Men in Trees Cancelled

TV Guide has confirmed that, after having moved it around its schedule to the point of confusion, ABC has cancelled Men in Trees.
Series creator Jenny Bicks told Michael Ausiello, “I am really proud of the work we did on MIT… a huge thank you to our supportive fans.”
She added, “I wish the show had not been moved six times and put onto two long hiatuses.”
Since the show has been on the bubble, the producers prepared an alternate ending to serve as the series finale. Men in Trees’ will return on Wednesday May 28 for its final run.

WHY ARE THE GOOD SHOWS ALWAYS CANCELLED. I THINK THOSE IN CHARGE SHOULD LISTEN TO THE PUBLIC…..IT WAS A GREAT SHOW AND ONE THAT I LOVED TO WATCH…..
THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN ANNE HECHE AND MR. TUPPER WAS GREAT AND REAL FROM WHAT I HAVE READ….I HOPE THAT SOME OTHER NETWORK PICKS THEM UP AND BUILDS A SHOW AROUND THEM…..
THE CAST WAS ALL GOOD AND LOCATION WAS DIFFERENT.

I’m in my 70’s and enjoyed Men in Trees very much. That show was very entertaining and I would put it in the same category with e.g. Seinfeld.
Hope something saves this show.

Why is it that everytime I get a show I like, it gets cancelled? They seem to keep the most ridiculous shows on TV that only an idiot could appreciate. Please reconsider keeping it on the air.

I loved MIT….and looked forward to it every week. I was ALWAYS disappointed when I discovered it wasn’t being broadcast on any particular week. It’s such a funky story and has great characters. It reminded me or Northern Exposure…another quirky but fun show. ABC Executives really should have their collective heads examined for cancelling it. The show doesn’t deserve this. Moving it around from one day to another, changing the times, etc., it’s no wonder it couldn’t find a stable audience.

I wish ABC would get rid of the reality shows.
And keep shows like this, and women murders club,
and cashmere mafia. Its sad that the big wigs have
nothing better to do but not look at the talent at
good shows and keep around the shows that obviously
need to be yanked…

It is ridiculous that this program has been cancelled!!!!!!! It is a very entertaining and “intelligent” show. The blame is that of the network and it scheduling changes. There are alot of people that are going to be very upset

Here’s a quote from Entertainment Weekly to which I totally agree: “Don’t blame yourself for MIT’s cancellation - ABC did a total Meredith Grey on this show: Wooed it, screwed it, left it for dead. (Always knew that chick was a bad influence.)”

I’m very disappointed that MIT was cancelled. Movement has nothing to do with it, believe me, viewers can find the shows they want to watch!

Why did ABC cancel Men in Tree’s? There is so much junk on tv and when they finally have a good show they go and cancel it.
It’s not MIT fault that ABC kept moving the show around to different days and times. They really should give the show another chance and stick to a scheduled, they would rather show lost or desperate house wives instead, desperate house wives is so stupid and lost you never ever shows anything worth watching in continues to go in circles. ABC needs to reconsider don’t the people who actually watch tv have a choice in the matter?
