Survivor: Millennials Vs. Gen X Episode 13

Will decided to stop coasting and joined the other side to get rid of Zeke in Survivor: Millennials Vs. Gen X Episode 12.

Bret and Sunday have decided that Will, Jay, and Dave are the biggest threats, thus making the already fluid alliances even more fluid.

For the immunity challenge, they will stack discs on poles and transport them across balance beams. They can take as many as they are willing to try carrying. Then they move to a second phase where they must carry the discs through a maze on sideways poles. Lastly, they roll them into a target. Several people are close as they move to the second phase. Jay, Bret, and David pull ahead of the others. Jay wins immunity.

In a secret scene that I’m not sure why was not shown last week, Will described his strategy. He doesn’t really care about these alliances. He wants to be a pendulum and go back and forth to take out the targets on each side. Nobody can really trust him, but he can work with people who are non-threatening like Adam, Sunday, and Bret, who ironically want to get rid of him.

With 5 votes, Will has been voted off the island. He was more worried about what would happen in the final two/three than actually getting there.

Now for the second immunity challenge. They must solve a block puzzle, which they can work on as long as the balls they roll on a peg maze do not drop. If the ball reaches the bottom, they must wait while it slowly works its way to the ground. Ken’s closing in on winning, and eventually Adam starts helping him by telling him when to return and get his ball. Ken wins immunity. I don’t think he really needed Adam’s help, but Jay is not happy.

David proposes a split vote to flush out an idol or get rid of Bret. Hannah counters with the elimination of Sunday, who she fears would make too appealing a goat to drag to the finals. Adam is concerned with a Jay immunity run, which is reasonable because Jay keeps winning or at least coming close, but his alternative split vote is David.

After warning Jay that he had better use his idol, Adam reveals to him that his mom has cancer, which so far he has not told anyone else but would be useful to have a jury know. If nothing else, it helps build trust between the two, or at least Jay says that Adam is no longer a weasel.

Jay reluctantly plays his idol as he was warned to do.

With 4 votes, Sunday has been voted off the island. Just about everybody got something out of that vote, as the last remaining hidden immunity idol is gone.
