Big Brother 11 Episode 13

Ronnie and Lydia remained on the block in Big Brother 11 Episode 12, so one of them will be going home tonight unless they are saved by the coup d’etat, which I’m assuming is highly unlikely.

According to Julie Chen, it’s a whole new game. Unfortunately, it’s still probably going to be lame.

America has been voting for the week, in record numbers, which probably means that like 12 people have voted a million times each. They’re going to keep the decision a secret for now.

Jordan is convinced (again) that the votes are on her side. Lydia, meanwhile, is not convinced that she is safe, so it’s time to mope. At least she’s not crying for a change.

Michele and Jordan are talking about books. Russell doesn’t believe it. Jordan talking about literature? No, it’s really true. With Russell’s paranoia running, Michele takes the opportunity to tell him that his alliance was going to turn on him anyway. Jessie denies that Chima ever wanted to get rid of him. So Natalie sends Chima upstairs, telling her to play nice. Not content with that, Chima wants to drag Michele into the room. Now. Michele denies that she said anything. She stupidly believed what she was saying to Russell would remain in confidence. Now Russell looks like the liar. This is thoroughly amusing. The fight gets dragged outside where the whole yard can hear. Both Russell and Chima believe they win fights based on volume.

Ronnie’s plan to stay in the game: get a sympathy vote from Jordan. Really? Jeff and Jordan, taking their relationship the slowest in the history of Big Brother, have their first kiss, but their romance is destroyed by Ronnie’s attempt to beg for a sympathy vote. As begging goes, this is the most pitiful ever.

Russell kisses up to Julie, as if she has any power. Butter up a producer if you want assistance. Back to the game, which alliance is he loyal to? Jeff or Jessie? His answer: both.

It obviously was going to be Jeff or Jordan to get the coup d’etat, and it happens to be Jeff. It’s a popularity contest, after all, with no accounting for the fact that both of them suck at this game, although to be fair, it’s not like anybody else in the house knows what they’re doing. Big Brother has a history of making a special effort to keep the more popular players around for as long as possible. I do have a new rule to propose, though: no contestant gets a power they can’t even pronounce. Pointless for him to use it this week because he’d like to see either of the two go, but next week he could easily shake things up. Either that, or he’ll just not use it at all and make it useless like it was the last time.

Ronnie has positive things to say in his farewell speech. Until he gets to Michele, the worst human being he’s ever met. Okay, so you think she’s voting for him?

Votes
Kevin: Ronnie
Natalie: Lydia
Chima: Lydia
Jessie: Lydia
Michele: Ronnie
Jeff: Ronnie
Jordan: Ronnie

By a vote of 4-3, Ronnie has been evicted from the house. While he built up some loyal allies, he simply played too hard too obviously. Ronnie continues the pattern of whiners getting evicted. Although he has hugs for everybody else, he can’t get over that Michele refused to side with him. Granted, in her goodbye speech to him, Michele tells him she hates him, too.

Kevin sees a button out of the corner of his eye. So he pushes it. The result: the houseguests get advice from the fans all night long. Hopefully they paid close attention because the HOH competition is based on it. Michele and Lydia are eliminated on the first question. Everybody gets the second question right. Jessie gets the third question wrong. Jordan and Jeff are eliminated on the fourth question, but it really doesn’t matter because Jeff has the power of coup d’etat. Kevin and Natalie are eliminated, and Chima is the new HOH.

Time for the power to swing back that way? No. Not only can Jeff pull one or both nominees off the block, but he can also pick one or both replacements, which pretty much means Jessie or Natalie is going home unless somebody else really pisses off Jeff. Like I said at the start of the post: lame.

Big Brother 11 Episode 12

After Russell’s endurance HOH competition win in Big Brother 11 Episode 11, he nominated the two people he heard talking badly about him, Ronnie and Lydia.

Russell’s target here is Ronnie. He wants to see whether people will actually support him. I wouldn’t bet on it, but he should already have almost enough votes lined up.

Ronnie immediately goes to talk to Russell. It’s an emotional conversation complete with more lies. Russell doesn’t believe the fake crying.

Chima thinks Lydia should go home, but she will do what Russell wants. He wants Ronnie gone.

