Prison Break Season 3 Episode 10

After two months on hiatus, Prison Break Season 3 Episode 9 was the first of five new episodes. General Zavala managed to get Susan’s name out of Michael, along with a location of where she would be. She played along as if Zavala had the upper hand, just long enough to take the opportunity to kill him. Meanwhile, inside Sona, the struggle for power continued. Sammy managed to get ahold of a gun thanks to Sucre unintentionally assisting him, a pretty good advantage to have.

Lechero is afraid Scofield’s a hero now, since he survived the box, or so he says. As such, he refuses Sammy’s request to kill him.

Mahone gets a picture of his son in the mail.

Whistler informs Scofield T-Bag’s coming with them. Mahone wants in, too. Michael may as well just accept they’re all in this together whether they want to be or not. Now that last week’s drama’s done, it’s time to start digging again, at least that’s the plan. Michael says it’ll be two days.

Sammy pulls out his gun and lets Lechero know he’s done. Then he lets everybody else know he’s in charge. When nobody objects, he offers a case of rum for whoever brings him Michael.

Lincoln’s trying to find out what he can about Gary Miller.

T-Bag wants to take Sammy out. He doesn’t want to risk his own neck, but he’s got no problem risking Bellick, asking that he chicken foot Sammy and cheat again like he did last time.

Sofia doesn’t want to turn her back on Whistler, even if she doesn’t exactly trust him. She makes Lincoln give her his word that he’ll be okay.

Sucre goes to meet Susan and tells her Lincoln’s not playing any games. She tells him she believes him, then she gives him a cashier’s check for $25,000, with the other half payable later.

Whistler tells Scofield he was supposed to kill him but didn’t. So now apparently he’s supposed to be grateful.

Bellick approaches Sammy asking for the chicken foot. After he does this, though, he realizes he doesn’t have any acetone left, so it looks like the first plan’s out the window. He pretends he made a mistake and wasn’t actually talking about Sammy, but it doesn’t get him anywhere.

Lincoln and Sofia buy some explosives.

Mahone, Scofield, and Whistler use the distraction of the fight as an excuse to come out from digging. They’re quickly stopped by Sammy’s goons. Their location is no longer secret, but at least they’re able to get back into it, well, two of them anyway. Just as Sammy’s about to kill Bellick, they call for him. They threaten to kill Whistler if he doesn’t help them get through the door. Not at all intimidated, Whistler’s request to Michael is simply to not open the door.

Sucre doesn’t bother telling Lincoln the part about how he’s got cash in his pocket. Susan knows something’s up, and she tells Sucre she knows where he sent the money and that if he doesn’t cooperate, she’ll kill Maricruz.

Sammy and his boys get Lechero and go ask him for the combination. Then Michael opens the door. He offers Sammy a deal to go with them. Sammy agrees but not to the part of going with them. He wants their plans all to himself. Michael wants them to take Whistler with them. Obviously a setup. Sammy pokes his head in the tunnel, which comes crashing down around him. Then Lechero kills his goons with his gun.

Bellick wants in, too, and if not, he’ll blow their cover, so T-Bag accepts. McGrady wants to go with them as well, but Michael tells him he doesn’t want any part of it.

Sofia does some digging and finds a briefcase. As we’ve seen before, the show ends with us wondering what’s inside.

Prison Break Season 3 Episode 9

It’s been two months since Prison Break Season 3 Episode 8, but now Prison Break’s back with all new episodes. Previously, Mahone went to court and tried to get a plea deal, but he was a wreck without his pills, so they sent him back to Sona. As he was headed back, we finished up the first half of the season with Michael Scofield being escorted out of the prison, after he prevented the Company from breaking out Whistler on their own.

General Zavala brings Scofield into his office. Scofield says he had nothing to do with what happened, which is true for a change. He doesn’t give any answers as to who actually was responsible. They put him in a box to see if they can sweat the answers out.

Sofia and Lincoln are chatting, and up pulls Susan, to grab Link and tell Sofia to get lost. Susan wants to keep Lincoln motivated. She takes him to LJ and gives them one minute to speak to each other, a brief exchange about how “that bitch is crazy” and the next time they meet, he’ll get him out of this.

Mahone’s back. He says that, all things considered, he probably does deserve to be in there. He doesn’t get any drugs, but Lang does give him her father’s good luck charm.

Out in the yard, Bellick and T-Bag see someone vomit. Bellick’s ordered to clean it up. This doesn’t sit well with him, so he shoves the guy. This won’t end well.

Having accepted money for sneaking something into the prison before, Sucre’s stuck doing it again, this time for no money. When he gets there, Michael asks him to just go and not come back.

Lechero and Whistler are trying to break out on their own. It’s not long before they realize this is stupid and pointless.

Scofield tries to convince Zavala he can’t stop them. Zavala tells the story about how he captured Lechero, someone everybody else thought they couldn’t stop. That’s enough to convince him to talk. He spills the beans, but Zavala’s not buying the truth again.

After Zavala’s done some research, he finds that there’s some truth to the story. He believes the other inmate should be able to corroborate it and demands a name. In return, Michael wants him to locate LJ.

