No More Free Starbucks Coffee

Looks like the folks over at Starbucks weren’t to fond of the idea of potentially losing a few million dollars by giving out free coffee.
The Free Starbucks Iced drink deal worked for today, but it looks like the word spread a little to quickly and a little to much and Starbucks made an official press release today saying the Free Starbucks Coffee Coupons will no longer be honored:
An email offering a free Starbucks iced coffee was distributed to a limited group of Starbucks partners (employees) in the Southeast United States on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 with instructions to forward to their group of friends and family. Unfortunately, it has been redistributed beyond the original intent and modified beyond Starbucks control. Effective immediately, this offer will no longer be valid at any Starbucks locations.
We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience as a result of this offer.
Sorry folks, I hope you got your free starbucks coffee while the offer was good. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them screwing up again, cause this sure was a gooder while it lasted.
