TV Shows that Rock: Entourage!

entourage

In the wake of all my favorite reality TV shows quickly coming to an end, and my favorite TV show, Heroes, going on vacation for Christmas, I had to find something to fill the void in my soul. What did I find, you ask? Well HBO’s hit series Entourage, of course.

I’ve never watched Entourage before, asides from the part of an episode I managed to catch a few weeks back, but the little I did see I liked, so my mission began on the weekend. I managed to get my hands on seasons 1, 2 and 3 of Entourage, which is wicked. It is airing on a local TV station in Vancouver, but it’s a sin to start watching a TV series mid way through a season, let alone mid way through the second season!

Sadly, I watched the entire first season Monday night and half of the second season last night and I have got to say, Entourage rocks! I never would have thought working in public relations (PR) would have had such an effect on me, but it definitely has. Not to take away from the fact that Entourage is a great show, but before I got into PR I never even would have given it a chance, strictly based on what it’s about, and man am I glad that I did. Sometimes it pays off to try new things, and this is definitely one of those times! Only problem now is, I don’t have enough episodes to last me until Heroes starts again, and I’m becoming nearly as addicted to Entourage as I am to Heroes. I think I need professional help…

Heroes Withdrawal! What do I Watch Now?

heroes recaps and gossip

What has NBC turned me into! I’ve become a puppet, bending and swaying to their relentless will! Like countless other people, I have become horribly addicted to NBC’s super-mega-ultra-smash hit Heroes and all of it’s unparalleled awesomeness, and having to go without my favorite show until January 22nd leaves a gaping void of a hole in my soul that is in desperate need of filling. Now, I know that all comes across as a little dramatic, but if you’re a fan of the show, than you know exactly what I’m talking about.

I’ve been in a snappy mood since I got home from work and now I finally realized what it was that was making me angry. I KNEW that I was going to have to go without my weekly Heroes fix and my body went into shock and instantly flashed into withdrawals worse that any coke whore could imagine. Sadly, my only remedy was to blow the dust off the TV guide and start praying. To my complete and utter lack of surprise, Heroes turns out to be the best thing on TV on Monday night’s. Nooooooooooo! Horror of all horrors, what ever will I do!?

Alas, I must endeavor to find another means of gratification and, though nothing shall compare to the wonder that is Heroes, I must not relent. Sadly, the best I could come up with was:

I know, I know, it’s not much, but we’re going to have to make due until January 22nd when Heroes makes it’s return. Maybe we’ll get lucky and there will be a few good Christmas specials on, on Monday nights for the next few weeks. Somebody kill me now… please.

On the plus side, maybe some Heroes pictures will make the sting a little duller. Check out the fantastic pictures over at Rickey.org:

Heroes: Episode 11 “Fallout”

December 5th, 2006 – Well, I have some good news, and some bad news.

The good news: Last night’s episode 11 of NBC’s Heroes was fantastic! It was one of the best episodes yet and brought all of the Heroes together even more. It is without a doubt that Heroes is the best show on TV right now, which leads me to the bad news.

The bad news: We don’t get another episode of Heroes until January 1st! Because the “fall season” is ending for TV stations and November sweeps is over, the folks at NBC have decided to keep us hanging in suspense until January 1st before we’ll get our next glimpse of a new Heroes episode. How lame is that?! They air one of the best episodes to date and then cut us off for just shy of a month. That’s not right man, I need my fix! What am I supposed to watch on Monday night’s now? My life will have no meaning until January 1st.

Okay, Okay, a little over dramatic, but you get the point. If you’ve been a dedicated fan of Heroes the entire season, such as I have, you’re probably none to happy to learn you’ll have to wait another month for the next episode either. Without a doubt it will be worth it, but that’s so far away.

In the meantime, you can always pass time by watching the last 11 episodes of Heroes on NBC’s website. They’re nice enough to offer to full episodes online, only problem is, if you’re anywhere other than in the US, such as I am, they won’t let you watch them, for whatever stupid reason. So, if you’re in the US, enjoy the old episodes, if not, you’re out of luck, just like I am, until January 1st, so mark the day on your calender!

And just for you hardcore fans out there, you can see a preview video of episode 12 “Godsend” after the jump, enjoy!

Heroes “Fallout” Preview

If, like me, you are addicted to the glorious awesomeness that is NBC’s Heroes, then you will know doubt appreciate this little 5-min preview video of tonight’s episode, entitled “Fallout.”

If you don’t want any spoilers, don’t watch the preview. It doesn’t give anything major away, but as usual, if you’re a purist you probably don’t want to know anything about the episode going into it. One thing is for sure though, this season is really starting to come together, and all of the Heroes are finally learning about the others and their abilities. Tonight’s “Fallout” episode is sure to please, so don’t miss it!

Heroes: Save the Cheerleader, Save the World!

nbc heroes

Do not forget! Tonight will be the biggest and most important episode of NBC’s hit TV series “Heroes” to date!

I have been addicted to this show since day one and even had a minor addiction to it before it came out strictly due to the anticipation, and Heroes hasn’t failed me yet! By far the best non-reality TV show airing right now, and quite possibly better than any of the reality TV shows airing too. What can I say, I love Heroes and tonight is going to be a huge episode!

Save the Cheerleader, Save the World! Weeks of mystery, planning and plot development will all culminate in one mythic piece of TV genius tonight at 9/8c on NBC as our Heroes try to save the doomed cheerleader from extinction.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to see an episode of a TV show before. What I really love about this is the fact that they’re not waiting for the season finale to kick the big stories into gear. It’s going to be an awesome episode, make sure you set the TiVo or VCR if you’re not going to be around to watch it, because this will be one to remember!

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

In the spirit of Halloween, I’ve picked up a few costume videos through-out the day that are prime examples of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The Good:

The Transforming Transformer Costume – This guy/gal made a fully functional original transformers costume. The video shows as she transforms from Autobot to Car and back again. This is one of the best costumes I have seen this year by far, the effort that got put into this one is awesome.

The Bad:

Regis and Kelly do… each other? – Here we have a video montage of various costumes Regis and Kelly have worn. I have to admit, some of them aren’t bad, some of them are even clever, but some of them are just bad. Kelly as Regis, Regis as Kelly, Regis as Simon Cowel, Kelly as Paula Abdul, it’s kind of weird, really.

The Ugly:

The View does Royalty – The View in and of itself is a horrible, horrible thing, so it doesn’t take much to make it worse then it already is, but they succeeded. All the cast members are decked out as different members or the royal family through-out history. Queen Elizabeth, Marie Antoinette, ect. Given, the costumes are really quite nice, but the fact alone who is in them makes them ugly. The best part of this video comes at the end when a snarky comment about the strange lack of Star Jones is made, ha! Star Jones sucks, I’m so happy she’s been out of the media for a while now. Sadly, I just know she’ll be back. She’s like the turd that won’t flush.

Have a great night!

Bill O’Reilly vs Dave Letterman: Round 2

In case you didn’t know, or didn’t get a chance to watch it, Bill O’Reilly of Fox’s “The O’Reilly Factor” made his second appearance on the David Letterman show on Friday night, and it was a gooder. I never had a chance to watch the first time they met, but I managed to find some clips of it on YouTube and I wish I had seen it.

My favorite line from the whole thing is from Dave when O’Reilly asked him if he wanted the US to win in Iraq or not and called it an easy question. Dave snapped back saying “It’s not easy for me because I’m thoughtful.”