Sofia goes to the prison to confront Whistler about what she saw at the apartment. He claims that it was all his plan for them to be together. She doesn’t know how she can believe anything he says.

Of course, once Zavala brings Whistler back, he says nothing and plays dumb regardless of a claim that the story has been verified and all that’s needed is a name of who’s in charge. With some convincing, he claims that he’s working with Scofield… and only Scofield. They’re both brought into the room to discuss it together, and finally he does give up a name.

T-Bag’s strategy this time is to get Mahone to kill Sammy. In return, he’ll cover his drugs.

Sucre’s had an argument with Lincoln, asking for money to continue helping him. Having overheard this, Susan takes advantage. She offers Sucre $50,000 to go back to him and pretend like nothing happened and to continue working with him for a few days.

Michael calls Lincoln to find out when his next meeting with Susan is. With that, he’s able to find out the location to send Zavala to.

Because of the puke incident, Bellick gets a chicken foot. He approaches Sammy to get some assistance. Of course, he gets nowhere. Lechero overhears this and isn’t happy.

Turns out Sucre and Lincoln’s fight was just staged. They were setting Susan up.

Mahone’s not interested in T-Bag’s offer.

Lincoln’s meeting with Susan, and as planned, the general comes and takes her away.

Susan plays dumb, too. They’re doing a good job of that tonight. So now it’s time to torture her as well. Unlike the men, though, she’s not going to be that easy. Despite the fact that she’s choking, she still won’t talk. Whistler and Scofield come in, and Whistler says yes she ordered the prison escape. She claims to be just the babysitter, that she watches the kid and knows nothing about a breakout. She offers to take them to him.

Michael wants to know if she killed Sara, and she says she doesn’t know what he’s talking about, to which he responds, “I’m coming for you.”

Bellick wins his chicken foot fight, even if he did cheat. T-Bag may have himself a new target.

Susan leads them to where LJ is, or at least where he was. When they get there, she kills Zavala and his guard. She calls for a ride, then her next call is to Lincoln.

It turns out the guy Sucre’s been sneaking packages in for is helping out Sammy. He wants Sammy to take control and thinks Lechero’s days are numbered.

Scofield and Whistler are taken back into the prison, since the general has been found dead. So now it’s back to the original plan: break out of prison.

Unsurprisingly, inside the cigar box is a gun. Now Sammy’s got a way to take power.

Prison Break Season 3 Episode 8

With the two hour block last week, you probably thought someone was going to get out of prison in Prison Break Season 3 episode 7. Try as they might, that didn’t happen. Well, Mahone arranged to be moved from prison, but nobody actually broke out. While Michael and Whistler did get out the window, the weather dependent plans were spoiled by some clouds. Lechero, afraid he was losing power, told Scofield he was going to get him out of there whether he liked it or not. I don’t think that will be a problem.

McGrady gets dressed up for a visit from his father.

Lincoln tells Michael LJ’s still alive and that they have 4 more days. Michael’s upset Lincoln used him.

Susan’s told that it needs to be ended today. Bang and burn. She says that it should be reconsidered, but she gets ignored/threatened. She informs Whistler of the plan and tells him he’s either going to cooperate and be ready by 5, or she’ll leave him there to rot. It’s pretty clear from the hectic pace of the planning stages they’re not as prepared for this as they probably should be.

Sofia gets a call from someone who says he’s Whistler’s landlord. She goes to visit him.

Mahone’s still crazy and flashing back to Oscar Shales, who he killed and buried to prevent some lawyer from getting him off unfairly. He tells Lang he can’t testify in his current state, so he needs some drugs.

Michael seems to know something’s up with Whistler but can’t quite put his finger on it. Nothing to be worried about, though. Just the small matter of Whistler wanting him dead, at Susan’s request.

Lechero reveals a secret buried underneath Sona, an underground tunnel that had been used to transport prisoners. After the riots, the tunnel was blown up. Scofield suggests they can’t dig out, but that they can dig up.

While visiting Whistler’s landlord, Sofia starts to snoop around. For starters, his name’s not even James Whistler. The call was intercepted, allowing Susan to find out where she was headed, so she shows up to tell her not to get in the way.

Whistler pretends to be claustrophobic, but Michael’s not dumb enough to buy it. The fact that Whistler keeps looking at his watch isn’t helping matters any.

Lincoln and Sucre rent a cabin and come up with a plan that involves recording gunshots.

Good thing Michael knows McGrady’s father’s coming today. He asks him to have his dad pass a message along to Lincoln. McGrady does as he’s asked. The message is don’t go home for dinner, a code they used when they were younger, meaning to watch his back. While McGrady’s visiting with his father, Whistler also gets a visitor, Sofia. He asks her to stay away from Lincoln and to just go home and stay there. She asks about the apartment, but he denies knowing anything.

Disregarding the warning from Whistler, Sofia’s first stop is Lincoln. Susan, who of course is having her monitored, considers this a violation of her instructions, and says to take them all out. Lincoln breaks the news to Sofia that the passport with another name is proof her boyfriend’s a liar. Lincoln calls Lechero’s phone, which Sammy answers. The men watching Sofia pull a gun on her, but Lincoln pulls one on them in return. They beat up one guy, but the other captures Sofia and tells him to put down the gun like he did with LJ. Instead of dropping the gun, this time, he shoots the guy. Nice aim.

