Kyle XY Season 3 Episode 3

Kyle spent his time trying to save his soulmate in Kyle XY Season 3 Episode 2. Now it’s just a question of whether his soulmate is Jessi or Amanda.

Kyle’s moving his room, which of course means relocating a tub. The Tragers are taking Jessi in, so Josh gets a roommate. Everything should be okay, but they might need to think about knocking before entering the bathroom from now on. Jessi might also need to be more subtle, not asking Josh right in front of his parents if Andy’s going to reopen the store and be generous with the merchandise.

While Kyle is eavesdropping on Amanda’s music, she stops playing. She collapses but says she’s okay, though not before Kyle and Jessi storm over to see what’s wrong. Amanda’s not happy that Kyle and Jessi are living together.

Lori’s forbidden from seeing Mark, but that won’t prevent her from accidentally running into him. She plans to accidentally run into him again tomorrow, too.

Michael Cassidy runs into Kyle at the park. Latnok wants to make sure they have a relationship with Kyle because they consider him their greatest achievement. They’re the good guys. Really. Kyle’s not interested but does take the business card.

Jessi’s coming in handy for Josh. She unscrambled the adult programming for him. Everything was going fine until his dad caught him watching it. Kyle wants him to give her time to adjust to living with a family. Josh is becoming more of a horndog than he was to begin with. While he’s talking about his problem (being a teenage boy being unable to get his mind off sex) with Kyle, Jessi overhears the part about Amanda being Kyle’s soulmate.

Amanda keeps messing up in the same place, unable to hold the piece in her head for the first time ever. She hasn’t felt like herself since prom. Kyle is worried that Latnok did something to her. It’s not like he can just scan her brain, though. Or can he?

Lori accidentally runs into Mark, who bought some flowers just in case he accidentally ran into someone. It seems they’re accidentally kissing and making plans to go out for pizza as well.

Using Josh’s Xbox controller, Kyle has created a scanner and heads to Amanda’s rehersal. Problem is he brought Jessi with him, which Amanda’s not too happy about. When he’s alone, Amanda plays fine, but as soon as she sees him together with Jessi, Amanda stops playing and runs off. The two of them are always together like two peas from pods.

With the results back from his device, Kyle finds out that something’s in Amanda’s brain. Cassidy tells him it should have dissolved by now, but that he can help.

If she’s willing to keep a secret about Lori sneaking around with Mark, Jessi can be part of the group with Lori and the others under legal voting age to take on the parentals.

Like Stephen, Cassidy doesn’t want Mark to see Lori either.

Kyle hopes to eliminate the block without electrocuting Amanda, a risk Jessi’s totally up for taking. He tests regulating the voltage on a light bulb… which explodes. Jessi suggests that he pass the electricity through a kiss. He’ll have to practice, and what better subject to practice on than her? As they’re about to kiss, Stephen walks in and asks where Lori is. Jessi’s response draws Kyle’s “I know you’re lying” look. Stephen knows Lori’s with Mark. Kyle is having second thoughts because he doesn’t want to kiss Jessi, despite his full frontal view of her earlier in the shower, but she convinces him he doesn’t have a choice. When he kisses her, he blows her across the room.

Mark calls Lori to tell her the bad news that he can’t see her any more in order to protect his future.

Nicole tells Amanda that she has nothing to worry about with Kyle and Jessi. Then she walks in on Kyle and Jessi kissing. Good luck explaining this. He wants to tell Amanda everything, but she storms out.

Andy’s moms have decided to extend their vaction another three weeks. Bad news for Josh, but he realizes he misses her for more than just her body.

Kyle arrives at the recital and is confronted by Amanda’s mom, who is her usual chipper self. Amanda insists she’s lost him, even if he doesn’t realize it. He has no choice but to kiss her, whether she wants to or not. Despite the crying, she’s still standing, a good sign. Although she gets through her recital in good form, her words have Kyle believing he has lost her.

Kyle XY Season 3 Episode 2

Kyle found out that Amanda’s kidnapping was just a test in Kyle XY Season 3 Episode 1. Latnok wanted to know how he’d be able to control his powers under stressful situations.