Jessie and Natalie are still pushing for Ronnie to stay. As for Chima, she still wants Lydia to go, no matter whether she agreed to do as he wants or not. As Russell sees it, Jessie and Natalie are scared, and they’re at the bottom of the pecking order. Well, that was fast. Thanks for the update. So who’s at the top of this pecking order?

Natalie goes to Michele to see if she can get the vote. She doesn’t trust Ronnie. As the split vote, it’s time for her to make a decision. No more under the radar.

Russell selects Michele to play for veto.
Ronnie picks Jessie.
Lydia picks Kevin.

They get dressed up in togas and review various random objects, such as a big guy that has Jessie afraid he may not be the biggest guy in the house and a bunch of rats. The players will answer questions based on these objects, and then they may choose to stay or fold. If they are closest, they will earn a point. If they are furthest, they will be eliminated. Typically in this competition, people just don’t try for a while and watch others eliminate themselves.

How many jewels are on the emperor’s chariot?
Michele, Lydia, Russell, Ronnie, and Kevin fold. Jessie stays and wins the point. Kevin was 1 away from the right answer of 514.

How many arrows are in the shield?
Michele, Lydia, and Ronnie fold. The total is 213 arrows. With a guess of 215, Russell gains a point. With 490 arrows, Kevin has been eliminated.

How many grapes are on the platter?
Michele and Ronnie fold. There are 907 grapes. Russell is closest with a sad guess of 320. With her guess of 241, Lydia has been eliminated.

How many marks are on the gladiator’s belt?
Ronnie, Russell, and Jessie fold, despite Russell being at 2 points. Michele does not fold, so she gets a point with her answer of 280 marks, compared with the actual answer of 177. Had Jessie not folded, he would have scored with 101.

How many rats are in the Roman underworld?
Russell, Ronnie, and Jessie all fold again. Michele gets a point by guessing 51 points. The actual answer is 149 rats, which Ronnie would have been closest to with 125 rats if he had stayed in. As amusing as Russell thinks he is, that number does not include Ronnie.

How many feathers are in the helmet?
Russell and Ronnie fold again. Jessie, however, finally stays. Nonetheless, Michele is the closest to the actual answer of 92 feathers with her answer of 68.

Michele wins the power of veto. The best thing about this competition being over? These stupid names ending in -us to symbolize the Roman theme can now no longer be used ever again.

Ronnie’s not above begging. What can he do to get Michele to use the veto on him? She’s not really giving him the time of day. Maybe later.

Instead, Michele would rather talk to Russell in his HOH room. Russell complains about how he’s like her. He doesn’t have anyone who’s a teammate, unlike Jeff and Jordan, Kevin and Lydia, and Natalie and Jessie. So if he’s worried about the teams, why is he targeting Ronnie? Natalie would like to interrupt them, but Jessie figures they’re going to talk regardless, so they may as well let them talk. Russell says that Jessie is threatened by him because he’s smarter than Jessie is. Like that joke doesn’t write itself.

Natalie tells Ronnie that Michele won’t be voting for him. So if she’s not going to vote for him, what prayer does he have of being saved by veto? Sweet talk over, Ronnie tries a threat. He’s with Chima, Jessie, and Natalie, so she will be evicted if she helps get rid of him.

Chima’s teasing Russell about hanging out with Michele. Because of this, Russell says that Chima is jealous. Wait, you got that from that? Now that that’s done, he would like to put Chima on the block. Dude, you really can’t be this emotional here. Emotional players shoot themselves in the foot, sometimes both feet and maybe their hands.

Not having learned from earlier, Ronnie continues to say stuff about Russell behind his back. Russell overhears again, and this time he walks in the room, then walks right back out.

Michele decides not to use the power of veto. Nobody is surprised. Michele says she’s standing on one side with her new team. She’ll need to actually vote with them to be able to join their team as a sixth and final member, but regardless things don’t look so good for Ronnie.

Big Brother 11 Episode 11

Following Casey’s eviction, we were left at the start of an endurance competition for HOH in Big Brother 11 Episode 10.

Jeff is happy to see the cliques gone because it means he can target the people in his clique (or that they can target him, which they would have done if they had the chance). Natalie is not happy. She liked having the added security. Chima is happy to get rid of those dorks.

