Reality TV Blogs Worth Reading
Posted by soultrance on Friday, April 13, 2007 at 6:00 am
As much as some people might not believe me, blogging really isn’t as easy as it looks. In the old days of news sites, newspapers and magazines, time wasn’t nearly as much a factor as it is in today’s world of blogging. Timing, quickness and content are all king in the world of blogging and it’s not easy to keep on top of everything. The blogs that are able to stay on top of their topics and cover them in a timely manner generally do very well.
Blogging on any topic can easily become a full time endeavour and as much as a lot of bloggers, myself included, would love to dedicate all their time to blogging, it’s just not financially feasible. So like any other blogger would, I do the best I can to stay on top of things and offer up witty, original content on a regular basis - which is sometimes easier said than done.
Running a blog takes a lot of motivation and dedication and I have nothing but respect for the bloggers of the world. For this very reason, I have decided to share the love with some of my favorite reality TV blogs. So get out there, check out these sites and show your support for the reality TV boggers out there.
Reality TV Blogs that Rock:
- TVGasm - Even though TVGasm isn’t updated as much as it used to be, it’s still a great source for original and entertaining TV related content. The writers at TVGasm clearly love what they do and have fun doing it, which is easily seen in every post on the site.
- Reality TV Magazine - With the amount of content that runs through this site you’d never guess that it’s run by only two TV addicts. The articles on Reality TV Magazine are generally short, to the point and informative, which no doubt makes it easier to push so many updates out the door everyday. Reality TV Magazine is without a doubt one of my favorite reality TV blogs.
- BuddyTV - Alright, I’m usually more a fan of the average Joe running a blog than the blogs owned by big companies, but BuddyTV is the exception to the rule. They have a ton of writers, a fantastic amount of original content and they are always able to score the best interviews in the TV world. BuddyTV is a must read for any true TV addict.
- Rickey - As much as I try to avoid American Idol now-a-days, I can’t help but read Rickey’s site. He is, without a doubt, the most dedicated American Idol fan I have ever come across and he manages to dig up every little bit of information circling the show and it’s past contestants. If you’re an American Idol fan, Rickey is definitely the site for you.
Well, there you have it, some of the best reality TV blogs online. Check them out, show your support for us poor, humble (ha!) bloggers and don’t hesitate to leave a comment. Any true blogger loves hearing what their readers have to say.

Whoever posted the winners of the Amazing Race 11 is such a fun ruiner. Get over the fact that you didn’t like watching the show. For me, i wasn’t planning on finding out who won, but clicked on the site, and there it was, the winner. What a waste of my time you idiot!!!

I’m sorry you feel that way, but if you are reading online about the Amazing Race and didn’t see this elsewhere, you’re not looking very much. The results have been leaked for a few months already. Also, I gave ample warning in the title and first portion of that post that the winners would be revealed. I even hid the break down behind a cut so people that didn’t want to know wouldn’t find out by mistake. If you still found out, you have no one other then yourself to be mad at as you were given every opportunity to avoid knowing.

I didn’t forget you at all, I just haven’t been giving Survivor Fiji nearly as much love as I should lately.
Glad to know you still read the site though, I’m still on yours daily. Thanks to you I’m addicted to that Desktop game. ![]()

Good article and thanks for the blog resources. I looked at some the sites suggested here and upon doing my own search, I found this one: http://www.Last2Left.com. It’s not a blog but rather a game.
It is a really unique concept for reality tv office pools, as well as sports, and the Presidential Election. It’s a really easy game format that works well for those of us with little time. Check it out.