Kyle’s at the restaurant with Amanda as she cleans up after her shift. The lights go out, and he hears a noise. For some reason, she wanders off and is captured Cassidy. Then he wakes up. Safe and sound in his tub.

Lori has written 9 songs about Declan and Hillary making out, and she decides to hang out with Mark, who she forces to ask her out. He would asj her out if he weren’t afraid of her father, but he’s willing to take the risk and ask for permission.

When Kyle arrives at the fair to look for Amanda, she arrives late, but the bad news is that Cassidy happens to be there.

Nicole pays a visit to Jessi to talk to Sarah. She’ll be happy to wait, but she could be waiting a long time. Jessi tells her to go, but Nicole insists. The knife covered letter is probably a good place to start. Jessi asks her to not tell Kyle.

Amanda said she woke up not feeling well, but she just thinks it’s a spiked punch headache. She can’t remember anything about being at the afterparty. Josh, who is under the impression he’s a man now that he’s done the deed, covers up the fact that she really wasn’t there. Amanda wants Kyle to tell her the truth, so he makes up a story about how she wandered away from the school and passed out. Now she’s mad at him for lying to her. She’ll probably be mad again when she figures out that he lied to her again. At Andy and Josh’s recommendation, Kyle agrees to go see the psychic they just went to. She knows the only way to get to him is through those he loves, warning that his soulmate is in danger and that a white rabbit will swim tonight.

Strangely, Amanda decides to see Hillary for some advice and female bonding. Clearly the first woman she’s run into today. As for Hillary, she’s still pretending that kissing Declan didn’t mean anything. So they plan to shut themselves indoors and wallow in chocolate.

Nicole breaks and enters into Sarah’s apartment by pretending to be her and asking her landlord to let her in. She’s waiting for Jessi so that she can as her to come home with her and work on getting over her trust issues.

As Amanda and Hillary are preparing for girl’s night, Lori arrives.

Josh’s not so subtle routine of being all growed up isn’t lost on his dad, who finally figures out why Josh is acting the way he is. As Stephen’s letting out his anger, the doorbell rings. It’s Mark. He has the worst timing in the history of the universe, and Stephen denies him without hearing the question.

Kyle invites a fourth wheel to girl’s night, asking Jessi to do him a favor and go over there and keep an eye on Amanda. Bad timing for Lori, who had decided to bail about two seconds before getting the text that Jessi’s arriving. When Kyle calls to apologize to Jessi for not noticing she needed him, Amanda overhears their conversation, doesn’t want to be babysat, and wants to go out instead. At least Lori will be the babysitter instead.

Kyle calls Lori, who pretends it’s really Mark on the other end. Then Mark shows up. So Amanda’s mad at Lori, and then Hillary’s mad as well when she finds out Lori’s got a DJ on the side despite her Declan protests. Since Mark knows where they’re going, so does Cassidy.

Now that Josh’s dad knows (and he believes consequently his mom), Andy’s cutting Josh off.

When Hillary and Lori are having a chick fight with colored syrup, Kyle arrives to ask where Amanda is. She’s in line for the boat: White Rabbit. Kyle makes a mad dash for the boat when he sees something collapse. Amanda is fine. It’s Jessi who gets struck by the beam. As she’s recovering, Kyle tells her that, unlike Sarah, he would never just leave on her. Then she tells him she was looking after Amanda like he asked because she didn’t want to let him down.

Amanda’s wondering about the psychic’s prediction. The psychic said Kyle’s soulmate would be in danger, and it was Jessi who needed saving.

It turns out that the psychic was just paid off by Cassidy after all, though she did at least know that Kyle is special.

Kyle XY Season 3 Episode 1

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 23 concluded the second season with Amanda’s disappearance after prom, with the only evidence left behind being a Latnok ring. After some time off following the strike, Kyle and crew are back for season 3.

As he’s standing there holding the ring and searching for Amanda, Kyle’s zapped and taken away. He awakens to find he’s hooked up to machines and strapped down. Doesn’t he have like superpowers?

Josh is convinced he ain’t getting any, but he’s going to the after party anyway. All the heat, making out, and gyrating there isn’t helping him any.

