NBC Bio
Renee has always struggled with her weight. She remembers her dad calling her a “Fat Tomato” as a child and it is something that has always stuck with her. She feels that giving birth to five children has been hard on her body as she has gained and lost weight from each child. However, she can pinpoint her divorce as the main cause for weight gain. Renee has since remarried and feels the extra weight she carries is a burden to the relationship; she lacks energy and it hurts their social life together. She even finds ways to avoid her husband’s formal dinner parties. At times, she does not even feel she recognizes the person she sees in the mirror. While she is active with volunteer work for her church, Renee knows she can be doing so much more. She also has a passion for interior decorating and travel. She hopes she and her husband can take a long overdo trip to Hawaii once she returns from “The Biggest Loser.”

These two look more like sisters than mother and daughter. When Renee divorced Michelle’s father, she did not speak to her mother for over six years. Michelle and her mom have finally rekindled their relationship and look forward to this chance to make up for lost time. Renee hopes this will lead to a full reconciliation with all of her children and she also hopes to meet her two-year-old granddaughter for the first time.

  2. We are rooting for Renee or Michelle. They both embody the true spirit of this show and do seem to have an inspirational quality that will allow people to get off the couch and make a difference in their lives. More mothers and daughters should team up as you have to get through lifes struggles. The world would be a better place.

  3. Congratulations on your extraordinary success, Renee! I rarely get the opportunity to watch Biggest Loser, but I turned it on tonight and kept thinking that you and Michelle looked very familiar to me. Then when you returned home I thought maybe you were the Renee that I worked with many years ago at a local metroplex ministry. I was sad to hear about your divorce and am so sorry that you had to go through that ordeal. But I am happy to know that you have had your prayers answered and that you and Michelle have been reunited. You know it really is true that we are what we think (and eat!). Back when I knew you, I never saw you as fat or overweight. I only saw you as a beautiful woman with an extraordinary spark of life and light inside of her. Keep believing and walking strong! I pray that you continue to prosper and have success in every area of your life.

Continued blessings and success to you and your beautiful family.

  5. Renee, i think you are your daughter have the most beautiful faces, and i am so proud of you both, i was so sorry to see that vicky was not below the yellow line the night of your elimination, i was really hoping that she would go home..i realize that this is a game, but i think that women has an evil streak that is just not meant to be exposed on family television……..she needs to save that drama for one of the classelss reality cable show. Good luck to you Renee, i wish you continued success in your life!