So who’s the rat who voted out Jordan? Russell will be keeping that vote to himself. If it were intentional to stir up the house into a frenzy, I’d support it, but doing it to keep your word to a guy who’s not a factor doesn’t make much sense. Jessie realizes that Russell is hopefully still on his side, but that he’s a loose cannon who’s hot headed.

Kevin is the first to fall at 21 minutes. Lydia falls at 25 minutes. Kevin’s graduation gift is $5,000, which he hopes nobody targets him over. Lydia’s gift is a 42″ flat screen TV, an improvement over the 12″ TV she stole from her ex. Jessie’s not happy that they dropped so quickly and didn’t try. Natalie’s losing her lunch, but she’s not the next one out. Ronnie is at 46 minutes. Natalie is not far behind at 49 minutes. Ronnie gets nothing. Natalie gets also nothing. Jordan falls at 1 hour 37 minutes, unable to feel her legs. She gets the last prize, which also comes with a consequence. She’s a have for a week, and at the end of the competition, she must choose three houseguests to be have notes for the week. Fairest solution that also works strategically: the first three to fall. After being battered for a while, Chima falls at 2 hours 22 minutes. Jessie’s worried. He’s got Russell up there, but he doesn’t trust him. At 2.5 hours with Michele, Jeff, and Russell still left, Jessie tells Russell to make a deal with Jeff: if he drops, Ronnie will go up. Jeff’s willing to talk, if Michele falls. Jessie just wants Russell to know that he’s on his side. Michele falls at 2 hours and 41 minutes, but not before her pants fall off first.

Down to 2 and over 3 hours now. Jordan wants them to make a deal. Back to Ronnie. 46 hours ago, Russell overhead Ronnie talking badly about him to Lydia and Kevin (or rather, she talked badly and he agreed). Everybody else goes inside so they can talk. Russell swears on his dad that, not only is Jeff safe, but his partner Jordan is safe, too, a dangerous proposition. Normally, those words are the kiss of death, but Jeff accepts the deal. At 3 hours and 38 minutes, Jeff drops. Russell wins HOH.

With Russell as HOH, it’s time for the whole house to start feeling vulnerable.

Now that the competition is over, Jordan has to make a decision on who to be a have not. She draws from a hat: Natalie (who has a slop pass), Kevin, and Jessie. Although it was completely random, Jessie throws a fit.

Jessie realizes that Russell doesn’t control everybody’s votes, so Ronnie won’t necessarily go home if he’s put up. Anyway, Jessie and Natalie have decided they’re upset with Kevin and Lydia because they dropped first and got prizes.

Ronnie is begging America for the power. He promises to use it for good (aka Jessie and Natalie). Good luck with that pitch, dude.

Russell would like to form an alliance with Jeff, in hopes of giving them a big advantage in physical competitions.

This week, the have nots get squash and squid. This gets dumber every week.

Lydia plans to do whatever it takes to avoid getting nominated. The sweet talking isn’t working, but trying to sell out Jessie and Natalie may give him food for thought.

Chima, Jessie, and Natalie are next. Now that he tells them what he just heard, they’re all after Lydia worse than they were before.

Ronnie realizes he’s in jeopardy. He hopes he’s not part of the deal. He’d like to see Lydia and Kevin, the floaters, get nominated. Russell tells him he’s safe.

Nominations
Jeff is safe.
Jessie is safe.
Jordan is safe.
Chima is safe.
Michele is safe.
Natalie is safe.
Kevin is safe.

Lydia and Ronnie have been nominated for eviction. Not pulling any punches, he nominated Ronnie for what he overheard and for being a snake. He has nothing to say about why he nominated Lydia.

BB11 Spoilers

Big Brother 11 Episode 10

After Michele dumb lucked her way into a veto win in Big Brother 11 Episode 9, Jessie followed through on his plan to backdoor Casey, rather than his ally Ronnie like the rest of the house expected.

They promised us a big change at the end of the last episode. For once, it’s not a lame twist. Rather, it’s the reversal of a lame twist. With the popular clique nearly gone and the other cliques largely broken up already, school is out, as this year’s stupid twist comes to an end. Along with this good news comes stupid news. Julie tells us the new power to be unleashed on the house lies in America’s hands.

