The alliance of 80% of the tribe shockingly fell apart in Survivor: Heroes Vs. Healers Vs. Hustlers, voting out JP in what was called an epic blindside but should have been seen a mile away.
Chrissy is whiny about it, but Ryan pretends it’s all okay and he is just happy to still be in the game.
Devon tells Ryan that he knows that someone else was told about the idol, which is what scared him to do what he did.
For the reward challenge, they will swim to a boat, paddle to shore collecting three bags of logs, push puzzle pieces through a tunnel, and solve the puzzle. Reward is a Survivor spa. Lauren, Ryan, Mike, and Chrissy (red) are against Ben, Ashley, Joe, and Devon (blue). The blue team is ridiculously stronger, which will help with the lifting. They are done pushing the pieces before the others even start. There is some likelihood that the presumably smarter team could catch up, but they don’t.
Joe is convinced he’s found a true alliance. Apparently he has not been paying attention to the fact that there are multiple people who hate him. Little does he know they can get rid of him tonight if they want because of the extra vote.
Mike doesn’t even try to even play along with Ryan’s plan to reel him in. Rather, he pretty much tells him to get lost. Lauren similarly dismisses Chrissy, though not quite as blatantly.
For the immunity challenge, they will use a driving wheel to transport a key through a series of obstacles, unlock puzzle pieces, and solve a word puzzle (one word). Ryan and Mike fall apart on the obstacles, and the bad news is that they need to cross them multiple times because they can only fit so many puzzle pieces in each trip. Devon, Ashley, and Ben are in the lead. Chrissy and Lauren finally catch them. Chrissy figures out the word despite how far ahead the others were, and she wins immunity.
They want to get rid of Joe for personal reasons. To save Lauren’s extra vote, which has the potential to bite him eventually, Devon has an idea. Tell Joe and Mike they are going to split the votes so they throw theirs away. Smarter to flush that advantage so you don’t have to worry about it in the future. Is it really going to be used to save him?
Lauren and Ashley don’t actually want to sit next to Ben in the end, but it’s not really time to flip again just yet, even though it would be easy to rally the votes.
Ryan plays his idol.

With 4 votes, Joe has been voted off the island. On paper, Joe seems like a strong player, but in practice, he hasn’t been nearly as dangerous as they painted him.