Jessi and her mom are getting ready to bail, but she thinks something’s wrong with Kyle, so she refuses to leave until she sees Kyle first.

Speaking of Kyle’s superpowers, he uses his telekinesis to move objects with his mind and free himself. There may be nowhere to run, but he can jump off that building and get away nonetheless.

He runs home to check on Amanda but can’t hear her heartbeat. His hovering allows him to check her room to see for sure she’s not there. He might want to be careful that nobody’s watching him, but luckily it’s just Lori who sees him. She agrees to go to the afterparty and see if she can find Amanda. When Kyle receives a message on his phone, however, he realizes that Latnok’s got her. So he heads to their building to find her (the same building where he’d been held hostage not long before), but when he arrives, everything and everyone is gone. Jessi’s there, though.

Declan’s busy getting over Lori, which he’s doing with alcohol and a blonde.

When she arrives at Kyle’s house, Carol, Amanda’s mom, isn’t happy because, well, she’s never happy, but she’s up for a drink.

Hillary suggests to Declan a hot and sweaty mack session. As he starts up with her, Lori walks in.

Kyle and Jessi create a map on the floor to try to track down Amanda. When they relisten to the video message, they hear a train at a railroad crossing. They just have to locate that to find Amanda.

Amanda’s mom seems mostly over her missing daughter. As long as the champagne lasts.

Kyle and Jessi arrive where they believe Amanda’s being held, and Kyle makes all the lights go out. He shows Jessi that they can still see with their vision enhanced.

Back at the afterparty, Hillary refuses to let herself like Declan. Try as he might, Josh only gets to play video games at his prom.

Jessi reluctantly promises Kyle that she’ll get out and head straight back to Sarah if they get separated. But she gets her wish when they’re spotted and forced to fight weapon wielding madmen. Her way is more fun than hiding overhead. He hears Amanda’s heartbeat now and goes to rescue her while Jessi stays behind and continues to assault people. He busts through the door after turning it and grabs Amanda. After telling Jessi to go and take Amanda with her, Kyle jumps in front of a bullet to let them get away.

When he wakes up, they’ve got him in a room. It was just a rubber bullet. Latnok planned this whole thing just as a test to see if he could control his abilities while upset. They believe they have it all figured out. Kyle will do anything for Amanda, and Jessi will do anything for Kyle. Good thing Lori’s new pal Mark was there to help Latnok out. Jessi’s upset that they only care about him but not her.

Amanda thinks she just fell asleep at the prom, but regardless Kyle did manage to get her home by her not difficult to meet 3:00 curfew with moments to spare.

When she returns home, Jessi’s introduced to Cassidy, the guy from Latnok who’s living in her building. More bad news is that Sarah is missing now.

Kyle believes Amanda is safe, but she’s got something on her neck that indicates otherwise.

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 23

Kyle’s trying to prepare for the prom, so he watches a prom/slasher film. He hopes to come up with the perfect plan for the perfect prom. Lori warns him not to get too caught up in the planning.

Adam tells Kyle he needs a break from the Latnok community, and he’s asked them to give Kyle a break as well. He tells him they’ve been watching him for a while, waiting to take a larger role in his development. He knows Kyle doesn’t want to go with him and would rather stay with his family.

Amanda just hopes prom won’t be a huge disaster.

Sarah wants to leave Seattle with Jessi. To go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Josh tells Kyle he’s hoping prom will help him get some extra bases. Kyle’s seen that in the movies, where often times the young teens end up getting fatally mutiliated.

Kyle is afraid Latnok’s still out there watching him, regardless of Adam’s request to leave him alone.

Despite Kyle’s pleas that she stay, Jessi doesn’t want to risk telling Sarah she wants to stay because it’ll mess things up if she leaves anyway.

Stephen is getting as concerned as everyone else about the sexual tension between Mark and Lori. She tells him she’s getting ready for prom with Declan, and the store’s closed anyway. He wants Josh’s store closed as well.

Amanda’s stressed out that the decorating isn’t going according to plan. She asks Kyle to send the dress but not come himself. Jessi volunteers to bring it. When she arrives, Jessi calls Kyle to tell him what’s happening at the school, and instead of not worrying about making it more special, he decides he needs to come to the rescue. When Amanda shows up, she’s greeted by a fairy tale prom scene.