Casey looked around. He didn’t see any outrage. Didn’t they have a plan? Jeff’s frustrated, realizing he backed the wrong horse. Jordan calls Ronnie Jessie’s bitch. So what’s her role?

Lydia crawls into Jessie’s bed in the middle of the night. This is why there’s a lock on the HOH door, dude. She thinks maybe he’s dreaming about baby unicorns, riding his motorcycle, or possibly her. Yeah, I’d more likely go with the unicorns.

Jordan isn’t campaigning, hoping for Casey to sink himself. He’s definitely got a mouth on him. The potential problem is if he can swing the vote his way and get her kicked out. Nobody views Jordan as a challenge threat, whereas Casey would be out for revenge. Granted, a vengeful houseguest is a dangerous houseguest.

Jeff and Jordan have a budding romance going on, minus the pesky romance part.

Jessie considers his relationships with Lydia and Natalie to be merely platonic. Don’t tell them that. He realizes, though, that it’s very likely that they are playing him. He refuses to choose between the two.

In his final speech to secure votes, Casey flings insults at Ronnie and Jessie, then he calls the rest of the house a bunch of sheep.

Votes
Jeff: Casey
Ronnie: Casey
Natalie: Casey
Chima: Casey
Russell: Jordan
Michele: Casey
Lydia: Casey
Kevin: Casey

Staying true to his word to the guy who got evicted, Russell voted against Jordan, which will serve no purpose but to cause suspicion. By a vote of 7-1, Casey has been evicted from the Big Brother house. While leaving the house, Casey continues to whine. Like Laura, he should have kept his mouth shut from time to time. He apparently still doesn’t realize that Jessie eliminating Ronnie was a really stupid idea.

Julie breaks the news to the houseguests. The cliques are dead. As if they weren’t dead to begin with. With that ending comes a new beginning. One person will be granted a mystery power. Is this going to be like the mystery power Mike Boogie got that was so poorly planned he never got to use it? This mystery power can be used in the next two weeks, and it could completely change the course of the game. Dun dun dun. It will be America’s Choice who gets this power. Great, a popularity contest. This won’t end well.

Yeah, same damn power. Coup d’etat. That person can overthrow the HOH’s nominations. This is lame. And it’s been done before. Typical Big Brother. Because it’s America’s vote, I’m assuming it will go to the side of the house that’s played so poorly that their allies keep dropping like flies to give them some chance at catching up.

The HOH competition is an endurance competition. The last person hanging will be the new Head of Household. By the way, the first five people to be eliminated will be able to choose a gift from the table. Spinning them in circles isn’t enough, so they’ll add some rain to it. This could go on for a while, but if you want to know who wins HOH before Sunday’s show, check out the Big Brother 11 Spoilers.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of Big Brother 11 Episode 11, which airs Sunday at 9/8c on CBS.

Big Brother 11 Episode 9

After he won HOH, Jessie nominated Michele and Jordan in Big Brother 11 Episode 8. Both of them are pawns. Half the house, Jessie’s enemies, wants him to backdoor Ronnie. However, his main ally Natalie wants him to target Casey.

Jessie doesn’t view Ronnie as a threat to himself. He’s an extra target for someone else, and he’s also a potential ally.

Michele doesn’t believe anybody will actually stick their neck out there for her, nor is she giving anyone a reason to do so.

Ronnie offers to play in POV for Michele. Not happening. She doesn’t trust him to save her. Yeah, that attitude will gain her support. If he wins it, he’s safe, too. What harm is there in trusting him? Granted, he has less reason to use it than some of the other people in the house, but anybody else using it would rather save Jordan.

Chima’s onboard with the Casey plan. She wouldn’t mind Michele going home either. Kevin says he’s not really concerned about Ronnie either. Lydia’s fine with keeping Ronnie here.

While playing truth or dare, Kevin is dared to cuddle with Jessie for 10 seconds. Jessie is sleeping, but he wakes up to Kevin cuddling him. Ronnie is dared to give Casey a 20 second hug. This goes off better than the Jessie cuddle did, or so it appears at first. Casey has noticed that Ronnie is now hanging out with Russell. When all’s said and done, don’t ever send a rat to hug him again. It really isn’t going to be hard to convince these people to vote against Casey.

