Michael and Ashley were above the yellow line in The Biggest Loser Season 9 Episode 18, securing their spots in the finals. That left Koli and Daris competing for America’s vote for the third and final place in the final three.
The first order of business is to reveal the third finalist. America has chosen Daris, in spite of his 2 pound weight gain on last week’s show.
Season 3 winner Erik has (re)lost over 150 pounds since Bob challenged him.
Shay, who started to get on my nerves last season going on about how she couldn’t do it alone without being on the ranch, is back to find out how much money she’s won from Subway. She has dropped from 304 pounds to 252 pounds, a 52 pound decrease that has netted her $52,000. She gets her check from Jared. He still works for them? Wait, there’s more. She and Jared will complete a marathon at the end of the year, and then the check will be doubled. To help her get ready, Subway will provide her free breakfasts and lunches.
Next up is the weigh-in to find out who is the at home prize winner of $100,000.
Cherita: 186 pounds (-91, 32.85%) – leader
Victoria: 222 pounds (-136, 37.99%) – new leader
Sherry: 119 pounds (-99, 45.41%) – new leader
Maria: 167 pounds (-114, 40.57%)
Patti: 170 pounds (-73, 30.04%)
Stephanie: 165 pounds (-99, 37.50%)
James: 357 pounds (-128, 26.39%)
John: 335 pounds (-149, 30.79%)
Melissa: 143 pounds (-90, 38.63%)
Lance: 237 pounds (-128, 35.07%)
Migdalia: 213 pounds (-52, 19.62%)
Miggy: 149 pounds (-91, 37.92%)
O’Neal: 230 pounds (-159, 40.87%)
Sunshine: 161 pounds (-114, 41.45%)
Darrell: 224 pounds (-189, 45.76%) – new leader
Andrea: 214 pounds (-84, 28.19%)
Cheryl: 151 pounds (-76, 33.48%)
Sam: 230 pounds (-142, 38.17%)
Koli: 188 pounds (-215, 53.35%)
With over 50% weight loss for the season, Koli has easily won the at home prize. Darrell and Sherry also put up some impressive numbers, and there were a few others in the 40% range. Migdalia’s still on the right path, but it doesn’t look as if she’s learned what she could have.
Now on to the main event. Michael has chosen to let everyone weigh-in by order of age from youngest to oldest.
Daris: 178 pounds (-168, 48.55%)
Ashley: 191 pounds (-183, 48.93%)
Michael: 262 pounds (-264, 50.19%)
Strong performance by all three finalists, but Michael Ventrella is ultimately The Biggest Loser Season 9 winner.
This fall, The Biggest Loser Season 10 will be back in its regular Tuesday at 8 time slot on NBC. Starting next week, Jillian Michaels will cross the country making housecalls in Losing it with Jillian.