Andy comes over to the house to get makeup help from Lori so that she doesn’t look like a vampire clown whore. Lori tells Josh not to screw up this defining moment in his otherwise idiotic life.

Lori and Josh duck out and hide from their dates at the prom. Josh is freaking out about sex. Lori’s confused about whether she should actually be with Declan. With some words of wisdom from Nicole, Kyle helps them realize they’ve come a long way and should just be having fun. Lori heads back inside to find out that Mark is only 19, despite how old he may seem.

Heading to check on a roof leak, Kyle finds Jessi, who he thought left hours ago. He takes the opportunity to say goodbye. She jumps off the roof, and she’s gone.

Kyle was right. He has been followed. By Foss, who says he doesn’t know if Latnok should be trusted and that Kyle should always worry. Kyle says not tonight.

Andy does have plans for after the prom: ice cream and video games. This is in line with Josh’s plans, as he’s not sure they’re ready for anything else.

Declan heard Lori’s song at the prom and doesn’t want to be the one holding her back. She agrees they shouldn’t be together.

The prom is over, and everybody starts to leave. That doesn’t stop Kyle from having one last dance with Amanda, though. He still wants to know something he doesn’t know about her. She tells him she loves him, then he answers her question whether he can fly by levitating so she doesn’t get her feet wet from the leaking water.

Amanda left her other clothes inside. Kyle goes back in to get them. When he returns, she’s gone. A Latnok is all that remains where she had been standing.

Given its strong ratings, it should come as no surprise, but Kyle XY season 3 has been confirmed. It’s unclear whether this will again be a summer show or will be back in the fall.

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 22

Jessi followed in her mother’s footsteps in Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 21, hacking into the system for test answers and posting them online for everybody to see. Kyle managed to find a way to save the day using his computer skills, which he then followed up by using them to find Sarah at a diner, waiting to help save Jessi from Taylor.

Sarah tells Kyle that Taylor wants to get back into Latnok’s good graces, even if it harms Jessi in the process. She says he’s just like the rest of Latnok: they’re just scientists looking for a means to an end.

Everybody is going crazy over the prom. Declan’s spent $1900 so far (more than half for the hotel suite). He tells Kyle he’s screwed without cash. Lori hates prom. Andy hopes Josh will take her to prom, regardless of the fact that they’re not old enough to get into it. Amanda plans to spend sleepless nights on the planning committee, but she’s still got time to help Josh sneak into the prom.

Jessi’s got a meeting with Latnok. She doesn’t want to hear what Kyle has to say, but maybe she’ll want to listen to Sarah.

Kyle tells Jessi he’ll make sure she meets with Sarah. He knows this isn’t entirely accurate.

Josh has a plan to get to prom. It starts by winning (with Jessi’s assistance) a $50 gift certificate that he’s going to sell. He intends to win every radio contest he can, whether it’s in a language he can speak or not.

Lori gets into an argument with Mark, who quits as the DJ for the prom. To make matters worse, the caterer has been shut down by the health department, and they can’t get the deposit back.

Kyle taps into his holographic memory to describe all the cars in the lot to Declan, who can tell what people look like based on the car they drive. By process of elimination, they figure out which car is Sarah’s. He tracks her down by way of traffic cameras. She’s not happy he told Jessi she’s still alive, and she says she doesn’t want to be a mother. With a little convincing, Kyle gets her to agree to stop by his house to meet Jessi.

Amanda has come up with a plan to help Josh. A date swap. She’s taking Josh, and Kyle’s taking Andy.

When Lori gets home, still hating prom, Jessi views it as an opportunity to follow her upstairs to her room to ask questions. This leads to a bonding experience between the two, and Lori agrees to cut Jessi’s hair so it’s shorter like Sarah’s. Lori says she doesn’t want to be angry with her any more.

Hillary comes up with a caterer, not listening to the part about not having any money. When Josh finds Amanda upset in the kitchen about this, he’s got the cash to help thanks to his radio show contest spree, even if it doesn’t leave much left after that.