Now that Jessie’s told everybody his plan to backdoor Casey, it’s time to choose up for the veto competition. Regardless, Casey believes the Ronnie plan is still in play.

Jessie chooses Jeff.
Michele chooses Casey.
Jordan chooses Chima.

Ronnie does not have a chance to participate, but Casey is given the opportunity to save himself. Casey says he doesn’t care who wins, though. If Casey does somehow win, Jessie does not have a lot of choice here. He’s already made deals with the rest of the house telling them they’re safe, with the exception of Jeff, who he can’t nominate.

For the veto competition, the houseguests all get dressed up as pigs. Jordan is excited to do some mud wrestling, but they will just search for truffles. They can keep 4 that they think are high enough. The person with the highest total after 5 minutes will win. They will also face a few temptations along the way. Michele and Jordan know they need the veto. Casey assumes it doesn’t matter because Ronnie is the target anyway. Chima’s strategy is to stay clean in all this mud, which may be/contain manure.

Once they are done with the competition, they are allowed to pick from 6 envelopes, which may add points, subtract points, or be a surprise. Michele is willing to take a gamble and take an envelope. Casey feels safe, so he’s just looking for some stuff and chooses an envelope. Jeff picks an envelope, as does Jessie. Jordan and Chima decline.

Jessie: 26 points plus $2500 plus 5 points from the envelope, for a total of 31 points
Jordan: 24 points
Jeff: 27 points minus 5 points from the envelope, for a total of 22 points
Chima: 25 points
Casey: 22 points plus a margarita party plus a banana suit for a week (if he lasts that long) from the envelope
Michele: 28 points plus 7 points from the envelope, for a total of 35 points

Michele wins the power of veto, and she’s happy that she showed everyone that she can win a competition that required luck and a willingness to take a gamble.

The banana suit definitely looks like it will prove to be less enjoyable than the red unitard.

Who would Michele want to see go up, since she’s won? Oh, and she can’t pick Ronnie. Jessie says that he didn’t want someone to win the competition. By simple deduction, that leads her to know that the giant banana is his target. She plans to be nice to Jessie since he’s got the power, but she intends to get the votes and get rid of him eventually. Her and all her allies apparently.

Kevin suggests to Lydia that she should tell Jessie to cut ties with Natalie. Yeah, why don’t you do that, dude? Anyway, Kevin’s got a new plan. Keep Casey, get rid of Jordan.

Lydia tells Jordan the plan to nominate Casey, pretending like she’s not entirely sure. Jordan runs to tell Jeff. Jeff goes to Casey. Not wanting to wait until he’s on the block, we come full circle, as Casey wants to talk to Jessie, who tells him the right guy will be going home.

The Casey/Jeff/Jordan triangle is in a lose-lose situation regardless of what happens should Casey be the replacement, but Jessie really doesn’t have a lot of choice.

Michele has saved herself. Casey is the replacement nominee. It’s a nuthouse around here. Said the man in the banana suit. Jordan wants to know why Ronnie’s looking at her like that.

Jordan is tired of being on the block every week. She plans to win HOH next week. She believes she may not be the smartest Crayon in the box (I can’t be alone in not having heard that expression before)… but she’s not that dumb. Casey didn’t think Jessie was dumb enough to nominate an arch enemy.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of Big Brother 11 Episode 10, which airs Thursday at 8/7c on CBS.

Big Brother 11 Episode 8

Ronnie continued his manipulating ways, finally being busted by the whole house for being way too obvious about it. In the end, Laura was voted out in Big Brother 11 Episode 7, but she hopes she took Ronnie down with her.

Casey hopes that Ronnie is still the target. The reason he’s hoping that: he wants Jessie to waste his week as HOH. That way, next week, they can come after Jessie’s side of the house.

After Jessie’s win, Ronnie mouths the words “Thank God.” Here’s a tip for future BB players: after an HOH competition, anybody smart enough to be doing so is looking around at the reactions of other players. This is when true reactions come out. Kevin catches Ronnie saying this, and he knows that Jessie may well keep Ronnie safe.

