Survivor: Heroes Vs. Healers Vs. Hustlers Episode 8

The newly merged tribe wanted to get rid of Joe, Cole, or Chrissy in Survivor: Heroes Vs. Healers Vs. Hustlers Episode 7, so Jessica went home.

Cole was searching for a clue when they merged, but he was unable to get it. Unsuspecting Lauren stumbles upon it the next day in the nails. It is not a clue. Rather, it is an advantage. She has the option to not vote the next time, in exchange for using that vote at a later time.

The reward challenge will require them to race up ladders and slingshot at targets from the top. Reward is food at a private island. JP, Chrissy, Cole, Ryan, and Devon (blue) are against Desi, Ashley, Ben, Mike, and Lauren (red). Odd man out Joe will not play but will share in the reward. Ben takes the 1-0 lead for red. Mike makes it 2-0. JP makes it 2-1. Lauren extends the lead to 3-1. Devon makes it 3-2. JP scores again to tie it at 3. Devon finally gives blue the lead. Ashley ties it. JP scores again for the win.

They all eat individually and in private, which supposedly is to allow someone to be selfish. Cole fully intends to do this, but really there is plenty for everyone, even if nobody is going to eat until they are sick. More importantly, as the third person to go, he is the one to find the hidden clue written on the plate. He hides it under the tablecloth, but Chrissy is not fooled, nor is Ryan. Now that three people have seen the clue, someone is finally smart enough to hide the evidence in the woods.

Chrissy thinks Cole must be too stupid to have found the clue, but Ryan is not stupid enough to believe that. He suspects that they know, but Cole still gives them the opportunity to get it before him. When Cole goes to the bathroom, Ryan finds the idol. He instructs Chrissy to cover the hole he just dug, and a wrestling match ensues when Cole sees her, much too late. Ben immediatately accuses Cole of having the idol, seeing what he wants to see and making up in his mind that he tucked in his shirt to hide it.

For the immunity challenge, they will stand on a beam while balancing a statue with a pole. Mike is the first to drop. Joe is next. Devon is the third to fall. Lauren is next, followed by Ryan. After 10 minutes, those who remain move to the next section of the beam. Ashley quickly drops after that move. Chrissy is next. Ben is next. Then Desi. JP’s been struggling a lot and finally falls. Cole wins immunity, and nobody is happy about it, very visibly.

Cole may have saved himself, but his original tribe is still a sinking ship. The alliance of convenience will split the vote between Desi and Joe. A split vote would not work with Lauren’s advantage, however, so they try to pull in Mike, and Ben’s plan is still to split the vote, knowing that all the Healers have to do is stick together and get rid of the person of their choice. That is a potentially stupid plan to avoid giving up an advantage that someone else has, and Mike is suspicious but fears he is outnumbered if he stays where he is.

Joe is also on Ben’s list of people he doesn’t like, and Joe knows just how to piss people off who are already prone to it.

It’s tied between Joe and Desi. The Healers had a small window of opportunity, but they are completely fractured. If anyone was paying close enough attention, they will realize that’s 10 votes despite 11 people remaining. The math is not very hard, but there are enough people remaining that it could well slip past everyone.