Taylor comes to the house to force Jessi to go with him to the meeting. The family is there to protect her from him when he insists she owes him.

Josh has enough left for prom tickets, a sky blue rayon suit, and a scoop of ice cream. Andy tells him she’s got it covered and that she’s happy just to be with him.

Thanks to the haircut, of all things, Lori has managed to write a less gloomy song, which is enough to impress Mark to get him to be the DJ again. And he tells her the story of how he never went to prom since he was 15 as a senior.

Jessi’s sitting on the porch, and after 3 hours and 52 minutes, she realizes Sarah isn’t going to show up, so she leaves, but she says it’s not back to Taylor. Nicole and Stephen tell the kids they want Jessi to stay there until they can find some place more permanent.

Kyle knows he can find Jessi at the diner, where he goes to break the news to her. The fact that her abilities are tied to her emotions causes the restaurant to shake and lights to flash. Sarah shows up… just before Jessi collapses and her heart stops.

Kyle knows he’s her only hope. He creates an even bigger energy surge to save her.

Declan ultimately plans to go to the prom with Lori, who had decided she’s going stag.

Foss gives Taylor a one way ticket and tells him he doesn’t want to come back. Now that they’ve seen the tape of what happened at the diner, Latnok wants to get their hands on Kyle.

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 21

Mark and Lori’s sexual tension got more noticeable in Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 20. Meanwhile, Kyle, who was having trouble sleeping the whole episode, finally figured out the problem: the record he was playing contained a secret message. Kyle decoded it, and it was a Latnok ring with the words “I’m Alive.” He assumes it’s Sarah, who everybody thought was dead. The other good thing that came out of this was that Amanda played the piano to help ease Kyle’s mind, which convinced her mother to let him go to the prom with her.

Kyle wants to figure out the right way to ask Amanda to the prom. Jessi’s eavesdropping from across the room. Lori doesn’t approve until the subject of Declan’s prom date comes up.

Josh has made an improvement of 27% over his previous scores. He’s accused by Bradford Hooper, the principal, of being a cheater, because he’s improved. Kyle, the human lie detector, knows he didn’t cheat.

Kyle’s able to muster up the courage to ask Amanda… for a straw. Hillary tells him asking her to the prom is as simple as just asking her. He’s feeling better, but then they scare him again, telling him the question is simple, but the timing needs to be perfect.

Jessi offers to heal Declan’s ankle, but he declines her offer for assistance that he needs to keep a secret.

Taylor and Jessi are training. She’s not sure she can move a weight because it’s too heavy. She lifts it for a few seconds but stops when she starts bleeding. He doesn’t care and tells her to just keep going. When she says she’s tired of training all the time, he tells her they’ll change up the routine tomorrow.

Kyle gets an anonymous instant message. He thinks it’s Sarah.

Nicole goes down to the school to confront Hooper, and he accuses Kyle of cheating as well, since somebody hacked into the district mainframe and posted the test questions on a website. Kyle didn’t do it, but he knows who did. Jessi. She denies being responsible for someone else logging on to check it out.

Lori adamantly denies any interest in Mark. She doth protest too much.

Declan’s had a change of heart. He wants Jessi to help him with his ankle after all, and he promises not to tell Kyle.

Hooper’s got it into his head that, as punishment for the hacking, he’ll cancel the prom. Jessi warns that if she confesses, he’ll be able to trace the IP addresses from the website back to the people who cheated. She shows him a list, since she’s already started to do some research herself.

One of the names on the list is Amanda. She was curious and went on the site, but she says she didn’t actually look at any of the answers. Kyle tells her not to rat on herself and that she’ll figure a way out.

Even if the principal doesn’t believe in him, Stephen’s proud of how Josh has been doing.

Kyle gets another anonymous IM. He gets warned that he needs to help Jessi to prevent Taylor from destroying her.

Nicole’s afraid to help because the alleged social worker warned her.

Kyle’s impressed by Declan’s recovery. Too impressed. He knows something’s up. Because he knows he’s been busted, Declan tells the truth about what happened.

Nicole asks Taylor to let her see Jessi. He warns that he’ll lodge a complaint with social services if she contacts Jessi. Kyle approaches Jessi to tell her she needs to stop pushing herself so hard.

