An immunity challenge twist led to two different Tribal Councils in Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 11. First, everybody knew Jenna was going home. In a more interesting second vote, Michael nearly got saved by a secret extra vote, but once Kellyn realized he didn’t have an idol, she helped get rid of him.
It’s obvious who had the extra vote, so Kellyn doesn’t try to hide it.
For the reward challenge, they will race across balance beams and other obstacles for sandbags to toss. Reward is a loved ones visit. Sebastian is the first one to the toss. Domenick is the only one challenging him. Sebastian wins reward. He chooses Domenick to join him. Then he also chooses Wendell. Lastly, Donathan.
He also now has to choose someone to go to Ghost Island, where there is a guaranteed advantage. If he wants to send himself, he can, but he would have to give up his reward. He declines, but the three people he chose now have the opportunity to partake. Wendell takes the advantage, receiving dirty looks in the process because he has the nerve to play the game, though his father fully agrees that going is the smart thing to do.
The advantage is a second shot at the immunity challenge. Potentially helpful. Not great.
At the loved ones visit, Domenick promises Donathan’s aunt that they’re together. Donathan has no such plans. He wants to take out these threats rather than join forces with them.
Meanwhile, back at camp, the girls whine, especially Kellyn, but after they are done complaining, they discuss how they have the numbers. The four girls plus Donathan is enough to get rid of whoever they want, as long as nobody plays an idol.
For the immunity challenge, they will balance a ball on a cylinder held by handles. Kellyn drops quickly. After 10 minutes, everybody else adds a section to the cylinders. Angela is unable to make the transition. Wendell drops right behind her, but he will get a second chance, which it seems almost certain will be a waste after that early failure. Wendell drops again. After 20 minutes, they move to the final round. Sebastian drops. Laurel drops. Chelsea is next. Donathan is out. Domenick wins immunity.
There goes the plans for the elimination of Domenick, but there are plenty of other targets.
Donathan and Laurel will be the swing votes between the two camps. Donathan is afraid of the big threats. Laurel trusts the big threats more than the others, but she doesn’t think she can beat them.
Part of the reason they are so threatening is that Domenick and Wendell both have idols. Despite being the most likely alternative target to Domenick, Wendell does not play his idol.
With 5 votes, Chelsea has been voted off the island. Having won immunity twice in a row, she came off as a challenge threat, apparently. Domenick and Wendell may have gotten their way this time, but it’s clear they are left on the table as potential outnumbered targets next week.
