Ron has recently retired from the food distribution business that he was in for most of his career. He sits on the ZBA and city council and has been on the planning commission for his town. Ron has battled his weight his entire life, weighing over 200 pounds at just nine years old, and has yo-yo dieted to almost 500 pounds as an adult. Ron, like most people who are overweight, has tried everything to lose it. And like most, he lost a lot of weight only to gain it back, usually faster than he lost it. Currently at over 420 pounds and with both of his sons struggling with obesity, Ron realizes that his sons cannot follow in his path.

You and Your son are such an inspiration to our family. Every week we watch and say what a good guys you and your sons are. I have an 11 year old son who is on a weight loss program. We are all on the program with him and it seems to be working. The funny thing is that my 8 year old daughter has pointed out how much my son and Mike resemble each other. And he does. I just want to let you both know that you are helping my entire family stick with this lifestyle. You are a very good father and i only hope to have a son as great as yours. Keep up the good work!
P.S. I have a 17 year old daughter who thinks mike is hot and getting hotter by the days.

Ron, What a LIAR!!!! I liked you and your son at first, but how arrogant to one – already announce Mike as the winner and two- flat out lying on the show about not having anything to do with voting out Kristen, don’t you know you are always being taped? third – you flat out lied to Bob about not knowing, as well. you know, karma will bite you and your son in the butt! oh, and the fourth, how arrogant to announce your son as the winner already… you need counseling.
Game on now old neighbor, I really do not understand people’s complaints. Simply strategy people, get rid of your threats, you think at this point of the GAME, they would not do the same? as was the case last night. The time for who needs to stay is over.
I think that everyone is a little hard on Ron. This is a game as well. I am sure if it was your kid and 1/4 a million dollars at stake you would do the same. I’ve seen parents at little league go at it for less. The typical Italian comment I take personally. Italian families are close. We look out for each other. I would rather sit beside a liar than a racist
I am well aware that this is a game, but the purpose is to lose weight, and learn how to live a healthy lifestyle. Ron has played the card “I need to be here” the entire time. I totally agree, but I saw Ron true motives last week. It is all about winning the game. It is a shame that people will lie and be so deceptive for money. For the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil. I forgive you Ron for out right lying to Kristen…God Bless you Ron!

I think you’re a coniving schmuck and a lier. What is on the inside is more important than is what is on the outside. All your proclamations of love for your son etc. are totally diminished by your lying, deception, and just being a coniving schmuck. Each week our whole family roots for you to go where you should have been months ago………..eliminated from the show. Think about the life lessons you’re teaching your son you fat puke.
My thought to you Dave Dahlin is you are the biggest loser. It is and edited for TV show, get real. However now that I think of it, it is exactly what the producers are looking for so you will tune in.

I really don’t care who you are unless you’re bragging about being friends with this pig. Because you know him one would think you could provide insights which make my statements incorrect. I have yet to hear them so other than you knowing him, what does that add to the discussion? You are friends/acquintances with a coniving puke who teaches his son that lying is ok as long as it is a means to an end? If that is the case, I can’t laugh at you, only feel pity there is another moron in this world and hope you’re not a parent.

My point exactly says my son and daughter. A perfect example of intangible debatable intellect. For example stick and stones, yet read your posts, never you always others are incapable.
They are doing thesis on low self esteem; they are at the point of their research of groups and individuals such as you or possible you, however we need more data.
The more we debate the more name calling you come back with, which simply may suggest you are incapable of debate, only adolescent name calling.
Their thesis has to do with social level combined with today’s technology and how it has created weak intellect. Which I find fascinating because you think it would be the opposite given the information highway.

The shows been over for months and my anger with Ron is still fresh in my mind… i hope when he got home that all his friends and family were like “wow, we really can’t trust you” and that they distanced themselves from him and fired him and…
all this justification by saying “he did it for his son” is such a joke… if he loved his son, he wouldn’t be such a crappy role model. I like mikey, but unfortunately, he’s got a dishonest dad as a strike against him when he becomes a man and starts dealing with life and the real world and has to make decisions on his own…. hopefully he becomes a man of integrity. So glad ron didn’t win. or mikey, because ron would have benefitted.
The show has been over for months now and I do not know what is more pathetic the anti climatic ending of the show (Helen was the only one who could afford 3 fitness trainers, should of been rule against that) or the idiots on this site. Stop watching scripted reality TV bvre, dam get a life would ya.