Mahone’s been dragged off to court, too quickly to get his drugs. He testifies that he killed as he was told so he could protect his family. Then he asks to go home.

Michael continues to get more suspicious about Whistler. He gets a message from Lechero to call his brother, and during the conversation, he realizes that the Company’s breaking Whistler out on their own and doesn’t need them any more. Whistler climbs on a roof and waits to be picked up by a chopper, which is firing on the military men standing by. Scofield gets there in time to start kicking his ass. Whistler manages to jump on the helicopter’s ladder, and Michael grabs onto him and holds on. Eventually, he manages to force him to let go, and both of them fall onto the roof of a building.

Here we go again. The alarm sounds, and all prisoners are forced out into the yard and on their knees.

Mahone’s told that they have to take him back to Sona. I guess this is supposed to be a surprise.

Scofield is the first one to be confronted. He claims to be innocent. He’s informed he causes too many problems in Sona, so he shouldn’t be there. They escort him out of the prison.

Prison Break Season 3 Episode 7

In Prison Break Season 3 episode 6, they continued to prepare for the breakout. Mahone accepted a plea agreement and got out of prison the old fashioned way. Lincoln finally had to tell Michael the truth about Sara, and we left off with him blaming Whistler and throwing down the chicken foot.

They are to return in 15 minutes for the chicken foot fight. This looks like the replacement distraction for the now cancelled soccer game.

Mahone’s on his way to meet with the special prosecutor, which is a “formality.” They promise him he’s got full immunity and that it will be over within the hour.

As I expected, the fight was just a setup. It’s a diversion to help them get out of there without being seen. Michael tells Whistler not to mention the name Sara again and says he’s going to kill whoever’s responsible for killing her.

Bellick asks whether it’s true about Sara and says he’s sorry and she was a good person.

Sucre’s sticking around, and this time he’s near the van where they’re holding LJ, preparing for the exchange.

As they’re breaking the bars off their windows, Whistler gets concerned that Mahone might rat them out. Mahone faces some complications, as some people are getting “cold feet.” He’s told he’s got no better choice unless someone else is offering a get out of Sona free card.

A few seconds after 3:13, the second guard is distracted by the glare they anticipated. As they’re trying to break out, though, they hear Sammy, who gets in and out fairly quickly, though he does hesitate. They hop out the window and climb down the rope ladder. Only problem is the weather’s not cooperating, and although Michael’s made it to the ground, Whistler’s still at the top when the clouds start to cover the glare.

They’re both forced to climb back up the ladder. The ladder gets stuck, so they stash it just as Sammy comes looking for them for the fight.

When they get into the yard, they tell Lechero it’s been a terrible mistake and that everything’s been settled. He doesn’t care and insists they settle it in a fight to the death. Finally, Whistler decides to punch Michael to get things started. The crowd’s unhappy with the quality of the fight, however, and one of the guys watching it throws something at Whistler to make things more interesting.

Sofia pulls a gun on Lincoln and tells him she can’t let him hand Whistler over.

Susan threatens LJ, but he’s not afraid because he knows she needs him. She says if it’s not over by today, she doesn’t need to bargain any more, though.

The second guard finally realizes his coworker is missing and radios down for a replacement. After some investigation, they find the rope ladder, which is now hanging out the window.

Then they sound the alarm and storm the prison. Now the fight’s over at least.

Susan calls Lincoln, who pretends they made it out safely.

They know one thing. The cell belongs to members of Lechero’s crew. So then they shoot one of his men at random. He follows this up by turning his attention to Lechero, blaming him for the escape attempt. He may have fooled the guards, but Scofield’s not fooling anyone inside the prison, as they know the only guy who would actually make an attempt like that.

Lang asks Mahone about the men he killed, and he suspects she’s setting him up.

Susan receives confirmation that the escape didn’t go down as planned. They pack up the van and take off. Lincoln tells Sucre not to let them leave. Sucre complies… and his car is hit at top speed. I won’t be surprised if he doesn’t survive the episode.

Lincoln drives up to the scene of the wreck. Susan and her buddy are injured. Lincoln shoots the driver and grabs her. The guy in the back has a gun to LJ, though. Susan tells Lincoln to go ahead and kill her, but he refuses to do so in order to save LJ. He asks for one more chance. She seems to accept and takes off, but they leave behind some body bags in their haste to leave. The good news is that Sucre is okay.

Sammy grabs Scofield and brings him in to see Lechero. Lechero asks a straightforward question: whether Michael’s trying to break out of the prison. Michael refuses to tell the truth, but because nobody trusts him any more, Lechero doesn’t kill Scofield. Instead, he tells him he’s breaking out, and he’s taking him along.

Mahone’s told he needs to wait until the next morning, but he demands that it needs to happen right now. He gets no cooperation.

Susan goes to the prison, where she meets with Whistler. He asks for four more days. We find out her real name is Gretchen.
