long.

Jeff says that Jessie and Natalie were walking to the finals unless somebody did something. Next time try winning a challenge for a change or maybe actually playing better if you feel that strongly about it.

Natalie assumes that Michele’s going to put her up. Chima is having difficulty believing that because Russell told her that she needs to be medicated and is just as bad as Ronnie said.

Russell wants to try to start over with Michele. That’ll last pretty much as long as she’s in power, and then he’ll flip out at her again.

The three girls who were crying over Jessie’s eviction open up his wine bottle. Kevin will just sit there and grin and bear it. Well, not so much grinning as rolling his eyes. Jeff, Jordan, and Russell want no part of this and eat outside. It is a little creepy.

Michele has decided she wants Chima to go home because she’s the biggest threat. To the guys. You’d have to be a complete idiot to think Chima’s a threat to the women. She wants Russell gone in the worst way, and she’s the one pushing the women’s alliance because she wants a woman to win. It’s entirely possible Michele is a complete idiot, though.

The contestants break into four teams of two for the have/have not competition: Jeff and Jordan, Michele and Russell, Natalie and Chima, and Lydia and Kevin. There you have basically the pairs of the house. Michele has essentially made it so she’s stuck with Russell at this point. Good luck to her. It’s a gross eating challenge in which they must correctly place casseroles in their correct locations. They will work together as a group to make sure they can all eat every day. Chima’s got a sour look on her face the whole time. In the middle of the challenge, she tells Russell not to look at her. They do not win food for Monday but do match for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They will be getting the BBQ grill and hot showers but no steak and lobster dinner.

Russell wants to know if Jordan likes Jeff as a boyfriend. If he lived in Charlotte, maybe. He proposes to her, and she says yes. In like 23 states, it’s pretty much official.

Natalie doesn’t think Michele would make an enemy in this house if Russell went home. She’s right. He has no real allies, and he’s attacked everybody at one point or another (then he apologizes when they get the power, and goes right back to attacking them the next weeek). On the other hand, if she targets either side, that whole side will now see her as a target, albeit perhaps less of a target than some other people.

It’s time for another stupid vote. The choices are cucumbers and carp, mince meat and marshmallows, and churros and chitlins. I’ve asked this before, and I’ll ask again: they actually pay people to come up with this stuff?

Michele says she’s basing her nominations on who would take her to the final two. Answer: nobody. Jeff and Jordan are taking each other, Natalie and Chima are taking each other, and Lydia and Kevin are taking each other. The only other lone wolf is Russell. She’s viewed merely as a vote, at best.

Nominations
Jordan is safe.
Jeff is safe.
Russell is safe.
Kevin is safe.
Lydia is safe.

Natalie and Chima have been nominated for eviction. She sees Chima going to the final two but not taking her. Natalie’s the pawn. Chima doesn’t care any more. To be fair, she shouldn’t. She had things planned out exactly how she wanted, then the producers intentionally stacked the deck against her, kicking out her closest ally in the process.

BB 11 Spoilers

Big Brother 11 Episode 16

Kevin won the power of veto in Big Brother 11 Episode 15, guaranteeing his own safety for the week but not using it to save his friend Lydia, who remains on the block against Russell.

The biggest question of the night is whether Jeff will use his coup d’etat power, and whether I will have to use the R word for the first time this season.

Jordan believes that Jessie and Natalie are trying to be BFF with her and Jeff. Scandalous.

Russell is still working to get Jessie on his side. It’s not working. The response I’m looking for here is “Duh.” Russell’s surprised that Jessie is mad at him for not picking him in veto. He made that move strategically, knowing that it would alienate Jessie from him. It’s hard to feel sorry for this guy who just simply doesn’t get the game.

So then Russell goes to Michele, the girl who he called a nutcase 4 or 5 days before. When Jessie jumps into the conversation, Russell starts swearing and yelling. How unusual.

Chima’s 99.9% sure Jeff has the mystery power, and she intends to create drama directed at him should he use his power to save Russell, a complete wild card who isn’t on anyone’s side but his own.

Having made it to the half way point, the remaining members of the house will either be in the final two or a member of the jury.

Chima does not regret what she’s said about her arch nemesis Russell because he started it.

Does the holder of the mystery power wish to use it? Jeff stands up. He would like to remove Lydia from the block. Natalie goes up in her place. He would also like to take Russell off the block. In his place goes Jessie. Predictable. He’s putting them up because they’ve run the house. They’ve run the house because they’ve outplayed him.

Neither Chima nor Jeff will be allowed to vote. That brings us down to 5 voters, which means that only 3 votes are needed instead of 4.

Votes
Lydia: Natalie
Jordan: Jessie
Kevin: Jessie
Michele: Jessie
Russell: Natalie

Interesting that Russell would try to keep Jessie around, and obviously Kevin’s continuing to do as he wants regardless of what his offbeat partner wants. By a vote of 3-2, Jessie has been evicted from the Big Brother house.

