Survivor: Millennials Vs. Gen X Episode 12

The battle lines were drawn right down the middle in Survivor: Millennials Vs. Gen X Episode 11. Adam convinced David to throw away his idol and play it for the wrong person because the other side obviously lied to him about who they were voting for, resulting in a tie. Neither side would budge, leading to a rock draw and ultimately Jessica’s elimination.

Their loved ones join them at the reward challenge. Adam sets their minds at ease that he won’t use his advantage in this challenge. I’m not sure he can even really use his advantage at all because it’s a curse. Stealing someone’s reward is something the jury is likely remember, and it will result in little gain. Reward is a BBQ back at camp. The challenge requires them to climb through obstacles while attached to a rope. Jay takes the early lead on the climbing and then retains it on every obstacle after that. He wants Will and his mom to join himself and his sister. Then he also chooses Sunday and her husband. Lastly, he selects a just about on his knees begging Adam and his brother, saying he respects him for not being an idiot and playing his advantage. Adam does arguably need this more than anyone else to hear news about how his mother with cancer is doing.

While on the reward, Adam gives Jay his advantage. Well, that is actually a very smart play. Nobody wants this stupid advantage, so this is a good way to get mileage out of it without pissing anybody off.

Will has decided he’s tired of playing how he has been playing. He offers David new hope and another shot at getting rid of Zeke. He thinks Zeke is a threat, but mostly he wants to make a move for the sake of making a move so that he looks good to the jury.

The immunity challenge is just a matter of holding a bar using handles. David is out quickly. Hannah is next, then Will and Bret and Sunday. Zeke is the next one to drop as they are falling quickly. It’s been less than 4 minutes. Ken is next. Jay drops. Adam wins immunity.

The lack of scrambling convinces Zeke that something must be up. He figures David must have another idol, making their new target Ken. Unlike the others who just assume they have a chance now, Ken lets Will know he is very suspicious of him. Then Ken pulls Jay aside to confront him about whether this is true. If Will needed a reason to not trust Ken, that should do it.

In the midst of this, a new potential target surfaces, Hannah.

After preventing the idol from being played for Hannah last time, Adam uses his idol this time. It is for Hannah.

With 3 votes, Zeke has been voted off the island. If Ken had been voted out, he would have deserved it for trying to blow up his own game, but in the end, Will decided to switch sides, though that didn’t even matter because of the hidden idol. Adam one upped Will’s quest to prove he is actually playing.