Russell, who’s finally shaved that stupid moustache, has made a deal with Ronnie. Considering how he bullied him, this is the perfect alliance. Nobody would suspect these two together. Granted, they can’t actually trust each other either. Like Ronnie, Russell is trying to play everybody.

Natalie views Casey as a challenge threat.

The rest of the house is outside chatting. Ronnie’s by himself inside reading. Natalie would like him to at least make an effort and not hide, but she does want him to know he’s safe this week.

Jordan’s not impressed by Jessie’s big guns. Lydia, however, is impressed to see he’s got a motorcycle.

Lydia is attempting to tell Jessie how she feels about him. During this discussion, he’s distracted by her fake eyelashes and tongue ring. The discussion finally seems to go somewhere, but anyway Jessie wants to think he’s a beautiful butterfly waiting to come out, just like she is. Considering Natalie also likes Jessie, we’ve got the makings of a love triangle. This won’t end well, and the increasing size of Jessie’s ego may well damage the foundation of the house.

Ronnie wants to rebuild relationships. Michele doesn’t care.

As for Michele, she’s looking to build relationships as well. She comes to speak to Jessie, which she never does unless he has some type of power. Natalie asks her whether she won’t put them up if she wins HOH. She will appreciate them and remember it. That’s not a real answer.

One person from each group will participate in the have/have not competition. Chima will play for the brains. Kevin will play for the offbeats. Jordan will play for her team of one. They will race their BB cruisers to collect ice cubes to put in the other teams’ cups. The clique with the most cubes in their cup after 15 minutes will be the have nots. They’re wearing drunk goggles, and it all depends on aim, so it’s less likely they will be able to make sure things go their way. Such as when Jordan hits herself, on more than one occasion. As if they can’t see to begin with, foam sprays out after a while to obstruct their vision even more. Kevin is targeting the brains. By the end of the game, every bin is pretty full, so they’re hoping to think strategically and see if they can knock cubes out of their cups. They realize this is ultimately a dumb luck competition about how the cubes settle in the cups. 15 minutes was far too long. Don’t they test these games first?

Offbeats: 12
Popular: 11
Brains: 13

The brains are the have nots for the week. In addition to slop, they will be able to snack on cabbage and cocktail weenies. Ronnie is happy with weenies. Chima thinks America sucks.

America’s next vote: squash and squid, brussel sprouts and borscht, or liverwurst and black licorice.

Kevin and Russell are bonding, at least to the extent that they can. Kevin gives Russell kudos for trying.

Lydia’s getting all bent out of shape. Tell me something new. In order to prove a point, she’s decided to stay up all night because Natalie doesn’t want to share her bed. Kevin tells her this is a disaster waiting to happen. Don’t piss of the HOH’s closest ally. Natalie wants Jessie to tell Lydia not to talk to her. Jessie wants to talk with Lydia, but talking can wait until tomorrow.

Casey will be happy with Jessie if he nominates Ronnie. Otherwise, Jessie has added yet another target to his back. So again why should he go along with this plan if he’s already got multiple targets on his back?

Because Jessie is HOH, Ronnie feels as safe as he possibly can this week.

Michele is unsure because she realizes nobody really cares if she walks out that door. At the same time, nobody really actively wants her to leave either.

Nominations
Russell, Jeff, and Natalie are safe because an athlete is HOH.
Chima is safe.
Kevin is safe.
Casey is safe.
Lydia is safe.
Ronnie is safe.

Jordan and Michele have been nominated for eviction. That’s it. No reason given. Michele would like to think she’s closer with the athletes than Jordan is. That’s not saying much. Jordan hopes they’re both just pawns to backdoor Ronnie. Jessie does have a master plan. He knows Jordan and Michele are hopeless when it comes to competitions, giving himself a greater chance of winning veto. If someone pulls one of them off the block, he can backdoor someone he really wants out of the house. He does not elaborate.

Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of Big Brother 11 Episode 9, which airs Tuesday at 9/8c on CBS.