With that, now’s the time for my rant of the evening. I haven’t used the R word since a couple weeks before the season started when I called Big Brother All Stars rigged (and it was… HOH do over anyone?), but now’s the time to do so for this season. Love him or hate him (and most people hate him), Jessie played the game, and he played it well. So for him to be taken out by the producers handing a power this great to someone just because they want to keep the fan favorites in the game as long as possible isn’t quite sitting right with me. While this can be blamed on America because it was a public vote, the producers knew it would save the most popular person in the house, which was exactly the goal. If this were the result of a competition, even one that heavily favored one person, it’d be more excuseable, but not when someone becomes HOH for not doing anything at all. Adding insult to insult, Jessie was kicked off Big Brother 10 by America, too.

Rant over for now, back to the show. The HOH competition is based on previous competitions. Chima and Jeff will both be participating in it.

Kevin and Lydia go first. Kevin answers correctly to eliminate Lydia.

Kevin picks Jeff and Russell to go against each other. The interesting thing about this competition is that the players are likely to pick two people who they would like to see eliminated. Russell answers incorrectly and is eliminated.

Jeff picks Chima and Natalie to face off. Chima answers correctly to eliminate Natalie.

Chima picks Jeff and Jordan to go against each other. Jeff answers correctly to eliminate Jordan.

Jeff chooses Kevin and Chima to face off. Has anybody realized Michele is also in the game? Apparently not. Kevin is correct to eliminate Chima.

Michele and Jeff go next. Michele takes a while to answer, but it’s still fast enough to remain in the game. Jeff has been eliminated.

Michele stays up there to go against Kevin for the final round. Michele is correct and wins HOH.

This is quite interesting because Michele is really not on any side. The only remote shot at an alliance she’s formed is her girl power alliance. With Jessie out the door, that makes even more sense now, and it’s a perfect opportunity to target Russell because he hates her and Jeff, who just broke up the other couple, which should lead to a quick elimination of either himself or Jordan.

Natalie thanks everybody who voted for her to stay. Nobody voted for her to stay, though. They just voted to get rid of Jessie. Her staying was a consequence they were willing to live with.

BB 11 Spoilers

Big Brother 11 Episode 15

In the likely to be completely pointless Big Brother 11 Episode 14, Chima nominated Russell and Lydia. Tonight’s episode actually matters, though, for just one reason. There are only three people guaranteed safety this week regardless of who’s nominated: the HOH winner, the person who was handed the coup d’etat by the producers, and the veto winner.

Lydia believes Russell is the real target, but she’s worried that Russell will be able to act nice enough to get off the hook. She wants to stir pot, telling him it must suck that he got nominated by his friends.

Big Brother tells Jeff to go to the diary room. Jessie thinks he’s got the power. Natalie doesn’t think he’s got it, and even if he does, he’s not stupid enough to use it.

Russell’s plan now is to get on the other team because he has no team any more. He was never ever going to go after Jeff and Jordan, not even when he was being a big baby about how bad Jeff’s spelling is. He also would like to try to mend fences with Michele, who doesn’t trust his big mouth. How’s he going to get her on his side? By calling her a liar.

This forces her to run upstairs to Natalie and Chima, who continues to push her girl power alliance, which will require the elimination of Russell and Jeff.

Having just gotten done telling Michele that Ronnie was completely wrong and should have never said what he did, Russell’s new opinion is that Ronnie was dead on about her. Also, she’s crazy and needs to be medicated.

Because there are nine people left in the house, that leaves three people unable to even have a chance at protecting themselves from the mystery power.

Chima chooses Natalie to play in veto.
Russell chooses Jeff as houseguest’s choice.
Lydia chooses Kevein as houseguests choice.

That leaves Michele, Jessie, and Jordan out in the cold, although Jordan has nothing to worry about. Jessie views Russell’s pick as the official end of the road for their alliance.

The houseguests get dressed up as chickens. Their job is to rescue the eggs by getting them up the fence, through the hole, and across the sizzling bacon. The first player to get 12 eggs will win the power of veto. This competition looks like it could go on and on and on. Kevin is the first to score a point. Natalie is the first to drop an egg. Russell and Jeff score. Lydia follows. Natalie just keeps breaking eggs and swearing at them. Kevin has taken the lead with two eggs. Russell and Kevin stay close. In the end and by mere seconds, Kevin wins the challenge.

Logically, Kevin will use this power to save his closest ally. He’s not so sure that’s a good idea. Will it create enemies?

Russell warns Jessie that voting him out will cost him the game. Might have been more convincing before he chose Jeff to play for him in POV. His suggestion: get Jeff nominated. Jessie has no intention of doing any such thing. Rather, he wants to use this information to make it clear that Jeff can’t trust Russell. He also tells Jordan the same thing, but she doesn’t trust him. While trusting Jessie is not a good idea, trusting Russell is an even worse idea.

