Filipe is energetic and spontaneous, and has been told that he should be a comedian by many, even strangers. He has never wanted to pursue comedy because 99.9% of his jokes are fat jokes and fat is not something he wants to be. Filipe did not start gaining weight until high school and used his asthma as an excuse to not work out and be healthy. He comes from a family of nine; one of his siblings died accidentally at a very young age and Filipe has blamed himself for years because it was his responsibility to watch him. Since then, he has had a great love for family and been very protective of each and every one of them. By losing weight this will show his family that he leads by action, not just by words.
Seriously I wish you weren’t on the show. Watching the both of you really annoy me. You guys are so disrespectful. You shouldn’t of shoved mashed potatoes and chicken fingers in your mouth. EXCUSES. You should thank the ground you walk on that you are on that show. Grow up. Your so aggravating to watch, this is the first season I don’t want to even watch the show. YOur so dramatic. Get real.
Filipe, I can’t believe you blaimed your trainer for your failure. I think you should remember who it was who chose to eat and drink like you did on your 24 hour reward. At least your cousin admitted that his weight loss was affected by HIS choices he made, kudos to Sione. If you haven’t apologized to Jillian yet, I hope you do. Grow up and admit it was no ones fault but your own!!!
Does it not bother anyone else that Felipe is clearly wearing a “black face”. His face is clearly darker than the rest of his body and he is wearing makeup to appear more black. This totally outrages me. Not only is he using cliche black phrases and gestures but is portraying a stereotype in a mocking and derogatory manner. I think the show is ridiculous for even placing him on the show. He may be of mixed racial background but that is no excuse to use makeup and stereotypical phrases to create a reality TV “character.”

I want to congratulate you on your success on the Biggest Loser. I wanted to make sure you got this positive comment because there is no need for people to be so critical when they don’t walk in your shoes. Everyone on the show had their negative ways even Ron who lied about not convincing his son to vote off Kristin.
I wish you all the luck in the world and you looked great when you left the show. Please keep up the good work and remember what you have accomplished. I am happy to see that you are helping others.
I also wish your cousin luck in his weight loss.

I feel the comment made by Steven is trivial and silly. I think Filipe was just being Filipe. I feel that the Tongan people may all act like this as they cherish their ethnicity. I feel all he was doing was being playful and funny. So chill out Steven and stop trying to make it racial.
He should have won this year. Down with team brown.
Congragulations Filipe, To me you are the winner you have inspired me so much that I finally for years have the enthusiasm to go to that level and say that I owe it to myself. I am 330lbs. and my doctor is constantly riding me about losing weight. I am with you and scione, Ron should have been voted out a long time ago.