BB11 Spoilers

Big Brother 11 Episode 7

Ronnie’s plan was to backdoor Russell. That all went to hell quickly in Big Brother 11 Episode 6, as he took Jeff off the block and put Jordan up in his place, hoping to seal Laura’s fate.

Ronnie sees Laura as a threat to him, and he’s right. She’s definitely on to him, and she’s smarter about the game than she may have at first appeared. Her problem is she doesn’t know who to say things to and who not to say things to, and her lack of ability to form alliances leaves her flailing about.

However, Ronnie promises that Russell is on his hit list. Yeah, just give Russell’s alliance the numbers, then target him. Granted, Russell’s mouth will probably get him in too deep sooner or later.

The potentially good thing about eliminating Jordan is that you completely isolate Jeff. But c’mon who’s afraid of Jordan?

That’s Laura’s only card to play, aside from making fake promises. Break up the couple.

Ronnie invites Natalie, Chima, Lydia, and Kevin up to his room to see what they think about keeping Laura. Without hesitation, both Lydia and Chima don’t want to go along. Since nobody’s biting this, he takes the opportunity try to get them to at least hate Russell. He claims that Russell said that he can get the votes to keep Laura.

Natalie goes to Jessie. Jessie goes to Russell, who denies it. Then the rest of the house comes out into the backyard to join the discussion. Let’s drag Ronnie out there then. Laura’s plan: if she leaves this week, at least she’s taking the liar down with her. Ronnie doesn’t say anything, but he doesn’t have to say anything. Everybody can see the lies, and Ronnie just keeps digging himself in deeper and deeper. Now both sides are talking, and they see that he’s been lying to everybody. After locking himself in his room, Ronnie decides he should have put Russell’s ass up. No, what he should have done was play less aggressively, or at least play smarter.

Ronnie has barricaded himself in the HOH room. It’s a good thing he’s got all that HOH food up there so he doesn’t have to starve. When BB calls Ronnie into the diary room, Russell views this as an opportunity. He’s waiting to confront him. Russell has made it his mission in life to torture Ronnie all day long. Does this guy actually think this is helping his cause? Surely being a bully won’t win you anything, and its side effect may be some sympathy for Ronnie.

Ronnie tells us he’s only got allegiance to the athletes, and he’s just trying to get information from the other side of the house. He believes he’s got an underlying tone of sympathy from the house.

Votes
Jeff: Laura
Jessie: Laura
Natalie: Jordan (to spice things up in the house)
Casey: Laura
Russell: Laura
Kevin: Laura
Lydia: Laura
Chima: Laura
Michele: Laura

By a vote of 8-1, Laura has been evicted from the Big Brother house. Kudos to Natalie for screwing with people’s minds. They all made the right choice here. Laura was definitely the bigger threat. If only she’d talked less to the wrong people and more to the right people, she could have made it pretty far. That whole pointing fingers at the HOH before nominations stupidity was well worth being evicted for. She believes she’s taken Ronnie down right away. Take out the guy you may or may not be able to trust, or take out the guy you know you can’t trust. I don’t think this is a slam dunk here. With Laura’s eviction, the popular clique consists of one. Not so popular now.

It’s now time for the HOH competition. One at a time, they will each shoot a single ball into the honeycomb target.

Michele: 4
Jessie: 6
Kevin: 5
Natalie: 2
Lydia: 1
Russell: 5
Chima: 3
Jordan: 1
Jeff: 6
Casey: 1

That brings us down to a tiebreaker.

Jessie: 6
Jeff: 3

Jessie is the HOH. Again. Certainly an opportunity for him to make additional enemies. His only safe bet is to target Ronnie, although that would be a wasted week.

BB11 Spoilers

Big Brother 11 Episode 6

When Ronnie nominated Laura and Jeff in Big Brother 11 Episode 5, his real plan was to evict Russell, or so we were told.

Ronnie tries to comfort Laura, but she believes that every single thing he’s ever told her is a lie.

Russell’s plan is to try to get in good with the other alliance. Either that, or he’s at least trying to convince the other side that he’s tired of playing the game. Then he returns into the house, asks if everybody’s still talking game, and screams at Lydia for no good reason.