If Jordan gets HOH next week, who should she put up next week? More than anything, Jeff would like to see Natalie on the block against Jessie. Heat of the moment comment, or overly predictable indication of things to come on Thursday?

While he’s pretending with the rest of the house (Michele notwithstanding), Russell continues to be a jerk to Chima, as if that will win him friends. Then we get a montage of the people Russell’s picked on. Chima won’t sit by idly or start crying. Instead, she’ll yell at the same annoying volume as he does.

Lydia is 100% convinced that Kevin won’t use the veto. Like Russell, nobody is looking out for her. If Kevin wanted Russell (and consequently the rest of the house) to know this information, he would have told them.

Kevin’s fear is that Chima will be angry if he uses the veto. She backs this up, saying she will no longer trust him.

Knowing it would take a miracle (and even that wouldn’t be enough) for Kevin to use the veto on him, Russell takes the opportunity to get in a jab at Kevin at the veto ceremony: Lydia’s his friend. Kevin has decided to use the veto on no one. He hopes this doesn’t put a strain on their relationship.

Aside from the coup d’etat holder, Russell’s the only person looking forward to it. His game’s pretty much over because he’s played it so poorly, but now someone who’s played the game well may be in danger instead.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of Big Brother 11 Episode 16, which airs Thursday at 8/7c on CBS.

Big Brother 11 Episode 14

After Ronnie’s eviction in Big Brother 11 Episode 13, Chima won HOH. Perhaps more importantly, in a competition better known as popularity contest with the producers playing favorites, Jeff won the coup d’etat, a power that may make tonight’s episode completely and totally pointless.

Lydia has realized that Jessie may have voted against her, meaning that her hitting on him didn’t get her where she wanted it to get her.

Russell’s not happy that Chima, Jessie, and Natalie did not do as they were told. And he’s even less happy that Chima has won HOH. If he doesn’t get nominated, it will take a miracle. As for Lydia, she’s ready to get nominated again.

Jeff is confident that he will use the power, just because he has it, even if two people he doesn’t like are on the block. The others are right: don’t make additional enemies if you don’t need to.

Natalie and Jessie want Russell to stay because he’s on their side. Is he, though?

Russell tells Chima she shouldn’t nominate an ally… like he did last week.

Listening to Jordan thinking can be painful, as we’re learning as time goes by, but it’s amusing. Chima, however, takes us in a completely different direction with a sad story. She was attacked by a serial killer, but she tries to put a positive spin on it about how she fought and survived. She hopes to use this story to empower women, and perhaps this is part of why she wants a woman to win, even if it’s to the detriment of her own game.

The doorbell rings. So who’s this guy anyway? It’s Jeremy Piven. I’ll take Jeff’s word for it that he is a celebrity. He’s there for a luxury competition. The winning team will get to see a screening of his new movie, The Goods. Really? The real prize is that one member of the winning team will get cash. These used car salespersons will need to sell the most used cars. Jeff, Kevin, Lydia, and Michele are the ties team; Jordan, Russell, Jessie, and Natalie are the shirts team. Each prop is worth a certain number of points. The team that packs the most points into their car wins. To raise the stakes, one member of the winning team will have a chance at a big payday, while the losing team will become the have nots for the week. Chima bets on the shirt team. If they win, she wins. Russell says you have to be strategic. Kevin doesn’t care… he’s just grabbing whatever he can get his hands on. Jessie is grabbing the items that the other team leaves lying around. The tie team has sold 399 cars. The shirt team has sold 410 cars, giving Jordan, Russell, Jessie, and Natalie the win. Jordan takes credit for the win because she was trying to stuff the teddy bear that made the difference into the car the whole time. Russell gets the highest check, so he wins $10,000. Having bet on the right team, Chima joins in the victory.

Lydia does not hold any ill will against Jessie for voting against her, but she’ll need to think twice about trying to get near him as long as Natalie’s in the house. When Lydia puts her on the block, it’s his fault. At the end of the day, if they’re really friends, she should have their backs. Just like they had her back last week? Seeing the tension, Chima wouldn’t mind seeing Lydia go home.

Now it’s time for another stupid vote: jalapeno peppers and pepperoni, squeeze cheese and kimchi, or sweet pickles and anchovies. The sad thing is they actually pay people to come up with this stuff.

Lydia and Russell have been nominated for eviction. Russell was obvious after last week. Lydia has been nominated in order to avoid her voting to keep him around. Russell is going to try to win people over with kindness. That would be new. Jessie’s worried about the unicorn coming and telling him he’s gone. Wait for it. Through no fault of his own, having played a good game thus far, he could very well be walking out the door on Thursday thanks to the power of favoritism.