Kyle figures out that almost everybody logged on to the website, making the list pointless since obviously not everybody cheated. Hooper decides he has to just have everybody retake the test. Kyle refuses to rat out Jessi.

Declan’s ankle hurts again. On the court, he’s not just Kyle’s sidekick, which is one thing he loves about the game.

Amanda’s impressed Kyle always makes the right choice but is afraid she’ll disappoint him because of that. Since the prom’s back on, he picks now to ask her to the prom, and she of course says yes.

Kyle gets another anonymous IM. Taylor wants Jessi to train. She’s too tired to train. He doesn’t care. At Josh’s inadvertent suggestion, Kyle has traced the IM’s, which form a perfect square. The answer to the puzzle of where to meet is the diner, where he finds Sarah.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another recap of Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 22 Hello…, which airs Monday at 8/7c on ABC Family.

Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 20

Jessi went nutty in Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 19, insisting on winning everything, a mirror of Sarah, who died because she pushed too hard. Andy’s preparing for her checkup tomorrow to see whether she’s still got cancer, but it doesn’t appear as though she does.

A sleepwalking Kyle goes into the kitchen to draw a picture with ketchup. When they return to his room, they see a mass of pictures that need to be put in order. Nicole believes it happened because of stress from the major relationship changes in his life. She suggests he uncomplicate his life. So he goes to The Rack, where everybody needs his brain to help their studying efforts. He doesn’t want to disappoint them. Stephen also needs his cooking assistance, while Lori wants help writing a prom theme song. He starts forgetting simple words and bumping into things. Jessi can tell something’s wrong with him.

Kyle realizes he’s slowly losing control of his abilities, and it’s not going unnoticed by the others. Josh says he’s like the idiot king of Stupidtown.

Mrs. Bloom reluctantly lets Amanda study with Kyle, saying the test answers will prove whether her trust in him has been well placed. He hopes he can earn the honor of a date with her “giraffe” (aka Amanda).

When he heads to his room to rest, he draws the pictures again. He doesn’t think the problem is stress.

Since Kyle’s not smart enough today, Josh calls Jessi to help them study, which obviously doesn’t please Amanda. Jessi forces Josh to do pushups when he gets something wrong, which could lead to quite a workout. Nobody else wants to study with her for some unknown reason.

Mark, Stephen’s TA, comes to the house to assist with a mechanical problem. He goes to the bathroom upstairs, where he gets trapped by Lori. She asks for his advice, and he’s got a lot, even if it’s blunt. Declan quickly gets jealous. It turns out Hillary is an idiot savant and is a great cook. Then Amanda rescues Josh from Jessi.

Andy’s got good news. She doesn’t have cancer any more. That’s what he apparently did. Curing her pushed him too far, a point not lost on Jessi, who was already suspicious to begin with. The action of curing her was just unintentional, driven by an emotion for wanting to help her.

Hillary’s got an obvious theory. There’s sexual tension between Mark and Lori.

Kyle tries to pretend he’s okay, but every little noise is driving him mad. He eventually ends up starting a fire. Amanda goes home to play the piano, hoping it will help him. He’s comforted but still lost and confused.

Adam Baylin comes to find out what’s wrong. Adam doesn’t believe he actually healed Andy, at least not at this stage in his development. He does have a theory, though. The record Kyle’s been listening to from the diner is the key.

Mark decides that Lori is a great lyricist but that he’ll help her with the music. He also agrees to DJ the prom.

Kyle’s subconscious is trying to tell him to listen to the subliminal messages hidden on the record. The sounds are then translated into images, like a fax machine. Adam’s not sure where the message is coming from, since Sarah’s dead and all.

They take the images Kyle drew and put them on a computer, where he gets a visual of a Latnok ring with a message of “I’m Alive.”

Amanda’s mother is happy that her daughter played the piano, the first time she’s done that since she’s been back. He asks for permission to take Amanda to the prom, and he gets a yes.

Josh is convinced that, regardless of what Kyle may say, he did help Andy in some way.

Kyle realizes that the simplest way to solve a problem is to be sure you have someone to help you, which everybody did by coming together to help each other.