Natalie is skeptical, but Jessie wants to keep him on their side, as long as he’s still on their side. Jessie’s theory, which may well be how it turns out, is that Russell is the bigger target and, therefore, will be the first one to go home. Problem is if Russell goes up and gets saved, his closest ally becomes the next target.

Here come the waterworks. Once Lydia’s done crying, she wants to backdoor Russell.

Jordan doesn’t know how to tell time on a clock when somebody says something like it’s quarter to the hour. Rather than learning, she’ll just keep asking different people until she gets the answer she can understand. So Jeff hopes to teach her. Good luck with that, dude. You need to teach her math first. These numbers are far too big for her to calculate. She’s only got 10 fingers and 10 toes.

Chima and Casey go on their first date to see The Ugly Truth, pig out, and drink margaritas. Jeff wishes he was up there so he could be with Jordan. Awww. Despite that, he still trusts nobody.

Ronnie selects Russell to participate in the veto competition. That backdoor looks a little open.
Laura selects Natalie.
Jeff selects Casey.

When they walk into the yard, there’s money everywhere. In each round, Big Brother will ask them to collect a certain dollar amount from pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. They will have two minutes to collect their change. The houseguest furthest from the target amount will be eliminated. The winner of each round will be able to pick a money bag. There is a $5,000 bag, a slop pass, and an empty bag. If they take a bag, they will be eliminated. Laura’s not a big fan of counting and stuff.

They are asked to bring $100 in quarters. Jeff has a strategy of counting off $10 at a time. Ronnie is pretty much just guessing. The change will be counted by Coinstar. Yeah, they apparently even managed to turn them into a sponsor. So does the 8.9% fee count against the total? Natalie got $560.50… wow. Russell got $179.25. Casey has a difference of $61.50 to take the lead. Laura has a difference of $243.50. Ronnie has a difference of $507.70. And he’s the smartest guy in this competition? Michele wants him to be a little more subtle in the future when throwing competitions. Jeff has a total of $87.50, for a difference of $12.50, which makes him the winner of the round. Ronnie has been eliminated. He denies throwing the competition. Jeff has no interest in the bags.

The next task is to collect $75 in dimes. Natalie had a difference of $16.90. Russell had a difference of $32.80. Casey had a difference of $20.30. Laura had a difference of $269.80. Okay, that’s even worse than Ronnie last round. Jeff’s difference was $5.80, so he wins again. Laura has been eliminated. She’s much less likely to be accused of throwing it. Jeff again declines the bag.

Big Brother has now asked for $40 in nickels. Natalie’s difference is $5.60. Russell’s difference is $15.55. Casey’s difference is $21.40. Jeff’s difference is $7.35. Natalie wins this round. Casey has been eliminated. Unlike Jeff, Natalie wants the bag. Not a wise idea this early in the game. She gets the slop pass, which at least is not cash because that could have created resentment. As it is, it looks like she feels safe enough to not want veto.

Big Brother wants $10 in pennies. Russell’s amount is $8.59 for a difference of $1.41. Jeff’s total is $10.97 for a difference of $0.97. Jeff has won the power of veto, redeeming himself for his earlier inability to spell.

If Kevin’s onboard with Lydia and Chima, Ronnie will agree to backdoor Russell. Laura will agree to anything. Whether she’ll actually live up to it remains to be seen. She agrees to not put up Ronnie, Lydia, or Kevin. I get the sense Laura’s not dumb enough to win HOH, though. Natalie doesn’t like the plan, since Jessie won’t like it. So then they bring Jessie in. Do you really need to run this by everybody in the house, including Russell’s closest ally? Jessie doesn’t like the plan, but despite putting his two cents in that it’s a mistake, he does say that he’ll go along with whatever they want to do. He doesn’t understand why they would trust Laura instead. Ronnie realizes that Russell is a potential ally, albeit an unstable one.

At the veto ceremony, Jeff obviously uses the veto to save himself. In his place, Ronnie has decided to nominate Jordan, further decimating the popular clique however the vote goes. Jordan now realizes that Ronnie is playing both sides. However, Ronnie’s not really targeting her. Nobody trusts Laura, with good reason. His hope is that Jordan is liked enough that people will keep her around. It’s too early to get rid of Russell, but the damage is done, since Russell is aware that Ronnie doesn’t trust him.
